Ugh, that noise is so annoying...I wish I could have lost my hearing when I became a vampire; I would have been spared this atrocity.
With a shake of her head and a heavy sigh from her thin lips, Lorelei grudgingly unlocked the door in front of her with a key she had just bought from the innkeeper, pushing the door open afterwards and stepping inside. She glanced about, surprised that the room was actually quite decent, and, with a smile, she closed the door quietly behind herself, keeping the key safe in her hand.
Well, the hand that was not currently a different colour than the rest of her complexion. Actually, the wound -- looked more like a burn than anything -- ran from the middle of her hand almost up to her elbow, and that just pissed her off, to say the least. She hated the sunlight; it could kill -- literally.
Quickly, Lorelei pulled her cloak over herself tighter and moved to the cot, grabbing a sheet and quickly carrying it over to the open window, holding it up in front of her so she would not be hurt by the sun's bright rays. She fixed the cloth so that it hung safely in front of the window, a relieved sigh escaping from her as she pulled her longsword from its sheath, beginning to cut the sheet so that it did not look nearly as awkward.
Once she finished, she carried the material back over to the cot, where she took a seat, the hood of her cloak falling to reveal her brown hair and brown eyes, as well as her face and neck. However, the fact that strands of her hair were currently hanging in front of her face was not so much important to her, especially now with this idiotic wound of hers. It hurt worse than you could imagine, to be honest.
Scowling underneath her breath, Lorelei cut off the sheet once again, this time taking the torn fabric and using it to wrap around her injured hand and arm, not caring if the cloth was dirty or not; it was not like she was going to die if it was. With a bit of difficulty and time, the female vampire soon managed to get the material on securely, and she flexed her arm and fingers carefully, just to make sure the temporary bandages would stay on. Of course, she was only using the material to hide her wounds; they would heal just fine with time. She was just not eager for everyone to see it.
Once she was satisfied, Lorelei stood and deftly undid the string that held her cloak up around her neck, allowing it to fall off her shoulders and onto the floor. Her neck, shoulders, and arms were all exposed, a simple necklace hanging from around her neck and dangling in front of her chest, where a corset-type top kept her chest from view. The rest of her black dress fell down to her ankles. Another piece of jewelry she possessed was the headpiece that was visible above her eyes and below her hairline, a small jewel in the middle. It was what all females of her family wore, and even though she was now a vampire, she still wore it.
Lorelei kicked the cloak underneath the cot, but this time, she kept her longsword with her. Something told her she would need it this night, and she was not sure if she should follow that feeling or not. However, in the end, she did, and so she kept it resting against her waist as she looked about the room once more, blinking gently.
Not again! I was hoping they would have stopped by now Lorelei thought wearily as she stepped out of her room and headed towards the stairs, slowly descending them and walking into the pub, the sounds of loud drunks ringing in her ears, mingling with the annoying sound of horrible bards begging for money.
Lorelei glanced at the moment, and for a moment she was tempted to buy a drink. However, she could not drink that stuff anymore, being a vampire; the drink would hurt her, no doubt. She could only drink human blood, the one and only thing she desired most over everything else. So, instead of getting the one thing she had loved to drink back when she had been normal -- before she had become a vampire --, Lorelei walked over to a table, not caring that it was currently occupied.
A sly smirk appeared on her face, her eyes narrowed seductively as she studied the male in front of her, one of her eyebrows raised slightly in curiousity as she watched him. Would he be her first victim tonight, in this new place she was staying at?
