Title: (Almost) Going Home and (near) Death encounter.
Description: Private, pm if you want in.
Jaina - August 12, 2007 02:11 PM (GMT)
Jaina was walking toward the spidercaves for some time hopin that in them lie a path to her home. She have heard a rummor by some travelers that in them is a device that can transport some one through out the realms. If that was true Jaina was determined to find it and use it to go home. As she was 'drowned' in her thoughts she noticed that it was geting late and the sun was alredy going away 'making' room for the moon to shine in the night sky. SHe knew that if she continiue in the night it was going to be dangerous but if she stay n one place even more but she got no other choice to stop because she was tired. She walked for nearly 20 more minutes untill she saw many trees much like a forest but great many of them were covered in spider web and she thought "I must be getting closer to the caves." She aproached one of the trees that was not covered in web and sat at it's bottom and plced her back on the tree itself. Jaina was wondering if she should start a camp fire because it may attrackt unwanted attention but it could keep the spiders away so she decided not to start a fire. time passed and she almost fell asleap but the she heard a noise of some onewalking in the woods it was not good if there was some one nearby so she desidet to keep quiet but she prepered herself for abttle hoping it would not go this far.
Azirel Silversin - August 12, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
"Dammit! What kind of deadly cave is this!? I can't even find any treasure! I finally find some food and I get attacked by these freaks!" Azirel had been searching through the caves for hours, but had finally found something, a spider nest.
Azirel ran into a flat clearing, it was dark, but Azirel had some magical ability, so he was able to see the five giant spiders on his trail.
He had cleverly chosen this clearing to run to, so that if he was attacked by spiders in the cave, they'd have nothing to climb on.
He drew his falchion, preparing to cleave into the abdomen of an approaching spider. The spider jumped at least fifteen feet into the air and attemped to land on Azirel, he hopped out of the way, barely escaping the hulking mass that was the spider. He turned around, face to face with another spider, with its gaping mouth open and dripping with some nasty red liquid.
Azirel jabbed his sword into the mouth of the goliath arachnid, watching it come out of the back of its neck. He pulled his falchion out of the throat of the beast and swung it in a circle, slicing into the side of another spider. The first spider fell, dying, but the second spider recoiled and swiped out one of its long legs at Azirel. He hopped out of the way and swung back, chopping off its left front leg.
"Is there anyone out here?!" Azirel yelled, he wasn't sure how long he could hold these spiders off.
Jaina - August 12, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
The sounds were not walking but running and then she heard the call "Is there anyone out here?" She didnt knew if it was a trap to lure her to reveal herseld or it was dire as it sounded after a few short moments strugle with her senses and her mind she desided to answer the call. "Hold on there! I'm coming." She yelled and ran from behind the tree toward the sound. When she got there she saw Azirel fighting one spider and one was alredy dead few moments later a third spider appeared from the nothing and it jumped toward Azirel. As it was in the air jauna oppened her palm and said "Fandu-dath-belore.' and few inches away from her pawm a fireball appeared and insinerated the spider as it was flyng. Then she waved her hand toward the next spider and repeated the same words fiering another ball of fire toward it. When it was hit she aproached Azariel and asked him "We meet again. But what are you doing in this wreched place?"
Adiane - August 12, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
Adiane was sitting in a tree outside and listening to those two yell to each other from different directions. Her keen ears cough every sound that was made by any creature or nature...A sly smirk crept upon her lips of her pale but still beautyful face....it's a mirricale that after so many thousands years she's still...ALMOST the same beautyful...but to recover fully she need blood..And so she is here...spying on two idiots who dares enter those caves.....Adiane easyly pined the location where they were and teleported into the caves." Looking for something?" she asked remaining on a sailing of the caves like a spider and gazing at them with her dark eyes.
Azirel Silversin - August 12, 2007 09:37 PM (GMT)
Moments after Azirel's cry for help, Jaina had arrived to aid him.
