Durno'Ven - November 17, 2007 04:19 PM (GMT)
It was a dismal day. Gray clouds floated over head, occasionally dropping a light rain upon those who were traveling. A slight breeze wafted by lifting the cloacks of those trying to stay dry.

All in all, the weather did not bother Durno'Ven. He was used to the cold and rain. If there were travlers abroad, the weather might have bothered him a little. Most other beings did not deal well with the elements as he did. Not to mention the fact that the wetness only accented his massive size by making his cloak stick to him.

He saw a sanctuary a little ways off in the distance and he ran for it. It had been a long day and even thought the weather did not bother him, fatigue did.

Upon entering Durno'Ven was stricken. The place had a aura to it, like it had been touched by the Goddess herself. He could see a statue near the center of the place. He layed his boots near the enterance and walked forword. As Durno'Ven neared he could see that it was an Archangel, one of the higher beings.

Durno'Ven fell to his knees before the statue. He prayed to the Goddess. He did not have any specific prayers, he just offered thanks. Tears fell unbidden to the stone floor and he was shuddering. Yet he did not pause to whipe his eyes. Nay, Durno'Ven kept on praying.
