Title: A Watery Rendezvous
Description: Private

Merenwen Coamenel - November 6, 2007 03:57 AM (GMT)
Merenwen had gone through a lot and learned a lot about herself since she had learned the truth of her being a Guardian. She had spent a lot of time seeing vengeance, and though the need still formed in her heart and soul she knew that it could not be all she thought of. She had joined a guild with Sartana, one of her closest allies, and that had been the beginning of her once again finding herself. She would never forget her parents, would never give up hope on destroying the beast that had taken them from her, but she would do more with her life. She would help those in need and she would do what she could to help any followers of water that might be left after such a long absence.

It was time to see who was out there that would accept her offer of a meeting, to see how many would come to her in search of knowledge. She would teach them about the water, she would try to teach them some of its powers, and she would take the time just to have some fun with people who felt a connection to her own element. She did not know how many would arrive, she did not know if they would come ready to listen or seeking something from her, she just knew that it was time to fully show herself.

She could have had the meeting in her shrine, that probably would have been the safest place to have such a meeting, but that would limit who would be able to come. The Mer-people would not be able to come if she chose to hold the meeting in her shrine, and so she would hold it somewhere that everyone would be able to attend. Sure, that meant that anyone could stumble across the meeting, but she would take that chance and if anyone showed who wished to do them any harm she would do her best to protect everyone who came.

She had sent out invitations, she had spread the word of the meeting, and she had done what she could to be sure that all her followers, and all those who wondered about her element, would know of the meeting and be able to come. She had also done what she could to insure that the news did not reach anyone who would wish to do her or her followers harm. Still, there was always the chance that someone evil had gotten word, or even that someone would stumble across the meeting. She would just have to be ready.

As for the meeting, Merenwen had found a beautiful cliff that ran along the Eastern Coast, a cliff on which it would be very comfortable for people to sit. The ground was flat and covered in lush soft grass. There was a large oak tree whose branches hung over leaving a great amount of shade under which people could sit. As for those who needed the water to survive and would not be able to sit upon the land, she raised the water level up to a few inches below the cliff so that they would have deep enough water in which to swim.

With the sun shining down around her and the water lapping at the edge of the cliff, she decided to take off her cloak, weapons, and boots, and relax as she waited. She slipped her feet into the water and let the breeze that was blowing in softly lift her hair. She did not know if anyone else would come, nor when they arrived if they came, but she would wait all day in hopes of being able to share her knowledge and some of her time with those who felt connected with the water as she did.

Winter - November 6, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
Life was not going the way Winter had planned, even if she succeeded in one of her goals it wasn't without a great effort and forceful decisions. On many occasions she had gone against her own beliefs and acted rashly, she still hadn't forgotten the incident with Morkus. To cut a long story short, she needed to find out where she'd lost everything and find the best way to get it back and learn from her mistakes. Since trying to hide her past had proven to only make her situations worse she supposed she'd be best off telling her secrets to someone who could understand and not someone who would likely take advantage of her.

For once, Fate seemed to be pointing in Winter's favor; a messenger had come up to her and delivered a piece of parchment to her a few days ago. It was a complete mystery as to how the man knew who she was or where he would find her to deliver to, and if a simple messenger was able to track her down so easily then she was defiantly going down the wrong path, even more reason to seek some sort of guidance. She had never really considered following something like a deity or a figure of power, in fact she had decided long ago that the only orders she ever took would benefit her own goals in the long run.

Looking back at the message given to her she saw it was some sort of invitation, it didn't contain much details (most likely due to confidentiality) but it was clear where she needed to go. However, why anyone would take the effort to invite her to a gathering wasn't the sort of thing she could work out off the top of her head, for one thing anyone who knew her closely enough undoubtedly knew that she avoided most contact or socialization and wouldn't want to push her too hard.

It wasn't the sort of thing she'd wander off to so willingly, but her life had been too hectic for her to miss this opportunity, for no matter how much she tried to hide it she was attributed to the water element.

The journey to the specified location wasn't exactly difficult, she had visited the eastern coast before and it was pretty easy to find in the first place. For once in her life she had something to think about as she traveled. She was wondering what the best path would be for her to set out on if she was to achieve her true goals by the end of her life, by far the best choice before had been to grow stronger but now that didn't seem enough, she had grown stronger but her life still felt incomplete.

She arrived with a little time to spare, taking in her surroundings. The cliff she was on has a large area, enough for a fairly large gathering, and a tall oak tree stood, casting its shadow over most of the area. Moving closer Winter noticed the water had risen to quiet a high level as well. Looking up she noticed the water guardian waiting. Whether for her or other people Winter didn't know, but if this was how she was going to turn her life around the best way to start would be the guardian of water. She was no stranger to the guardian, but the two hadn't really interacted much, so Winter doubted she would be specifically friendly towards her. Not being an expert in introductions, Winter merely stood where she was, silent and emotionless, waiting for the guardian to acknowledge her presence. She wasn't exactly stealthy so she doubted she would be surprised by her sudden appearance.

Apanie - November 14, 2007 02:43 AM (GMT)
As Apanie approached down the long road she began to see the sparkiling beauty of the ocean. The sight of it's splender sent a quick pang of homesickness through her. She very much missed her family and wished nothing more then to see them, unfortunately her mission was of a greater importance. As she drew closer Apanie lowered the hood of her cloak and shifted her katana into a more comfortable position about her waist. She could clearly see two women up ahead. Apanie wondered to herself whether or not one of them was the guardian of water. It had been a week ago when she had recieved the message letting her know that as a follower of the water element she was invited to this meeting. Apanie had no idea what the meeting would involve, but with nothing terribly pressing on her agenda she decided to go. Maybe it was a little bit of that homesickness that she had felt earlier. Well, either way it couldn't hurt to meet other followers of water, figured Apanie. Approaching the edge of the cliff she found a rather comfortable seat and slid out her cloak, setting it on the ground next to her. Undoing her sword belt Apanie basked in the warmth of the sun. Turning to the two nearby women she decided to initiate introductions. "So, are you two here for the same reason I am?"
