Title: A Duel At Death's Gate
Description: Private, Arthur Pendragon
Sargtlin Olath - August 28, 2007 06:53 PM (GMT)
Dori'ba, the Land of the Dead, this was where a certain drow warrior had decided to venture to. The drow warrior was tall, very muscular, and cruel in appearance, a being that would be very easy to pick out by his pure size alone, his name was Sargtlin Olath. He did not know why he had ventured into Dori'ba, but he assumed it something to do with what he had done to his entire clan in his past, when he had killed all of the clan. He looked at all of the bones and graves scattered around the place, in place of grass there were headstones, some crushed and crumpled through time and other beings. The sky the day that he was in Dori'ba was darker than usual, having a dark and sinister look to it, one that Sargtlin enjoyed. He put his hand on the hilt of his sword, crafted by his drow clan, and smiled towards the sky, a dark and cruel smile.
This place, it is beautiful; dark, cold, cruel, and treacherous. thought Sargtlin as he smiled at the dark sky. He was lost in thought when he heard a quite noise near his feet, he looked down and saw a rat.
Die. Sargtlin thought in scorn as he brought his foot down on the creature, killing it quickly. Striding out towards the entrance to the Land of the Dead, as it was called, he felt somethings gaze on him, he assumed it was just an animal or a pathetic creature, lost and helpless.
Arthur Pendragon - August 28, 2007 07:07 PM (GMT)
Arthur had beenon the trail of a certain shadowspawn creature for days now. It having lead him to this desolate and wasted place known as the Land of The Dead. The name fit because the place was so dreary and full of spirits it made even Arthur shiver. His holy broad sword was out glittering in the land fileld with all kinds of evil it was a wonder it was not in open flame because that was what it did in the precense of evil.
Arthru saw teh figure he was searching for up ahead and went on ahead quickly following its tracks dilligently. Until the creature stopped obviously disturbed by soemthing. Arthur did not stop though even if what teh thign that disturbed it was more dangerous than the shadowspawn. FInally Arthru was behind it and tapped it on the shoulder and the creature turned in fear and saw Arthru and its eyes widened in fear. It grabbed for its sword a little to late as Arthurs sword peirced and it gurgled and Arthur said," You should not have killed that woman back in Kaima". The creature fel land Arthru cleaned his blade.
He walked forward and saw what the creature that distubred the shadowspawn was. A drow a bigger on than Arthru had seen and this tiem his sword did glow as the drow was pure evil and Arthru said," Well it seems I have found another creature of evil well lets go to work then".
He detransformed from his dragon state goign into his human one and silenty walked toward the hoping for a better challenge than the one he got from the shadowspawn.
Sargtlin Olath - August 28, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
Sargtlin had just stood still while he felt the gaze on him, seeing what the eyes would do. He expected them to come closer and make noise on the ground as the owner of the eyes got closer, but they went away swiftly with a slight noise from the being, and then a sound came to the ears of Sargtlin, the sound of a body hitting the ground, not loud, but easily perceptible to his sensitive drow ears.
He turned around suddenly to see the body of a shadowspawn laying on the ground with a wound on it, and a human in appearance at least with a broadsword in his hand.
"Good work, whomever you are, for killing that shadowspawn. Now, I would like to test your power myself." Sargtlin said coldly, his hand eagerly going to his sword hilt and drawing it's shining blade, bright in the little light that there was coming from behind the clouds in the sky.
He was eagerly hoping for a good fight, for he had had many fights, but few were very good, for the opponent was usually to easy for his tastes. Perhaps this being would provide some good entertainment in Sargtlin's boredom. He prepared for whatever happened, if his opponent tried to jump him, or use magic, or if he preferred using other creatures for his purpose and keeping his own body away from the fight. He looked at the being's face and person, he did not look particularly impressive, but Sargtlin knew to never underestimate an opponent.
Arthur Pendragon - August 28, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
Arthur looked at the drow and smiled. He pulled his sheild off his back with his left hand and readied himself. He said," Thank you, there not as difficult to get rid of as some people tend to think". The sword was glowing mroe intensly and the white dlames increased and Arthur wondered if the drow knew this sword was evils bane. He then said," If you want to fight, lets but I warn you I am far better than you have e ver faced or will ever face". He smiled and rew hismelf in a stance and said," Let us dance with death".
