Description: open (im very new)
lonewolf - November 29, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
It was late at night; the sun had long gone down, and the square was filled with the hustle and bustle of night life. In the middle of the square was a giant fountain and around it sat all sorts of people enjoying the night out. Entertainers of all kinds scattered the surroundings with large rings of people surrounding them. Around the square was an array of shops, inns, pubs and eateries filled with all characters of all shapes and sizes.
Above the crowds and standing above one of the many pubs was Nagash. His hair slightly moved in the cool breeze while his eyes scanned the area beneath him. The smell of vomit and alcohol filled his nostrils along with the smell that came from all humans. Being a vampire Nagash had learnt all the smells of the different creatures that he had encountered in his years of experience. He decided the best thing he could do was to join the crowd so with one swift movement he took a step off the edge and landed with a loud thud in an ally next to the pub. He then stood straight up and towered the bewildered drunk next to him who took one look into Nagash’s never ending eyes and ran as far as his legs could carry him. Nagash took one look at the frightened man barked a short laugh and continued into the crowded square aiming for the fountain.
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 2, 2007 11:29 AM (GMT)
The dark hooded figure of Pyrrhus stepped out from under the arch. he didn't like cities they made him stand out far too much. he was rare. A half-dragon. His skin was a shade of grey, this was most obvious on his bold head. He had armoured scales along his body in places he would be most likely to wear armour. Across his chest and back diminishing near his arms. Across his shoulders and on his forearms stretching up to his fingers. Along his lower legs ending about halfway down his foot. And the most crucial over his head like a helmet. Down his nose, round to his neck with breaks in it for his ears and horns. THey were useful. Protruding about 6 inches from his skull located about 2 inches in from his temples. His Black cloak that fell from his broad shoulders to his hidden ankles blended well with his skin adding an aura of mystery. The most defining feature Pyrrhus Nolan had though were the thick leathery wings protruding from his shoulder blades. With a wingspan of about 12ft they were hard to miss.
Pyrrhus continued to walk down the street his eyes darting left and right keeping alert for danger. He used his staff as a walking stick even though he had no need of one. To his left was the fountain. Pyrrhus decided to head for this and so he did striding with much confidence that was when he saw the Vampire. It was obvious those glistening teeth, the starge aura of danger he radiated. Pyrrhus stopped and stared.

A figure draped about in her cloak stood about in the fountain, her hood had been down for some time, given that it was past sunset her elven ears were clearly visible, giving off an indication of her heritage and possible race for those who could distinguish the color of her skin in the in the lowered lighting. The cloaked drow began to make her way through the square, blending in with the rest of her environment due to her height and stature, no one cared or even seemed to notice she was their as everyone else seemed to be taller than her anyway.
Once out of the square she started to turn her head, looking about left and right trying to gain her bearings seeing which shops were opened or closed, figuring out. Trying to figure out which ones she would go to first and which ones she would go to last, but the first idea that even had crossed her elven mind was to hit the pub and get a small drink of wine if they even had any left at this time. With a quick smirk becoming visible upon her lips, she began to make her way to an alleyway that seemed to have a few people coming and going from inside.
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 2, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
The sun was beating down on Pyrrhus. It was exceptionally warm for a sunset. The figure ahead of him hadn't noticed him so he decided to go for a drink. It was a rare commodity for Pyrrhus to drink. He had very selective tastes but this was Arda's biggest city wasn't it? He was bound to find something he liked. As he headed for the pub he noticed a tall cloaked figure with pointed ears head. Hmmmm.. A drow in these parts. Pyrrhus was curious. He started towrds the figure. Maybe the Drow would be freindly he needed a companion in these parts.
Elisiryn - December 2, 2007 04:55 PM (GMT)
All dark alleys were the same. As she walked down this once they all seemed to be compiled of the same people who are either drunk; or beggars asking for alms to help them about in life. Passing by each one with her arms folded about underneath her cloak, she had made her way to the pub. Opening the door and peering inside before taking the first couple of steps inside; The pub seemed to be moderate, but not the type of place she wanted to be in. Not at this time.
