Nixie - September 18, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
Nixie sat on the edge of the pool of water made by the majestic water fall tracing patterns in the water with her fingers. She let sparks fly into the water lighting it up, making it seem like a glowing blue marble.

Nixie had traveld to the fountian in search of a wonderful creatures, of pure goodness, of white magic, a unicorn, one preferable of the water or air species. A stalion with magic beyond ones wildest dreams. She had been searching for them for a long time, they tend to be reather seculded creatures hidding from evil or anything near it.

While Nixie was pondering this she could feel hands on her back pushing her body into the pool of water at the base of the fall. Her legs fused together to create a beautiful light pink fin, with glittering pink scales. "Ta!" She shouted in mermish, she tends to speak mermish while in water, she struggled against the hands that found her delecate neck and began to close tighter and tighter....

Aluanta, the place Rye knew the most since his return to Arda. It was a very majestic place for an Angel to go, similar to the falling waterfalls in the lands of eternal life. He felt connected, as all holy beings did, to the water that rolled over the smooth rocks and the moss that grew on the rotting redwoods in the Aluanta. It was peaceful and evil rarely went there, but then there was that rare occasion it decided to go on a holiday.

The Angel was strolling along; the rocks warm beneath his bare feet and the smell of honey in the air when he saw someone sitting on the edge of a pool, the colour of the water changing with magic unknown to him. She was beautiful, her magnificent hair and slim figure catching the true essence of the Femininity. She hadn't seen Rye, the Beauties back facing towards the Angelic Scholar. Rye was curious to see her face, stretching his legs and trying his hardest to stay hidden.

"Move!"

Rye quickly moved to the side as a Nymph ran straight past him. It was small, about half the size of Rye while weighing the same as the Angels left leg. One thing was certain; the Nymph was a very fast runner. It bolted straight towards the woman sitting in the pool and shoved her into the marble colour of the magic water. What was that about?

She's a Merfolk.

Rye recognised her as being a princess of the sea, protector of water. Her long, sparkling legs immediately turned into a pink, scaly fin. She also said something in her own tongue, the Scholar slightly accustomed to the speech of magical beings. Mermish, the speech of Mermaids. It was a beautiful language and quite easy to decipher. The Angel thought that the Nymph was having a bit of fun, for he had met many that had cheeky natures about them. They laughed and played practical jokes on each other till the cows came home, and after that they continued to laugh in there sleep. However, this one decided to wrap her long fingers around the Mermaids neck, squeezing as tight as she could, obviously aiming to end the life of the poor girl.

Rye didn't waste a second, running as fast as he could towards the Nymph, pulling the creature off her slender neck with ease. It writhed and fought, shouting atrocities as the Angel tried to restrain the wild thing. He slowly figured out what she was saying, the magical being repeating the same phrase over and over.

"Se dop me Lorda!"

Or

"She entered my domain!"

The Scholar was slowly figuring out what was going on. He remembered reading a book that talked about the Oread and how they felt the presence of another magical being once it entered her domain, the place she has vowed to protect. This one was obviously quite young, and would probably have trouble killing an ant.

"Calm down, she's not here to hurt anyone."

Rye forgot that the Oread couldn't understand a word he said, but he didn't know the speech of the Aluantan Oreads. He didn't even know there were Oreads in Aluanta, seeing them only in the Erod Annon. As she calmed down, the Angel loosened his grip. This was a mistake, for it took the opportunity to make a quick escape, back the way it came. Rye didn't even have a chance to do anything about it, but he was glad the thing was gone. Its rough skin has rubbed against his arms and it wasn't the most comfortable, in comparison to grabbing a rough rock and rubbing it up and down your arm as hard as you could.

"Are you alright? That thing could have killed you."

The Angel smiled, enjoying he fact that he was beginning to be able to attempt a joke. He was healing, his intelligent mind helping the process along at an alarming speed. He was remembering his old self, how he used to be before the change. A thought came into his mind, one that didn't occur to him before. What if the little Oread brings someone from his clan? An experienced Oread can be deadly with earth based magics, rumours say that they can make mountains topple and rockslides happen with a click of there fingers. If that happened, the Angel didn't plan to stay for long.

Nixie - September 18, 2007 09:25 PM (GMT)
Nixie pulled her body up onto the ground and lay trying to control her breathing. It felt as if her hands were knifes cutting into her skin. Surly some kind of mark would have been left, a cut, a burn, something. Nixies wet dark brown hair framed her face. Her legs still shone as if they had a scale like quality. After a minute or two Nixie could sucsessfully breath regularly again, she then realized that a man with wings seemed to be standing above her.

Nixie took a deep breath before speaking. "Musa fan ha Sesmuna." She said her voice letting out the elegant mermish tounge, she shook her head quickly for a moment remembering she was on land and spoke again. "She is no freind of mermaids. Thank you, for the help." She said sitting up and smiling.

Nixie used her light abilites to burn a symbol in the ground infront of her, a circle with a X through it, to warn other mermaids that this place is not safe.