He came forward advancing slowly making every caution to observe hsi surroundings as well as his opponet. For you always had to be awarer of everythign and anythign that was the measure of a true fighter. He then focused on a single flame in his mind and poured all emotion and feeling into it and then wrapped it around himself and came in for the drow. He aimed his broadsowrd for the drows left thigh so as to weaken him for the coming fight but defected ta the last second turning the balde toward the drows leg.
Sargtlin Olath - August 29, 2007 12:42 AM (GMT)
Sargtlin looked at the broadsword in the man's hand, it was glowing intensely.
A magical sword eh, I will have to watch it carefully, it could be very dangerous. Sargtlin though as the man swung at Sargtlin's left thigh, he brought his sword down near his leg, hoping to catch the impact of the blow on the flat of his blade.
"I do not care if you are more skilled than the others I have fought, for they were all weak!" said Sargtlin as he saw, at the last second the man's attack turn to his leg, he brought his blade in the way of the man's glowing sword. Then Sargtlin punched at the man's face with his left hand keeping the man's blade off of him with his right hand. Unsure if his blow hit or not, he used his momentum to carry his body through, bringing his sword up to spin and slice at the man's stomach, hoping to cut him in half and end the fight without himself getting injured.
((OOC: Sorry for the short post.))
Arthur Pendragon - August 29, 2007 12:51 AM (GMT)
(Its alright I prefer short anyway)
Arthur managed to dodge the mans blow to his face by ducking and then he jsut barely dodged the mans sword by leaning back and it nicked his nose by barely an inch as the man passed forward, Arthur fliped himself back up and looekd at the drow and smiled and said," I am in no means weak drow, one who has spen most of his life fighting evil as well as killing evil dragons is no means weak".
He then circled the man not wanting to attack from his back as that was a cowardly way to win he and soon he stood in front of him though back by five feet. He said," You will soon find that I am the greatets challenge you will ever face".
He then came forward gain this time aiming for the mans right thigh but changing again by twirling the blade toward the drows head in hopes of ending the fight quickly.
Sargtlin Olath - August 29, 2007 01:06 AM (GMT)
"I never said you were weak, but you will have to prove to me that you aren't for me to think you are strong." said Sargtlin after the man had flipped out of the way of his attacks and came to Sargtlin's front. Then the man swung at Sargtlin's right thigh, he wasn't sure, but Sargtlin expected that this attack was just a fake strike. He brought his sword blade down, and then the blade of his opponent came at his head. He smiled and ducked underneath the blade and swung his own blade at his enemy's ankles, then raised himself throwing and uppercut at his foe's jaw at the same time.
"You should have attacked me from behind and gained an advantage for I am not helpless either, and going easy on me is a foolish move." said Sargtlin as he came up, then he skipped back to survey the damage done and wait for his enemy's next move if his blows proved useless.
Arthur Pendragon - August 29, 2007 03:17 PM (GMT)
Arthur dodged the first blow to his ankels but the second blow hit and he was knocked back a little. He checked his jaw it was not broken but it still hurt like fire. He then said to the man," Never attack an emenmy from behind it is cowardly, but also never slow your attack to survey damage either". Arthur smiled a big smiled and drew into a stance once mroe he was goign to have to stop aiming for weakingnign blows, he was not going to win that way. Arthur had to use tactics he had to think of a way to get to the drow and hit him as the drow had done.
Arthur circled the man looking for a weak spot and saw one he attacked from the right this time. His blade gleamed as he started to strike at the man and he aimed right for the mans shoulder but he turned the blade down aiming it for the side of his rips going in angled motion so the blade would slide right to the heart. He then waited in the recess of his mind to feel the warm blood flow onto his blade.
Sargtlin Olath - August 29, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
"Cowardly eh? That is something many say, they all say that it is not fair fighting or is cowardly to attack from behind, or other things like that. Well, there is no such thing as a fair fight, those who don't fight dirty or cowardly, are letting the other person get an advantage. Tell me, do you like giving your foe an advantage?" said Sargtlin after he had skipped back, feeling his strike land solidly on his foe's jaw. Then when his opponent came at his shoulder, he brought his own blade up to block, but saw that it was switching targets, he pulled out one of his throwing knives with his left hand, and used it to quickly get between him and his foe's sword. He felt the blow from his foe crash into his knife blade, it took most of the blow, but his foe's sword still slipped off of the knife blade and came into his ribs and flesh some. He was surprised, by the blade of his enemy slicing into his flesh a little bit, his own blood dripping on his enemy's sword. His hand holding the knife came to his side, but with his other hand swung his sword in angling arch towards his opponent's neck, then stepped back a step and threw the knife in his other hand quickly towards his foe's stomach.
