Kithara flew to a pile of sand and rocks. She was in a batlle--she was minding her own business, walking along the hot sands when brute monster-like-creatures emerged from the sand and started attacking her. This reminded her of the situation back at the inn with the others... Raven, Sareion, Takoda, Chrono.... she was also attacked with no reason. she laughed at the thought.
"Shoot" she casted wind spells but the creatures kept coming back. She didn't know what to do.
She was mobbed and she was running out of ideas on how to defeat those things. the rumor she heard was true--the deserts hides deep secrets and she went there to find out what it is...she planned to find a way to go down the ground and reveal what is really the source of these recent attacks.

She tried her best to fight back but they were made of sand and they kept coming back...also she was alone... She dodged some attacks but failed to dodge others...she flew back and her bag fell open. A couple of her things fell out including her flute which she got fixed in one of the cities. She rapidly grabbed it and played with it.
"Wind, carry my message to anyone out there." she whispered as she fell down. The monsters started walking to her and her eye-sight was getting blury.
"Kit, stand up!!!" the voice inside her head yelled, "I won't allow you to die!!!"
Kit grinned. "It's all over..."

Raven surveyed the scene in front of her. Once again--just like in Kaima Inn, and in Wilwarin Inn (Kithara didn't really seem to have much luck in inns), Kithara was being attacked. She lifted her crossbow and winced--her arm was not yet completely healed from the incident at Kaima Inn.

Raven sighed, clenching her teeth and firing arrows at the monsters attacking Kithara.

Kithara closed her eyes, thinking it was all over and how rotten her luck is...Why is she always ending up in these kind of situations. to be truthful, the last time she was beaten up back in Kaima inn, she barely knew how she got out but now, it wasn't important anymore...she was done for... but after a while, she heard arrows fire and her eyes immediately opened...but something was different...her gray eyes turned black, she had fangs and now, some of her her wounds were like little scratches. She saw Raven from a distance and she stared at her.
"nice girl." she grinned, trying to run but somehow, her wounds pained her a lot, "Foolish creatures!"
She ran, daggers out and she enjoyed slashing up the monster into halves, and torturing them one by one... she was really different.

Silnimare had been flying around for quite some time, when he saw to women in a desert. He flew down to them, and drew his sword just in case one of the monsters tries something.

(....I don't think its against the rules to use a spell that is in the process of being bought...it doesnt say anything that inhibits it soo...)

Walking along he sensed somthing. the presence of monsters, and they were attacking people. Running as fast as he could he looked at the monsters that were appearing by the handful. "Alright guys thats enough. Come out Darkside." The very same monster that he defeated at the inn appeared in a thick whirl of smoke. "Destroy the monsters." Darkside complyed, using his fists it smashed all of the monsters until there were none left. "You may leave now" Darkside left in another puff of smoke. "Is everybody alright."

"Ah man. I was looking forward to the battle." He said as he flew down.

Raven turned to Chrono and Silnimare who had just arrived.

"How many times do I have to owe you before I can pay you back, anyway?" asked Raven to Chrono, "But, thanks."

Silnimare said, "I'll be over here. If you need me, well...please wait till I'm finished." He seemed to prefer solitude at this moment.

"Ok then I'll see you later." She smiled and waved him off. "Wow I forgot how hot It was" Taking her coat off she looked over to raven "What...oh right I didn't tell you...I'm actualy a woman." She looked at the shock in Ravens eyes. "yea I thought you would look like that"

Raven stood there for a moment in surprise.

"You're joking," she said, after a while.

Silnimare began to chant what seemed like a dirge, but it wasn't any language that he had heard before. It just came out. His eyes began to glow, and his mind expanded into the unseen realm. He saw a different world now. The world of spirits. It was the closest thing to dreams he had anymore. It seemed to give him peace, as the dirge continued. He turned and looked at his friends, but the seemed different now. For some unknown reason, his mind wandered to the boy he killed, years ago. Then it hit him. He was praying for the boy's spirit.

"no I'm not." she placed her hand around raven. "So what are we going to do now."

Suddenly, the little boy in his previously-suppressed memory said, "Daddy?" A flash of blinding white light flooded his mind. Back in the real world, he passed out with a hiss and a scream. As he lay there unconscious, his past was starting to come together. He had killed his own son.

Kithara woke up and the first thing she saw was still hot sand. Her eyes were back to it's true color--gray. She began to stand up.
"what?" she asked, "Did i die?"
Then, she spotted chrono, Raven and Silnimare.
She eyed all of them. Silnimare was in a corner, spending his time alone, Raven looked somewhat very surprised. She went over to them and heard what Chrono had told her.
"What?!?!?!" she said, in surprise, "You...are a girl?"
Her eyes widened and she was really freaked out... Her eyes may have turned back to the original color but her fangs were still there and she didn't notice them. She turned back and began analyzing the whole situation. she couldn't believe it.
"these guys finished the battle?" she thought, "What did i do the whole time?"
She sighed.

Raven turned to Kithara.

"I'm as surprised as you are," she said, "And...more than a little freaked out..." she added in a whisper, "So...are you okay?"

