Cinaed J'Delrndi - December 11, 2007 02:29 AM (GMT)
The cloak was heavy, draped around his shoulders since its little cleaning. Still very damp, the water weighed it down against him, as if trying to stop him from continuing his journey to nowhere in particular. His steady pace slowed to a walk, and Cinaed let out a slow exhale, his broad chest encaving as he seemed to deflate. He stopped completely, and leant against a tree, breathing slowly, comfortably.

In the back of his mind, there seemed to be something nagging at him. It was as though his spider senses were tingling. A ghost of a smile touched his face as his eyes closed momentarily. He had promised to stop using that joke when he gave up the religious practices of the other Drow. Opening his eyes, his smile was gone just as quickly as it had appeared. A new look of determination had been caught on his eyes.

A brooding intensity seemed to cackle, as if he were being incased within electricity. There really was something wrong. Then again, nothing had really been going right since his House had been betrayed. He was the glorified champion of House J'Delrndi, and now look at him. A traveller with nothing but rags and a single sword. Was his honour really worth this?

He could go back to the Underdark. Sure, there would be alot of loose ends to tie up, alot of skulls that would need cracking, and probably a severe beating upon himself. Maybe he could portray some sort of Arbiter for his new Matron Mother. Hell, it seemed as though a life fighting to die would be just as good a life as running from Bounty Hunters. What the hell, he had began his life fighting anyway, why not end it the same way? Go out with a bang...

Who was he kidding? There was no plausible way he could return to that now. He was too mature now to live only for glory, for his honour was worth more, I think. Oh well, we will just have to play it out, see how it goes. Who knows, maybe he could find some glory up here.

Pyrrhus Nolan - December 11, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
Pyrrhus pulled his horse to a stop. The great expanse of water in front of him was the great Lake Aelin. And somewhere near here was his and Ili's target. A drow. this hunt would be interesting. Yes he know outnumbered the Drow but that race were known for their skill at arms. At least he supposed in direst need he could call on the Dragons, well maybe. He got off his horse and spread his wings the cool waters lapping at his feet. "I am going to scout for him from the air. You can either wait here and set up camp or head round the lake. I am open to suggestions if you have any though." He was new to sharing his decisions with anothjer and was trying to be as polite as possible. But he wasn't know was his manners. No he certainly wasn't.

Elisiryn - December 11, 2007 07:15 PM (GMT)
Everything seemed to be calm around the lake, the drow's eyes began to look around the lake for any indication of any other life besides the animals that we're in the lake. Rearing the horse that had brought her to the pond, she quickly disembarked from the horse and began to move her toward the pond so that she could get her fill of water. Once the horse had gotten it's fill of water, Ila pulled a bag of oats out from the traveling pack that was given at the stables and placed it around the horses mouth. All was set for the horse now it was time for the work to begin.

Turning her attention toward Nolan who had already began to make his move, the drow's face had remained expressionless for quite some time. She would have to hunt her own kind,...again. As she brought the hood of the cloak closer up about her head her voice was soft against as she began to speak. " I will check around the lake for quite some time before, setting up camp. I just rather feel safe knowing that the person we hunt, won't be close by. I certainly don't want to fall pray to an ambush when it could be avoided. " A soft smile had finally appeared upon the Drow's lips.

With that Ila began her slow walk around the base of the lake.

Cinaed J'Delrndi - December 11, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
Cinaed had resumed walking by this point, unwilling to stop yet. Night had just fallen, and so he would be able to put alot of ground behind his quick feet before the sun rose again. The night felt good, the skies were clear and the breeze was cool as it brushed against his face. Maybe this was his world, afterall. He could not quite decide if the comfort of the night was worth endearing the rest of the day, and the sun beating down upon him, as if trying to once again banish him from its tranquil lands, and send him once agin back to the Underdark. Yet anyone who had met him would be able to attest that Cinaed did not give up.

Stopping a moment, Cinaed slowed his breathing to a stop, with one final inhale. His chest puffed up with the cool night's air, and he was silent. His keen ears took in the sounds of the forest, the wind weaving through the trees, and ahead of him there was the rushing creeks of a river, going upstream would take him back to the Lake for sure. Maybe he should go back for a little bit, take in the scenery. Yeah, that would be nice.