Closing the door to the pub, she turned about and began to walk down the same alleyway that she had taken to get to the pub. A figured had loomed into her view as her rose-hued eyes instantly turned toward the figure. Though she had no reason to attack or retaliate against anyone at this point, but this was the big city now. Anything could happen. The tall figure walking down the alley, she couldn't decide if he was friendly or not, but as she approached him she had given him a smile at least her attempt at a smile and spoke softly toward him.
"Hello to you."
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 2, 2007 08:17 PM (GMT)
"Hello, Drow. What would you be doing in these parts may i ask?" Pyrrhus enquired. his voice was rough and deep. He looked the figure up and down. The Drow was female. Her rose eyes were kind of mesmerising. Her red hair snaked out from the sides of her closk. Pyrrhus was interested. It was strange that she was in Lomedor to start with but she seemed almost friendly. that was strange. "My name is Pyrrhus Nolan." Pyrrhus said. "And what should i call you?"
Elisiryn - December 2, 2007 08:32 PM (GMT)
Blinking her eyes as the sound waves entered her ears and his name was heard, a soft smile rose and shone upon her lips as she looked up to him. " We'll it is nice to meet you Pyrrhus, and as for why I am in this city, we'll I am venturing around; One that can't stay in a place for to long. It causes me great discomfort to stay in one place for to long. "
Folding her arms under her chest underneath the cloak, her eyes had looked to the side for a moment as a person was passing by. After they had gone by her eyes slowly moved back up toward the figure as she spoke softy this time. " My name is Illiamynrae Elisiryn " The soft smile had returned upon her face as she stood looking up to the figure.
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 2, 2007 09:12 PM (GMT)
" A name most fitting for as you."Pyrrhus replied. He liked this Drow she was witty and on the ball. They could get on he thought after all what was he a wanderer like her. He hunted those with money on their heads but that was his living. May be he would change. "Would you like a drink Illiamynrae. It would be a pleasure to get to know you better." Pyrrhus asked. He struggled to pronounce the strange Drowish name.
Elisiryn - December 2, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
Smiling as she looked back up to Pyrrhus. " Please call me Ila if you like, most people prefer to call me that rather than pronouncing the whole thing." A soft chuckle which could be perceived as a giggle had escaped forth from her lips. Though when she heard his offer, the chuckle had ceased and the smile was all that was left remaining upon her lips.
" I would enjoy a nice drink, it would probably do me some good, I don't know about you, but I've been dying to at least find some place worth the time to sit in and enjoy a peaceful drink or two. So I shall take you up on that offer. " Her smile had then flashed instantly to a grin, as she put her arms through the wholes in her shirt where the sleeves were once.
" Do you know of any good Taverns to go to? "
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 3, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
"As a matter of fact i do Ila. And its just around the corner!" He smiled and started walking off down the maze of alleys. "You said you wanted to know more about Ila. Fire away im willing to answer your questions. Well some of them at least." Pyrrhus frowned at his last remark. He had only just met her and wasn't willing to reveal all the secrets he had. Not yet anyway.
As he rounded the corner he saw a man step out from a dark Mahogany door set into the wall below street level. He walked towardss the door which led to his favourite pub in the area. A place that served drinks that even Pyrrhus with his 'aquired' tastes could enjoy. As he entered he immediately smelt the usual smells. Greasy cooking out back. Stale smoke from pipes but over all this there was another fragrance one to mask the others even if it wasnt great at its intended job it was at lest homely. Pyrrhus sat down and lowered his hood, revealing his dark scaled bald scalp, his horns and a deep scar running down the back of his head. He signalled for a server and ordered a measure of the Pubs own famous Fire Whisky. "And what could i get you Ila?" He asked the Drow curiously.