Silnimare woke with a scream and a start. "WHAA!!...what happened? Where am I? I...killed him...I killed him.." He started crying uncontrollably. "WHY? WHY ME?....why did I have to kill him...." he got on his hands and knees with his forehead on the ground. "I...I'm sorry..." He continued to cry uncontrollably.

Kithara turned back to Raven.
"Huh?" she asked, "Why? To be honest, i don't quite remember anything...I might have been sleeping all the time of the battle...Was I?"
She wondered and something sharp hit her lip...That's when she realized that her fangs were out...quickly, she covered them.

After a while, she heard Silnimares cries. she ran up to him.
"Hey are you okay?" she asked, "What's wrong?"

He wouldn't get up to look at her, he just kept crying. "I... I killed him... my.... my...." he trailed off into his bitter greif.

"He killed someone?" she thought, "But who???"
She walked up to him and patted him on his shoulder, trying to make him calm.
"It's alright." she said, "you can tell us when you're ready."
She nodded and went back to Raven.

Silnimare muttered, "Neutrality. It is seeing both sides of the coin. Not dwelling on black or white." He stood up and wiped his eyes. He walked over to the others with a calm and blank demeanor. "I killed my son years ago. Forgive me." He turned around and took off into the air. But he let a page out of his journal fall out at Kithara's feet as he flew off. It said "Thank you."

"He killed his son?" asked Raven, turning to Kithara. She spotted the page flying in the wind.

"Hey," she said, "Looks like he dropped something."

She waited till everybody was done talking. "Hmm maybe we should read it later" she watched Silnimare fly away and waved her hand "bye! don't forget to write sometimes."

"All right," said Raven, stuffing it in her pocket. She turned to Chrono.

"Okay," she said, "Well, then, I have a question for you. Why did you pretend to be a guy in the first place?"

She winced. That was the one topic she didn't want to talk about. She looked to the ground and then to kithara but saw that she wanted to know the answer as well. Shaking her head she realized that she had to reply. "I...I...I did it because...it was the only way out of a situation I was In."

"All right," said Raven. She could see that Chrono really didn't want to talk about it, and she wasn't going to force it out of her.

Breathing a sigh of relief she thanked whoever it was that made Raven this way. "thank you."

"It's no problem, really," said Raven, "So...what now?"

Kithara finally returned back to normal and she was ever so thankful. She glared at the hot sands.
"ummm....do you guys have anywhere to go to?" she asked, "I'm investigating on recent attacks."
she pointed at the dead monsters around the area.
"I found this in them." She said, showing the very same crystals that Chrono found in the big monsters skull, "I"m planning to investigate but i seem to have bad luck when it comes to walking peacefully and not getting attacked."
She blushed...and this was another embarrassing moment. She sighed.

Just looking at her she said with a smile "Well then...lets get going." she held her friends hands and began to walk in a random direction. "We're not going to get anywhere just sitting on our rear ends. So lets go."

"Go? Go where?" asked Raven, looking around, "All I can see is desert."

"Ah but you see, I can see more than just desert. I see a world of what may be." All three of them walked togather, occasionaly strange bird like demons called Zums would attack them but they always over came them in the end. She could see that Raven and Kithara were thirsy but she wasn't really worried about the here and now. looking out she saw somthing that looked like paradise. the desert oaises. It wasn't an illusion and all three of them ran and drank the cooling water.

"All right," said Raven, as they sat by the oasis, "So, when does the desert end? Because, to me, it looks like it's still a long way off."

She looked all around. The sun was getting to be about noon and she felt the water, which was quite warm by the way, so she decided it would be a good Idea to take a dip.
Taking off all her cloths she dove in. coming up for air she looked to find Raven and Kithara blushing. "What...oh come on in...I'm not going to bite. And its not as though Its anything you havent seen."

Raven sighed. She couldn't deny it--it was extremely hot. She got in the water as well.

She swam right over to Raven. "You see. life is to short to deny yourself the simple pleasures." She looked over to Kithara who was still hesitation to get in. "You wouldn't happen to have any soap on you would you?"

Kithara grinned and held a grip on their hands.
"Ah....you see a desert." she raised a finger, "but you can't see what's "Below" the sands."
she eyed them and nodded.
"We must find a way to get down there but we must be prepared, "she said, "I don't wanna get attacked, unprepared again."
she noticed that both of them were injured and also her as well. If they wanna find out the mystery, they had to be at least prepared and ready.

Raven turned to Kithara.

"Below the sands?" she asked, "What do you mean by that?"

kithara finally took a dip into the water. Her hesitations was because she wanted to be on gaurd for attacks or something but the water looked really refreshing so she had no choice but to jump in.
"what we are looking for is below the sands, girls." she smiled, "Follow a star that will lead you to a hidden door and there you shall find the answers."
she looked up and then looked at her two companions, "Huh? What are you two looking at? Is it something i said?" She blushed.

Raven raised an eyebrow.

"Follow the star? Hidden door? Are you getting heat stroke, Kit?" she asked, feeling Kithara's forehead.

"Hey!" kithara moved back, "I'm fine..."
She sighed and looked at Raven.
"Someone told me that." she smiled, "He told me if i wanted to find out, I must follow a star that will lead to a hidden door. Apparently, he has been there already."
she dipped herself under water for a while. It was really hot in the surface.
