Title: Nymph of Light and Ash
Description: (p) Vaul

Ashley - November 13, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
Ashley along with the head water nymph, the head land nymph and her woodland sister the nymph of the oak tree. The four head nymphs came to the Sanctuary four times a year to worship and prey when the seasons changed and the leaves's colors changed with them.
The ash tree, held magical light quialities, its magic if light, so Ashley came representing both light and woodland nymph kind. The head water nymph held onto the handle and opened the door, her black hair spililng like liquid over her shoulders and blue silk and shells covering her pale skin. The land nymph's hair was golden like the sun and wore a dress of grass and moss. Her woodland sister wore a dress of red and orange leaves, her light brown, blonde hair short ot her chin. Ashley then walked into the Sanctuary, her dark brown hair shining under the sun, her olive skin covered by gold leaves. Because her tree had light magic its leaves turned a glittering gold in the fall and shinnig silver in the winter.

The tree enterd the room and all stood in a circle with their hands together in a prayr and meditation state. They then lifted one hand in the air and put thier other in the center of the circle, crystle blue water flowed from the water nymphs hand, vines from the land and bark from the wood, and from ashley's came a ray of light. Together it made all the elements and together it could be very powerful, they then let their magic go, and continued with the ceremony.

After hours the cerimony ended and left in the temple was the nymph of light, Ashley. Ashley's dark brown hair sparkled with flakes of gold, her green eyes swam with past memories, the leaves from her ash tree radiated a gold light that made the nymph look angelic.
Ashley then thought of the gaurdian of the stars, a smile crept onto her lips. She then turned to exite the temple when she saw, standing in the temple himself, was the gaurdian of the stars. Her light body froze.

Vaul, The Cursed One - November 14, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
It had been many years since he had last visited the holy capital that was the Sanctuary of Angels. Despite his allegiance to the ways of life and light, the being known as Vaul had never felt welcomed there. He had always felt as if he was an unwelcomed guest; tolerated but never wanted. But due to certain events that had transpired in the last few weeks he had been forced to personally attend a meeting of senior priests and mages. As a Guardian of Light, Vaul had authority over the sect of light priests and was there as a validation of their claims. But the dark guardian found trivial matters like this tedious and pointless; old men shouting at other old men trying to prove the exact same point in another way... and he was supposed to oversee to it all and decide the outcome?

It had taken far longer than Vaul had hoped but eventually the matter had been settles peacefully and without too much injury to over-inflated egos. But he was free at last and had decided to take a short tour of the grand cathedral-city. Being one of the immortal Maiar Vaul had the ability to render himself invisible in the mortal world but when visiting a guest city he often found this rude so he, on more occasions than not chose to assume the form of a young Atani male as he did not like being recognised as a deity unless it was within the boundaries of his own shrine.

Since he was a mortal child Vaul had been almost unnaturally stealthy when he had chosen to be and since his ascension and his creation of the Twilight Cloak, this had been multiplied almost infinitely.
Taking much pleasure from eluding and deceiving the various guards and sentries that surrounded the more secretive shrines, Vaul leapt from balcony to beam above the forbidden gathering areas until he noticed one that finally seemed worthy of a closer look.

The Night Lord smiled with genuine glee as he took in who it was that was in attendance of the gathering beneath him; the Nymph Ladies. Mistress lords of the woodland realms. But it was one in particular who caught the attention of the Cursed One; Ashley of the Ash Tree. Though her nymph charms had no effect on his Maiar senses, Vaul had always found her to be one of the most attractive beings in existence, second only to the Lady of Light herself.

Vaul watched quietly from his perch high above in the rafters; silently impressed with the elegant spectacle of the woodland ritual. But much to his disappointment he had entered close to the end and the majestic display was over much sooner than he had hoped. And no sooner had the ritual finished than the nymph ladies began to depart and head their separate ways.

Much to Vaul’s good fortune though, the lady of his attraction, Ashley, had decided to remain behind for reasons unknown and uncared. Dropping silently to the floor feet behind the fey woman Vaul returned his appearance to that of the Night Lord she was most familiar with; the great warrior with long silver hair and eyes that disappeared into eternity.

As she turned around to face him it was obvious to anybody the shock that had run through her.
“It is good to see you again my dear lady. And I must say... that was quite a show.” Vaul’s voice flowed like black satin and echoed throughout the large, cavernous room as he smiled towards the stunned girl.

“It is good to see you again my dear lady. And I must say... that was quite a show.” Vaul’s voice flowed like black satin and echoed throughout the large, cavernous room, his voice had always held a dark satin charm.

Ashley's lips curved into a smile, her emerald green eyes now with hints of gold because of the season shone like electricity. And his eyes those that looked as if the whole univers could fit into them were looking at her.
The two had indeed met before, once in the forest durring a time of dance and drink, but now they met again in a time of ceremony and worship.

Ashley curtsied for the Lord of Night. "As it is too see you again also. Thank you, I'm glad we entertain, though this time you have seen me with the other head nymphs, a nymph of water, land earth, and I now represent a nymph of two kind. The ash tree like you know, but also of light." Ashley lifted an elegent hand and let a ball of light form and float over to the Lord of Night. "I adapted the magic only recently, I found that when coming of age the Ash tree also holds another kind of magic, that of Light. So I now represent the light nymphs though I have yet to meet any others." She said laughing.

It had only been a few months after her seventeenth birth day when in the fall, the leaves did not turn yellow, orange and red like the others, they turned into a sparkeling gold and soon to be silver in the winter. Because of the tree held the light magic the leaves did not fall. Only became more radient of golds and silvers. She did not know however if the Lord of Night himself knew of this fact for she only found out just recently. The light magic is still not her primary magic.

Ashley then realized that she had been inturupted before her prayer that all nymphs gave in their best form of song. But because he was a guardian and if he asked she would have to preform infront of him, though she doubted he knew of this nymph tradition.

"You are as handsome as I remember." She said smiling, indeed his silver hair still shone like the stars. "I remember the last time we met we never had a chance to dance like so many of the others at the party."
