Nixie hovered in the water for a moment preparing herself for the jumps and twirls she would preform, she loved the water and doing water tricks, and her fin made it only a milliion times easier. Her darkbrown hair with blue highlights framed her face in the water, she wore a skin tone shirt made out of coral and sea grass the best fabric in the under water world.

Nixie gave a few hard flips of her fin and her body was sent rocketing through the water, as she broke the surface she let light sparks flow from her fingers giving the effect of her tail leaving glitter in its trail, she did a ariel then hit the water again and smiled, she loved doing stuff like this, she was fairly close the the ocean and any land walker could watch her. But she didnt mind.

After a while of jumping tricks she began to tire, she saw a fairly large rock by the beach and pulled her body up on it, basking in the sun, the suns rays glowing on her light skin, making her light pink fin sparkle.

Arthur was walking along the beach to get himself calm from a hard days hunt. He knew shadowspawn had been on the run from for several days, and he almost had them, but then they slipped away from him. He had gotten severly angery from it as shadowspawn rarely escaped him and when they did he knew it was not his fault. Still though he could not help feeling angery at himself. He continued to walk along the beach and heard splashing from the water and looked out to see a beautiful mermaid doing tricks in the water and Arthur smiled.

It was entertaining watchign her and he felt a bit entranced by it as he watched. Soon he forgot his anger and jsut watched the mermaid do her tricks. When she stopped obviosuly tired Arthur just smiled happy that his anger had disapated by her entertainment. He walked toward the rock where she was resting and made sure to de transform to his human form. He looked in a pool of water and saw that the only thign that wasn't human of his human form was his slited dragon like pupils and his ears which were slightly tapered. It did not matter anyway.

He then said to the mermaid," A nice show dear lady it calmed me from my despair, a beautiful display and one rarely seen especially for me".

Ah, the beach. It was so beautiful, so peaceful, so... utterly disgusting. Darius had to exercise all of his self control to prevent from recycling his lunch. Everybody was always so happy at the beach, and frankly, it made him sick to shis stomach, hence him almost performing a multi-colored yawn all over the ground. He looked over the edge of a hill at the scene below him. A mermaid and a man seemed to be conversing with each other. The mermaid was laying upon a rock, and the man was standing close by. He smiled a little to himself. Normally, he would have charged down there, raining black death upon all in his path. Fortunately for them, he wasn't in a very destructive mood at that moment. He was feeling more in the mood for mental and verbal warfare than he was for physical battle. So, he decided he would join them. It would be fun, and it would help him train. It would take all of his concentration not to throw up while in the presence of such a happy scene.

Darius slowly morphed into a snow-white falcon. As soon as he was fully morphed, he hopped off the edge of the hill and soared through the air towards the shore. He circled around the two below him for a while, before deciding to join them. He divebombed the man, aiming straight at his head. At the last second, he pulled up and flew over the top of his head. Darius then circled back and swooped low over the mermaid. After his second pass, he landed a bit away from the two and morphed back into his normal, human-looking form. His white hair flowed from the top of his head, and his black eyes shone in the glare from the sunlight. He stood at an imposing 6'7" with a large, muscular build. He wore a smirk upon his lips.

"I didn't know that you mer-scum were allowed to date normal landwalkers," Darius said, mockingly. "Won't your mer-daddy be angry?"

Nixie smiled at the first man that came, she loved compnay. "Thank you for the complement, I am glad you enjoyed my little preformance, allthough I was unaware you were watching." She said laughing a litte.

A white hawk came swooping down nearly hitting her in the head, out of instict she jumped back into the water and came back to the surface, when she was back up the hawk had turned into very tall man, he stood looming before her smirking like he was the king of the ocean. Then an insult left his lips. "I didn't know that you mer-scum were allowed to date normal landwalkers," Darius said, mockingly. "Won't your mer-daddy be angry?"

Nixie scowled and flaped her fin spraying water everywhere. "How dare you say that to me, our kind has never hurt yours, you have no reason to refer to me as scum, and I can datet whoever I want." She said looking angry, her dark brown hair fell over her shoulders and her green eyes blazed.

