Rufus walked along the docks, a tall fishing pole in hand. Soon after finding the little thief that had taken his gold pouch and beating the little bugger within an inch of his life he made the small purchase of a fishing rod. Looking around for a spot away from boats he was determined to catch some lunch for himself. His feet sliding every once in a while on the wet wood he picked a spot at the edge of the docks... taking a seat and leaning his blade onto the ground next to him. Finally using a small colorful piece of an apple he baits the line, and casts. Soon he is sitting on the docks with relative relaxation... holding the pole with his leg and lying back on the wood of the docks.

Silnimare walked up to the dock in half-dragon form to see a man fishing on the end. What a curious way to kill time....he thought. "Hello there, stranger. How are you this fine day?"

"Hm?" Rufus squints against the sun's light looking up to the half-dragon. Rufus was only astonished for a few moments before answering "Oh, uh... I'm fine... if you'll excuse me I've never seen a dragon before..." He says with a mix of politeness and nervous manner.

Blaez was walking nearby, and heard a friend of his' voice. "Ey Silnimare, where are ya?" He yelled out, looking around nearby. He lightly heard an aquaintance's voice, Rufus. He followed the sound of their voices and found the duo on the dock. "Hello there." He said politely, his hand over his left eye to block out the sunlight.

"Hey there Blaez, just fishin'" to simply denote that fact the rod began to bob up and down. Quickly Rufus turns around with a face full of joy and starts pulling on the reel. Moving his hands in a bolting move down to the lower handle he grips it tightly as he pulls... slowly reeling in the fish.

He grinned. "How big do ya think it is?" He laughed a bit, watching Rufus struggle a bit, but not much. He ran down the dock and started swimming, but he wasn't very good at it. He let himself fall to the bottom, after casting underwater breath, and took his spear. He looked around and chucked his spear at the largest fish he could see, then returning to the surface with it. "Ah." He said, breathing in air once more. "I'm gonna eat well tonight..." He said before noticing the the fish had a hook in its mouth. "Oh, it's yours." He smiled at Rufus.

Rufus reached out and grabbed hold of the fish rapping it on the head to make sure it was dead "if you want we can both eat well... its a big enough fish I think" He says smiling, setting the dead fish onto some paper for sanitation and packaging. "I'll have to gut the little guy first though..."

"You keep it." He smiled. "I can get myself another, and by the looks of things, you need it." He grinned looking at how skinny Rufus was. He'd noticed it in the bar, but it's harder to tell when someone's sitting down.

"eh heh..." Rufus laughed nervously as his stomach growled. "What can I say, my travel has'nt been that hospitable in the food department" Taking out the knife he began to gut and clean the fish, focused on getting things done and eating it. "Funny how I get squeamish when other people are bleeding but not when I am emptying out a fish's insides" Placing the cleaned out parts into one peice of paper and the fish in another he puts both in his pack after wrapping and tying them "never know what people want or have a need for..."

He smiled and stared vigorously at the water, looking for a fish. He used his telekinesis to lift a fish from the water and spun it around to just above the dock, slamming it a few times, then letting it drop. He ran to it and picked it up by the tail. "Heh. See, I told ya." Smiling.

She walked over to the two clutching her head. "Owww. I shouldn't have drank so much." She looked over to Blaez and Rufus. hey its those two "Hey you guys. Hows it going. Owww. Why couldn't the waitress stop serving me." She saw all of the fish guts and turned away. "Ewww. How can you do that to the fish?"

"just a tiny bit viscious dont you think?" Rufus replies looking at the beat up fish. Standing up with his own pack he begins to pull up the line, since it had fallen back into the water. As he begins to grab the line he notices it is beginning to be carried off. Quickly grabbing the rod itself Rufus now notices its a rather large fish... specifically noted was the fact it rivaled him in size ( 4.6' ) before he can mutter a curse the rod is pulled off the dock with Rufus in tow.

He ran swiftly after he fell in the water and cast Underwater breath yet again, and fell to the floor. He walked towards the falling Rufus and transformed right underneath him, lifting his up to above the shallow waters, and he caught the fish safely in his mouth.

Somewhat bewildered Rufus looks around at what caught him. Coming to the realization of whats happening he panics for a few seconds before figuring out it was Blaez... with the fish in his mouth. Still in a bit of shock he waves to Chrono with a belated "Hi"

He walked onto shore before changing back to his human form, his hair wet, he started to ring it out. "Salt water.... blech..." He smiled. "Oh, Hey Chrono." He said, winking in the direction of where Silnimare stood.

"Heh, did'nt know you could pull that off," Rufus says sitting back on the shore, stretching his back. Suddenly he starts looking around on the shore "Wheres the fish? if its going to put me through that I wanna eat it!" He says with obvious hunger in his voice. Still sitting on the beach he looks up at Blaez, his eyes with the same question.

"Whoops..." He said before transforming back and dropping it back onto the paper. "Heh..." Sorry..." He said changing back to his human form. "It'll need a little more cleaning now..."

"I would think so..." Rufus says hefting the large fish. After washing it off in its original water (better then half dragon slobber I would thing) he ends up drying it with an old shirt. Due to Chrono's appearant dislike for fish bowels he decides to put off cleaning it. "So, what are you bunch doing?" he says as if he was not just dragged through the water by an enormous fish.

"Heh..." He looked down and saw a scale of his. "How the hell'd that fall out..." He frowned, picking it up, he smiled. "Heh..." He held it at his side.

" 'ey... whats that you have there Blaez? " Rufus asks as he attaches the fish to his pack making it very awkward.

"It's... a scale of mine... must've fell off when I was saving you." He smiled and looked at Rufus struggle with the fish.

"well since you did save me I owe you part of the fish..." Rufus replies, "Though you know I had full control of that fish! I was just about to take it down" The obvious sarcasm coating the words as Rufus grinned happily at his fish.

"Heh... Right..." He smiled and walked over to his fish. "Well, good to know you have it all under control..." He said with sarcasm.

"Damn stright" Rufus replies, slinging the pack over his back. The fish seemed to wiggle a bit in its straps as Rufus roughly adjusted the weight on his back. Stumbling a bit he takes a few steps forward. "I'm going to go clean it out, I'll give you a piece when I'm done" Wobbling slightly he begins to march off the dock towards the shore "Hopefully that nice lady I'm staying with will allow me to use her oven"

"Right..." He smiled and looked back at his significantly smaller fish. "Keep it all." He said, turning around. "I'm fine for a few days." He started walking back down the dock. "See ya later."
