Blaez sat under a small tree, staring out at the ocean. Occasionally, he looked down and drew what he saw, a calm sea, not a wave. He watched the sunset and added some hazy clouds, and started to drift away himself...

Raven sighed, walking slowly, keeping an eye on the ocean view in front of her. She smiled slightly, feeling the breeze. A ship was already pulling out of the harbor. She sighed, staring at the calm sea. Slowly, she turned around. A silver haired man was seated underneath a tree, asleep. In his hand was a drawing book. He was probably drawing the ocean.

Her mind turned to something someone in the city had told her. Night was now falling and it wasn't safe to stay out of the city after dark. She sighed.

I should probably wake him up... she thought, walking over to him. She shook him awake.

"Hey, it's not safe to stay out here at night," she said, "There's bandits, and...other stuff around here."

"Huh... wha...?" He said as he slowly awoke. "Bandits? On a beach?" He yawned while speaking. "Well, thanks." He said, standing up. "I'm Blaez."

"I'm Raven," she said, "Nice drawing, by the way. And I was just repeating what some senile old lady told me when I left the city."

"Heh..." He smiled. "Nice to meet you, Raven." He looked over her shoulder at the moon, now above the sea. "Nice night..."

"A nice night may turn ugly very quickly in a time like this." Silnimare said as he stepped out of the shadows in his half-dragon form. "A single moment may be the moment that changes destiny. But enough ramblings. I am Silnimare. What are your names, strangers?" He ruffled his wings a little as he spoke. I hope they mean no harm, Silnimare thought. He began to try to sense if there were any spirits surrounded the strangers. Perhaps their reply will reveal more about them.

"Whoa... where'd you come from?" He inquired, before answering. "If you were listening so well, you'd know my name is Blaez." He smiled. His eyes looked the man up and down.

"No one is all-knowing, Blaez. I merely heard your talking, and decided to get a closer look. I mean you no harm, and I hope the same is true with you." His tongue flicked out as he began to study Blaez and the other in more detail.

"No, I mean no harm." He held his arms up. "I don't yet have a weapon, but I'm saving my money for one." He put his arms down. "So, where do you hail from?"

"Nowhere do I have to rest at night, save where I can sleep unnoticed. My home is nowhere, so I call everywhere home. I hope my meaning is clear. Sometimes I get rather lost in my thoughts. To be plain, I have no home. Indeed, I wonder where I will, until a new home becomes mine." He said as he flicked his tongue out again. "You're a half-dragon aren't you?"

"What?" He said somewhat loud. "Actually... I don't really know what I am... I was orphaned..." He looked up. "Is there anyway to find out what I really am, that you know of?"

"hmm....I'm not quite sure. You seem to be one by your scent, but perhaps some of our kind cannot unlock their powers as easily. Indeed, my own strength is limited. For as you see me, a half-human, half-dragon monster, that is my curse. I can become dragon-like, but I cannot become a full dragon. I am forced to be satisfied with the human-dragon hybrid. But, to get back to you, I'm not sure how to help you. Perhaps we could journey together, so that you may learn your secrets, and I may have a companion. What do you say?"

"Sounds great." He spoke quickly. "But can you wait until I aquire my spear? I'm nearly there." He smiled.

(Sooooooooooooo close....))

"How much do you need, friend? I do not have much money, but perhaps I can help you to aquire some. Perhaps we could go to the Wilwarin inn? We could try to find someone to help your situation. What do you say? Obviously, I will return to human form beforehand, so you will see my true form if we go. But enough of my ceaseless mutterings. What do you say?"

"Only five more, but I can get that easily." He grinned. "I will order at the shop as soon as I get it, then, when the order is filled, We can leave."

"I shall wait for you at the inn. You may come along when your order is filled. I'll be sitting at a table, dressed in black. White hair, red eyes. Don't wait too long, though. I can't spend eternity in an inn. Well, I suppose I could, but that would be rather boring. Ah me, will I never be as laconic as wisdom dictates. See you at the inn, my friend Blaez. If you can't find it, ask someone. It's hard to miss. For now, farewell, and see you soon." He then pulled his wings against his back, and turned around and walked away.

"Well, off to the market I go." He said to himself after Silnimare left. "I finally have enough."

"Good for you," said Raven.

She looked down for a minute.

"You sure you can trust that half-dragon guy?" she asked.

((Heheh.))
"I hope..." He frowned slighty, looking back at Raven. "Well, would you like to come?"

"Well, sure," she said, "I don't have anything else to do."

He grinned and spoke softly. "Yay." He stood there and waited for her, brushing his hair back with his hand.

Raven looked around her, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

"Um, should we go?" she asked.

"Yeah." He laughed. He felt strange around this woman, as if he knew her, but he knew he couldn't.

"All right," said Raven, "Where to?"
