Title: Lead Boots

Josette - September 6, 2007 01:36 AM (GMT)
Mist veiled the skeliton branches, bearing down heavily making them sag. Crows flocked, swarming the sky like angry black wasps, their ceaseless screeching echoed and stung listening ears. Dark eyes leaked from the growing shadows, never missing a wandering target, there bearers making sure that each creature that passed got a good dose of uncomfort. Josette ambled, eyes focused up wards, as to watch the dance of misjudged birds. Her black wolf form got along easily with the mucky terrain and she effortlessly picked her way over mystery puddles and the corpses of the long deceased trees. She did her best to avoid dark patches of light, trying to stay out of unwanted companies way. Brown spots bloched her sleak coat and her fangs were only just slightly exposed, giving her an imposing air. She only just wanted to pass through this god-forsaken place and get on with it, but curiousity held her back. She like spooky things and this was about as creepy as you could get when it comes to out doors. A wolfish grin took over her canine lips and she plopped her but down, flume like tail swishing this way and that. Directions where hard when everything looked the same. The sun waved its half hearted good byes and the moon smiled hello. Josette got up and continued only to stop 5 minutes later by rustling to her right. She peered into the tangled brambles and waited.

Ciantor Silverthorn - September 6, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
(I hope this is okay,)

Ciantor was flying overhead the Misty Forest, peering down at the dense canopy below. It was dark out, the sun was dipping out of sight in the west. The beast master had decided that he should land, and as soon as an opening in the dense canopy came into view, he soared downward and landed. He began to walk, right after he folded his wings.

It was very muddy, and Ciantor's boots sunk in at certain places were he walked, forcing him to pull hard to release them. The trees was not the same to average nature here, they were more....... sinister. It was slightly humid, but no fog was present, but replaced by one thing. Shadows. The shadows in the swamp were dense, almost tangable.

The trees seemed to come forward, to claw at the avians wings. At many different occasions, Ciantor could of sworn that a tree had purposefully tripped him, or tapped him on the shoulder. The forest was different, that was sure. The atmosphere reeked of darkness, something mischievous. The air of the forest was rancid, and surprisingly suggestive.

It was as if the forest wanted him to commit evil, to feed its lust for murder, for the spilt blood to seep into its roots. This forest was evil. Ciantor began to worry. The many trees loomed forward, as if trying to hear a secret whisper, or maybe his thoughts. Fear crept up on Ciantor, his skin began to prickle. He picked up the pace, walking faster and faster.

He was getting VERY uncomfortable. Panic struck across his face as he thought he heard a noise behind him. Immediately, he burst into a sprint. He ran, not looking back, and a feeling of being hunted overcame him. He mustered the courage and turned back while continuing to run, only to see nothing, and crashing through trees in front of him.

He fell into the mud, his knees and hands beginning to sink. He picked himself up, and wiped himself clean, and then took a peek at his surroundings. There was a wolf, with dark fur and small dark spots along its sleek coat. Fear tensed up the avians body.

He was not natural, and it seemed as if Ciantor's bird instincts overcame him. 'This wolf is a predator, and I its prey,' Ciantor thought. Fear tensed his body, and terror struck him. He immediately called upon one of his powers of beast master. He sent a pulse of mana out of him, focusing his energy from a perfect forest inside of him. Normally, he would of tried to befriend the animal, but this forest was different, and changed him. Terror can wreck a man, and Ciantor turned to his instincts, naturally.

Birds scattered away from nearby trees. Ciantor had used Bestial Horror. Now animals perceive him as a massive, terrifying beast, and followed their first instinct, and ran. If this wolf was actually an animal, it would flee.

Jaina - September 6, 2007 12:08 PM (GMT)
Jaina has entered the swamps on her way to the temple of life but as she expected she got lost. After few hours of pointless walk in the swamps Jaina started to think that she is lost and that the way far out of reach. Then she sat on the ground and by some strange coincidance there was no mud on the place she sat. When Jaina was at the ground she removed the hood of her cloak and the cerfuly the warp around her eyes. She was hoping that when the warp is removed her sight will be back but it was not back she was still blind. Maybe it was due to the lost of her sight or some other reason she did not knew her other sences have sharpened. As she was sitting on the ground and staring into the nothing she heard a noise of a birds and Jaina quickly put back the warp around her head to cover her eyes. Then with her hand she felt a stone and since she needed a guide she inbuned it with life and thus animating it. After few seconds it grew two legs face with eyes nose and mouth but only one arm. "Leade me to the possition of the noise." She said to it and it grabed her dress and they both walked to the possition of the noise. WHen they were here the stone stopped and thus Jaina stopped and the little rock hid behind Jaina when it saw the wolf nad the winged man. Jaina could sense that there are presence there and could read the thoughts of a two persons. But something was not right with one of them they were more like instincts. After few moments Jaina asked "Hello? Is anybody here?" though she knew that here was somebody but she didnt knew their intentions she summoned her water elemental to protect her. when it appeared from the nothing she quietly said "Attack only if attacked." It was enough of a command to mean to defend Jaina and itself.

Josette - September 12, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
Josette felt double teamed. Her wolf self snarled defensivley, but her eyes danced with amusement. A walking rock and a "monster" boy followed by an inoccent enough looking girl. She shifted into her normal self, a enticing elf maiden, her golden curls bounced with stiffled laughter, her own unique giddy reaction to the situation. Her body language, however, was a bit....akward.....her muscles were tense and ready to spring but her face held a soft open expression. Hopefully the man would calm down, his "form" made the birds crow and her ears ached from the constant buzz. She turned so she was able to face them both, taking them in with curious green eyes.

((sorry it took so long))
