Raewyn swung her leg off her horse and walked to a spot just along the line of the beach and trees. Her rangers cloak raised up a bit as the sea breeze blew in. she smiled at the coolness of the night as Melantia neighed.

"Shhh, Melantia. There is nothing to harm you on this night." Raewyn spoke softly in Sindarin as she rubbed her balck hosre's nose. It was bueatiful out here. In a way it reminded her of the misty forest. However without orcs, wraiths and Gil-Estel. She shook her head and gathered some wood to make a fire. After the fire was made Raewyn sat beside Melantia who was all ready lying down. Raewyn pulled her cloak around her and placed her sword by her hand. She stared into the fire as the sun fully set and the moon had arisen to it's peak.

Arthur loved this place it was peaceful to him. It brought him calm and made him relax. It was here that he could leave the rest of the world and be alone with himself and his thoughts. Sometimes there was an occasional person onthe beach but none bothered him. He sat on the beach looking out at the sea and the waves crashing against the shore. He smield to himself and said," Arthur this is the life, one day when you truly retire your gona live here and settle down". It was wisfull thinking but he really wouldn't mind living here one day.

He noticed a fire in the distance amd decided maybe he could use company just this once. He walked forward carrying the bags that held his armor whith him. It was not wise to wear armor at the beach, it ot rusty and full of sand and he did not want to have to deal with that. He soon came upon the fire and saw an elven maid by it with a black horse. Luckily for him he was in human form or that horse woud scramble at the first sight and smell of him. He then cried out," Ho the fire, may a humble traveler grace its precense".

RAewyn was about to close her eyes as she heard a voice from down the beach. Melantia's ears perked up and she eased back.

"Depends, if you are friend or foe. Do you have any intentions of harming myself or my horse?" Raewyn knew the person probally wouldn't hurt them but it never hurt to be careful.

Arthur smiled and said," Nay fair elf, its against my code to harm the innocent, as well is it against my code to harm women, as for the horse we should get along fine". He laughed and approached the fire at least far enough off so that the elf could examine if he was any harm. He then said," You have nothing to fear of me dear lady, just say I am a lion at rest and no harm till I waken". Then he thought of something. He spoke the little Sinadrin he knew and said," I promise not to harm you as long as no thoughts of harm come to you of me".

Rawyn stood and nodded. "Yes kind sir. You may. and no thoughts of harm shall come of you. It is not my nature to attack on a willful moment." She beckoned him to come closer to the fire. She sat back down beside her horse.

"What may I call you sir?"

Arthur smiled at the elf and sat down by the fire. He then said," Who I am is no simple answer". He paused for a minute letting that stand and then answered in a riddling way as his father would," For I am no single enitity, no one being, I am everything yet nothing at the same time, I am an idea, I am a cause, I am leader and a follower, I think therefore I am, simply though I was once known as Arthur Pendragon the Evil Dragon Slayer, now I am Arthur Paendrag Tanreall, you however may call me Arthur dear lady".

He smiled to himself satified that he answered in the way his father would. Arthur then said to her," And you dear elf I am sure there is a name to your face, or would you rather it a riddle". He chuckled at himself and waited for her answer.

Raewyn watched the man as he riddled out his name. When he was done she nodded. "Very intresting sir. However I perfer not to riddle my name for my riddle wouldn't make sence. I am a ranger in these parts... all parts. My name is Raewyn." She spoke with clear confidence and truth.

Arthur laughed a bit and said," A pleasure to meet you then, and I am sorry but I* had to make my name in a riddle, my father told me that as I got older I would have to introduce myself in a complicated way, not sure why but thats what my father and his kind have done for generations". He then knew he almiost made a mistake he had in away hinted he was not totally human by saying what his father had told him. He acted though as if he had done something very normal hoping she would not catch the hint/. He wanted people to judge him before they got a glimpse of what he truly was. He then said," A ranger now that is an interesting lifestyle, I have some friends that are rangers good people, love the forest so they are okay in my book".

"I am quite glad that ranger are okay in your book. So tell me what are you doing all the way out here? Not many come this way. " Raewyn asked with intrigue. She knew why she was out here but why anyone else would come this way was beyond her.