Darius smiled at the mermaid's reaction to his insult. He loved messing with people's minds. For some reason, it was quite an enjoyable pasttime of his. He reguarded it as training in its own way. It just trained the mind rather than the body. In his opinion, sharpness of mind was as important as the sharpness of any sword.

The mermaid had replied angrily to his statement.

"How dare you say that to me, our kind has never hurt yours, you have no reason to refer to me as scum, and I can datet whoever I want."

"Ohhh, a rebel," Darius replied. "You're a feisty one aren't you? But I believe I will answer your question. I believe you asked me what reason I had to call you scum? Let me tell you somethin' sweetie: it ain't mean if it's true. And the gods know that it's true. Hell, everybody knows that it's true. Mer people think that they are superior to us landwalkers in every way, when the truth is, they are inferior."

Darius was quite pleased with himself up to this point. He though the was playing his part quite nicely so far. Now to see how she reacts to an insulting truth reguarding her race.

"Do you even know why your people live under the sea? Hmm? It's because they are too cowardly to deal with the rigors of life on the land. Your people fled to the ocean when times got tough, and left everybody else to fend for themselves." Darius spit upon the ground near the mermaid. "And you mer people wonder why we hate you so much. Disgusting.

Darius wore a look of utter disdain upon his face, but inwardly he was smiling. He was elated at this meeting so far. No need for physical warfare yet. He was sure that the man would say or do something to provoke a battle. And if that time came, so be it. But until then, Darius had no desire to do battle. He would rather cause this mermaid as much distress as he possibly could. Why? Because it was fun.

Kiesu walked along the ocean bech. His day was peaceful and the sky was beautiful. The cool ocean breeze swept across his face, and there was not a being in sight. His hood was down, and several clouds blotted the sky like paint, the waves swept along the beach gentley. Morphine sat on Kiesu's shoulder, humming a slight tune. Yes, the day was perfect, but Kiesu did not enjoy it. He did not enjoy it because he knew that this was too good to be true. he could not enjoy something if it could not even last the entire day.

He brought up his hood and sighed, Morphine looking at him in confusion as she stopped briefley to ponder what was wrong with him for a moment. She began to hum a differant tune and Kiesu slipped his arms into his cloak to ready his weapons in case somebody attempted to attack.

He stopped when he saw a being on the beach arguing with a mermaid. Kiesu let out a growl and then a sigh as he quietley approached the land being's back. He stopped and wrapped his arms tightly around the being until he was sure he could not move. "Can you two please not turn this day bad?!" Kiesu shouted, his hood covering his face. "I was planning on this being a good day, and then I happen across two beings who have to fight because one has to be a jerk!" Kiesu was making a guess at this and did not loosen up his grip, he barley allowed the man he was holding to breath, but he still did.

"Now resolve your differances peacefully before I have to get involved...!" Kiesu looked for a moment before continuing. "Besides, you should be grateful that you can be accepted by mass populace, be it underwater or on land! At least you can go somewhere without having to hide what you are!"

Arthur almost drew his sword when the bird transformed into a man and he looked at him angerly but he didn't say anything. He let the two argue and just watched silently. Ofcourse that was until Kiesu came along and he thought," Oh great this day is just getting better and better". He listened to all three and finally spoke up by saying," Kiesu is right at least yallk two are accepted in society however me and Kiesu were outcasts so yall should not argue".

He then smiled at omethign said earlier and he replied," A mermaid dating me now thats a thought that never occured to me, but it can't happen sorry to dissapoint you human, but your not dealing with someone accepted in most societies". HE turned to Kiesu and said," kiesu let the man go, he is no harm to your or and I am sure we could handle him with our hands tied behind our back".

He knew his friend would recognize him even without his dragon form so he would the situation was well in hand and he then turned back to the mermaid and said," Its alright dear lady this man won't hurt you nor will any of us, you have my word as Arthur Paendrag Tanreall the Legendary Ex-Evil Dragonslayer".