"Ah, Jaina Proudmoore, long time no see." He said as he took a swipe into the thorax of the spider he was fighting. "I was told by a man in Estolad of this place, I figured these creatures might be hoarding treasure, but found nothing." He continued before dodging an acidic spew from a fourth spider that fried the grass upon cantact.
He struck the face of the opposing spider with his falchion, causing it to recoil and squeel in pain. He quickly beheaded it before it could a recover.
He turned on the spider that had previously shot acid slime at him.
He let out a roar as he swung at his throat with all of his force. The spider shot out one final corrosive spew that hit Azirel in the arm before it died. Azirel screamed in agony as he watched a layer of skin on his arm turn black and dissolve before his eyes.
[EDIT:] (OOC: Um, Adiane, you can't have any abilities or spells (like teleporting) that you didn't buy from a shop, so you might wanna ask for that post to be deleted or edit it...)
Adiane - August 12, 2007 09:48 PM (GMT)
(it was more fast moving, if u didn't notice Adiane has lightning reflexes and at all vampires are faster than any creatures, it's their nature.....i can edit that she lets say moved with a speed of a lightning or something but it's almost same as teleportation..)
Bantorra - August 12, 2007 09:57 PM (GMT)
Bantorra had been wandering through the mountains for several hours but had gotten no where.
Why do I always get lost? It's very annoying. Bantorra thought as he set himself against a tree trunk. He looked into the branches and saw spider webs in the trees.
I must be getting close to the Spider Caves. After he looked into the tree, he heard a desperate cry for help. He jumped up and began to run in the direction of the cry, when he was getting closer, he heard the sound of spiders and a agonized cry. He broke into the area of fighting and saw two figures fighting the giant spiders, as he did, a giant spider saw him and came at him. Bantorra drew his scimitar and the spider sprayed a poisonous liquid at him, but he dodged the liquid before it reached him. He jumped at it's head and swung his sword into the spiders head.
One more down.
Jaina - August 12, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
"it is Jaina only." hse said befor the spider spat his acid at Azirel. When he fell at the ground Jaina quickly got to him looked at the rotting flesh and said "Dont worry you will be fine!" Then she closed her eyes and chanted "Grangol'var" a simple spell as it was his wound and there before their very eyes the flesh quickly almost for a second regenerated. Then she said to him once more "Just keep your arm from the same acid again or the wound will be far worse."
Azirel Silversin - August 12, 2007 10:16 PM (GMT)
Azirel wiped his arm off on the ground to prevent any further corrosion and Jaina healed it, and the black patches that the acidic slime had caused began to clear up, and some of his damaged flesh healed.
He noticed another man had ran into the scene and quickly finished off one of the spiders.
"Thanks," said Azirel as he ran after the last visible spider. He swung his falchion upwars and cut into its leg, nearly hacking it off. The spider screamed and jumped into the air, attempting to land on Azirel. He rolled out of the way of this one and when it landed, the leg that Azirel had already damaged fell off.
The spider swiped at him and this time hit him in the chest, he dropped his weapon and was knocked onto the ground and knocked the wind out of him. The spider crawled towards him, opened his toothy mouth and prepared to take a bite into him.
Azirel punched the spider in the face as hard as he could, and red sparks of electricity crackled around his gauntlet. He hit the spider and it squeeled and recoiled. Azirel grabbed his sword and swung it at the spider, slashing into its face. The spider let out one last squeel and fell to the ground.
Jaina - August 13, 2007 03:33 PM (GMT)
(ooc:Adiane please edit your post from teleport sai she walked, runned, jumped to there... whatever just not teleport. Thank.)
Jaina looked at Bantorra and said to him with a node of mistrust "Thank for your help stranger. It is good to see that still here are some peoples left to help others." Then she thought that he will want some kind of reward for his deeds and jaina took her gold pouch took few koins went to the man and oppened her palm and offered him the coins. Then she looked at azirel and said to him "What is the treasure here may not is what you expect. I too have came here in search of a 'treasure' of a sort but if it is real for me it will be of far greater value than to any one of this world."