Elisiryn - December 3, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
Nodding her head as she began to formulate at least a couple of questions to ask Pyrrhus without trying to seem as one who would pry deeply into someone's business. But in these days one has to be extremely careful of who they meet and how much information they reveal about themselves. It all was more or less due to the fact that she was new in this grand city and didn't want to fall into a life she would regret. Shrugging her shoulders; she followed behind Pyrrhus wondering about where this spot was not knowing it would be this close!
Her eyes had scanned the door when they had arrived at the door looking it over, her eyes fixated on the texture of the door. The place seemed rather..."Cozy" as one would put it in very few words, it seemed like the type of place one could relax (if you knew what you were doing that is.) A soft grin had begun to grow upon the drow's lips as she looked around, her head moving from left to right with her eyes locking on the individuals that we're in there. Her head immediately whirled back around looking up to Pyrrhus, he had asked a question she almost didn't hear, A type of a drink she wanted?
" I will go with some Red wine perhaps, see how that tastes and go from their perhaps. "
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 4, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
"You heard the lady." Pyrrhus said to the server as he went wondering off. He was looking forward to his drink. He as desperate to start a decent conversation with Ila. "So Ila, what do you do for a living?" He asked. "What is your homeland like?"
Elisiryn - December 4, 2007 09:42 PM (GMT)
A brief smile as she turned toward Pyrrhus to regard his question had instantly turned into nothing more than an expressionless face. Her mind went wandering as she was reminded of her home land and the way her life was before her escape from that land of rot and ruin. As the emotions began to swell up into her mind, all she could do to stave them off was bite her lower lip as she pressed a smile back upon her lips. Looking up to Pyrrhus.
" Well at the moment I am currently just exploring, adventuring around this town and others if you will. I really don't really do much or have much talent in one thing here or there so I wander and try to put all the talents I do have to use in some way. " Taking a pause in her speech as she regarded the last question, making a soft sigh as she began to look off to the side, but then turned back toward Pyrrhus. " My homeland is of no importance at this time, as it is in an internal war with itself. " Shrugging her shoulders lightly, as she softly folded her arms underneath her chest and awaited for their drinks.
" But, what about you Py-rr-hu-s--s..? " having a hard time pronouncing his name. " What do you do you for a living? "
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 8, 2007 08:45 AM (GMT)
"I hunt." He replied with a firm factualness to it. "And i amk sorry there is no shortening to my name but if you toungue becomes too twisted by it you could just call me Nolan." Pyrrhus sat back and watched her. She was protective of her past. A good trait. But just being a wonderer, what a boring existence Pyrrhus thought. He needed his adventure his hunts, his chases, his kills. That was the way he was and would always be.
Elisiryn - December 8, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
" Hunting huh...and I feel that calling you Nolan just might be in my best interest. " A small grin had become visible upon her lips, as she began to take her cloak off revealing her sleeveless silk shirt underneath. Resting her cloak on the back of a chair as she folded her arms across her stomach, her grin had toned itself down into a mere smile as she looked up to Nolan.
" If I may ask what got you into the Hunting business? I'm new to this land and wondering just if their is a lot of money to be made into hunting someone down... " Of course her skills had always relied in the hunt and extermination of others, if their had been money to be made through this way, she would no doubt get herself back into the business if she had to.
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 9, 2007 10:28 AM (GMT)
"Who ever said i hunted people? The fact i do is just a coincidence. There is definately money to be made when you know where to look for it. And there is the adreniline especially when they think they can run. They think they can hide then you kill them. That is the way to hunt. Play with them lead them on a merry dance with you in charge! Why are you curious about hunting anyway? If you were looking to get into the business i would enjoy a helping hand. Slit the profits 50/50. I am a fair man like that. What do you think of my proposla Ili?" Pyrrhus watched. he was interested to see how the Drow would react. He had been told they were heartless and enjoyed the pain of others more than he did. Hmmmmm. She would make a goo ally if only she would accept.