Arthur smiled a sad smile and looked out at the oceaqn for a while before answering. He sighed and said." I come this way as often as I can, this place is peaceful and calm, I like it because of that, I come here when I am troubled or in need of some peace". He chuckled sadly to himself and continued to look out at the waves. He then said," It is here that I can find the peace I seek when the world is in turmoil and I must get away from the turmoil, it is here that I can rest at ease when I am weary, one day I will live here of that I am sure I have forseen it".

He shook his headn smiled to himself and said to her," Yes in away I can see the future, mostly it has to with my own, and sometimes I can see others if my path crosses theirs, and sometimes I can't it matters, I got the ability from my father, my father is able to see if greatness is in store for someone and I recived that abilty". He then sat back a bit and said," I recived many things from him, one of which was the love of the ocean and of all thigns living even if I hunt them to survive in the world".

Raewyn noded as Arthur spoke. A familar pang in her chest came as he spoke. Oh no.... not now. His face shot through her mind as a tear leaked out.

"I agree with you there. It is so peaceful here. A perfect place to come when your troubled. It clears your mind." She said sadly.

Arthur nodded agreeing with the elf. He pretened not to notice the tears coming from her, he thought she would not want him to see it. Arthur was a man who understood alot of things and knowing when not to see something was one of the things he understood as well as knew. He then said," THough I have earned this peace I can never stay in any place to long, I am a born wanderer like my father, I never stayed in a place long enough to call it home, except maybe where my mother is".

He smiled thinking about his woodland home and he found himself wondering what his family was doing now. He told himself he would go for a visit soon and he hoped he would kept his word to himself. He then said," I myself have not been home in seven years, spent all of those seven years bringing justice to evil dragons, and searching for the lost long heirloom of my family, I am actgually glad I finished those two things, now the only problem is figuring where to go next, its interesting really, spend along tiem dedicating yourself to one thing and when its donje you are no longer sure of what to do".

"Seven years. Seven years ago I made a huge mistake that cost me my heart. Now I wander all of the time. It never quite works out how you want it to. Does it?" Raewyn spoke as she layed her head agianst Melantia's neck and mane. Her heart seemed to be crying as she did.

Arthur looked at her when she said that and he understood what she meant. He had come close to losing his heart and alot of other things in seven years. He had nearly lost it all to vengence and a vendetta. He could understand what she meant better than most. He said," I came close to losing my heart, and all because of vengence and a vendtta, that was the first time, the second time will be desire and arrogance, notice I said will be it hasn't happened yet, but it will I can feel it". The reason for that was because he knew himself well enough to know when he might fall and so he would try and prevent it from happening. HE then said," The trick is preventing it from happening, and if it does happen, do not change your perspective, go on with your head high and say I did the best I could and should be proud for trying as I did, and now I know how to stop it, learn from your mistakes don't let them make your life what you don't want,instead make the mistakes better your life, I have and I am a better person for it".

"My mistake is one that when you finally do learn from it.... it's too late to do anything about it. "Raewyn shook her head and looked at him. SHe knew that nothing could help her with the problem now. "If you don't mind but what hapened? How did you almost lose yours?"

Arthur sighed to himself he had never told anyone that story no one not even those he trusted. HE then said," It is a long story, so try to listen and don't tell anyone this story for it is mine and mine alone". He sighed then looked at the fire and began," Its starts when I was 16, I was a happy boy with loving parents and everything, but time changed, 16 evil dragons captured my father while he was traveling. When my father did not return after a certain time my mother grew worried as did I and my brother. Well after few more days of waiting, my father contacted me through his magic and told me of all that happened. He said he was being held by 16 evil dragons that intended to kill him and take his power. My father told me what to tell my mother and not to come after him. I ignored all of it as anger filled me, such intense anger and hatred, something I have never felt since that day. I took up a sword my father had given my mother long ago and I left my home. It took me many days to find him, but those days were nothing to me, as it seemed no time passed for me so intense was my anger and hatred. I soon found my father in a cave high in the mountains where dragons such as this resided. I saw the dragons guarding him awaiting the arrival of their leader. My anger then erupted and I changed, everything changed. Time was mien those dragons were mine, for the following blood filed moments I was invincible, I could not be stopped, and I killed all but four of those dragons, the four that survived me died by my father’s hands."