He's better than others that I have fought, but he will still fall before my blades. thought Sargtlin as he threw the knife.
Arthur Pendragon - August 29, 2007 04:02 PM (GMT)
(OCC: jsut so you know the sowrd I am using is a Holy Broadsword and it burns evil, basically when I struck you you should have felt burnign from the blade jsut letting you know)
Arthur did feel blood but the man had not fallend he had diverted the blow with a knife and it had sliced him yes but not killed. He then looked as the man turned hhsi sword to his neck and Arthru managed to get away jsut in tiem but he felt a thunkc against his body and he looked down there was knife in his clothes and he smilled at the man adn said," Nice hit but it takes more than that to hurt me". He took out the knife and threw it toward the man and landed at hsi feet and he rmoved his shirt revealing the chain mail armor under it. He smield and said," Master Work Chainmail never enter a battle without it". There was a dent in the chainmail and little blood of course but it did not go in deep which was good.
He then said to the drow," This has been a nice little warm up but its time I got serious, so lets see how good you really are". He threw yje sheild off his back as well as hsi bow and quiver full of arrows. He concentrated his magic and said," If you think one of me was good, try three". He released his magic and said," Summon Master Warrior" and an exact replica of Arthru appeared with the same exact flaming sword. Then Arthur said," Clone Warrior" and a third Arthur appeared as well and all three Arthurs smiled.
They all three said," You will regret the day you faced, Arthur Pendragon" One Arthur then circled to the mans right, the other the left and the real Arthru stayed in the middle and they all cmae in at once there blades flashing in the sun.
Sargtlin Olath - August 29, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
((OOC: He did feel the burning, I just forgot to put it into the post, sorry))
Sargtlin saw his sword strike miss, as he had expected, but his knife hit it's mark, but it didn't do much damage because the warrior in front of him wore chainmail under his garments. Then his foe took off his shield and bow and quiver, then cloned himself, making two new versions of him both exactly like him.
"This is getting interesting." said Sargtlin, then he put a hand on his injury and said, "Olath O'goth!" After he said the words, his injury started to heal itself because of his dark regeneration spell, until it was most of the way restored to normal. Then all three of his foes came at him after having circled around him, Sargtlin charged the one on the right and brought his sword in the way of his foe's sword, blocking the blow from his foe, and swung at his stomach, then he swung his sword over his head his head again to swing at his foe's legs. Seeing the other two still coming, he drew his other knife out of it's sheath and threw it at the throat of the one on the left, hoping it would hit it's mark.
Arthur Pendragon - August 29, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
Arthur saw one his sumoons fall then the next of course they were not as skilled he but the distraction was completly necessary. He knew the man knew he was coming but with his summons distractions he had gained the advantage over the man. He could vision himself now his blade goign itno the mans flesh killing him and him smiling and sayign what he always did. He thoguth," May you face proper judgment in Chaos".
He then took his sword and insetad of attackign the man from the side he was on he flipepd over him and turned his blade flashing toward the mans shoulder goign to slice him in half at a 90 degree angel. He smiled his only regret being he had hoped for a better fight.
(Sorry its so short but I have to go to lunch)
Sargtlin Olath - August 29, 2007 05:15 PM (GMT)
((OOC: It's Ok))
Sargtlin's blows took down both of the clones, but the real one was still left.
Distractions eh, nice job. Sargtlin thought after he eradicated both clones, then turning he saw the man flipping over him, he was going to slice Sargtlin in half if he didn't do something fast. He kept his eyes trained on his foe, he brought his sword back up, he brought it underneath the sword of his foe, bracing the tip end of the blade with his left hand, while grasping the hilt firmly with his right hand. He felt the powerful blow come smashing into the flat of his sword, leaving a dent in the flat of his blade. He was knocked back a pace by the powerful blow, but he stayed alive.
"You are good, but this is the end, die." said Sargtlin, checking his foe's blade off of his own and reached for his foe's throat to grab him and choke him, and he swung down at his enemy's head as he grabbed at his foe's throat, trying to kill him with this blow.
