Title: A parting of ways.
Description: Private for Raewyn.
GilEstel - December 10, 2007 11:55 PM (GMT)
As they rode up to the doors of the mine, a group of heavily armoured dwarves leapt out at them, thrusting halberds and pikes toward them. "Daro Norni!" (stop friendly dwarves!) cried Gil-Estel, hoping that they understood Sindarin. "Please, my friend needs help. Will you not allow us into your great city?" The dwarves seemed to converse amongst themselves. Eventually the largest dwarf (who's helm still only reached up to the height of Gil-Estel's chest) turned to them and said in rough Sindarin, "We let you in... we no want elf magic turn us into frog!". The dwarven party went to their door and opened it using the secret password. The elves enetered and the door closed behind them.
Another dwarf appeared (this one less heavily-armed) and led them down the corridor by the light of a torch, until all of a sudden, they reached a great hall, carved out of the rock and reaching many thousands of feet into the air. Dwarves walked around everywhere, talking, singing, laughing. Gil-Estel found it hard not to be happy in the company of these jolly people. Yet more dwarves ran up to greet them, some gestured to Raewyn and others to Rilgilad.
Understanding them, Gil-Estel dismounted, and lifted Raewyn down from off of the horse's back. Three dwarves led away the horse, and the others led Gil-Estel (who was still carrying Raewyn) away. They came to a small chamber off the side of the Great Hall. the chamber, which seemed to be full of the sick and injured was warm and cosy and a friendly looking (bearded) dwarf female stood there waiting for them.
Raewyn was laid in a bed, and Gil-Estel was instructed to wait outside in the Great Hall. He left the room and sat with his back against the wall next to the door, waiting for Raewyn to wake up...
Raewyn - December 11, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
Raewyn awoke and looked around. She found herself in a bed and her shoulder was bandaged. She looked around and saw other creatures in beds next to her's and walking around. She realised that they were dwarves. Raewyn closed her eyes again and thought. Forest....Gil-Estel...wriaths and a horse.
She sat up slowly and looked around for Gil-Estel. However she didn't sit up as a bearded elf woman came over and pushed her back down into the bed.
"The elf I was with. Where is he?" She watched as the drawf nodded and walked over to the entrance of the place she was in.

Gil-Estel had fallen into a deep sleep by the time the bearded dwarf woman waddled out of the room to meet him, he had tried to stay awake to see Raewyn, but the fatigue of the past few days had overwhelmed him and he had fallen fast asleep against the wall.
He slowly opened his tired eyes when the dwarf shook his shoulders, and he had to hold back his surprise at being shaken awake by a bearded woman. "Come", the woman said to him in heavily accented Sindarin, "you now see her."
The woman led him into the room where Raewyn lay awake in her bed. Gil-Estel rushed over and embraced her, apparently offending the dwarf woman, who forced them apart almost immediately. As soon as she had left, Gil-Estel drew Raewyn into another embrace and they began talking at once.

After three long days, in which Gil-Estel was only allowed to see Raewyn for an hour per day, Raewyn was finally well enough to walk. They had walked to a small room, some way down a corridor leading from the Great Hall and they sat there talking.
"I'm afraid it has come to the time when I must say farewell." said Gil-Estel. "But do not worry. I feel we shall meet again someday, somewhere. Good bye Raewyn Silimel." The name Silimel (star that shines with white light) he gave to Raewyn in recognition of her great beauty and power. Then, he slowly got up and walked over to the door ready to leave.

Raewyn watched as Gil-Estel walked into the room and rushed past the dwarf woman. He drew into an embrace which obviously caused some trouble for the dwarf woman who pushed them apart. When she left they embraced again and talked.
============================================
In the three days that came Gil-Estel had only been allowed to see her for an hour each time. The dwarf woman seemed very strict about that. On the fourth day Raewyn was finally allowed to walk which meant she could get away from the woman.
As Gil-Estel spoke she smiled sadly. "I knew this would come I have greatly enjoyed your company." As he got up and went to the door Raewyn stood and walked over to him. "I wouldn't be here right now if it hadn't been for your help. I thank you. You hold my gratitude, Gil-Estel."

"We shall meet again Raewyn Silimel, we shall meet again." said Gil-Estel as he walked out of the door. He went to Rilgilad, climbed on him, and slowly trotted away.
He left the Dwarven City behind him, ready to get back to Yomeniempa as soon as possible to complete his task for his King. And with that, he rode of into the sunrise, thinking only of the past few days, but most of all, he was thinking of Raewyn Silimel. His fair elf.
Raewyn - December 11, 2007 01:14 AM (GMT)
Raewyn smiled at the name and watched him as he walked away. She returned to the bed and the dwarf healer. Raewyn stayed for a few more days then left the dwarven city. As she walked away she wondered if she would ever meet Gil-Estel again. She hoped their paths would cross again. She turned back to the city and waved at a few of the dwarves that had followed her out. She streched out her shoulder and walked away her thought wandering to the journey that taken place a few days ago. As Gil-Estel's face flashed through her mind she smiled.
"Yes... Gil-Estel you have my gratitude and some of my good mermories."