Nixie’s face showed horror. She jumped of the rock into the water and pulled herself onto the beach. The sun dried her pink fin, and two legs began to form where the tail was before, though her legs still had a shiny glittery quality about them. “You are mistaken, we did not flee, we found more than one way to live, another way of survival, we can live in water or land, when it is you however that can only survive the land, not the harsh consequences the water has. We do not feel land walkers inferior.”
Another land walker came to the crowd, obviously drawn in by the argument she and the man were having, he seemed very upset. She looked at him with a worried face when he began to shout. Can you two please not turn this day bad?! I was planning on this being a good day, and then I happen across two beings who have to fight because one has to be a jerk "Now resolve your differences peacefully before I have to get involved. Besides, you should be grateful that you can be accepted by mass populace, be it underwater or on land! At least you can go somewhere without having to hide what you are!" Nixie raised her eye brows for a moment or two, he did have a point, but it wasn’t her who started it. It was him and she couldn’t just sit back and let him insult her like that.

Nixie smiled gently at the man who told her no one would hurt her, it was not that that she was worried about, she could defend herself, he simply made her mad. Many people misjudged the merfolk and their way of life, and it made her mad, they had never done anything to hurt the land walkers. “Thank you for your word Arthur.” She said. Then she turned to the man who had started the argument and smiled. “I am feisty.”

Kiesu let the man go when he finally noticed Arthur. He groaned a bit as he rubbed his forhead underneath the cloak. "Hey Arthur." He said, slightly annoyed with both himself and the two beings whom were fighting. "I knew this day was too perfect to be true, and latley I've been in a series of bad moods." Kiesu said this as he watched the man he was holding. "So what brings you here on this wonderfully wretched day?" Kiesu chuckled as he watched the mermaid's fin turn into legs.

Darius smiled when the man came up behind him to grab him. He had quite a few options at this point. A well placed kick would drop this man to his knees. He could also haph shape-shifted and slipped out of this man's grasp. His final option, and the oen he took, was to just stand there, perfectly calm, until the man behind him decided to release him.

"Can you two please not turn this day bad?! I was planning on this being a good day, and then I happen across two beings who have to fight because one has to be a jerk! Now resolve your differances peacefully before I have to get involved...! Besides, you should be grateful that you can be accepted by mass populace, be it underwater or on land! At least you can go somewhere without having to hide what you are!"

The shapeshifter was quite amused at this little rant. Especially the part about him getting involved.

Scoffing, Darius said, "How exactly do you plan on 'getting involved?' Do you think I'm afraid of you? It's such a shame that even your kind seem to be infected by stupidity. I would expect it from the mermaid, but not from two such as yourselves." Darius indicated the two men.

The man who had reached the mermaid before himself then spoke.

"Its alright dear lady this man won't hurt you nor will any of us, you have my word as Arthur Paendrag Tanreall the Legendary Ex-Evil Dragonslayer".

"Speak for yourself," Darius responded with a malicious grin, as he took a menacing step towards the mermaid. He actually had no interest in hurting any of them. Not physically anyway. This newcomer deterred him from a physical course of action even more. He may have been evil, but he wasn't stupid. He knew a three on one would not fair well for him, so he decided to be obnoxious, but not too threatening for the moment. He was determined to keep a cool head, at least on till the odds against him were not so great.

Arthur was about to reply to Keisu when the man spoke. Arthru listened but held up his hand as the man moved forward. He said," Whoa there human, take one step closer or you will end up on the ground trying to get back your breath". He was slightly annoyed at the man, but he would not let himself be angered by him. He knew the man was goan play it smart with three opponents but what the man did not know was that he was dealign with a half-dragon and a half-demon. He then said," Better watch yourself human, you already have two strikes against you, you have offened the lady and mad Kiesu made, so better watch it".

He then turned to Kiesu and said," Why am I here, the same reason I am having a bad day, some shadowspawn I was huntign got away from me and well I got nagery, so I came here to clam down, and well I saw her and my day went from bad to good and then this guy shows up and plans to make my good day go to bad again and then possibly worse, so hopefully he won't be stupid and make my day go worse".

