Description: open

Alchemy - October 7, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
A cloudless sky graced the night sky along with a new moon leaving nothing but stars to twinkle in the sky. A light turned on in the window of the Kaima inn. A small, red haired girl stepped out through the door and into the night, her hair was still tied behind her in a single ponytail, but she'd changed into her usual black, silk top, skirt and boots. She turned around to address the person silhouetted in the doorway.
"Thanks again, sir," she said, bowing her head.
"Hey I should be thanking you," the man said "same time tomorrow then?"
"Sure," Alchemy replied "see you then."
She waved to the innkeeper and wandered off down the road, humming merrily.

Alchemy hadn't been in Estolad long, but she was already used to her general routine: She'd wake up in the morning, have a quick wash and then wander down to Kaima for work, finish up and then go home. She liked living in Estolad, it was a small place, but she liked it just for that, feeling it reflected her in some way. Alchemy had almost surprised herself the way she managed to fit in so easily, it was probably her habit of enjoying just about whatever she was doing, no matter how boring it would turn out to be for a normal person.

As she wandered down the street she thought back to the last few days, and wondering how many more sights she was destined to see. The size of this world seemed to fascinate her, not just that but the sheer beauty of it all, she always thought that there was no way at all that this would have come about without the aid of some sort of deity or whatever. She didn't make a habit of this way of thinking, but she did have a certain affection for plants and animals, something she seemed to take pride in. She glanced down at the sword hanging at her side, remembering the rose calved into the blade. She wandered if the sword had somehow come to her, it had, after all, turned up as though it had always been there, and Alchemy hadn't even noticed until she was a few steps out the door that she'd picked up a sword before leaving. She smiled down at it, not having any time to dwell on the past at the moment.

Valynna - October 7, 2007 07:55 PM (GMT)
Valynna saw the small village from her view point in a tree overlooking the forest below. A rustle in the underbrush made her turn quickly behind her. Her body tensed, her eyes staring into the direction where the sound came from. Staying still as stone she heard whatever creature was below move away from her and the village. Letting go a sigh of release she jumped down to the ground and began to run towards the village.

Once among the buildings of the village, Valynna stopped running and began to regain her breath. Lights from the windows revealed to her that she was covered in blood, some of it was hers but not all. She had cast her dark regeneration earlier, the first moment she got, so she new she had stopped bleeding but blood was still on her. Her ands, her torso, arms. Man was she a mess, but at least she got to a safe point, all she wanted to do was crash onto a bed and sleep away the rest of the night.

Once she got her breathing under control she continued to walk down the dirt road in the village, everything was so dark, she couldn’t tell where the inn was, or even if this place has an inn. Finally she caught sight of a red haired girl.

“Excuse me, can you tell where the inn is?” She asked from the darkness as she approached the girl, her figure coming into some light revealing her long black hair and a gilt of her red eyes, as well as the dried blood on her clothes and skin.

Alchemy - October 7, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
Alchemy's thoughts began to wonder again as she gazed up at the sky, and they weren't the sort of things a girl her age would usually think about, although for Alchemy it was perfectly normal. She'd began by pondering the string of adventures that she'd found herself wound up in lately, starting with a bit of a scrap about a month ago, then a storm that eventually wound up with her here, and she'd liked the village so much she decided to stay. She smiled as she gazed upwards, finding the stars twinkling above her appear to grow prettier by the second.
"Hyah, I'm sure glad I came here," she sighed.

She looked down again, about to walk on again when she was interrupted by movement behind her. Alchemy was completely ignorant to almost every single one of her abilities, and seemed to forget them almost as soon as she realized she had them, so this time was no exception. She found all of a sudden that she'd noticed the presence behind her without even listening for it and merely passed the event off like a passing thought. She blinked, looking down at the stranger.
"Huh?" She titled her head to one side, giving her a curious look "oh my."
The shadow made it hard to see, but the figure standing in front of her didn't appear to be in the best condition, Alchemy could see dark patches on her clothes and skin, and she wandered what they were.

"Oh, hold on," she said, closing her eyes "Vaeri, jhaer ti mi." Alchemy opened her eyes again, they now had a faint green glow to them, highlighting her cat-like pupils but also allowing her vision to lighten somewhat.
"Oh my, you look like you've been dragged through a thorn bush," she looked up the street to see if there was anybody else around "hm, well the inn's just up the road, if you'd like me to show you the way."

Valynna - October 8, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
Valynne was still on edge from before, as soon as the girl began to chant she went on guard, bringing her staff in front of her ready for whatever this girl was doing. The red haired girl then opened her eyes, revealing a green glow to them which made Valynna even more suspicious of her surroundings. But it appeared that whatever she just said helped her to see better in the dark…a useful trick…something that she should look into.

“Don’t worry about it, I’m fine, just leftover blood from earlier tonight.” Valynna said letting herself relax, slightly. She moved her staff away beside her, but she couldn’t stop looking at the girl’s eyes, and how they have changed. What was she? Maybe she had some sort of special training, if so, why was she in this sort of place?

“If you don’t mind showing me the way.” Valynna said, finally pulling her eyes off the girl and taking another look around her. She was still disturbed that she could have been tracked by that thing in the woods. But everything looked still and quiet.

“This place sure is quiet. How can you live here?” Valynna asked to no one in particular. If she was forced to stay in such a quiet place, she would surly go nuts and start attacking everyone.