Bantorra - August 13, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
"Your welcome." said Bantorra smiling as he pulled his scimitar out of the spiders head that he had killed. As the woman reached out her hand with the gold in it, Bantorra shook his head and said.
"Keep it for yourself, I have no need of a reward." He said as he sheathed his scimitar, glimmering in the moon light. Bantorra looked at both of the strangers, he wondered why they were at the spiders caves.
Jaina - August 13, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
Jaina was even more supprised when he refused to take the gold and said to him "Thank you. As i said it is good to see that there are still good peoples left." It the night was cold Jaina thinked for a moment and adressed both of them "If you wish i have camp nearby there we can start a fire and get wormer. It is getting cold here and the caves are no place to wondere in the night." Then she walked toward the 'camp' and maked hand expression to follow her.
Azirel Silversin - August 13, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
Azirel followed as Jaina led them to her camp.
He sat down against a tree that was covered in many small spiders, set his weapons and armor down on the ground, and pulled a hooded cloak out of his backpack and threw it over himself.
After rummaging through his backpack a while more, he pulled out his map and an the bottle of fizzy beverage he had recieved a few months ago.
"Um, its a bit old, but, if either of you would like some, I don't mind sharing," He said as he took a sip. It had gone flat, so it wasn't quite as good-tasting as the first time he had tried it.
He stared at his map, turning it and looking at it in different directions.
"So... Acording to this map... I have no idea where we are..." He said, still twisting and turning the map.
"Wait, I think this here is the mountains... And there's Ondoland... So we are somewhere... Around here?" He said, mostly to himself, pointing to a wierd-shaped blob of trees on the map.
"I dunno, there's no giant killer spiders on this map." He grabbed one of the little spiders of the tree and smeared it onto his map. "There, now I know where tgo if I want to get killed by gigantic eight-legged mutants," He said sarcasticly.
"So, Jaina, what is this treasure you have come here to find?" He asked, wondering what she was talking about.
Jaina - August 13, 2007 11:01 PM (GMT)
HSe refused the drink by just waving her head and laughed to his comments for the mat. It was the first time she laughed while she was here. And then came the painful question though there was nothing with the question the answer was painful. as she was siting against a tree she said "D'ana'no." and waved her hand and in the midle between her and Azirel a fireball crashed it was small but that is what jaina wanted not fowerfull one but enough to sustain a fire for a little bit. Then gave a sigh and said "It is not a treasure that i'm looking for. It is a way to get back home." She senced that he will ask something of the sort why she dont use a ship or horse to get there and she continiued "There is no other way to get back. hHere is a portal in those caves that will send me back in my realm." Jaina didnt knew if Azirel knew what the realms are but it didnt matter in this momment.
Azirel Silversin - August 13, 2007 11:09 PM (GMT)
"A way to get back into your realm?" Azirel asked, his face lighting up at the answer. Suddenly his mind was filled with hundreds of ideas. He put his armor near the fire to warm up, the metal had become very cold from the crisp night air.
"This 'treasure', it can take you back to your own realm... But what about other realms?" He asked, wildly excited by news of this dimension-teleporting device.
So, there was treasure here after all, just not the kind of treasure I was expecting... He thought to himself.
He took another sip of his drink, wishing he had something to eat.
Jaina - August 13, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
Jaina senced his intentions gave a sigh and responded "I honestly do not know to where it will take you. Before i came here i was a leader to my peoples something like a queen and one of the archeological expedition uncovered one such 'treasute'. When i went there to inspect it because we suspected that it was from the age of the Titans it just activated and in the next moment i was here in field of grass. And since the moment of my arrivel about for months ago i have never spoken for this with no one."
Azirel Silversin - August 13, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
"You were royalty? I guess it's a small world, when I was in my old world, I too was royalty, a baron, but I was killed and sent here... I kind of traded my life in hell as wel as my old life for a life here. There are only two other people on Arda who know of this, their names are Thoril Fletcher and Ethari Xilophant," He said.