Arthur Pendragon - August 29, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
Arthur did not smile as the man grabbed for his throat but he managed to dodge it but he had not moved far away enough and he felt a shard pain slash through his arm and he almsot cried out even in the void. He did not however he looked down at his arm and saw a gash goign across his shoulder down to his arm. It wasn't to deep so Arthur knew he would be able to use his arm again but it would leave a scar and hsi arm would be in a bandage for a while. He did not smile anger did not feel him he was now totally emotionless and he said," Nice you got me good but it takes more to kill me and I am tired of this game, its time you knwo what your really dealign with".
He laughed as he transformed into the 12 foot tall blue half-dragon warrior he was. The woudn was still there but it was not as big as it had been on his human form and it hurt less. He smield his dragonic fangs showing and he said," Like I said you will never face anyoen as good as me, and it was your death from the beggining to fae me, for now you deak with Arthur the Half-Dragon slayer of evil" He laughed manically and threw down his sheild no longer having use for it.
He smiled and said," No we dance with death for real". He attacked and swung hsi holy broadsword with all his dragon might toward the mans head goign to split him straight down the middle.
Sargtlin Olath - August 29, 2007 08:28 PM (GMT)
Sargtlin's grab missed, but his sword slice made a nasty gash from his foe's shoulder, to his arm. Sargtlin pulled his sword back, licking off the blood, he noticed that it didn't taste like other humans he had killed. It was then that the man in front of him transformed into a blue dragon.
"So your a half-dragon. This is interesting, I will savor the rest of this fight even more than before." said Sargtlin, getting back into a fighting stance, sword at the ready. The half-dragon in front of him swung his sword down at Sargtlin's head, apparently trying to split him in half. Sargtlin saw the blade coming down at him and stepped to the side to avoid the blow, then he charged towards the half-dragon, he tried to slip inside his defenses and climb on his foe so that he could attack it's vulnerable areas.
Interesting, he is powerful, but I'm not through yet. Even a dragon is vulnerable to attacks, more precision is needed to kill them though than killing fragile humans. thought Sargtlin as he charged the half-dragon.
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - August 30, 2007 02:08 PM (GMT)
Arthur knew that the drow was gona try and usehis size against him when he under his reach. THe man was using a strategy he himself used when he was a dragon slayer. He turned out of the way as the man charged past. He was faster in this form than his humman form and with the skill of great agility he was a force to be reckoned with. He smield and said," It should be, but you will not relish the taste of dragon flesh today drow". He concentrated and he grew less taller and soon only stood 9 ft this was the lesser part of his dragon form but still as formidable. He coudl have been his original height at 6ft but that just threw off the intimidation of his form.
He then let his wings come out and using them to push him charged his sword pointed toward the mas back but he did not attak instead he too to the air and flipped with his wings carrying him came down in a slicingmotion aimed for the mans left shoulder.
Sargtlin Olath - August 30, 2007 03:43 PM (GMT)
When Sargtlin charged the half-dragon, the half-dragon got out of the way. Sargtlin noticed that his size had lessened, but he was still formidable, the dragon took to the air and came down to slice Sargtlin's left shoulder. He dodged to the side, but still got caught by the speed of the blow, taking off some of the flesh on his left arm. It was not deep but it hurt from the power of his enemy's holy blade.
He has a significant advantage on speed, strength, size, and weapons now. This is not boding well, if he was better on just one or two, I could live with that, but this is different. thought Sargtlin as he looked to his right and saw one of his knives from earlier.
If I can hit just right, that should be the end of this fight, and if not, I'm probably going to die. he thought as he lunged for the knife. When he had grabbed the knife, he stood back up and hoped for the right moment.
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - September 3, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)
Arthur smiled a tthe demon and saw him toss the knife. The man was growing desperate if he thought to do that. Yet Arthru knew he was waiting for the right moment to striek for the kill. He let the blade catch him on the shoulder where he had been hit earlier and pain again squezed through the void/ He took the blade out grimacing a little and he looked at it a moment and then threw it down. He said," Did you really think to kill me with this, you are growing desperate to win to resort to thsoe methods, all you have to do is surrender, I do not feel like killing today so thats all you have to do".
