Samheil Layed by the lake, watching the sunlight shine off the lake. He enjoyed it's beauty. He liked water. He liked the feeling of it against his scales while he swam to catch fish and other aquatic life that might be his next meal. He sat up and stretched, yawning. He flared out his wings to get them ready, then pushed off the ground with his powerful wings. He rose high into the air, then flew swiftly and Fast towards the lake. He hit the water with a tremendous splash, and he hunted for fish. Not to far away, he spotted an enormous trout, and he shot for it, clamping it in his massive jaws. He turned his head, looking for his next catch.
After a while, he re-surfaced, and hopped back onto dry land. He shook himself dry, and fanned out his wings. Satisfied with his hunt, he layed down to sleep. Just as he drifted off to sleep, he heard someone in the brush, and he opened his eyes, growling and showing his massive teeth.. He was ready for whatever came out of the brush.

Amedylei had gotten lost. the small Gryph child was chasing a cricket and wandered off the path. She had been giggling and rhomping along the way. Running as fast as her legs would let her she pounced on the unsuspecting prey. Unfortunately for her, it disappeared into the brush. She had a pout upon her young face as she easily then forgot about her loss and began taking intrest to her tail. she ran in circles for sometime and stopped when she heard a gigantic SPLASH! Curious she peeped through the leaves. Amazed at what she found she gapped and her soft azure eyes went big with excitment. she saw the large dragon come up to shore with a fish in it's mouth, chewing it loudly it made her want to eat...
He looked satified and fed, she wished she could be. He then layed himself down to rest after fanning his wings. She hadn't eaten in days, Her stomach growling she decided to turn back. fumbling she stepped on a twig, breaking the soft silence.
The dragons head turned, It began to growl low and deep he barred his fangs. It heard her. But as a curious child she had very little understanding of the world, so out of deep intrest and curiousity she walked slowly out of the bush, her wings semi open ready to fly incase of danger. She did learn good and evil but did not judge upon looks of one. So she thought of the dragon as harmless as a mouse. Not knowing all too well that it was much stronger. She clicked her beak in a playful gesture and crouched looking up at the dragon wanting to play, anything not a foe was a friend to her. In a giggly voice the gryphon Fledgling asked, "Hiya! Whats your name? Mines Amedylei! Can you speak like Men? Do you understand me? Wow you're HUGE!" The little three foot Gryphon giggled again her head and eyes moving studying each aspect of the dragon. Ahh child innocence... compared to a human child she was about at their age of 6 or 7 having the impatient mind of one as well. She looked up at him straight in the eyes. A smile on her beak. Asking many pointless questions... "So do ya wanna be friends big guy?" she giggled childishly waiting for a response.

The Dragon watched the Griffon with great interest. It was very childish, and not very tall. Samaheil. That is my name. Said Samaheil Telepathicaly. He thought the griffon didn't speak Dragon, so he thought this was nessesary. So. you want to be friends eh? Well, answer me this: Are you on the Dark Side? He waited for an answer from the young griffon enthusiasticaly.
Amedylei - January 6, 2006 03:43 PM (GMT)
Amedylei continued to romp around. Jumping around this way and that. She was very hyper this evening and very hungry as well. She looked up at him not intimidated by his girth. She only smiled laughing and giggling. Staring at him she began to hear something within her mind. "Samaheil. That is my name" She looked Amazed. "So, you want to be friends eh? Well, answer me this: Are you on the Dark Side?" Standing upon her haunches her eyes were wide a dinner plates. Amedylei looked in awe. She shook her head a few times trying to respond. "Wow you can talk with your mind? My mother could do that, but she's gone now... al of my people are... whats a princess when you can't rule?" She giggled at her own joke... even if it wasn't a very good one.
She looked at him again. "Samaheil... doesn't that mean Midnight Raindrop or something?" She looked puzzlingly... "As for the dark side... whats that? I only know that my mother told me not to pic sides... she said that in order to be a good Princess I needed to be fair." she looked at him sadly "so I guess you don't want to be friends with me huh?"
Seeming that all her energy had faded her she slowly layed down infront of him putting her head between her claws.

It means midnight Rider. I was a Dragon who served under the Dragon riders. My rider and I had a relationship I will never forget. She was then killed in battle by an elf I do not know the name of. I despise the elves. They killed my family AND my rider! They will pay for what they did! He stood on his hind legs then fell on all four legs, making the Earth shake.

She was taken back, His yelling only frightend her. She layed closely to the ground ears down and tail under he legs. Why did he yell? And why did the elves kill? Amedylei didn't think that elves would kill, but She figured as much as this world was very complex.
Speaking out in a shakey voice she replied, "Why did they kill her? Was she pretty? Did you love her?" as little as she was, Amedylei knew the emotions of love, she didn't know what it was like personally but she understood the strong emotions and bonds. She still inquired. "so do you want to be friends?"

Yes. I apologize. He said as he calmed down. The elves have taken everything away from me that matters! Me and my rider were on a scout run for the Dark side when we were ambushed by Elven archers. My wings were badly hurt, so I was forced to land. When I did, the elves that shot us down ran to where I landed, and were ready to fight. My rider drew her sword and fought the elves, but there were too many. When she finally gave up from exhaustion, an elf commander appeared from out of the trees. He talked to her for a long while, then killed her right before my eyes. I was boiling with fury. None of the elves even had time to react. I killed them all easily, besides their commander. After that, I returned with her to the nearest town, and they buried her. After that, I was thirsty for revenge. I traveled to a nearby elf village, and destroyed it, leaving nothing but ruined buildings. I have been on a quest ever since to kill all the elves. I have been on the hunt for their commander for a long time now. And when I do meet him, he will learn a new meaning of pain! He thundered. I do not know how my parents died, but I know it was by the elves. My entire past is a mystery to me. He walked over to the griffon and said: I am the last of the first generation of Dragon's from the Dragon Riders. I need your help. Will you help me in avenging my Rider's and Parents' deaths? I beg you! I will train you on how to fight the elves.
Amedylei - January 6, 2006 09:11 PM (GMT)
Amedylei looked tward the ground remembering his words clearly in her head "I am the last of the first generation of Dragon's from the Dragon Riders. I need your help. Will you help me in avenging my Rider's and Parents' deaths? I beg you! I will train you on how to fight the elves." She looked at him with an confused look on her face, she couldn't choose sides and by killing the elves that would be taking sides... she had to think of an alternative.
She looked back a Samaheil with her two toned eyes. "Samaheil, I can't hurt anybody, it's wrong and I'm against doing it. I don't know how I could help you but I can try just as long as it requires not picking a side." She sighed heavily looking at the Large dragon infront of her. Maybe he would understand, she hoped so. Turning at him again she spoke with remorse in her voice. "I understand how you feel Samaheil, My parents and ALL of my people died... from a plague..." her voice trialed off as tears welled up in her eyes. She lowered her head not wanting to show her sadness. Her shoulders heaved as crystal droplets hit the dirt beneath her.
"I don't know what to do... I only know my mother told me to never pick a side, but to always stay in the middle so I can help both people." She was talking rapidly, sometimes choking on her words. "The most important thing she told me though was to never take another beings life... and I promised her I wouldn't." She turned away, in a trembling voice she whispered, " you probably think I'm weak don't you..."

I did not mean to offend you little one. All of a sudden, he felt as though a presence of good was around him. He looked at Aymedylei with a curious glance. He then roared. YOU ARE GOOD! He glared at her. You have gone against your word! Do you know what I do to people who do that?! He flared out his claws, showing all of them to her with his plam towards her.
