Title: The Fletchers Workshop
Description: Open to all!!!
Auria Sureshot - December 3, 2007 06:49 PM (GMT)
Auria Sureshot quickly walked into the her workshop. She had been given this workshop when her father had grown ill 16 years ago. It was 4am and Auria was tired and rather hungry. Business had been bad over the last week or so and her savings were running a little thin to say the least. She had always wanted to be an Archer fighting for her Lord but that dream was shattered when her father grew ill. He had once been well respected, well known but for some reason many people had no need of bows lately. She had been taught by her father and once she realised she would never fight she learnt well and was still one of the best. It came naturally to Centaurs the whole working with wood lark anyway.
Auria looked around at the dusty workshop there were many half made Bows alying in piles of wood shavings. Her lathe was a little battered and was in need of some maintainance but she needed to buy the part first. Ahhh well. She would have to make do. To her right was the samll forge used to make Arrow heads and other metal components. Next to that was a huge barrel of water for cooling. Her many moulds were lying on the floor in need of a good clean. She would add that to her list of things to do.
Auria Sureshot stepped out of her shop and headed down to the wood on the outskirts of Estolad. She needed the wood for the fire anyway.
Cinaed J'Delrndi - December 4, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
It was a beautiful day, the skies were clear, the sun was shining, and there was the coolest of breezes weaving through the trees, whistling elegantly to make an almost musical harmony with the rustling of the many leaves. A river ran south east, adding to the picture perfect atmosphere of the forest. However, not everyone can truly appreciate this type of beauty, and Cinaed was a farcry from happy about it.
The days had become easier to survive through since he left the underdark, and Cinaed even liked the raining ones where the sun was not visible, but still the heat of the oversized star felt brash on his skin, and burned his eyes. From his spot in the tree, he found it hard to even look at the ground as the sun dominantly cast its rays across the forest. He kept telling himself that it would get better, and for a while it had seemed to be, but when it came down to it, he was still a drow, and the sun was still an enemy. It was only natural.
Sighing deeply, Cinaed closed his eyes, letting the sounds of the forest soothe him. He leant his head back against the bark of the tree, covered in his cloak, shaded by the leaves. This was not so bad. Infact, it was peaceful. He liked it. Lost in time, he remained as such, unmoving, almost seeming not even to breathe, yet he did not sleep, never did he sleep.
The sound of hooves became faint to his ears. It was just a horse. The thought of needing a horse for his travelling touched his mind, but then was swpet away. He had been fine on his feet so far, and could probably run faster than most horses when he sprinted. Nah, he did not need a horse. As it came closer, he could hear it breathe, his ears were so acute. Wait a moment... Horses don't breath like that.
His eyes opened immediately, and he found his feet. Crouching on the branch, he slowly unsheathed the sword at his left hip. There he waited, looking towards the direction that the sound came from. The being came into sight, and Cinaed hid behind the tree. How strange, was that a human? The sight of the Centaur puzzled Cinaed.

"who's there" shouted Auria . She had her bow in her hands ready to fire the fire wood was on her back she could see a dark figure behind the tree but she could not tell what it was "Who's there" she shouted once agein but agein no one answered she could hear it breathing but still could not tell what it was "im Auria sureshot who are you and why are you behind a tree im not going to hurt you i'm only a flecher from the village collecting fire wood , if i put down my bow will you come out and speak to me" Auria stood still and waited for a replie.

The dark figure behind the tree wavered in the wind for one a moment. And then, the cloak fell from the tree, floating through the wind like a shadow cast by the air itself. Before it had a chance to land, Cinaed's masculine, heavily accented voice cut through the air behind her. "I'll take your word for it," he said, sheathing his sword as he stepped out from a tree a few meters behind her. "Besides, you're too close to make much use of that bow, now, aren't you?" He asked with a smirk.
Cinaed was a warrior of honour, and so, with the bow of his head, he made the ultimate act of trust among warrior's, and he sheathed his weapon. Looking back up to her, he opened his mouth to speak. "Forgive me. I did not mean to startle you. I'm simply wandering, and was taking a break.
"I've never seen a being such as yourself, before," he noted her Centaurhood. "To hear the sound of hooves; it did not quite match so well with the breathing of a human, much less a woman. Surely you can recognize my surprise." Cinaed bowed once more, this time a full bow though. Elegantly, his waist bent as his torso lowered, his arm moving majestically aside.
Standing tall once again, Cinaed walked past the Centaur. "I'm sorry, but I've much further to travel." In truth, Cinaed did not quite know where he was going, but since leaving the Underdark, he had not stopped moving; now did not quite seem like the right time to start. "I'm Cinaed J'Delrndi, the Battleborn. I would love to chat, but there's someone I've got to meet. Farewell, Auria Sureshot."
Cinaed continued past her, and walked to pick up his cloak. Once he situated back around his shoulders, a slender, gloved hand reached over his shoulder, and he pulled the hood up over his head. His face immediately felt relieved as it found shelter from the Sun.
