Title: Shipwrecked
Description: A search for survival

Archangel Drake - October 19, 2007 05:36 PM (GMT)
Drake's eyes opened slowly, staring straight sideways at something bright. His head throbbed, his heart raced, and his eyes opened wide quickly. He sat up slowly, surveying this new landscape. What looked to be an island, pearly white sands gracing the area, appeared to Drake. Crystal clear waters crashed against the shore softly, a soft, warming touch to Drake's feet whenever the tide came in close enough to lick at his heels. He was sitting midway on a beach, his clothes soaked, torn, and scattered. He took off the tattered and useless shirt, discarding it. His dark green pants were even darker when wet, which they were, and they clung to him without mercy. He was soaked, his cloak two feet away, his sword out of sight. He stood slowly, taking in the memories that rushed to him like arrows.

He had been on a ship. Having boarded illegally, he had hid in the storage until take-off. About ten minutes after the voyage had started, he had wandered out into the second-class deck, chatting idly with passengers. Suddenly, thundering blasts had come from nowhere, and something tore through the ship like a knife through butter. Nobody knew what was happening, when a bright light had come from nowhere. The light swallowed everything in sight, and drake had blacked out.

He looked around, spotting more bodies on the beach. Some were no doubt dead, but others moved. Some looked like passengers, others like adventurers. Drake put on his wet cloak, keeping the hood off. Looking around, wandering, he found his sword somehow stuck in a palm tree's trunk. Drake grasped the handle and tugged violently, barely managing to pull it out. He had shaken the tree so badly that some strange sort of fruit had fallen around him. He jumped back just as a star-shaped fruit fell onto the ground, just where he had been. He had been in no danger, but was quite surprised. Picking up the fruit and silently inspecting it, he bit into the small star and found it quite sweet. Having not eaten in at least two days, Drake ravenously tore into the star and three others, all shaped the same.

Feeling less hungry and more confused, he sat down and viewed the scene from ten feet above the beach, under the tree. Off to his right, a tall cliff climbing at least 100 feet of pure, steep death. To his left, marvelous expanses of Ocean. Going from crystal clear to a bright blue, it blended with the sky at one point. Behind him lied a great forest. He heard a commotion within the forest, no doubt some animals hunting prey. Some of the occupants laying in the beach stirred.

Hacile GrayMoon - October 22, 2007 10:43 PM (GMT)
Hacile had been flying enjoying a time of the ocean, when he saw a ship torn in half trying to stay afloat a little aways from a island. He decided to investigate. He swooped down by the water, the ship was torn exactly in two. He tried to look around and discover what did this but had no clue. He saw a human standing on the beach.

Hacile decided to land and try to help the people that were on the beach. When he arrived onto it he asked the man "What wrecked your ship sir?" hoping the man could tell him what had happened to the ship.

Archangel Drake - October 23, 2007 02:22 PM (GMT)
"what wrecked your ship, sir?" The dragon had asked. Drake sat still for a moment, taking everything in. A talking dragon... what was next?
"I... have no idea. I don't remember much..." Drake sighed. The beautiful ocean was wonderous to him. He had never been much for staying in one place for a while, but he could get used to the island. He held up a star shaped fruit to the dragon.
"Here. They're great." The delicious star-fruits had kept him alive, it seemed. He was almost addicted. Looking around tentatively, the fruit still in his hand, Drake searched for other forms of life.

Hacile GrayMoon - October 24, 2007 05:05 AM (GMT)
Hacile was not new to the look the man gave him. A dragon that talks was not a ordinary sight after all. Hacile figured to try some of the fruit "Thanks, he said" chewing some of it he smiled "wow not bad I must say, lucky you came by this, quenches the thirst and hunger rather good." Well, would you like me to stay and help you figure out what happened? I am rather concerned that evil is present." Hacile figured he would help the human figure out what happened since he figured the man was not a very evil type of person.

