ooc: Okay, this is for anyone who lives in the swamp, or the forest. I guess all race's are welcolme, but its not intended to be a battle or anything, its just a place for the swamp folk to meet up. If you want to include a charactor profile, that would be helpfull, otherwise just include a link too the profile, or even include it on your sig.

Full desc of Lyla: Lyla's Desc

***
Lyla crossed the last of the swamp into the soft moss of the forest. The air was cleaner, and the atmosphere more serine. Making her way too her favourate spot, Lyla took in her surrounding. Vast mass's of green grass, random weeds and the occasional bush. Tree trunks close together, blocking out most of the light. Still, light came from the gaps in the leaves, occasionally making lyla vasible. She was wearing her traveling cloak, so her face could not be seen. The hood was up, but netherless she knew that she must not linger, in cast she was seen. Her light footsteps could not be detected from even the most senseative of ears, but that still did not act in her favour. Her eyes where changeing, which was never a good thing. Spotting what she had come for, Lyla stopped her quick pace, and stood still, admireing the lonely deer grazeing.

"Now then..." She mumbled to the lone creature. "Sorry i'm late.". The deer carried on chewing the grass, oblivious to Lyla ariveal. Lyla aproached slowly, and at last the deer spotted her. Even the most dumb creature in this forest feared Lyla. The deers eyes widened, and its frame stiffened and Lyla's eyes grew sad at the sight.
"There there, i promise it will all be over..." she murmerd to the deer, advanceing slowly, her arm outstretched. The deer flinced, but otherwise did not move. Lyla reached the deer, and kneeled down to stroke it.
"Mmm..." She rested the side of her head on the deers neck. "So warm.." turning her head so her ear as no long against the deer's neck, she brushed her lips over the exsposed neck. "so very warm..." Her lips pulled up into a smile, exsposeing two pointed fangs, which she sunk slowly, hungrily, into the deer's neck. The deer strugled to get away, but was no match agaist her strenth. But the deer did not struggle for long as slowly, the blood was drained from its lifeless body.

A Harsh wind whiped through the forest, blowing Lyla's hood down. Her face came into full veiw, her eyes opened to look around as she ate. Her eyes... once a warm golden colour, where now blood red with hunger. The more she drank, the more they turned back to their origional colour. "Thank you." she muttered simply, letting the deer go, where it fell in a heap on the mossy ground. Lyla stood, looking at the deer with troubled eyes. This was not her favourate part of the day for sure. A beam of light escaped the wall of leaves, and lyla hissed, throwing up her cloak. Indeed, no part of the day was her favourate. Turning away from the deer, Lyla made her way swiftly back too the swamp, her mind taking in every detail around her, every movement.

*Perhaps...* She thought. *One day, i wont need to feast on the blood of a deer* But deep down, she knew that this could never be. Eteranl night was her curse, and she knew that nothing else could be.

OOC: Passing by, hope you don't mind.

IC:

He was attracted by the smell of blood. It was fresh, the heat of life hadn't quite left and Geis was ravenous. Wandering was a lot harder than the elders had made it out to be, and he hadn't eaten for days. His kind could go for weeks without food but he had always been the runt of the litter and had always had a weaker stomach. He didn't think he could make it without having at least a bite of *something* and ran, at first on two legs and then, when he felt the need twist his entrails like a greedy sponge he dropped to all fours and ran all out. His eyes, sharpened by some latent magic he couldn't explain did the rest.

As a lupine he was naturally carnivorous and he had been living off city food for too long. He felt weak, every muscle ached as he did the familiar act of running and leaping and cursed himself for falling into the dangers of weakness. He wandered to learn, it was true, but if he forgot what he had already learned than his quest would bear little fruit. His feet left deep tracks on the perpetually damp ground but he didn't care. He couldn't hunt in a territory so different from his own, this would be his last chan-

He slid into a clearing, the hunter still here and still with its prey. He considered fighting for the spoils but decided against it. Even fur-heads were civilized when it came to food.

"Are you," he rasped at the fur-head, "done?" His gaze fell upon the deer hungrily.

Air Elemental - November 22, 2007 06:29 PM (GMT)
Alexas was sat atop a tree, playing with her familier. Attaching a peice of parchment to its leg, she threw the tiny creature in the air, and watching it fly away. The letter was addresses to Lord Thingol, and it was the uttermost importanc that he knew she had found her air familier. It proved she was getting better, all she needed now was to learn some spells.

Looking down through the trees, Alexas spotted somthing odd. Som-one was walking through the swamp sporting a black cloak with the hood up. Wathing this person, Lyla was suddenly curious. Why was she walking away at such a fast pace? When the person had gone from veiw, Lyla floated down to the ground and headed in the direction the person had come from.

She had a strange feeling she would find somthing there.

Melusine Flarell - January 16, 2008 02:12 AM (GMT)
Melusine was miserable without Gil-Estel. She didn't have very many friends in Yomeniampa either. So she decided to go back to Lake Aelin. Just for a visit. Perhaps if she visited Xelus' grave she would get some ideas.

But she stopped in the swamp. She didn't know why. Perhaps because it was so quiet.