"Whoa there human, take one step closer or you will end up on the ground trying to get back your breath."

A smirk played upon Darius's lips. These men really had no idea what he could do, did they? He would show them, but not just yet. If this man got in his way again, he would have no choice. He had the perfect animal to take care of these three.

"Better watch yourself human, you already have two strikes against you, you have offened the lady and mad Kiesu made, so better watch it."

"And what exactly could you do against, oh... say, a bear?" Darius's smirk grew a little wider. "Or a manmonth? How could you possibly defend yourself?"

Darius had a plan. He would draw out these three's powers, and assess the situation. Of course, his motive would not be revealed to anybody who wasn't specialized in reading people.

Darius began to pay attention to the two men when one mentioned shadowspawn. So at least one of them was a hunter. No doubt he would know how to follow a trail. If worse came to worst, and Darius had to run, leaving a trail wouldn't be a problem.

"Why am I here, the same reason I am having a bad day, some shadowspawn I was huntign got away from me and well I got nagery, so I came here to clam down, and well I saw her and my day went from bad to good and then this guy shows up and plans to make my good day go to bad again and then possibly worse, so hopefully he won't be stupid and make my day go worse."

Darius deeply wanted to attack, and completely decimate this man, but perhaps it was good that he underestimated the Shapeshifter. It would give him an advantage if it came down to a battle.

"So, what, may I ask, are you all planning to do? Now that we are all here together, and seem to have settled out differences - momentarily at least - it seems we may as well travel together. I promise that I'll try not to bite." Darius added a slightly disturbing sharp toothed grin at the end of this sentence.

Travel together? The idea seemed ridiculous. We would be at each others throats the whole time!! She thought to herself, then she smiled. This could be fabulous. Nixie shifted her weight to the other hip, tossed her still wet hair and smiled. “Its not him you two should be worried about biting.” She said. “We should all introduce ourselves properly, I’m nixie, obviously a mermaid, and you?” She asked referring to the man who started the fight.

Where they would travel and when was a mystery to her, but the idea of a group of such different people together traveling, it seemed brilliant, surly adventure or at the very least entertainment would introduce itself.

Arthur only laughed at what the man and the mermaid said. He smiled at them and said," You can travel with them if you wish, but as for me I am not goign anywhere, and as to biting I think you should be mroe worried about me and Kiesu than yall two". He flashed a smile and then said to the girl," As I said I am Arthur Paendrag Tanreall the Famous Ex-Evil Dragon Slayer and as to what I am, I am neaither man nor monster but a mixture of both, I am evils worst nightmare".

He hten replied to somethign the man had said before," I have defended my self from over 380 evil dragons and succeded in killing all of them, I can defend myself from a tiny bear or even a big mammoth,they are nothing compared to my power".

Darius had to try incredibly hard not to burst out laughing at what the man thought was an impressive account of his achievements.

"As I said I am Arthur Paendrag Tanreall the Famous Ex-Evil Dragon Slayer and as to what I am, I am neaither man nor monster but a mixture of both, I am evils worst nightmare."

"More like a mirror's worste nightmare," Darius interjeced.

"I have defended my self from over 380 evil dragons and succeded in killing all of them, I can defend myself from a tiny bear or even a big mammoth,they are nothing compared to my power."

"Really? 380? So you caused 760 eyes to go blind? Sheesh, I'm having trouble looking at you myself, and I've seen some pretty disgusting things in my travels."

Darius smirked a bit. He knew he must be angering the man. It was just too hard to resist when somebody made such an idiot of themself.

"Sooo, what exactly is your power?" Darius asked. "Are you especially skilled with a blade? Do you use magic? Or do you just petrify people by looking at them?"

He turned to the mermaid. "And as for you, madam. I dare you to bring your teeth anywhere near me." He gave her a devilish smile.

