Arda > Termáre Dagor, the Battlestand > Elven Business

Title: Elven Business
Description: Open for anyone (but preferably humans)

GilEstel - December 7, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
Gil-Estel wound his way through the rows of spectators in Termáre Dagor, he found any empty space and sat down, wedged between a clearly drunken man, and a large woman, who was even now gorging herself on some sort of human food. As an elf, Gil-Estel never agreed with the idea of killing being considered a sport. But his father had asked him to come here on a errand, and so this was where he was going to stay.

He sat back on his stone seat and tried to relax a little, but considering the callibre of the person he had been sent to meet, that was easier said than done. All he could do now though, was wait. Wait and think of the beautiful elven city he would be able to return to once this vile business was over.

Lyncis never really liked the arena's, but her mother had been a part of the sports and so she wanted to honor the memory of the strong mercenary. Knowing that her mother had been killed here, all she really wanted to do was see the man who did it and find out if he was sorry for it.

Making her way through the crowds she saw a few of the humans she had called friends since her childhood. They offered her a small spot that not many humans would find comfortable. I guess they are all accustomed to my being small. She smiles and takes the spot quickly.

She had not sat down long when the cheering happened. Her ears began to ring quickly from the noise of the crowds around her. Lyncis covers her ears to soften the sound a little, but that didn't stop the smells that now invaded her nostrils. She glances behind her to be welcomed by a knee to the back as a large woman with some very disgusting food in her hands jumps up to yell at events below.

Biting her bottom lip to keep from yelping in pain, she winces and tenses up. Of Course I had to come.... I had to come to see him... She thought to herself some, not really paying attention to the movement below or her friends yelling and cheering.

Noise, one thing that an elven ears were very sensative to. Though they could hear far away the faintest sounds were still very loud being close by. As she stepped into the arena and looked around at everyone that stood there her eyes went to the ground. There were loud screams of pain and happiness throughout the arena and it made her cringe very easily. Making a couple of more steps into the busy sector she quickly grabbed a drunken man by the throat as he stumbled towards her only to reach for her breast. She quickly threw him back onto a table and continued walking until she came to a young elven girl sitting at a table.

The girl seemed to be hurt but it couldn't have been that much pain. The public wasn't some where she wanted to be seen but she had only came here to do what she did best, protect the innocent. Pushing the lady aside that had just kneed the young girl in the back she placed her hand on her shoulder and smiled as she used a minor heal to heal what pain she had. Though it might not have been much it was still a gift to her. Turning away she didn't feel like she had much more to tell her.

Again she searched the crowd she spotted the Elven Prince. What would he be doing in a place like this. If he spotted her she gave him a small bow. From his expression he seemed to be longing for something and she knew exactly what it was. For a Prince to be so far away from home she knew that the one thing he desired was to return home. Around her arms were what looked to be tattoos of veins. She had recieved these not to long ago for the one spell that she had given herself a name with.

[OOC: You know... the elven prince was next to the large woman and the drunk man. hehe!]

Lyncis glances behind her as the hand touches her shoulder. The pain was eased very simply, and she smiled and blushed some in return.

"Thank-you, but I don't know how to repay you. I really wasn't badly hurt," Lyncis says with a small voice that wouldn't be heard by her human friends. She bows her head to the woman in thanks, but doesn't know what else to say to her and so turns away to look back to the ring.

Her eyes catch the site of the male elf that was close by and she blushes some again. studying him for a few moments she realizes that he really did not fit in around here and even that he was not a regular elf. She had not been in the elven lands long when she had searched for her father, but something about him was familiar.

Quickly she turns away, not wanting to be caught looking at the hansom young elf.
