Title: Minds folly

Rand - September 21, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
Rand walked along the shoreline tired from travel. He had not been to the waters in a very long time, and he thought it time to return. Walking along shore plants were alot diffrent than walking in the forest brush. He stumbled a bit the ground was loose and difficult for any creature with hoves to walk on easily. The feel of the sea breeze was welcome but carried somthing strange on it, somthing he has not smelled in a very long time. But he only let that grace his mind for a moment then he went back to enjoying the view. He walked to a tree and layed down to rest. It was mid-morning so he thought he might get a little sleep as he did not sleep that night. Rand layed there staring at the lake till his eyes closed.

Running through the forest Rand came to a small house ,no bigger than ten feet wide and long, and knocked on the door. The knock was answered by a very loud and deep voice that asked him questions. "Why have you come?" Rand answered the voice quickly"I do not know. Where am I?" "How have you come to be here?" "Again i do not know where this place is." "Do you live your life?""I do not know what you mean.""Be gone from here."The Door swung open forcing Rand back. Rand looked inside the house and saw nothing but ever-lasting darkness. But then a small child with pure white skin stepped out. The boy looked at rand without eyes, a mouth or a nose. It then seemed to scream then fly at him faster than possible. Blackness.

Rand's eyes shot open to night. 'How long did i sleep' he said to himself. He looked around only to see a solid black figure standing in plain sight. The thing looked at him seemed to smile then shot out onto the lake backwards, not flying but floating. When it got to the center of the lake it burst into flames then flew into the sky and covered the moon with it's dull orange blaze. The sky faded to a dark orange even the air seemed to change color. The air grew unbearably hot and weird noises filled the air followed closly by stranged shadows. "What is this?" Rand shouted "Am I going crazy?" Rand looked around franticly for anything that could help him. But nothing came to his eyes he was alone, for now.

Luces dived into the ocean once more, the fish swimming around him. 'How strange. I never seen fish so close.' He kept on swirling and dancing ever so gracefully with the fish. As he dove down, a voice seemed to echo through out the water.
'Come. Dance with me.'
It came from a dark grotto in front of him. His eyes widen as a shimmer was seen in the utter darkness. How the beautiful tingle echo and shimmered in his mind as he swam closer. Suddenly, a sticky tentical came out and grabbed him. Eyes widening, he pulled back, but the tentecal danced with him.
'Air! I need air!' screamed his lungs as he shot up towards the surface. The tenecal let go, dropping back down into the ocean. With that, he swam as fast as he could, reaching the coast in moments.

Dropping down on his knees, he tried to catch his breath. As soon as he caught it, Luces stood up to his full height and shook out his fur. When he stood up to check his surroundings, he instantly spotted a centuar. Cautiously walking up to him, his hand on the hilt of his cutlass. "Good day sir. Do you know where I am?"

Tanya - September 21, 2007 02:54 AM (GMT)
((ACK I hate it when I do that.)))

The night was strangly cool as a young girl walked through the sands of the Eastern Coast. The night was getting dark and she looked at the top of her staff. Raising it a little the top of it began to glow with a bright light. She knew it would not last long but the purpose was only to find her lantern and light it. Soon the lantern gave the light as the one on her staff dimmed setting it so it would hang on her staff. She slowed her movements as the darkness grew, she wondered what she would do out here in the darkness of the Eastern Coast. She could not really sleep here because of the tide, she would have to find higher ground.

However, something felt wrong. Up ahead she saw something moveing on the water. It flew backwards a bit more and stayed there for a moment. Something made Tanya shudder as she felt it glance towards her for a split second then it burst into flames and flew upwards. She went wide-eyed as it flew towards the moon and burst. The whole area seemed to grow into a dark orange. The silence was then broken by sounds and figures in the darkness.

Suddenly a pair of figures appeared in the light. One was a man, no he was a Centaur; noble creatures who are powerfuly wise or powerfully crazy. However, either way they were noble beings who should be treated with respect. The other was an obvious lupine. 'Hello child. Would you like to play?' she heard. Searching for the voice he gave a wave with her free hand, "Evening to you Sirs!" she called as she approached to him as she watched around her. "Particular night it is." she said watching the shadows.

Archangel Drake - September 21, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
First, only a ripple in the smooth waters. The deep orange sky held nothing but noises and heat. Then, the figure moved. It was submerged, moving along near the surface, creating slight waves amongst the lake. When it reached the bank, it climbed. It climbed until water no more surrounded it, crushing, suffocating. The creature was, in fact, Drake. He stood, water falling everywhere about him, dripping onto the soaked shore. Within only ten or so feet stood a centaur, a child-like female, and an animalistic being. He shook his head quickly, throwing water about himself. No shirt adorned his body, his dark green pants unusually blackened, his wrists clad in only iron shackles. Sandals in his left hand, a short blade of Akaviri origin in his right, he stepped over to the crowd. A dark, deep voice growled out of his silhouetted form.
"'Scuse me, but which one of you cast the "Flame's eclipse" spell? It's making the water unbearable..." He stared up through his scraggly wet hair, expecting a raised hand. Instead, an awkward silence.

