Crystals fell onto the head of Lorien and began to melt into her blue hair, making it black. The glass surface of the lake began to break, circles getting bigger and bigger with every second, the glass was cracking, soon to be a broken shell.
And then their it stood, the most pure, the most majestic creature she had ever seen. A unicorn, a rain fader unicorn, its mane the prefect shade of white, its hooves black. Their it stood on the surface of the lake like a hologram that threatened to die a way at any moment.
Lorien stood still, her skin being hit by the pouring rain. The two creatures stood staring at each other. Her heart began to skip beats and the hooves hit the water but didnt go through. Soon the horse was face to face, hooves on the solid ground, he made no idication of respect, nore any of hate. He only stood. Lorine's hand began to slowly find the point of the horn. In the pool of water you could see their reflection, the true them, lorien stood with her ears normal, no esquisite point to them, her a t-shirt and jeans, and the unicorn a regular horse.
I just had to pick today of all days to not hitchhike... Cali thought as she trudged in the rain. Maybe I should just find a place in the woods to turn in for the night...
Cali made a sudden turn into the woods and began her quest to search for the proper shelter. As she made her way deeper into the woods that surrounded Lake Aelin, she could've sworn that she heard the faint sound of glass breaking. Giving into her curiosity, Cali crept closer to the sounds of the cracking glass. Her short walk led her to a thick bush and she peeked through it. Her bright red eyes widened and she barely held back a gasp.
Standing on the surface of cracked glass was a young-looking girl with pointed ears and, one of her favorite mythical creatures, a unicorn. The only unicorns she had ever seen were pictures in books and when her family--her younger sister mainly--transformed into them.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you looked at it) she lacked one of the qualities that was required to approach a unicorn, otherwise she would have sought one out.
Cali watched the two, anxiously awaiting what would happen next.
