Title: Seeking a Challenge
Description: [P] Drakon, Kearia, Umbra

Drakon - August 16, 2007 08:21 AM (GMT)
It had been quite some time since Drakon had stepped foot in the Salquedor grasslands. He had spent most of his life on the western coast of the world. He didn't spend it in the forests however perfering the bare igneous rock around Lhachlith Volcano. He had spent so much time there that he had grown acustomed to the constent quake's that he missed them now that there weren't any. To him the Salquedor grasslands were too green...too nice. He perfered things when they were decayed, dying, or barren. Coming to a hill with a lone tree on top of it he looked down to the fields below. The sent of flowers that came in the wind was almost enough to make him sick. He hoped that the fighting blow in which he hoped to start would help him in forgetting this ugly place.

The last time he had been to this place it had been a simple section of packed dirt and a fence. Now along with that there was a larger building next to it. And though he couldn't see within it he knew that there would be plenty of people to challenge his skills, or at least he hoped they could. Down with just looking he made his way down the hill toward the training arena.

Along the way he ran into a few people who could pass as warriors but none that looked good enough to pose a challenge him. So far he hadn't gotten any strange looks from the warriors going by. It had been months since that man had seen him but he would have thought that word of his sighting would have passed to almost everyone. Coming to the large entry doors he placed his hands upon them and pushed both open. Everything within stopped as he entered the first room. From here he could tell more of what the building was like on the inside. But from what he saw he didn't like it much. It seemed that the building was just a place for the people to stay and work out while they seek personal training. Disgusted at how useless the building was he quickly exited from it and went to the training arena he had gone to on a few occasions in the past. Many people were already there some looking to pick fights, others already fighting. Only a few were in the stands watching. It didn't matter to him, he wasn't here to be watched, he wanted to spill blood, to kill someone if he got the chance.

Stepping over the fence he walked to the middle of the arena and stood there and waited. The few people in the stands had noticed him but the others in the arena didn't give him a second glance to involved in their own fights. He would soon get the attention of all however. Looking around once more he began to shout to all who could hear, "To all of you here, I seek a challenge, whomever is the strongest come forward and fight me, but be warned for who ever steps forward shall have there spilled blood throughout this arena!"

As he had hoped that had gotten the attention of all who were there. Some looked like they wanted to step forward but none did so quickly. He stood there and waited to see if one would be brave enough to fight him.

Umbra - August 17, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
The Training Arena was not that old, the building at least. Umbra was a common visitor to the old one, she remembered the many fights she had and the training area was always a good place to practice. She had already spent a few hours training with some dummies (the stuffed kind) and dummies (people who thought she was weak). She worked hard at fighting, after all, as a Lunar Guardian she made it possible for travelers to move safely at night. She sat on the fence resting as she listened to the stories of fighters as she worked on her weapons and rested after healing her wounds and scrapes. Those she fought often ended up being the ones who needed the most healing. She wondered who would be fighting next.

It was not long before a man came in, his eyes were dark and he seemed like the kind of person you would find in a dark alley at night, when there is no moon, and you’re lost and scared. But Umbra had seen many like this; the worst was dealt with by the Goddess’ of Nature, Chaos and Life. Umbra rolled her eyes and listened to the Amazonian finish her story. “And so there I was, trapped. But the men did not phase me until I met the last one. He was brutish and I thought that he would kill me, but then I unleashed my special technique, the rapid fire kick. It knocked him out quickly. Umbra nodded and stretched her feet out as the man shouted. "To all of you here, I seek a challenge, whomever is the strongest come forward and fight me, but be warned for who ever steps forward shall have there spilled blood throughout this arena!" he demanded. Umbra looked at the trio she was with. The Amazon rolled her eyes and left. The knight shook his head, “Not that foolish young friend.” He said and the rogue did not say anything but looked as if he was afraid. Umbra sighed, well this would be a pretty good fight right?

Umbra undid her silver cloak wrapping it over the fence and picked up Selene, her holy blade and choice weapon as well as her shield. Swinging over the fence she landed and walked across the arena to where the man stood, her holy plate shined giving her an aura. “Well...You better be able to back that talk up buddy. I hate to fight those who are all talk no action. Ready when you are.” She said as she strapped her shield to her arm and drew her sword, the blade shined and light burst from her back, soon two angelic wings were on her back, she was going all out on this one.

Kearia - August 17, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)
Kearia watched the people as they fought and battled eachother. She smirked as she noticed a young woman sitting on a fence surrounded by a bunch of people and they were talking and stuff. She wondered if someone worthy would show up and come to fight with them. She then was brushed by a man who barely noticed she was there. She followed and looked around as he shouted out a threat, "To all of you here, I seek a challenge, whomever is the strongest come forward and fight me, but be warned for who ever steps forward shall have there spilled blood throughout this arena!" he said.