Out of no where, Azirel heard another sound in the woods. "Not more spiders!" He exclaimed, although he was not sure exactly what it was. He grabbed his scimitar, leaving his armor and falchion sitting by the fire and stood up, listening for the sound he heard before.
Jaina - August 13, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)
"World is not the exact word." When the noise came she grabed her staff and quickly stood up but after few socnds a rabbit emergin from a bush. THen she giggled at it and sat at her place the ground was already warming up from her body temperature and she resumed her speaking "Well then Baron Azirel. Maybe if you wish to come with me in my world i can make you not royalty but give you power and influence. The peoples need strong leaders and alas we have none left. Our prince murdered the greatest king that ruled our lands he killed his own father." She said and could not hold a tear whisl ran down he cheek but she quickly swept it away and continiued to speak "And neither i was royalty i'm leader yes but my peoples acted as they should thy treated me as equal and we were equal." Her memories of the past brought her great pain and the pay became stronger when she thought that the portal may not exist at all.
Azirel Silversin - August 14, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
"No, call me simply 'Azirel', my days of royalty are over," Azirel said when Jaina called him "Baron Azirel".
When the rabbit hopped out of the bushes, Azirel stared at it with one eyebrow raised. "Surprising it hasn't been made into some spider's dinner..." He said, sitting back down.
When Jaina offered him a position in her world, he was tempted, but turned it down.
"It's temping, but I'm sorry, I belong in my world, or Arda," he said, setting his scimitar back down next to his armor.
He noticed his hands were freezing, so he put them on top of his Falchion of Chaos, for it gave of warmth, and his hands warmed up much faster then the fire would have.
"I can't speak for mister mysterious," he said, pointing to Bantorra, "but I will aid you in your search for this treasure."
"Now, sorry to sound like a pain, but I'm starving," Azirel said as he felt his stomach rumble.
Jaina - August 14, 2007 12:10 AM (GMT)
When Azirel refused she said "You belong to this place and i praise you never leave the way i did..." Then whent silen in thoughts and when Azirel said he was hungrly jaina oppened small bag her food was cerfuly rationed for her trip but she offered to her compannions "You both must be starving. Here eat there is more than enough." Then she huddle up and placed her back on the tree because the cold was getting to her and the fire was fain only to offer light but not warmth. THen she started humming some song tryng to relax herself.
Azirel Silversin - August 14, 2007 12:27 AM (GMT)
"Thank you," Azirel said as he took the food. He quickly ate it, and leaned against a different tree, he didn't want to be so close to the one that was covered in spiders, so he picked one with the least amount of spider web on it.
He leaned against the tree and pulled his hood over his face. He tried to relaxe, but couldn't help but feel nervous and edgey in this creepy place, especially after the encounter with the giant spiders. He also wasn't entirely sure about the other fellow, he didn't talk much, so Azirel couldn't trust him much.
He didn't quite sleep, but he leaned against the tree, relaxed, but still ready for a fight if necissary.
(OOC: So... I dunno where this is going, so feel free to pull the plot further, Jaina.
Also, say when the demon guy can come in so we can PM him.)
Bantorra - August 14, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
After the two strangers had gone to the camp, Bantorra gave one look back at the battle site with all the dead spiders, then followed. Bantorra sat at one of the trees in the camp, and sat listening to the conversation between the two strangers.
"Thank you." said Bantorra kindly accepting the food offered, "I'd be glad to help as much as I can, however much that may be." he said at the end of the conversation. After he had eaten the food, Bantorra listened to the night for a minute, then pulled the hood of his cloak over his face to try to fall asleep.
I wonder if I will be able to find my out of this forest. Bantorra thought before he went to sleep.
Jaina - August 14, 2007 11:54 AM (GMT)
"Thank you." Jaina said to Bantorra when he offered his help "But i hope we do not need help... dont get me wrong it is good to have some one to talk to but i preffer we dont get in trouble." THen when Bantorra fall asleep jaina said to Azirel "Sleep now i will keep my eye for troubles... You here call it I will take the first watch. I think that you do." She was still feeling the cold but there was nothing they could do about it if they didnt want to attrackt additional visitors and she didnt want that.
