Drenkar wandered around thinking to himself, he was going crazy."Could I really rid myself of this evil? All the people I have killed, all the villages i burned..." A silence grew in him.

He knew the truh, he would never be able to rid himself of all the memories, there was no way he could escape the darkness with in him. As he thought and thought about it he kept wandering further and further into the land. Until he was tired of walking. He sat on the ground and said to himself,"there is no way i can be redeemed."

Ayumi had been lying there for some time, on the outskirts of the salquador plains. This was where she had fallen a good two hours ago, fallen victim to two men she had deprived of winnings in a pub in the nearby village. It wasnt exactly her fault anyway, the men had been pushing the obviously extreamly poor third into giving his life savings away. Not that she hadnt punished the third too, he had been gambling in the first place so she demanded a pay off him for dealing with the guys, but that was the way the world went round. The two guys had snuck up on her when she was in the busy market square and knocked her out here, 'a fate worse than death' they had said as the ran off sniggering.

Drenkar used infravision and looked around to see if enemies were coming towards him. As he looked around he noticed a body on the ground. He sat up and started walking towards the body to see if the person was injured, as he came closer he noticed the person was female, and an elf. As the night grew darker and colder Drenkar made a fire by her to keep her warm.

Ayumi gradually opened her eyes, expecting to see light but only seeing darkness. Was it really that long ago since she had been knocked out. Her head hurt at the back and she couldnt seem to take in where she was. She sat up quickly, nervous of where they may have dragged her off to, instantly she wished she hadnt. Her vision swam and her head spun causing her to fall off balance and back onto the ground.

"You really shouldn't sit up so fast after being knocked out." Drenkar said to her with a smirk across his face, Drenkar walked over to her."My name is Drenkar." He said as he stuck his hand out to help her up,"I promise i don't bite." He jokingly said as he smiled just enough to show his teeth.

"yeah thanks," Ayumi said propping herself up, "I should have remembered but i havent been knocked out in a while." she took his hand, frowing at the new remark.

Then he smiled and it all became apparent. "Wow, a vampire!" Then realising she had spoken out of place, "S-sorry, its just even though i travel so far, i've never actually met a vampire before..."

"It's ok, most vampires dont like people knowing what they are, for the fact that they will most likley scare the person off. I on the other hand could care less who knows that im a vampire, anyways... What are you doing here, expecially while knocked out?" Drenkar said wondering if he could trust her or not.

"Urgh, two idiots from the nearby village, just because i stop them from robbing somebody of their life savings means im the bad guy huh?" She rolled her eyes, flicking some of her sandy hair from her face, "And i'm not all i seem appearance wise either." She smiled child-like.

"I really now?" Drenkar said intriuged to see what would happen next." Just as long as you dont shapeshift or something into some kind of animal, or object like a rock or a tree and then tell me that is your true form, and yes it has happened to me before." He sarcasticly said as he laughed

"Oh well now you have spoiled all of my fun," She grinned speaking in a sarcastic tone and rolling her eyes. She squeesed her eyes closed for a moment and then two great white bing burst out from behind her, their feathers pure white and dazzling illuminating almost everything around them by shining with the light of a thousand stars.

Drenkar Stumbled back as he saw her wings emerge from behind her,"Y-your not just an elf?!" He studdered." Your also an angel?". As he started coming to his senses he crept closer and closer to look at the wings."What makes them so bright?" He asked as he stared at her wings in complete awe.

Ayumi blushed at his awe over such a common feature to her, "I pray to the stars on a daily basis and i devote my life to nigh solitude and appreaciation of the wild. You could say it is a blessing of the dieties." She tucked them away again, they seemed to form into the skin leaving no mark that she ever had them.

"I'm sorry, it's just i have never seen an angel, well i mean i have seen dark angels and stuff but never an angel expecially one that is also an elf."Drenkar said and then asked."I have a question though, when you put your wings away where do they go?"

Ayumi raised her eyebrows in suprise, "I've never really considered that. As i havent known anyone elses wings not to do that and so it rarely corsses my mind. I suppose it will have something to do with the cross-breeding of an elf and an archangel though." She shrugged. For some odd reason she could feel something crawling about nearby, out of the light and warmth of the fire, yet she ignored it.

Drenkar turned his head as he heard something or someone coming in the distance, he turned his head back to the half-arch angel half-elf and said," I'm afraid I may have to leave soon and incase I do leave so, do you think I could get your name?"

"It's Ayumi, Ayumi Aomori." She smiled breifly before standing, "I will have to be off too, Dori'ba is hardly the place to be staying at night. And so i bid you farewell, may we meet again some time."