He chuckled but he held his blade high in the mid guard and decided he would make the fight a bit mroe interesting. He charged the man and then gathered his breath while in the chare and let out of hsi mouth a fire death that headed straight for the drow to consume him alive.
Sargtlin Olath - September 3, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
Sargtlin saw his knife hit in the wound made by his sword earlier, it obviously wouldn't kill the half-dragon, but confirmed to Sargtlin that it was still a weak spot when he noticed the half-dragon's grimace.
The wound I made earlier, it is still vulnerable, that leaves several weak spots on him still. thought Sargtlin as he watched the half-dragon pull the knife out of his wound. Then the half-dragon started to charge him, as he charged Sargtlin, fire came out of the half-dragon's mouth. Sargtlin jumped to the side avoiding most of the flame, but some caught his foot. Fortunately the wound was not severe, it would leave a burn, but would not inhibit his fighting. After the half-dragon had charged past him, Sargtlin watched his foe, hoping for a weakness to get in to severely wound or kill him.
His scales are possibly to strong for a sword blow, but his exposed flesh is not, that wound is the weak part on his body, and then his face has many weak points. thought Sargtlin as he readied himself for his next attack.
"Who knows, perhaps one of us will surrender, or perhaps one of us will die, but I am not surrendering yet." said Sargtlin, as he drew himself up for the next move.
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - September 3, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
Arthur gave another smile he knew his fire had caught the man but not to hrut him bad. His strategies for scaring weren't working he had hoped ot firghten the drow enough to make him surrender but Arthur knew it wasn't. He kenw hsi wound eventually be a target for another atatck as Arthru could only heal light wounds so he needed to think. He had wounded the man as well the drow would be weakining soon an then Arthru had to strike. He then had an idea and said," Nor do I intend to surrender nor do I intend to die, it seems you have no fear of me yet, well that can be remedied".
He cackled and brought his magic and said," Summon Monster". Soon a monster in the shape of a Minok appeared its fangs bearing toward the man and Arthru said," Two monsters eac hdeadly one more dealy than then ext lets see where this goes". He cackeld and he his summon charged the man once again.
Sargtlin Olath - September 3, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
Sargtlin was watching his foe, when his foe summoned a monster, using his magic.
He is better than I expected, I must say. thought Sargtlin as he readied himself for the charge of the monster and the half-dragon.
"You have been interesting to fight, who knows, perhaps if neither of us dies we may fight again. Until then, let's continue this fight, but who says I don't have a trick up my sleeve? Perhaps that knife that went into your wound shortly ago was poisoned, or perhaps I have a powerful spell that I've been saving for the end of this fight?" said Sargtlin smiling coldly and cruelly as he awaited the attacks to get closer to him, hoping to bluff his opponent.
It's interesting having a fight that I am having a challenge with. Almost...fun, I am enjoying some of this fight. thought Sargtlin after he had spoken to the half-dragon coming at him.
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - September 4, 2007 01:44 PM (GMT)
Arthur did not smiel or stop but he did not attack either instead he went right past the man and stabbed a desert wraid. He said," I won't have somethign I hunt kill you, you belong to me". He turned to the drow and said," If the blade was poison I wouldn't feel any adverse affects anyway, my dragon blood would counter i, and if you had an all powerful spell you would have used it by now, so I say your bluffing". He then turned ot his monster and said," Sick him but leave some for me, show him what a real spell is".
The monster went in and went right for the drows throat. Arthur smield and knew the fight was goign to be over very soon.
(Sorry its so short but I am a bit pressed for time at the moment.)
Sargtlin Olath - September 4, 2007 02:01 PM (GMT)
Sargtlin watched as the half-dragon stabbed a wraith that was behind Sargtlin. Sargtlin's bluff had not worked, but instead the half-dragon sent his monster at Sargtlin. It went for his throat, but Sargtlin ducked underneath the attack, then he tried something from earlier, slashing at his foe's ankles then coming up with an uppercut at his foe's jaw. This time he continued and spun his body after he was up and did a spinning slash at his foe's stomach.
I was bred for battle, I will not be beaten by someone like him...no, I must claim his head, but can I? thought Sargtlin while swinging at the monster.
((OOC: That's ok, mine is also very very short.))
