Title: Meeting Water At The Lake
Description: Private, Apanie
Heath Hawthorne - November 3, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
Heath Hawthorne was slowly walking along the shores of Lake Aelin. He stopped walking, his leather stopping their constant motion along the shores. He took in a deep breath, breathing in the smell that was blown in from the constant breeze, his hair being played with by the wind. He looked around at the trees, the deep blue waters next to him. He walked closer to the lake's waters and knelt down, looking down at his reflection.
"So that's why people are unnerved by my appearance." he thought, rubbing a hand over the black leather eye patch that covered the place where his left eye had been taken out in battle. He gazed at it, thinking of how his appearance was somewhat unnerving and disturbing with the patch on, but he dared not take it off, for he remembered what people had done before he had gotten the leather patch. He saw a silver fish leap of the blue waters, falling back into the water. He watched the ripples spread across the waters surface, watching as they continued getting closer, and then wiping out his own image as they spread to the edge of the lake.
"Water, it is so beautiful, so needed for life, all need it. It can provide both life and death. Interesting isn't it, that it can do both the giving and the taking of life?" Heath said out loud, to no one and nothing in particular, just out into the air. He looked back into the sky, looking at the clouds passing over head. Then he sat down and he laid his head back onto the soft grass underneath him. He let out a sigh as he closed his eye, hoping that he could fall into slumber and fall into dreams.
Apanie - November 9, 2007 05:51 PM (GMT)
Apanie was deep with in the loving water of Lake Aelin when she sensed that she was not alone. Looking upwards towards the sky she saw the silouhette of someone. Slowly she swam upwards towards towards him and softly heard his words form her position just below the surface of the water. Suddenly he backed away. Interested in who this man could be she slowly rose out of the water. Suprised to find him laying down as though to take a nap, she anwered his previous statement, "Truly, it is more interesting than you could imagine." Remembering that her cloak and sword were stashed behind a nearby tree during her swim she conciously made an effort to keep her watery form as androginous as possible, not knowing how this one eyed man would react to a naked water-woman standing over him.

Shortly after Heath had closed his eye to fall into sleep, he heard a voice coming from seemed to be the lake itself.
"Truly, it is more interesting than you could imagine."
He quickly opened his one good eye, looking to see a being, in the appearance of a human female except that he knew that she wasn't, for she come out of the lake, and her skin was completely blue. He was startled by the being suddenly coming out of the water, so he quickly and nimbly jumped to his feet, keeping one hand in ready access of his sword hilt.
"Who and what are you?!" he asked. Normally he would have asked her what her name was and how she was doing, in a friendly manner, but he was startled by her sudden appearance.
"Could she perhaps be an elemental being? I've heard of them, but I've never seen one." he thought to himself, waiting for a response or an action on part of the woman in front of him. He brought his right hand up higher, feeling the steel pommel, and gripped the leather wrapped hilt of his longsword. He wasn't sure if his sword could hurt her if she was an elemental, but he knew that if he had to fight, he would go down at least trying to survive.
"But could my sword damage water? Well, let's hope we don't find out." he thought, then he remembered her words that she had said, "I wonder how she means?" He looked over the woman's shoulder, looking into the depths of the blue water. Then he looked back at her.
"Then again, she could mean herself." he thought.

T her words the man woke up and Apanie was interested to see that he only had one eye. He lept up and began shouting questions at her. Apanie allowed herself a small smile at his suprise. "I good sir am Apanie. I am what you were speaking of, water." With a smile she then placed her hand parallel, with one over the other, allowing one hand to de-constitute itself and run into the other. She very much enjoyed showing off. Reforming her hand she said in a mock secretive tone, "Water is neccesary for life, true, but sometimes it IS life." Apanie began to slowly saunter over to the tree where she had stowed her belongings. On the way she allowed herseld to fill out into a more feminine appearance beign as the one-eyed man didn't seem to be suprised by her state of dress so much as her existince. Picking up her belonings Apanie turned and inquired, "and who/what might you be?"

As Heath was thinking to himself, he heard the woman begin to talk to him
"I good sir am Apanie. I am what you were speaking of, water."
Heath wasn't sure what exactly to do. He didn't think he needed to worry to much about his life, thought he still knew to be ready, for the woman's open friendliness towards him. He watched as she placed her hands parallel to each other and he saw one hand seemingly turn water and flow into the other hand.
"So she is a elemental, a water one at that." he thought, interested by her ability, then he heard her voice again, speaking to him.
"Water is neccesary for life, true, but sometimes it IS life."
He saw her start to move over to a tree, starting to feel awkward around her as she seemed to him to become more feminine in appearance, but didn't wear any clothes. He looked back at the water, wondering what the full extent of her power was, and how a living being could be made of water. He heard her voice again.
"and who/what might you be?"
He glanced back at her, she had put on a cloak and had picked up a sword.
"Me? My name is Heath Hawthorne, a human." he said to her. He was interested by the water elemental.
"I could definitely learn alot from her, a whole lot." he thought.
"You said your name was Apanie? Well Apanie, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind teaching me some?" he asked, quite earnestly.