Darius - September 21, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
A stark white tiger stalked along the shore in the pitch blackness of night. His enormous paws left large prints in the sand, his black eyes were a sharp contrast to his white, silky fur. Five black stripes ran along his back. His powerful muscles could be seen through his fur and skin as the flexed and released, propelling him across the beach. He decided that his favorite animal was the tiger. It was so graceful, so powerful, so cunning. A tiger could tackle a gazelle, slalom through trees, or outsmart a hunter. He felt that a tiger fit him almost perfectly. In fact, if he could have chosen one animal to permenantly become, it would be a tiger. Thankfully, though, he wasn't limited to stalking across the world. If he really wanted to, he could sprout wings and fly away in the form of a hawk or a falcon. But he really didn't want to.

He contemplated all this, and almost didn't notice the small band of travellers up ahead of him. By the looks of it, there were two humans, a lupine, and a centaur. An odd group of companions to be sure, but they looked nice enough. He almost barfed. Nice was bad. Very very bad. But he wouldn't let them know that he felt that way. He was cunning enough to pretend that he was something he wasn't. He had certainly done it enough times. In fact, just the week before he had earned the trust of the mayor of a nearby town. The result? There isn't a town there anymore.

Darius decided to remain a tiger. They always did say that first impressions lasted the longest. So, still a tiger, with no resemblence to a human whatsoever, he padded up to the group. He let out a low growl, not meant to be menacing, but he wasn't completely sure what effect it would have on the group. He meant it to be more of a greeting, and he normally had the effect he wanted on people, but he hadn't had much practice as a tiger.

Archangel Drake - September 21, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
A tiny yet fearsome growl let out from nearby. Drake turned his head to see a white tiger, glorious and graceful in its stance, sitting off to his right along the shore. Drake was not a genius, but he understood basic concepts that people usually forgot when they reached a certain age. At once, he pointed his sword slowly but threateningly towards the beast.
"Was it you, demon?" A silence. Surely, the others thought him insane. A tiger casting such a spell? Creating a sentient being to float back and ascend high into the air, then eclipse the moon? But it didn't matter to Drake, and he would not be thought of distastefully.
"I know what you are... Not only are tigers not native to this land, but we are not near a mountain summit... your white fur gave you away, I'm afraid."
Drake was not a genius, but...
(OOC: Sorry for the short post, and I'm trying to keep Drake at a low level of power right now. Seriously, I would've thought something around the lines of "demon" in real life...)

Rand - September 21, 2007 02:53 PM (GMT)
Rand looked around at the people around him surprised at the number. But before he could speak a tiger growled. The man who came from the water began stating the obvious. The tiger was not a real tiger but he doubted that it was a demon. "Will all of you give over that is no spell, i don't know what happened, and i don't think this is going to end nicely." Rand was still wondering himself what was going on then he thought if he was to find out these people would sure help. Remembering formalities he introduced himself "My apologizes i am Rand al'Thor. Don't ask me whats going on i was just walking when this 'man' shot out on the water the into the sky bursting to flames." He would not tell them about his dream he could not trust them and th tiger gave him a really weird feeling. "But would any of you happen to have any insight on what is going on?" Rand began pacing waiting for an answer and listening to the sounds of a strange reality. He began to wonder if this world was actually real and started questioning his chances of getting out of here alive.

(OOC sry for post size im in a hurry)

Darius - September 21, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
"Was it you, demon?" One of the humans addressed him. Demon? Not quite, but pretty darn close. Perhaps these were some of the smarter beings on the planet. People with any kind of brains or common sense were quite hard to find these days. He must have stumbled on one of the few groups of competant people in the world. Perhaps they could be of use to him. He wouldn't do anything in the way of offensiveness or evil... for now at least. They would never be able to tell what he had in mind. Unless, of course, they were as tapped into people's expressions and emotions as he was.

He decided to ramain a tiger for the moment, and see how these people reacted.

((OOC: Sooo sorry for the crap post. im just in a hurry and i started this post without realizing what time it was. Sorry!!))

Marget - September 22, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
Luces remained silent for the moment. He glanced between a small, female human, another male human, and the tiger. What on Arda has happened? He looked at the centuar, who finally spoke to be Rand al'Thor. He gave one sweet answer of "Luces." before turning back to the male human and the tiger. "I don't really think that is a demon. It's something else." He stared deeply into the tigers eyes and turned away. "It is a feline, after all."