She was about to shake off the threat and leave when she saw the same woman jump over the fence and draw her blade and shield. “Well...You better be able to back that talk up buddy. I hate to fight those who are all talk no action. Ready when you are.” She said. Finally smirking Kearia move into the ring as well Kearia wanted to see who would win the fight, but suddenly someone picked her up and threw her over the fence marking her entrance into the fight. “I guess this means I am dragged into it too. Lets see who spills who’s blood, for I will be spilling yours and you will join my army of undead...The two of you.” She said with a smile twirling her staff over her head and taking a stance.

Drakon - August 17, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
As Drakon stood there looking over the crowd he saw a small group of four that had been chatting. Upon his statement they had stopped. One of the fore, a woman who looked a little wild had rolled her eyes and walked away. He had a strong feeling that woman had been some sort of amazon. Another of the four shook his head and spoke, “Not that foolish young friend.” By his armor he seemed to be some sort of knight, perhaps a paladin but that didn't matter. But from his remark, if it had in fact been directed toward him suggested that they had crossed paths before. He had no memory of the encounter but it's not as if he tried to remember every face. They were just that faces holding no importance. The third of the group was cloaked he didn't move even though one of the group had left. It seemed that this man was a little scared of him, with good reason. The forth from the group however interested him the most. From the moment he barked his demand for a challenge he felt no fear in this one, rather odd for what appeared to be a human. Though if he had learned anything is was to never judge a person by their looks. As he watched the woman undid her silver cloak wrapping it over the fence and picked up a rather unique sword and a shield. He had never seen a blade quite like it. He had heard of a blade only known as the holy blade but he doubted that it existed. She hoped over the fence and walked toward his location. As she walked her armor gave off a aura that annoying to his eyes. As she strapped on her shield she spoke, "“Well...You better be able to back that talk up buddy. I hate to fight those who are all talk no action. Ready when you are.” As she finished she drew her sword. It gave off a slight glow as well. But that was the least of his worries. Once she drew her blade light erupted from her back and two angelic wings could now be seen. Whoever this person was she wasn't going to be playing around.

Drawing his own blade he knew he wouldn't be able to fight with his power alone. This person seemed way to strong for that. He would have to at some point fall back to his dragon side to even it out, if it was possible. He was about to act upon that thought when a second person moved into the ring as well. This person unlike the first to step up seemed more darker somehow. As she neared the two of them she spoke, “I guess this means I am dragged into it too. Lets see who spills who's blood, for I will be spilling yours and you will join my army of undead...The two of you.”

He was right to assume that this second woman was evil. He guessed she was some sort of necromancer though he had never seen a female one before. Returning to his own thoughts he began to focus on himself. Dark smoke began to come from his back as a pair of reddish black dragon wings erupted from his back. He halted it at that. There was no reason to show his full dragon form before it was needed. Though he knew he would need it soon. Raising his sword to Umbra. "Well if you two are ready to begin..." he began as then dashed at umbra with all his speed and slashed at her with his two handed sword.

Umbra - August 17, 2007 04:14 PM (GMT)
Umbra watched the man as she readied herself for an attack when someone else caught her eye, she looked at a small girl enter the ring. She was no bigger than Tanya was, much less older. But anyone who saw her could feel the evil aura that was within her, Umbra narrowed her eyes. So it was a three free for all...not that bad. She watched as the girl spun her staff and took a stance, “I guess this means I am dragged into it too. Lets see who spills who's blood, for I will be spilling yours and you will join my army of undead...The two of you.”
She said. Umbra stiffened at her words, a necromancer. Not bad for a child her age, but Umbra figured she could win even that way, the girl seemed inexperienced but Umbra never underestimated her opposition. She had learned from a good friend of hers that everyone had tricks up their sleeves.

She turned to the man who had shadows pouring out of his back, black dragon wings appeared and she smiled, "You are already showing promise. But do not think that is all you need...I have fought and won against full dragons before, let alone half dragons." she said. The man turned to her first and ran towards her, "Well if you two are ready to begin..." he said. She analized him, he was a good fighter with a two handed sword, meaning he would mostly be handless because of using a two handed weapon, which gave her and the girl a slight advantage. The girl however was younger, most likely inexperienced in a good solid fight. So odds wise, she was the winner. But hey, no one ever counts their chickens these days. The man's sword cut quickly through the air and she moved slightly and his swordmade a clang sound as Umbra smiled, her Demonic sheild blocking his attack. She would not have been this good a fighter a year ago. But now she was a seasoned warrior with many tricks up her sleeve. She grinned as she moved and swung her own blade at the man, keeping an eye on the third fighter.