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - September 4, 2007 02:08 PM (GMT)
Arthur watched as his monster fell to the mans blows and Arthur smiled. THe dorw was not goign to give up and for one thing Arthur liked this felowo. His persevernce but that would not help him win the battle, Arthur had like drows had been born for battle, his father was a War Dragon who know there were only 80 off. War dragons were kings and lords of dragons and his father was their leader so his father was king and lord of all dragons.
His mother was of the decent of King Arthru Pendragon wielder of Excalibur and both were warriors. So Arthur was not only the decendant of great warriors he was a warrior born and bred for battle. He smiled and said," Nice work I expected my summon to last longer, but it does not matter I know enough of your moves to finish you off". He drew his blade up and charged at the man once again. He swung his sword for the mans shoulder going to take his whole arm off.
Sargtlin Olath - September 4, 2007 02:40 PM (GMT)
Sargtlin saw his blows fell the summoned monster, but there was still the half-dragon to deal with. Sargtlin saw him charging him again, going for his shoulder again. He dodged and jumped up in the air, coming down at the wound he had made earlier. Sargtlin was wondering how much longer their fight would last, he also wondered if his foe was getting tired.
"Tell me, why do you fight evil?" said Sargtlin as he jumped at his foe, seeing if this would distract him slightly.
As he came down with his blade, he thought of the time he had killed all of the other drow warriors, and his entire clan. He was a killer born and bred, but it seemed the hunter was becoming the hunted.
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - September 5, 2007 02:50 PM (GMT)
Arthur smiled as the man tried to distract him to make his own blow. He dodged it and turned back into the mid guard and said," Because I am a sworn enemy agaisnt evil, my mother swore over my crib that I would be a thorn in evils side and barmble in its hand, and I carry out that oath for I intend to make Chaos weep for what it did to what was rightfully mine". He then fell back a little and looked at a good way to attack he doubted the drow knew any blademaster moves so he decided to attacki n the styles of the blademaster. He then said," For I am Arthur Pendragon Sworn of The Light, The True Heir To THe Lost Kingdom of King Arthur Weilder of Excalibur, The True Heir To The Sword Excalibur, I am the one who will ocne again make evil weep and cry in fear at the sign of The Golden Dragon".
The first form he went into was Eagle Swoops Over Mountain and he followed that by King Fish Jumps Over Lake and then finally finished with an Dragon Breathes Fire by striking at the mans thigh.
Sargtlin Olath - September 5, 2007 03:32 PM (GMT)
"So in some ways you were bred to destroy evil, and I was bred to fight and kill. Interesting contrast, but perhaps you do not want to keep fighting evil. Perhaps you do not wish to continue fighting, what then?" said Sargtlin as his foe dodged his attack and pulled back. He kept his sword at the ready as he spoke, watching the bright blade of his foe. Then his foe attacked him with sword techniques that were unfamiliar to him.
I do not recognize these techniques, these must be more than just basic techniques, for I learned the basic ones, never any farther though. Instead I made my own style of swordplay, one that works for many different situations, it has proved itself worthy. thought Sargtlin as he blocked the first two strikes at him, taking the impact of the heavy blows on the flat of his sword, but when the third technique went for his thigh, he brought his sword down as quick as possible. It knocked the blow away mostly but it still cut a little into his flesh, blood started slowly dripping down his leg, the wound burned from the holy broadsword. His leg was alright though, he could still move it and use it in the fight.
Not half bad, but perhaps I should pull some of my own out. thought Sargtlin as he pulled his sword up above his head, but made a quick jab with his left hand for his foe's stomach to wind him, then swung his sword at and angle at his foe's neck.
"Indeed, you are good, you have a good chance of winning, but never underestimate your prey, for they sometimes strike back. Light does not always prevail over darkness, especially in a place like this," said Sargtlin as he put a hand over his leg, "Olath O'goth." When he said this, his wound started to regenerate by his dark regeneration spell, not all the way for it was a weak spell, but some.
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - September 5, 2007 04:10 PM (GMT)
Arthur manged to barely dodge both blows. THe one that went for his neck had nicked him and he chehed it was only minor so he summoend up his magic and used the minor heal spell and smield at teh dorw. He then said," Nice moves but your no blademaster". He tne went into a lower guard than the mid guard knowing he woudl win even if he had to Sheathe The Sword. That meant willingly accepting his foes blade into his flesh to kill him. He then smiled at the drow and said," Good advice but you should also never underestimate a blademaster, and especially oen who serves the light, and you say the light does not always prevail that is true, but it sure can give the darkenss one heck of a run for its money". He smiled as he hegan to summon his magic and said," Its time I finished this little battle, I am growing bored and well I have to let you know somethign, I have not had this mutch fun since I faced that demon in the Guardian of The Suns Tourney". He then said," Summon Raa Chaos Golem". Soon a 9 foot golem appeared in front of Arthur and Arthru smield and said," Lets hope you have mroe than one spell up your sleeve because if you don't you better surrender right now". He cackeld and said," Attack". The golem charged forward and swung his heavy mace at the drow.