He paused taking a breath for himself calming himself a bit and then continued." After that battle my anger cooled as did my hate but they were still there, I took from there minds information pertaining to his capture, all in all two hundred dragons planned to kill him and take his power, I put all their names into my heart and soul. When I was 18 I left home to seek out my vengeance against them. For four years I hunted dragons purely out of vengeance, then when I was 22 it all changed to a vendetta, I said all evil dragons are alike they were all in it, an for two years, I killed any evil dragon that crossed my path, without mercy or hesitation. Then 3 months after I turned 24 I met this wonderful creature the creature that saved my life from darkness. She showed me that I was slowly becoming what I hunted that I was losing all humanity, which soon all I would have was my hate and nothing else would be left. My life then changed, I sought forgiveness in Life’s temple and it was given, and from then on killing evil dragons was not about hate, it was about life, light and justice."

HE paused again taking a breath and then continued," I then found the leader of those evil dragons, his name Arin'Kar, which in dragon tongue meaning cannot be spoken, for his true essence was evil, I faced him without hate or anger, and I killed him, in the end of it as he was dying he saw what he really was and he asked my forgiveness, and I gave it to him, sincerely I did. From then one I never killed another dragon. In the end I killed over 340 evil dragons something even the greatest of dragonslayers have never accomplished. I brought back my heart and my peace."

HE then looked at her and said," So you can be redeemed you only have to let yourself be redeemed and not let it define you".

Raewyn listened intently to Arthur's story. She nodded every so often. She could see how it was tough for him.

"I am not to sure I would know how to do that. At least you have your heart mine is gone and probally won't come back for a long time."

Arthur smiled sadly and fell silent thinking. Then it came to him she was crying, she had a heart just a broken one , people without hearts did not cry. He then said his old smiled back," Raewyn, your heart is not gone, its just broken, if your heart was gone, you would not be crying, or holding that horse the way you do, belive me I have met people without hearts, they show no emotion, they are a shell, still with a soul but a shell none the less, you have a heart its a broken one but its still there".

He smiled to himself finally figuring out what was wrong with the elf. He then said," The trick is mending it, people can help you do it, but it is you in the end that totally mends a broekn heart, people though are the intial needle, people like me and any kind soul is the needle and thread to mending your broken heart". He smiled at her his eyes glowign in the firelight. He then said," Now don't ask me how to mend it even, I don't have teh answer to that, no one does, not even my father, you would have to figure it out for yourself". HE then said," I can help you do it, in fact I may have in a way already have". He smiled to himself wonderign what she would now think on this.

Raewyn looked at him. "My heart was shattered. Their are so mant peices of it that mending it would be practilly impossible." She looked at the ground it was hard but maybe talking would help.

"It was seven years ago. I was in the Misty Forest. We met after he tryed to scared me but in turn he fell. " She laughed a little at the memory." We traveled to gether and I was injured by an orc arrow in my shoulder. It was piosoned with a slow acting poisen. We traveled together headed for the Mines and a healer. We were a day away when wraiths caught up with us. I don't remeber much about that becuase of the poison. We made it to the mines and fours days later he left." She paused for a moment before starting agian.

"A while later same year but a few days before christmas We met up again. We both fell and fell hard. We spent every waking minute together. On christmas day we went to a party. There was when we broke it off. We both loved eachother. We were both in love but I am a ranger he as royalty. We knew it wouldn't have worked. My heart was broken on that day seven years ago. I don't think I have ever even tryed to mend it. " She stared into the fire.

Arthur smiled sadly at her and looked into the fire and said," Nothing is impossible Raewyn, there is only the improbable, meaning anything can happen its just not likely, they said what the legnedary King Arthur did was impossible but he did it, they said me finding his sword Excalibur was impossible, but I did it, mending your heart is hard but not impossible, anything but death can be healed or mended". He stocked the fire with a stick and thought some more. HE then said," It is an interestiung story and explains soemthings, but him being royalty is no excuse for leaving you, even royalty have a choice of who they love, they just don't realize it, my mother said thatm, and she would know, she is royalty, and if I was in love with a woman who was not royalty, I woudl love her still no matter what others said".