Elisiryn - December 9, 2007 04:05 PM (GMT)
As she heard Nolan's statement about the hunt, and the targeting of the prey. She could not help, but sit their remembering her own past and experiences of the hunt back in her her home. In the underdark. " This sounds like it could be a good investment, but the same problems might arise as they once did " She mused over in her mind, as her head was tilted down her eyes cast at the table thinking on the proposal that had been presented to her just moments ago.
" It all sounds very interesting... " As she looked up and looked up once again to look up at Nolan once again. " Profit split 50/50...and at a task as easy as this seems... " Though her new persona might not like the idea of returning to this idea, her old persona was well ahead of her and plotting how she would have to kill each victim. With a sharp grin appearing upon her lips, as she looked up to Nolan again. " Why not it could be something interesting to try out once again. "
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 10, 2007 07:46 AM (GMT)
Pyrrhus' face almost lit up with glee. He was excited about having a new 'partner' to help with the jobs. At least they would be more interesting. "I am glad you agree. We must first go to a spot here in Lomedor where i see a man about a contract. Hang on. You said once again. Do you have experience in Bounty Hunting Ili?
Elisiryn - December 10, 2007 04:47 PM (GMT)
A small was on her face, but had instantly turned back to one that was expressionless and void of any expressions at all. A soft sigh had escaped from her lips as she brought her hand up to her forehead softly massaging her temples. " Yes, I did have some experience in Bounty Hunting, but that is all in the past now, and rather not think about it to much. " Bringing her hand back down, she had rested her arm by her side and looked up to Nolan.
" So you said their was someone we should see for this contract? where about in this city is he? "
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 10, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)
They are in this very square. Unfortunately they do posses the most unfortunate place to attend so if you would rather not be subject to the vulgar actions of the foul species that are banned from every other pub i will collect the job and return. But if on the other hand you want to meet my... i mean our employer feel free to come along. I will leave as soon as i have finished my drink. Pyrrhus was honest. He disliked the tavern from which he had to collect jobs but at least it was a constent source of money. He took a sip of the potent Whisky. He considered sitting here for hours sipping on the Whisky like usual. No he thought. Why should he. Standing up he downed the glass. "Are you coming? He said to the Drow as he began to walk towards the door.
Elisiryn - December 11, 2007 03:36 AM (GMT)
A smirk had become visible upon the drow's lips as she had finally taken her first sip from the drink, and began to finish the glass clean as she drained the liquid from it, then set the glass back upon the table and turned to Nolan as he was already moving towards the exit. " I would rather go to, it can always be interesting to see the people your working for. Always want to get a feel of just how they conduct their business as I used to say, and at least they are close by and in this square...As it is the only place I really know that well... "
As she got up from her seat, her eyes had begun to scan the tavern that they were in. Making note of the faces and the people that we're in their at this time. " Could be any one of them we might have to hunt.. " With a brief and quick turn, her vision was back on to Nolan as she made a few quick strides moving from the table to the door.
Pyrrhus Nolan - December 11, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
Pyrrhus stepped out of the pub and into the street taking a sharp left. The cobble felt strange on his bare feet. he walked for about 5 metres before turning into a dark side alley. At the end of the alley was a rotten wooden door hanging off its hinged. With much disgust Pyrrhus stepped into the dank room beyond. There were drunks laid sprawling on the floor with the few still upright drinking like the world was going to end. A man in tattered clothes staggered towards Pyrrhus who sidestepped and watched as he tottered out of the door and onto the streets were he swiftly collapsed. In the corner was a hunched Dwarf who still seemed semi sober. Pyrrhus walked over to him. The Dwarf looked up at him and glared. "What the hell do you want Nolan? And who is your girlfreind?" The Dwraf asked in a gruff and slightly drunk voice. "I need the next job. And this is Ili. She is helping me on the next job." Pyrrhus said. The Dwarf looked disgruntled but obedientle fished out a piece of parchment and handed it to Pyrrhus. He read it.

"We go to Lake Aelin. I hope you do not mind slaying your own king Ili. Ahh well! Letd go."Pyrrhus headed for the door. "I know a stable near hear he will do us a good deal to get us to the Lake."