Sargtlin Olath - September 5, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
"I may not be a swordmaster, but I don't rely on just my sword, as you felt earlier," said Sargtlin as he recalled the solid impact that his uppercut made on his foe's jaw, he clenched his fist as he continued, "That aside, darkness and light, what would happen if they merged? What would be created by the union of the two most powerful forces? Balance would be created, and if one or the other, darkness or light is overthrown, then balance would no longer exist. The whole world would be bias towards whichever force had claimed the world. Then, if the light ruled over everything, balance, chaos, darkness would all be gone, and then what would you do, you who destroy evil?" He said this as the Arthur summoned a chaos golem. As the huge golem swung it's mace at Sargtlin, he dodged the powerful blow, then he rolled his body underneath and behind the golem, charging the half-dragon.
I should have trained with more spells than just dark regeneration, to late now. thought Sargtlin as he charged at the half-dragon. He brought his sword back to his right side as he charged, then he thrust his sword point forward at his foe's face. Whether or not it had hit, he pulled the blade back and thrust forward to plunge the sword blade hard into the open bleeding wound the Sargtlin had made earlier.
Perhaps I am just not strong enough yet to beat him. Or perhaps I will win, who knows the outcome of this fight? thought Sargtlin as he lunged his sword blade, glimmering in the light of the moon from the metal mixed with the blood coating the blade, at his foe. Sargtlin's wounds were bleeding, the blood on his clothes invigorated him as he attacked, he loved the sight of blood, even his own.

Arthur watched him dodge the golem and come straight for him. He dodged the blow that came straight for his face. The blow that came for his wound hit him as he moved out of the way. He let out a roar as the blade dug into him and he looked down at it. The blade had missed his bone but had gone through the rest of his arm. Arthur grabed the blade and backed out of the sword grimacing slightly and he smiled at the drow. He said," Nor do I, a blademasters weapon isn't the sword, the blademaster is the weapon". He cackled and let go of the sword and backed away into a mid guard and Arthur said," What would I do, I would live happily, the balance will one day be broken that is ofr sure, I knwo I will not be the one to do it, but I myself will live happily and free knowing that helped in the destruction of evil, I will live my life as my fathers do, as wanders and I will eventually settle down and marry and pass on my adventures to my children, that is what I will do".
He then said," You forgot the golem". The golem came back and started to swing his mace down on the drows head as Arthru took to the sky letting his wings go free. He decided to watch and see how the drow would handle this.

((OOC: I think I understand what you did, but tell me if I need to edit this post.))
"Interesting, but remember that light may not be the victor over the darkness, perhaps darkness shall engulf the light." said Sargtlin, his first strike missing it's target, but he felt his second strike slide into the flesh of the half-dragon, his blood dripping down the drow's cold blade. Then he looked over his shoulder, with a quick glance, to check on the chaos golem, when he looked over his shoulder, he saw the chaos golem swinging it's large and heavy mace down at his head, about to crush his body into the earth with it's mace. He was slightly startled, but jumped to the side of the golem in time to avoid the crushing blow, watching the some of the soil fly up into the air some, take the blow instead of his body. He got up painfully, now noticing that he was getting tired from the brutal fighting.
If this doesn't end soon, I won't be able to continue much longer with these wounds and the amount of energy I'm using in this fight. thought Sargtlin, wincing slightly as he picked his body off of the ground. Then he tried slicing at the leg of the large golem as he passed by, going for Arthur again. Then he got to where he wanted to be and swung his sword at his foe's neck, he followed that with a punch with his other hand at his foe's face and used the momentum from both to spin his body around, slicing the bloody blade at the wound on his foe's wounded arm.
I may not be able to kill him, but I'll give him as much pain and wounds and suffering as I can before I'm done. thought Sargtlin as he swung the blade down at the bloody wound.