Kearia - August 18, 2007 05:20 AM (GMT)
Kearia watched each person with great intensity, analyzing them to find their strengths and weaknesses. Any fighter would obviously rank her as the lowest: age, apparent skill level, armor, weaponry, and size all gave her the disadvantage. The man would be in the middle, his sword was strong since it was a two hander, his size gave him the brawn to attack and the observant person would already tell he was a half dragon. Apparently shadow to be exact, she narrowed her eyes. He would be on the middle scale, dragons were formidable, but not indestructable. The woman on the other hand...She was the one on the top. Her sword was one of the strongest ever, a match only to the dark and balance blades. Her sheild was of good value as well, and who knew what other tricks she had up her sleeve, this was just a physical description, no one knew what spells the other posessed. Certianly though, the woman was a seasoned fighter, she could tell by looking at her.

Kearia figured the woman would be the best target as the man ran and attacked her, she smirked as the woman blocked his attack. That was obvious, the woman would not fall easily. She pushed forwards and aimed for a pressure point on the back of the womans neck where it would easily hit and be hard to deflect. Although it was not a fatal pressure point it was definately a way to knock her senseless. Kearia was the lesser of the three, but when it came to the body, you would have a hard time finding a stronger fighter with pressure points. "Try this!" she said swinging her staff for the pressure point on the womans neck to knock the woman out immediately.

Drakon - August 18, 2007 07:14 AM (GMT)

As he rushed in for his attack he heard his opponent speak once more, "You are already showing promise. But do not think that is all you need...I have fought and won against full dragons before, let alone half dragons." If she had faced full dragons before then he would really need to use his full power. His attack had failed as his two handed sword collided with the women shield. It didn't even look like the attack did a thing. He thought it might have stunned her or she would have felt something from it. He was right to assume that this woman would be a much bigger challenge then he had ever faces. Though as he attacked his eyes never left his second opponent either. She hadn't made any more as of yet, thought he knew that wouldn't last. And once she entered the fray things would get much more complicated and fun. To him the more in a battle the more fun it would be for him and even more blood would be spilled.

As he tried to position himself for another attack he saw two things. His second opponent, the female necromancer with a staff chose that time to rush in. He wasn't sure which one she was going to attack yet due to the fact that he and the other were so close to each other but he had to prepare for the worst. That she was coming to attack him. The other thing he saw coming, but only just, was an attack from the angelic woman. The sword was coming in fast but he couldn't just take the attack. He was still holding his sword. Bringing it up and down he blocked the attack from her blade with his own. What he hadn't expected was how much force she had put behind the attack. As she continued though with the attack he was pushed up into the air where he stayed hovering with the help of his wings. If he were to attack this women he would have to try and find a opening.

Looking again to his second opponent he was in luck. It looked like she was going for the other, not him. She was weilding that staff as a weapon. And though it could be used as such it was too blunt to do real damage, unless she had a specific plan. He could use this to attack as well. The two attacks at the same time would be rather hard to dodge. He had a feeling though that would only turn to disaster. He had a feeling that this person would be able to avoid both and then counter attack again. He would let the other attack with no interruption from him for the moment. Till the moment was right he would keep his eyes on her to catch an opening in her defenses.

Since the woman hadn't attacked again right away he used this time to go further into his dragon form. His arms and neck began to change. They began to turn green and harder. Pretty soon his skin would be just like an armor. Though he doubted his skin could take an attack from that blade. He was starting to think that it was in fact the Holy blade.

Umbra - August 22, 2007 04:26 AM (GMT)
Umbra could feel the clang and force of the blade as Drackon tried to hit her, but it did not phase her that much. She smiled as she watched him, she kept an eye on the girl as well. Suddenly the woman moved running towards them. Umbra could tell that she was the target, the girl would have had to be running faster to get to the man, suddenly she turned back to the man as he blocked her attack. He decided the air was the best place and pushed himself up into the sky. She watched him hovering in the air for the moment. She noted he definately was of dragonic blood. The thing was, how to defeat him. She smirked again as the girl finally got to her.

Umbra turned to the side and glanced over her shoulder as she saw her second opponent enter the fight and attempt an attack. The girl swung with all her might yet the staff only struck air. A few feet away Umbra stood on the wooden railing, people cheered as she was able to outwit both of her opponents. She smiled at them, "Not bad, but you will have to do better than that my dear if you wish to take me down. Your knowledge of pressure points is a good one but must be kept to a limit if you wish to win this fight. He is going dragon more and more and you will have to be faster to keep up with me." she said encouragingly. She wanted to really see how these two fought.

Shething her sword she nodded as she jumped back into the ring. "Very well...It is my turn again." she said and smirked. The wings disapeared and she took in a deep breath, this would take a lot of mana. As the spectators watched she ran towards the girl, "Tauruan!" she said thrusting her hand in the air but then teleported once again to the area behind the man on the ground and thrust her hands forwards. An aura of moving light went around her arms as her sunbeam spell flew towards the man.

OOC: Appologies for the late post to the both of you, I have been working.