But no, he had to keep moving. There was no knowing when his House would send more Bounty Hunters after him; he imagined they were ready to pay quite the price for his head, and so surely the hunters would only get more and more skilled. His teeth gritted as he thought back upon those who wished for him to be captured. Almost akin to an adrenaline rush, his magical aura flared for just a moment of anger, but was quickly contained.

And then Cinaed exhaled, letting all of the air out in one slow, steady breath. With the air left the anger, and once again his impeccable ability of constraint took over. His ears were filled with the sounds of the forest once again. The wind, the leaves, the water, and the wings. The wings? Cinaed looked upwards, and through the branches and leaves, saw a humanoid figure with great wings flying directly overhead.

Immediately, he reacted, leaping into a tree for extra coverage from the branches and leaves. He stared cautiously upwards, keeping track of the winged figure. What could it possibly be? He asked himself. It seemed he would soon find out.

Pyrrhus Nolan - December 12, 2007 07:50 AM (GMT)
Pyrrhus angled upwards aiming for more height. The dazzling Lake on his left hand looked lovely in the Sundown. The lush forest beneath him sang out with birdsong. Tilting his wings he dropped sharply before pulling out of the fall a few metres above the tree line. He pulled right circling in larger and larger circles as he gained height again. He was meant to be working but Pyrrhus couldn't resist the temptation of unfurling his wings and letting the wind run riot battering his robes about him. That was when he saw it a glint of something metal. It could have been armour or a sword or something else. But it wasn't natural. That was certain. Pyrrhus dropped as he felt the adrenaline rush.

The cloak was kept tightly wrapped around her body as the drow continued her movement about the base of the lake. At one point it had all been for the sake of work, but soon Ila had grown bored of the venture around the lake. Especially when nothing had been found, and everything else had been tended to already such as: The horses being fed, and their camp site established. It was only natural for her to start wasting time doing what she wanted at that moment.

Her boots were left at camp, as well as her gloves, the drow was making her trip down to the base of the lake to which the calming waters were gently lapping at her feet. The cooling waters were enough to relax her to a point of even forgetting why she was their, as she stood in the water that came up to her ankles. It wasn't until she heard a twig snap that her attention came crashing back down to that of reality. Her fingers immediately wrapped around the handle of the dagger, unsheathing it as she spun about thinking she were to encounter the person they we're hunting for. Only to find that nothing was actually their, and a few animals had just been scurrying across the floor.

A sigh had escaped from her lips as she sheathed the dagger back into it's scabbard and slowly made her way out of the lake, and headed back to the camp. " I should probably get back to look for our bounty, otherwise it would be awfully rude of me to just sit about and let Nolan do all the work. " As she got back to camp and commenced to putting on her boots. Her eyes began to scan the horizon once more again for any humanoid signs, other than her partner. Once her boots were properly on, the drow began to search once more. This time, she moved away from the lake and began to search around near the trees that closely laid around the forest and beyond.

Cinaed J'Delrndi - December 12, 2007 03:11 PM (GMT)
Cinaed watched readily, keeping his eyes on the figure flying above the trees. He knelt down on the branch he was on. That thing was looking for someone, probably himself. But who could have known where he was? Had they been talking to that Elf from before? Maybe his trail had been too obvious. No way, he had covered every hole. Damn it. This would be difficult, however, it should still be feasible. It usually was.

Cinaed's right hand withdrew into his cloak, and went straight to his own waste. Toying with the belt, he withdrew its buckle, and set it on the bark by his own feet. If this thing was looking for him, then it would have allies around. No matter, he would take care of this quickly, and then find his friend. Leaping backwards, he found even denser coverage below the leaves, and the moonlight glinted off of his belt buckle. If the dragon-man saw it, then it would definitely come down to check it out. And it did.

The winged man dove downwards at the sight of the metal glint, probably thinking it to be armour, or a sword. However, Cinaed wore no armour, and his sword was safely concealed in its sheath, under his cloak. The man dove in right between Cinaed and the tree the buckle was on, peering at the buckle. He would soon realise that he had been tricked, but not soon enough.

