Title: Wandering the Woods
Description: All welcome!!!
Tempest Stoutheart - November 27, 2007 07:10 PM (GMT)
Tempest Stoutheart, blind Weapons Master, barbarian and Druid. Strolled eagerly through the forest. He loved the wood and found peace in the nature around him. Even without sight to aid him Tempest was confident to move around without a guide. Yes in these dangerous forests he used an old branch sometimes but that was to be expected. Tempest had always studied the way of the barbarian from his father a viscious dwarf capable of killing beasts many times bigger than himself. It was he who Tempest had aspired to be like, until finally his father met his match against a dragon. Since then Tempest had still trained the way of the sword and was extrmely accomplished but he had taken a liking to the way o a Druid. His blindness helped as it made him more in tune and reliant on nature to guide him in battles across the world. Tempest loved life just as much as he loved the fresh running water he could her only a few metres ahead of him. Tempest strode forward found a nice sturdy rock and sat down. He just sat and listened to the amzing sound of the water trickling in front of him. He unfastened his Scimitar in its sheath and lay it in front of him. It was laid where he could reach it fast if the need arose. Tempest doubted it would.
Charoget - December 2, 2007 08:44 PM (GMT)
Charoget flew through the woods the beauty of the nature engulfing her. When she came across a sunbeam she looked where in led to on the ground a beautiful little clearing by the water, a flat rock jutting out over the water just like a bridge. Charoget flew down to the water and stepped onto the rock. She lay out a cloth and began to have a snack of bread. When she looked over she stopped. She saw a dwarf and knew that some were not the friendliest of people, but Charoget could tell this was not so, he seemed to have a calm aura around him she stared at him because it seemed he didn't notice he was there, but she couldn't tell. She sat there and placed her things in her bag and placed her hand in the cool water and let the water run through her fingers, yet again unaware of the world around her engulfed in tranquility...

"It is strange that one should see another and not greet them. Would this be due to your mistrust in my race or your pure ignorance. But i can sense that is not so with a Celestial. We don't get many of your kind fly through the grand woods these days. You may ask how i know but it is the blind that see the most." During this little welcoming speech Tempest's eyes remained steadfastly shut. He did't even seem to have left his tranquil state and had purely made his little speech as an observation.
Charoget - December 7, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
Hearing this Charoget calmly replied," I have had many troubles leading to mistrust, I am sorry you feel that way. My name is Charoget, and I love the beauty here, So tranquil, Beautiful works of nature." Charoget hoping this would calm his nerve of name calling, Simply flying closer being careful of her feet not to touch the ground, for she didn't want to hurt anything and wanted to leave it in its place. Charoget looked upon him seeing deep inside knowing that he sould mean no harm, but came for beauty, but she kept her distance seeing the sword at his feet, hoping it would not be needed for use.
Tempest Stoutheart - December 8, 2007 08:59 AM (GMT)
"It is nice to see someone else appreciate the beauty of these woods. Taking care not to disturb the many plants beneath you. I unfortunately cannot fly as you can so i leave my path of destruction a shame as it may be." He stooped and looked up. "Why do u stare so intently at my blade. I will have no use of it today unless you have foul intenet that i have not sensed. That would be a shame. I do not like to slay the rarer races especially in a place as tranquil as this. That would be a great shame indeed." Tempest stood up without warning. "I am sorry." He stated. "How rude of me not to give you my name. Afterall I now know yours." Tempest took a deep bow. "I am Tempest Stoutheart,Weapons Master and Druid. And it is and Honour to meet you Charoget, the Celestial." He stepped back and waited for her response.

Vex had fallen asleep some time ago- not horribly long ago- but long enough for a few mortals to manage to come, unsuspecting, quite close to where she was resting. She grimaced her arm still ached where that blasted chaos beast had nipped her. Flexing it she felt something pop and the pain nearly made her cry out- she was too skilled to actually cry out, of course, but it was a near thing. A very near thing. Wounds dealt by things of chaos were notoriously difficult to predict- sometimes a scratch was life threatening and sometimes it actually had beneficial effects. There was just no way to know until the actual effects set in. Thankfully it hadn't been too bad. The blasted warlord was dead too now and that was all that mattered, really. Her contract was finished and she was supposed to soon collect her pay.
Thought of payment made Vex unwary (well, overexcited might have been a better word) and she stood, leaves and dead tree matter that had served as camouflage fell off of her in a cascade of noise and color. She briefly considered going back in time, but realizing that it was quite beyond her power to do that right now, cheerfully waved to the two mortals, trying to consider whether it was worth her while to kill either of them. For some reason, she instinctively distrusted the human-person-thingy and the dwarf didn't rank much lower on her personal scale of unlikable things. She gave the dwarf a rating of 0.3 and the female a rank of 0.2.
She stretched, wondering if her disguise was still on. No matter, they were in the thick of the woods now- one or two dead bodies wouldn't raise any eyebrows- just the appetites of scavengers.
"Hiya," Vex said cheerfully, noting that her disguise was still somewhat intact. She briefly wondered why the dwarf seemed to be acting so weird and then shrugged. Dwarves were weird as a breed anyways- no use trying to figure them out. "Did I just hear someone say celestial?"

Tempest heard the voice. It was a strange almost eerie cackle of a voice. Not one to be trusted but Tempest supposed that was the nature of his race. Don't trust it unless it gives you gold and even then be wary but Tempest was different. This being had strange motives. Tempest dropped to his knees, grasped his Scimitar and rose swiftly pulling it out of its sheath. He weilded it firmly in his right hand and stared in the direction the voice came from. "Who are you creature? And hat are your purposes in these tranquil lands?" Tempest took a short step to his left and slowly let himself drop into his ideal calm state for fighting. He let his breathing rate fall and his pulse drop slightly. He then just wited. For a response that would allow him to sense more clearly the motives of this newcomer.

Charoget - December 9, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
Charoget saw the dwarf pull out his swors and said "that is why I stared at the sword," pausing, " you being quick tempered, but thank you for the greeting. ' Charoget looked now at what had startled Tempest. Drawing out her Katana in one hand, and reaching down to her ankle, ade sure she had had dagger at hands reach. Charoget daubed holy fire oil on her sword, sensing that this creature was pure evil. Even in doing this she believed in first chances and said "Hello, my name is Charoget, And yes you did hear someone say celestial, I am an angel, the celestial we were talking about. What is your business here?" and she left off at that pondering at what would happen next...
