Title: Evil On The Shores
Description: Private, Darius

Suliss'urn Haruk - October 6, 2007 02:37 PM (GMT)
Lake Aelin, a beautiful and impressive lake, had an unusual guest one day. Walking on it's shores was a female Drow, or at least in appearance, her name was Suliss'urn Haruk. She was gazing out into the lake, watching as a fish jumped out of the water, then fell back into the clear, blue waters of the lake causing ripples to spread out across the lake. She walked up the shore a little ways, then she sat down on a patch of green grass, her white hair flowing in the light breeze that was filling the air with the smell of salt.
”This is a sight that I would never have seen in the caves, but I still miss them, for most of the sights in there you could not see outside of them. Those beautiful caves, but I will have to get more acquainted with life out of the caves, for I doubt I will be let back.” thought Suliss'urn, letting out a sigh. She looked into the clear sky, putting her hand over her eyes as soon as she did, the sun glaring into her unusual eyes, crimson on the outside and golden on the inside. She stood back up, moving her lithe, black-skinned figure underneath a tall, bushy tree, then she sat back down.
”Why is there so much light though? It still is much too bright to me.” thought Suliss'urn as she moved out of the light of the sun. She laid herself down in the grass, looking into the tree, then as was about to close her eyes, she thought she heard a noise behind her. She sat up quickly, looking around to see if anyone was there.
”Is someone there?” Suliss'urn said as she stood to her feet, putting a hand on the hilt of her dagger.

Lake Aelin, what a beautiful sight. Though Darius hated people in general, and normally had a grim outlook on everything, he could certainly appreciate nature's beauty. He wasn't so heartless that he had to destroy everything in his path. Unless he was in the mood, of course. When he was in the mood to destroy, well things got wrecked. For instance, around a week before he had entered a small town outside of Lomedor. Everything there was just too cheery for him and it was putting him in a very, very bad mood. So, instead of just passing through and getting as far away from that sickeningly happy town, he planted a few lies by shifting his shape into the guard captain (he disposed of the captain before hand, of course). Eventually, when the town guard was split into two factions, Darius, in the form of the captain, assassinated the town mayor, and slaughtered everybody in sight with the use of a small torch. He was amazed at the amount of chaos and damage one torch on the roof of one house could cause.

Now, though, there was nobody at the lake that he could see. Nobody to be happy and having a good time. Nobody to piss him off enough to burn the whole forest to the ground. Actually, there was one woman walking around, her black skin shining in the sunlight.

Interesting, Darius thought. He morphed quickly into a small, white songbird and flitted around the lake a bit. When the girl lay down under a tree, he landed up in the upper branches. He looked down at her as she drew a dagger, obviously having heard the fox in the bushes behind her. The fox trotted out from the bushes and past the tree, padding lightly on his feet. Darius morphed back into his human self, and jumped down from the tree, landing right in front of the woman.

"Well, hello there," Darius said with a wry smile.

As Suliss'urn had drawn her dagger, she saw a fox come out of bush and then scamper away.
"Only a fox." she thought, about to sheath her dagger, when suddenly a tall and imposing man landed, seemingly from the tree, directly in front of Suliss'urn. She swiftly brought the dagger up, pointing it's sharp tip directly at the man's throat when he landed.

"Well, hello there,"

She heard him say as she pointed the cold, steel dagger at the man's throat.
"Who are you?!" she said as she held the cold point up, narrowing her eyes at the man.
"Who, and what, is this? He just suddenly falls from the tree, directly in front of me." thought Suliss'urn as she looked the man up and down, scrutinizing him. She was looking to see if he had a weapon on him, she saw none off of the back.
"He might have something under his cloak, whether by his intentions, or whether by when he came down." she thought, hoping that he didn't, hoping that if he wanted trouble, that she would have the chance to stick the dagger through his throat before he had the chance to hurt her.
"What are you doing here anyway?" she asked after asking who he was. She felt like just not even bothering with him and just letting him die here, but she decided to not take the chance, and see if she could gain anything from this person. Her eyes went up to his face, and she was surprised when she saw that his eyes were black, and his hair was white.
"Black eyes? What is he?" she thought as she looked at his face.

Darius raised his eyebrows as the girl pointed a dagger at his throat. The girl then yelled at him, obviously startled and angry that he had jumped from the tree without warning. He raised his hands in a gesture of peace, showing that he had no intention of hurting her. Yet...

"My name is Darius," he said. "There is no need to point your weapon at my throat. For one, I mean no harm, and for another..." Darius morphed into a hawk, flapped a bit to the side, and turned back into a human.

"As for what I am doing here," Darius continued, "Let's just say I appreciate beauty." He gave her a small, wry smile and turned to look at the lake. He clasped his hands behind his back. He soaked in the scenery for a few moments, watching the reflection of the sun off of the lake, and the birds swooping through the area, singing loudly. He resisted the urge to throw a rock at the birds to shut them up.

"Lovely spot, isn't it?" he said absently. Reminds me of the site of a recent fire, he thought to himself.

"So, what exactly are you doing here?" Darius asked and turned back to the girl. "And may I ask your name?"

((OOC: Sorry for the short post... aaannnd wrong account... my bad))

((OOC: Oh well, it's ok))

Suliss'urn held the steel tip of her sharp dagger at the man's throat.

"My name is Darius, there is no need to point your weapon at my throat. For one, I mean no harm, and for another..."

She heard him say, then she watched as he suddenly turned into a hawk and flew to the side some, then turned back into the man's humanoid form.
"A Shapeshifter? Great, oh well, at least we have one thing in common." thought Suliss'urn as she watched the man start to turn back into a human from his hawk form. She lowered her dagger, but did not yet sheath it's cold blade, shining in the sunlight.

"As for what I am doing here, let's just say I appreciate beauty."

She heard him say, giving her a sly smile. She did not return the smile, watching him turn, looking into the lake. She watched him clasp his hands behind his back, thinking of how she could thrust the dagger into him.
"No, I won't kill him, yet. Not unless he really annoys me, or tries to hurt me." she thought, putting the cold steel blade of her dagger back into it's sheath on her hip.

"So, what exactly are you doing here? And may I ask your name?"

She heard him say, she turned her thin body around to fully face the man.
"Well, Darius, my name is not your concern, but I will tell you anyway. My name is Suliss'urn Haruk, and I here for no set reason, I came here because I wanted to come here, and that alone." she said firmly to Darius. She was about to turn on her feet and walk away, when she felt the urge to ask the man about his abilities.
"You're a Shapeshifter, are you not?" she said before she had turned away, waiting for the man's response.