He then sighed to himself and said," I am royalty from two ways, my mother was a princess till she was 16 25 years before my birth, her father was King Urther Pendragon, the last living decendant of King Arthur wielder of Excalibur, their kingdom was destroyed, by Rakus and Itas forces, my mother was to be sacrficed, but my father saved her, as such I am the heir to King Arthurs lost kingdom, but I am also something more, my father is no oridary person, he is not a person, he is a dragon, I am a half-dragon, now don't think anything less of me just because my fatehr is a dragon and I am a half-dragon I still am a living being with feelings and I have a good heart, well my father is a War Dragon, the war dragons are the the biggest and fiercest of all dragons, and my father is their leader, thus that makes him the King of all dragons, thus I am also an heir to the Dragon Throne, as such no prince or king can claim my lineage as mine is greater thany any, but I still would choose the woman I love be she low or high, and I would not care what anybody said".

HE then looked at her the fire back in his eyes and he said," Now your friend, needs a good talkign to, and he needs to understand he should not care, and that your feelings are paramount to what he wants". He then calmed himself realizingwhat he had said. HE thne said," I am sorry I went to far, I did not mean to carry on so, its just I hate seeign people hurt".

Raewyn bit her lip. "It was more of a mutual thing. We both broke it off we discussed it and knew it would work. We were just two differnet people." She shook her head.

"It's fine Arthur. No need to apologize for your opinons. " she looked at him "Half Dragon huh? That's pretty cool."

Arthur looked at the elf this was definately something diffrent than any thing he had encountered before. Acutally breaking up when there were diffrences and you knew it woudl work was beyond comprehension for Arthur. He had a saying and that was opposites usually attract. He was at a lose what to say to her now. He then answered her on somethign else," Yes well its a life and I live it, it has its advantages and disadvantages, some people hate me no matter what I have done for them, others liek me, and thsoe that don't know think of me as their ally or hero, I am an ally but no hero".

HE smiled at himself, he was a hero he just didn't liek thinking of himself as one because taht would bring him only more arrogance. He then said," Still the only real problem is outliving some of my friends, and my mother, like elves I am partiaslly immortal, so like I said advantages and disadvantages".

Raewyn lifted er head high and looked at Arthur. "I can understand that. It must be hard. However I guess in a way it makes a person stronger though each obstlce." She looked over the sea as the peaks of oranges began to touch the night sky on the horizon.

Arthur smiled at her and said," What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger as they say". He looked into the fire and wondered on what he could do to help her. He knew nothing of the love of women. He knew a fathers love and a sons love but that was not enough in this situation. HE then said," Life is hard but you learn to live with it and usually you are better for it, because if i is hard you grow stronger and learn more than if it is easy, and for me its never easy. I like to be challenged".

HE looked out at the fading sunset and said," Good its getting dark, I liek this part of the day the ocean shines more as it gets darker". He smiled and then saqid to her," Sometimes hard and strogn get confused though hard breaks, strong survives, so do not make yourself hard, make yourself strogn and you can weather anything".

Raewyn watched as the sun set down in the horizon. She closed her eyes and remembered the sunset that she watched with him. As she opened her eyes she smiled. "I agree it is the best time of the day. " She spoke softly as she put a few more sticks on the fire.

Arthur felt the urge to go on and be about his business but he wanted to stya because he needed a break and a long one. He watched the sun sink for awhile before speaking and said," There is a time for us all in the end of things, my time with you is coming to a close, the reason for this is because, I achived what I sought to do, you have brought me a time of peace in this on going battle called life, and I hope I managed to bring peace in your time of turmoil". He did not want to leave but he had to adventure awaited and he knew exactly where to go.

He then said," If you ever need help, do not fear to call for me, because I will come as if the very wind was my bearer, just call Dar'Vaeg and I will come if you ever need help". He smiled ta her and said," I hope you can get back your heartm and hopefully it will not be to late, one day you will get it back, how I know, I don't but they always come back". HE stood up and siad," It wasnice to meet you Raewyn, may you find water and shade this day". He gathered his things and went away from the fire and called back as he left," The wind carries any message, whisper into it yoru desire and it will be answered". He then walked away into the fading darkness.

Raewyn got up as he did. "I enjoyed talking to you. Thank you so much Arthur." She watched as he gathered his things. "I will very much calll If I need anything." Raewyn watched as he walked away then a thought hit her. It was near christmas. Near the party. She couldn't live with this anymore. She had to clear a few things up. See him one last time. She got MElantia up. "Hello darling. Want to see an old friend." As if she knew what Raewyn was talking about her ears perked. "Let's go" She said as she rode towards Yomenïampa.
