Winter's recent experiences had all become hectic quiet rapidly, maybe it was because of the organization, B.A.D.I, she had agreed to aid or the search for her new katana, Libra. Either way Winter need a way to cool off, even she needed a break now and again after life had thrown just about everything at her. Being a creature allied more to ice and water, she instinctively traveled in the direction of that element, to be specific Lake Aelin. Winter had never been there before, but while traveling through the landscape she had learned of its location in case she ever need to go there. She had no idea what would await her there, but whatever it was would have to be better than the rapid life she was leading at the moment.

She had set off a nightfall, so as to travel alone and with nobody seeing her. She was quiet a sight at the moment: Both her wings were missing, resulting in two empty tears in the back of her top, one arm had a series of tiger stripe-like scars running down it. Her eyes had always been slitted, an odd enough sight to anyone, but her right eye was slowly turning blood red, she was irritated by this, since it stung at random times during the day and may eventually impair her vision. Despite this she was far too stubborn to see a healer or a cleric, in any case the wound had been caused by a magic weapon, the exact same one she currently had on her back, so she doubted any form of healing would help.

The sun was just rising as the reached her destination, giving her enough time to sit down and enjoy the beauty that was the sun rise, casting a scarlet glow over the water and the sky. Winter felt content just to sit here and watch as the sun moved higher up the sky, ending its show of color and settling in the sky. The water was still glistening from the light cast, and the familiar signs of early morning were spreading slowly across the landscape. Birds began to sing in the trees to each other, calling for a mate of possibly their next meal. A pleasant breeze passed over Winter, blowing the smell of grass, lake and trees with it and calming her nerves. She couldn't remember the last time she'd had the chance to relax like this.

After a long time she stood up and wandered over to the edge of the lake, cupping some of the water in her hands and splashing it over her face. She looked down at her reflection in the water. The image seemed almost alien to her, and not herself at all. She looked away from the blank face in the water mimicking her own and gazed across the lake. She reached up and took Libra off her back, relieving herself of the swords weight and ramming it into the ground. The bandages wrapped around the handle fluttered to the side in the breeze as soon as she let go of them. She then undid the strap holding the scabbards of her two normal katanas held in an 'X' shaped scabbard and placed them beside their larger sister.

Having relieved herself of her weapons she waded into the lake, paused for breath and dived in. Winter had no special powers under the water, so she couldn't breath any more than a normal human could, but it put her mind at peace somewhat, hearing nothing in her ears and not being under the force that held her to the ground so much. She swam downwards and while she did so she recounted on her past life, feeling somewhat disappointed with her performance so far. After barely a minute she kicked up again, resurfacing and taking in a large gulp of air before calming down. She brushed a strand of wet hair out of her eyes and swam back over to where she left her equipment. Laying down next to them she waited for the sun to dry her before setting off again.

Thal had never been more bored in his entire life. Nothing he had tried so far had made his boredome evanesce. He wandered around and finally decided to visit one of his favorite spots in the world. Lake Aelin always provided some sort of enjoyment for him. He decided that he wanted to go for a swim in the lake. That was before he saw a woman jumping into the lake. He decided that it would be kind of strange to jump into a lake right after somebody else did. Whether it would be stalker-ish, or just plain creepy, he couldn't tell. He would bet on just creepy, since he wasn't even following this girl. He thought you had to actually be following somebody to be a stalker...

Either way, it would have been quite odd to jump into the lake with the girl, so he decided to just walk around the lake, not looking at her. When she got out of the water and lay down, he flashed a small smile at her. Whether she saw it or not, he didnt know. He decided that he would just keep walking around the lake until she showed some sign of seeing him. If she ever did, that is. He hoped she would, because he was far too bored already to continue walking around the lake aimlessly.

Winter wasn't very good at sensing the presence of other people, it was one of the flaws that came with her angelic body, that and the lack of physical strength. She recalled once asking for this to be corrected, but the damage had already been done and there was nothing she could do about it. It was because of this weakness that Winter didn't notice the elf wandering about the lack behind her, even if she was fully awake. She never really got much sleep, so now was as good a time than any to do a bit of catching up. She'd never really appreciated sleeping or dreaming, all her dreams were empty and silent most of the time so there wasn't really much she got out of them.

When she did wake up again, it was due to a small voice in the back of her head. She sighed and sat up, gazing out across the lake again, she'd heard that voice a few times before, a voice of a ten year old girl. It made no sense to Winter, as she had never known any ten year old girls, but probably the oddest thing about this voice was that she felt as thought it was hers, spoken from far away, although she had never said any of those things in her life.

She brushed the thought aside and got to her feet, retrieving her weapons. She picked up her twin katanas and strapped them onto her back again, making sure the buckle was tight enough to stop them slipping off. She then picked up Libra, giving the sword an odd glance as she looked at it. She sighed and hefted the blade over her back and, with difficulty, tied it back into place securely. She had yet to use the weapon in actual combat, so she should probably get round to using it sometime in the future.

Once she'd finished this train of thought her eyes fell upon the elf for the first time, having not seen him following her before, however her face betrayed no surprise or any such emotions that a person would feel when seeing a person for the first time, she doubted he meant her harm either since he didn't look the type to attack people for the sake of it, that and if he wanted to kill her he'd have taken his chance a few minutes before while she was still asleep.