For the first time she took a look at the man by her, he was very handsom indeed, she couldnt help but smile. "I'm Nixie." She said easing her body slowly back into the water, she needed some comfort right now, her legs again fused into a pink tail, but she stayed with her elbows proped upon shore looking at him.

The Mermaid hurled herself out of the water, breathing heavily while feeling some sort of pain in her neck. She didn't notice Rye standing above her, too exhausted to even recognise the tall Angel. He stood there, looking at the beautiful creature that came here from the depths of the sea. She had a pair of glimmering, long legs which was strange for a Mermaid. They didn't normally have legs, so these were either magically bound or she was a half-breed. Her hair was covering her face, but Rye couldn't help but look at her chest. He looked up as she suddenly realised the Angel was there, caught while looking at something he shouldn't have been. She took a deep breath and spoke in Mermish, quickly translating the sentence into Adunaic for Ryes own sake.

"She is no friend of mermaids. Thank you, for the help."

Her accent was elegant and sexy, but Rye couldn't keep looking at her in that way. It wasn't everyday you met a beautiful Mermaid sitting at the edge of a pool of water and thanking you for help, but he was an Angelic being who shouldn't have lustrous feelings. So he decided to stop the nonsense and act how people his own age and his own race would act. She drew a magic 'X' in the dirt beside her, which Rye knew was a sign of warning and looked up at Rye. She couldn't help but smiling as she saw his tall, muscular figure and the large wings attached to his back. He was also a symbol of beauty to the opposite sex, given this body as a reward for his past life experience.

"I'm Nixie."

She eased back into the water, her legs fusing back into a pink tail as she kept her green eyes on Rye. She propped her elbows back on land and looked up at Rye, her beautiful eyes like glimmering emeralds staring back at him.

"I'm Nofurye."

He smiled aswell, looking back at her as he tried to think of something else to say. He found nothing, so waited for her to start a conversation. His long silver hair blew in the wind, tied up with a piece of vine rope and the only thing he wore was his tattered robe that hung down, revealing his upper body. His wings were folded and his green eyes were the same colour as Nixies. He was handsome for the first time in 500 years.

Nixie - September 20, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
Nixie looked at the man with great intreset, her eyes were green like her own, a green with a kind of fire in them that intrigued her. His wings were a beauty all on their own, they looked soft, but strong, she wanted to feel how soft they were, she kept from reaching out her long elegent hand to touch, but she held back. He doesnt have a bad body either. Nixie thought to herself.

Nixie wondered if his mind could be open to the spell of a mermaids song, but she decided against trying. Her songs often made whatever she sang about come true if they didnt already relate to her life.

He was crouching down to be almost to her level, she smiled a brilliant smile. Her green eyes glittered and her fin shone. "I must thank you again for helping me, and because you did. You may touch my fin." She said bringing part of her fin out of the water to a place he could reach, a non mermaid being able to touch a mermaids fin was a major honor, and she felt that he deserved it, her pink fin shone in the light casting colors beyond anyones imagination.

"I must thank you again for helping me, and because you did. You may touch my fin."

Nixie smiled, her face glowing in the midday sun. Nofurye was crouching beside the pool; looking at her a she said this. It was as if he was caught in a trance and couldn't get out, her beauty too much to let go. She was asking him to touch her fin, but Rye didn't know what for. He was guessing by her request that it was some kind of honour to touch the fin of a mermaid, but Rye figured it was just like the touch of a salmon or trout. He reached out his hand, the fin resting on the shore and touched it. It was a brilliant feeling; the translucent fin felt like silk, a feeling of intense joy came through his fingers and ran through his bloodstream. It was a magical experience, one that he would remember for a long time. He felt and immediate honour for being accepted to touch this Mermaids fin, although it seemed quite silly beforehand. He couldn't bring himself to take his fingers from the wet surface, so he looked up and spoke.

"This is...amazing! I will take this honour with me for the rest of my life. I can't let go."

He smiled as she smiled, an immediate connection flowing between the two holy souls. He thought for a second that she was getting pleasure out of this experience, but quickly rebuked the thought as he lifted his hand after seconds of silence. She had given him hope, a mirror into the future. She was amazing.

(OOC: Sorry about the short post. I should be posting longer considering I'm an ARPer but I thought that I'll give you the chance to move the story along, some practice maybe ^_^ )

Nixie - September 23, 2007 10:48 PM (GMT)
Nixie had not felt the touch of human skin and warmth on her fin in so long it felt amazing, like a ray of sun shinning on her fin but at the same time touching it, it wasnt exactly a new feeling to her, but it had been a long time. The touch sent a shiver down her spine.

"This is...amazing! I will take this honour with me for the rest of my life. I can't let go."

Nixie chuckled, thats how most people told her it was like, but they had to let go sometime, they couldnt stay their forever. "I'm sorry but you must." She gently and slowly let her fin fall back into the cold water. Her fin sent rainbows of color cascading through the pool of water and across the falls, the sun would soon be coming up. Colors of pink and purple, oranges and yellows would be cast across the sky, Nixie smiled kindly. "What brings you here to the falls?" She asked, she had indeed been here on a mission of her own.