Archangel Drake - October 24, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
Drake was quiet for a second. The dragon was not from Arda, it seemed. He spoke the language well, but his accent showed signs almost like where Drake was from. He looked the large Dragon in the eyes. Such kind eyes, he noticed. If he were helped by such a nice, friendly person, Drake's day would just be that much better.
"Thank you. That would help greatly. However, if survivors exist, I think it would be better to help them first." He stood, offering another of the star fruits to the dragon, pocketing two of them. Looking out at the blue, heavenly expanse before them, it was hard for Drake to believe that some sort of evil existed here. Drake was silent for a moment, looking out upon the beach. There were at least 15 dead of the twenty or so people there. The poor people had simply wanted a vacation, not a deathtrap.

Hacile GrayMoon - October 24, 2007 03:06 PM (GMT)
Hacile was glad the man would allow him to help him. "I will make a fire, and start pulling them up, away from the nasty sea water" He went over and grabbed 3 people, pulled them up, farther up the beach, and then used his tail to knock down some trees. He stacked the trees up, then snorted a small fire ball out of his nose into it.

"Would you like me to go get some food while you tend to these people?"

Archangel Drake - October 24, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
"That would be great, thanks." Drake had never seen a real dragon before. Or, at least, he didn't remember ever having seen one. He had heard stories of them, but didn't expect this. He almost laughed when the dragon shot a fireball from its nose. Drake moved quickly to the aids of two more live passengers, carrying them to the land where the others lied. The rest, unfortunately, were dead. Cuts dug deep into their bodies, or concussion marks from being thrown from the ship. He couldn't help them, and thus he was saddened. He took the two star fruits from his pocket and gave one to a waking passenger who tentatively accepted it. They devoured it quickly. The other fruit was laid next to a sleeping child. Drake continued taking care of the living as much as he could, but he was not a medic.
"Damn... if only we had a mage..." He softly cursed once more to himself, shaking his head.

Hacile GrayMoon - October 25, 2007 01:17 AM (GMT)
Hacile was flying, and saw a wild boar, he swooped down and grabbed it killing it with his claws. He dropped it right beside the fire. He started cutting it up, when he finished he noticed that the man had helped one of the people already. He felt bad for not being able to heal them. "I think the one on your right might live, he just has a couple of broke bones, hopefully, I think I saw, while I was hunting, a bunch of dark figures about 20 miles or so away from here. I hope they are peaceful." Hacile laid down, and started carving the meat "where are you from?"

Archangel Drake - October 25, 2007 02:37 PM (GMT)
Drake noted the quick work Hacile was making of the boar's carcass.
"Dark figures... were they human-like? What did they appear like? Oh, and I'm from the middle of nowhere, really." He continued checking on the living for any signs of death: Those were the ones he would help first. He looked down upon the beach again. Torn bodies lay about, stuck in his mind. He had passed out when the ship was attacked, so what could've done these things to the passengers? The ship was neatly torn in two, right down the middle, floating off a small distance from the island. If they hadn't been so close, he wouldn't have made it. A headache began in Drake, and he stopped what he was doing. It hurt rather badly, so he tried rubbing his forehead, which yielded no results. It got worse, and felt like his head would split any second. then, a voice...

"Take cover!" An explosion ripped through Drake's surroundings. He couldn't see, but he heard what was happening. People were screaming, something was being torn apart by a horrible beast. The smell of death reached him.
"Evacuate! All combat-hands to deck!"

And he was back. Back with Hacile, back with the survivors. He had been sitting the whole time, and had blanked out for a moment. The memory came rather quickly, but now drake could see once more. To Hacile, it had appeared nothing more than Drake sitting down and rubbing his head.

Hacile GrayMoon - November 5, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
"They looked kinda, human and lizard. They were fast little, and bent over, but they moved like snakes, I am not sure why." Hacile was trying to figure out what exactly they were, but he didn't have time to get closer when he had seen them. "I figure if they don't bother us, and we don't bother them we are ok."

Hacile was wondering if the little things would become enemies or not. He was hoping for more allies at the moment.

Archangel Drake - November 14, 2007 06:30 PM (GMT)
"I don't know for sure, but I do hope for some friends... We've enough enemies already, what with the weather changing so much in the tropics and the lack of shelter here." Drake was impatient when it came to saving people. He did not want anybody to be hurt or to die, but a few had already passed away, and there was nothing he could do about it. It was not like Drake to fail at anything, let alone something so important.