Cinaed leapt from the branch he was on silently, gritting his teeth as he flew forward. Opening his arms up wide, Cinaed literally aimed to tackle the dragon out of the air, his right arm wrapping around the neck of the dragon. Cinaed did not realise any way the Dragon could avoid it, for it took time to build enough velocity to move out of the way, for Cinaed was fast and agile. There was no doubt about that.

Pyrrhus Nolan - December 12, 2007 04:59 PM (GMT)
At the last second Pyrrhus saw he had been tricked. He heard the snap of a branch to his right and saw the dark figure flying towards him. He tryed to move but was too slow. He felt the narrow arm wrap around his neck. Damm! Pyrrhus muttered to himself. He angled his wings and started to fly back aiming to drag the drow off the tree with him. As he did so he drove his powerful arms towards his assailents stomach aiming to wind him. As he toppled backwards his wings gave out. They were lean and musclar but only designed to haul him and his equipment through the air not the extra weight of a Drow. Pyrrhus fell but grasped a thick branch only a few metres below. The assailent should have released him as they fell. But Pyrrhus couldnt be sure. "Ili! Ili! I have found him! Ili! Help!"

Elisiryn - December 12, 2007 05:19 PM (GMT)
As she was walking about in the wooded areas surrounding the lake. The drow's ears had perked up as the sound waves of her partner's voice began to crash against her ear drum. " Already? Their was no need for camp then if he was going to be found that fast... " As she said to herself, while moving about in between the trees.

Her hand left hand fingers quickly wrapped around the handle of the dagger, as she began to prepare herself for what ever was in store. " We could have had a better warning system than this though...[/i] " the Drow stated to herself in mock annoyance with a face to show as she tried her best to follow the voice and pin-point the location to the best of her ability.

" We could have had the element of surprise on our side, Unless he's already in combat with the person..." Ila began to move about through the trees, now letting the hood of her cloak and her cloak itself wave about in the generated wind. Unsheathing the dagger from it's scabbard. She was only a few feet from where she thought she heard the voice, once she got closer to the region; her sprint had trickled down to that of a mere walk as her eyes began to scan around her, as well as her ears perked for any sound of movement that might have been made.

She had a fear of yelling, but this time was different from previous ventures in the underdark. Their was a partner that needed help; and she wanted and needed to keep him alive. Swallowing her pride, the drow parted her lips and let out a scream as best she could, after the scream the drow began to have a smirk on her face. Ila was always accustomed to trying to strike fear in a target before doing battle. The scream hopefully would have caused some turmoil to the individual, but she was never sure of it's effectiveness. As she sheathed the dagger and unsheathed the short sword. As she began to walk slowly toward the area to where she thought the two might be, but in this area one couldn't be to sure.

Cinaed J'Delrndi - December 13, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
The dragon man seemed to be freaking out. How unproffesional, Cinaed thought to himself as he easily kept hold on the dragon man's neck, with his elbow hooked around its throat. An elbow shot back in an attempt to wind Cinaed, however Cinaed would not let himself succumb to such tactics, it was he who had the advantage here. Lowering his left arm, the elbow would stop the dragon man's arm at the tricep. This would probably make the dragon's arm bruise and cause it to contract due to the pressure and force, causing an instant pain the the tricep which would render it unusable for a few seconds, and sore for a few days.

And then it called out for help from an Ili. Cinaed grunted frustratedly as the wings seemed to buckle. "Zu'tour phor, maelthra!" He shouted in the language of the Drow, referring to the thing as a young dragon and telling it to be quiet. He held on tautly, his perfect physical conditioning being his true virtue here. And then a piercing wail came from not far before them. A woman was coming to help him. The dragon reached out an arm, grabbing a tree branch, and Cinaed remained tight around his shoulders like a cloak, causing the dragon man's fingers to lose some grip on the tree branch

The scream served to do nothing to Cinaed other than annoy him. "I don't have the time for this!" He said in a low, heavily accented voice. "You should not have come after me!" He said as he brought up his left arm, and aimed a brutal left elbow towards the base of the Dragon's neck. Aimed precisely, the blow would surely knock him out should it connect properly. Cinaed's right arm remained taut around the creature's neck, unrelenting to let go.