Kiesu growled a bit as the man kept up with the annoying coments. Kiesu finally had enough and he brought his leg around to the small of the man's bacl to try and kick him over into the waters. "Shut up please!" Kiesu shouted as his leg connected with the man's back. He was careful to not put any true strength into the kick so as to not kill the man, no matter how annoying he was.

e turned to Arthur and sighed. "Do you knoww this buffoon?" Kiesu asked Arthur with an annoyed tone. He looked over to the mermaid and sighed a bit in annoyance as he turned his attention back to the man.

"Shut up please!"

Nixie watched as Darius fell to the water, the water splashed arround his body soaking his clothes. Nixie smiled and nodded a few times at Kiesu because she found it rather funny. "Niiicceee."

Nixie turned to Arthur. "You kills dragons eh? Seems we have a slightly different apporach with the creatures." She had been studying dragons for a long time and had gained the respect of several and still lived to say so. She only killed dragons if need be, she could ususally either swim/run away or calm them down somehow, it was a last resort.

Nixie walked over to Darius who lay in the water and sand, the water crystal blue, his clothes now a darkershade than they had been originally. Nixie walked close up to his ear and breathed her response to his earlier comment. She was sure he could feel her cold breath on his skin. "That doesnt sound like such a bad idea." She placed a delecate hand on his chest and gently pushed him back into the water.

(Yall realize, yall both just power played, or was it god moded)

Arthur laughed at the man when he was kicked into the water and he looked ast Kiesu and said," Nice I should have done that earlier, and no I don't know him, if I did he would not try to be insulting me". Arthur was use to insults so he did not take what the man said to heart. As Arthurs mother use to say," Do unto others as you would have them dp unto you". He just paid no attention to the man it woulf take more than that to anger him.

He then said some thing to the mermaid," Evil dragons dear lady, the worst kind there is, I never killed a good or neutral one, I promised I would never kill a good or neautral one, its the evil ones that need to be slain, I have several dragon friends, but the evil ones are my enemies, a group of 200 captured and almost murdered my father, and because of that all those 200 fell by my hands, my father is still alive thank the Light".

He then turned to the man in the water and said," My power if you must know is a Spell Warrior, I am a Spell Warrior, I excel in both magic and physical combat, so I am a formidable opponent".

((OOC: Yea... you both just god modded my character. I'm gonna let it slide this time, but just make sure you don't write what happens to me anymore. I'll take care of that.))

Laying in the water, Darius looked calmly at the three in front of him. He even actually smiled. So that on is a hothead, Darius noted about the one who kicked him. The girl seems to have about fifty personalities, and the other one seems rather level headed. Quite the diverse group indeed.

Slowly, the shapeshifter rose out of the water. He walked towards the three again, but stopped when he came to the one who had kicked him. Darius morphed into an enormous black bear and swung his massive claw inches from the man's face.

"If you ever touch me again," Darius said, "I'll make sure my claw doesn't miss you."

Retracting from the man, Darius reassumed his human appearance. He turned to the dragonslayer and reguarded him thoughtfully.

"A master of magic and blade? That is truely a rare thing to find nowadays. We shall have to test out your claim, but at another time. I have no desire to fight as of now. But don't fret. I'll let you know when I'm ready." Smiling a devilish smile, Darius fell silent, allowing the others to do what they wished.

Arthur was not suprised the the man was a shapeshifter he had sensed a deeper power to the man. He smiled and thought," Well this should be interesting". He then said to the man," Not all that rare, I have met at least 5 others like myself in my life, 2 of them elves, 3 humans, and one the chosen of Life". He was not lying on that and if the man ever did challenge him he would find that Arthur was more than could be bargained for in a fight.

He then smiled again and said," Your close to striek three my fine fellow, don't threaten my friend if you please, I don't like it". He chuckled a bit and then looked at Kiesu and said," So where were you thinking of heading Kiesu" ?

Kiesu stood there, his body felt hot with slight anger as he watched the man stand up and change into a humongous black bear and swipe his claws an inch away from Kiesu who continued to stand still. Kiesu had been injured worse than a swipe from a massive black bear and the shape shifter did not frighten him.
"If you ever touch me again, I'll make sure my claw doesn't miss you." The shape shifter said.