Arthur dodged the blow towrad his kenck and his face. He had realized by now the man was aiming for his arm so he dodged low and the blade that went for his wound went over his shoulder instead only not even denting the chainmail. He backed away from the onslaught dodge and parrying the blows with his sword. He smiled and said to the man," Good always conquers over evil drow, so it was written, so shall it beas long as there is love, good will conquer".
He smiled and stood up straight and said," Its done you can't do anymore your growing tired and weak, while I, I am still as vibrant as ever, I think in the end I knew I would win, so rather let us end this in a draw dorw, where we can both go our ways, and say we did our best and neither came out on top". He de transformed back to his human state. His wound looked worse in that state and he felt a bit more weakened than he had in his dragon sate. He still had fight left in him, enough at least to last him 3 hours, but he was hurting slightly but still he was not tired not yet.
He smield and said," You have been the best opponent I have had for a long time, and if I meet you again I hope you will be more powerful than before, so that way the fight can go on longer". He wiped the drows blood off his sword and sheathed it in its sheath. He smiled and the golem he had summoned went away the 10 minutes it had expired.
He smiled and went over to where his things lay and picked up hsi sheidl and put on his back and then looked back at the drow and said," It was an honor facing an opponent who could give me a good battle and hopefull will one day again, may you fidn peace and when you wake from the dream be welcomed to the mothers embrace". He then turned and started to walk away. He knew that the drow would probably try and kill him nwo with his back turned but thats why Arthur kept one hand on the sword on his side.
Sargtlin Olath - September 5, 2007 07:18 PM (GMT)
Sargtlin watched as all his blows missed, he expected to feel the half-dragon's sword in his stomach as a reward for his attacks, but instead he backed away from Sargtlin.
"Books are not always right, but you may be right, light might still defeat darkness, but until I fall I will keep fighting for that is what I live for." he said in response to Arthur's words that he had spoken as he backed away. Sargtlin kept a guard up ready for another onslaught, he chanced another look behind him, but the golem hadn't charged him again.
"You are the best fighter and greatest challenge I have ever had. I can accept a draw with you, for now, but when we meet again, then we will face again. Until then, you had better not die before I fight you again, for that would be very disappointing." said Sargtlin as the half-dragon transformed into his human form and sheathed his holy sword. Sargtlin took out a crimson cloth, it had been washed, but the stains from the blood of many races would never come out of that defiled cloth. He wiped the blood of his foe off of his own sword on that cloth, showing that he would end the fight for now, then he put his sword back in it's sheath. He watched as his foe started walking away.
"You said your name was Arthur? Well then Arthur, stay in one piece till I find you again so that this fight can be finished then. My name is Sargtlin Olath, remember that name." said Sargtlin as his opponent walked away. He went and picked up both of his blood soaked throwing knives, he cleaned them on the same crimson cloth, and put them back in they're sheaths.
I look forward to our next meeting Arthur Pendragon, then we will dance with death once again, but I intend to finish it then. thought Sargtlin Olath, the drow warrior born and bred to fight, as he put his knives into they're sheaths lovingly. He looked around, seeing the blood on the ground from both of them, how fitting it seemed to him for it to be here the bodies of the dead lay in eternal sleep. They needed no water, for blood is what was given them.
They're probably disappointed though that no one came to join them today. thought Sargtlin as a slight smile came to his face.
Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - September 5, 2007 07:26 PM (GMT)
Arthur looked back pnly momentarily oh yes he would remember the named. He had hoped to kill evil today instead he had found a worthy challenge, he hadn't fougt that way in over fie months since he had slain his last dragon. He would rember and the drow would also remember and when they met again Arthru would make the him weep and beg for his life to be spared. He smiled lookign forward to it and whistled and soon there was heard a great flabbing of wings and a steel dragon landed beside Arthur and looked at him and said," You had fun I see, well I'll heal you before you bleed to death". The dragon blew a breath of healing wind on him and Arthur felt better. He was still tired but he no longer hurt. He said to the dragon," I finally met someone who danced with death as near as well as I do, I look forward to challenging him again". He got on the dragon and the dragon lifted off and Arthur shouted to the drow," Stay alive for me as well, this hardly far from finhished and know this next time we meet, I won't go easy on you". He laughed and the dragon speed away whiel Arthur laid his head to catch a little rest.