Kiesu shook his head in disbelief and slight pity for the shape shifter. He chuckled a bit before thinking of what to say to this shape shifter before Arthur cut in. "Your close to strike three my fine fellow, don't threaten my friend if you please, I don't like it." Kiesu chuckled a bit more. "Nah, take away that strike Arthur. I provoked him with that kick and the following humiliation." Kiesu chuckled a bit as he quickley said "Sorry for kicking you in the back when you were being annoying."

He paused for a moment and quickly said something before anybody else had the chance to. "Usually I'm a really nice guy who doesn't prefer getting into fights, so today is quite unusual for me." He chuckled a bit as the final bit of his anger left his body.

Nixie smiled gently at Arthur. "Evil dragons dear lady, the worst kind there is, I never killed a good or neutral one, I promised I would never kill a good or neautral one, its the evil ones that need to be slain, I have several dragon friends, but the evil ones are my enemies, a group of 200 captured and almost murdered my father, and because of that all those 200 fell by my hands, my father is still alive thank the Light". Nixie nodded in understanding, she only had the respect dragons supporting the light side of the war. "I understand, though I never have slayed an evil dragon myself I have seen them."

Nixie watched as suddinly Darius became a large back bear. Nixie took a couple steps backward nearly running into Arthur. Her green eyes became wide and she raised her eye brows, she was scared yet facinated. When he was his normal self nixie smirked. "Smooth."

"Usually I'm a really nice guy who doesn't prefer getting into fights, so today is quite unusual for me." Nixie chuckled at Kiesu's comment. He seemed like he was about ready to punch Darius. Infact both the guys were, but she was having a little fun, will all of them, it was becoming rather interesting.

The strain of being out of the water for too long began to weigh on her legs and she sat in the shallow part of the beach and let her fin form once again, rainbows shined off her pink fin.

Darius looked at Kiesu, guaging what he said, and how to react briefly. Darius had a good idea at who these three were. The man, Arthur, seemed like the typical self-rightous destroyer of evil. The Shapeshifter almost felt sorry for him and his dillusions. There was no good or evil. It was all a matter of perspective... to a point. Darius was seen as evil by many becuase of his love of manipulation and his ability to hold power over others. Though, kings do the same exact thing. They are allowed to commit these acts, though, because they have an army behind them. They use their manipulative powers to plant lies about how noble they are. In truth, everybody is the same, save a select few. Everybody holds malice, everybody holds kindness. Some just hide one or the other, for one reason or another. Darius was not often kind becuase he did not feel like he owed it to anybody to be kind to them, save those who he could gain from being kind to. One thing, one could call it a noble atribute, about Darius was that he always repaid a favor. If one committed an act towards him, he returned the act, whether it be a harmful, or a helpful act. Aside from that, he took care of himself and nobody else.

On to the other man, the one who kicked him in the back. He was a hothead at heart, Darius was sure. He seemed to try to cover it up with a false "I'm a nice guy" front. He seemed to be able to be angered easliy. Darius decided that he would have to test those depths later.

Over to the mermaid. She was a funny one. She seemed to associate with whoever was "winning" whatever the current situation happened to be. She was a frontrunner. Or a peacemaker. He hadn't decided yet. She seemed friendly enough. Sadly, amiability was not what kept one alive in the world. Cunning, strength, quick thinking, those were what kept people breathing stably.

These thoughts sped through the Shapeshifters mind in a matter of about two seconds. He then spoke.

"Well, I have yet to see this 'nice guy,'" Darius said to Kiesu. "Perhaps I shall see it sometime soon. That is, if you can control your anger long enough." Darius turned to Arthur. "So, you have never killed a neutral dragon? Pray, tell me why. For in my time on this planet, neutral beings are just as distrustful as evil beings, perhaps even moreso. At least with the bad eggs, you know what to expect from them. With a neutral figure, they can go either way. One minute they can be your friend, and the next, they take out a knife and run it through your spinal cord. Personally, I would rather associate myself with those who I can predict. It just makes life so much easier."