Azirel Silversin - August 14, 2007 06:26 PM (GMT)
When Jaina offered to take the first watch, Azirel nodded. "Alright, wake us if anything goes wrong, I'll take the second watch whenever you want to sleep," He said.
He put his two weapons right beside him, took one last sip of his drink and tucked it as well as his map back into his pack, he left his armor next to the fire, and curled into a ball, leaning against the tree.
He listened to the soothing crackling sounds of the fire, as he tried to rest, he decided that, as long as Jaina was keeping watch, he could sleep, so he closed his eyes and slowly slipped off to sleep. He didn't dream at all, but instead saw flashing images of the demon, Rahsmiir and the giant spiders that attacked him earlier.
Suddenly, he saw a flash of a humungous red demon, fighting Bantorra, Jaina and him, which woke him up. Jaina was still awake.
Azirel rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and sat up, yawning. "If you wish to sleep, I can keep watch now," he offered.
Jaina - August 15, 2007 04:25 PM (GMT)
"It have only been fifteen minutes." She said with a smile. When she looked upon him she asked "Nightmare?" And to a point she knew the answer because he would not wake up so early if there was nothing wrong with his dream. After that she stood up and started to walk around while tryng to warm her hands.
Azirel Silversin - August 15, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
"Yes, a nightmare, I hope it wasn't some sort of vision, because if it is, we should either prepare for a battle, or leave this place," Azirel said in response to Jaina's question.
"You don`t need to sleep, but I will stay awake, for I do not wish to be taken by surprise, if you stay up, we can double the watch. Or you may sleep if you wish," Azirel said.
(Eek, reaaaalllly short post)
Jaina - August 15, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
"If you think it is a vision maybe you should tell me? And i need not sleep i cant sleep anyways. Just by thinking that i can go home my heart will burst out." Then she stopped walking and returned back to her place and sat back at the ground. THen after few momments she said "We beleved that our dreams are reflecion of your expiriences or sometimes a hidden feelings and emotions." She didnt knew what else to say for now so she went silet and stared at the fire.
Azirel Silversin - August 15, 2007 05:35 PM (GMT)
"No, it can't be a past experience... It was a demon... And we were fighting it, in some cave... I can't really remember any details..." He said. "But it looked very powerful, and I think you were hurt badly..."
He stepped up, thinking of why he would have such a strange dream, nothing like that had ever happened before, but then he thought of Rahsmiir. He had no idea what his limits were, maybe it was a warning from him. Maybe he was the demon!
"Jaina, I have to leave! For yours and Bantorra's safety," Azirel suddenly birst out, he picked up his weapons and began putting on his armor.
(OOC: OMG! I JUST GOT A CRAZY IDEA, I SHALL PM YOU!)
Jaina - August 15, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
She didnt want to part ways with him especialy in the night and said "But what if i was hurt because you were not there and he got me from ambush?" She knew that a a sense of guilt could make him stay besides she felt safer with him atleast she knew a bit about him and she knew nothing about Bantorra. Though Bantorra seened good person she could not rely on him to keep her beck because she didnt knew him.
Azirel Silversin - August 15, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
"You don't understand," Azirel replied. "This demon, it isn't what you think, trust me, if I'm with you and the demon shows up, I won't be any help to you at all," He said as he lowered his helmet onto his head.
If it was Rahsmiir who he saw, he knew that Jaina and Bantorra would be in grave danger. Even Ethari Xilophant, the most powerful Angel he had met for himself, and Raphael, a half-dragon warrior of somesort, could barely hold off Rahsmiir, he didn't know if Jaina and Bantorra would be able to.
He fastened his weapons onto himself and realised, What if it was a vision, wouldn't that mean it was inevitable?
Jaina - August 15, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
"I understand more than you could immagine. I fought many demons beasts and fiends... i iven killed.... dosent matter i killed many such demons. And if we face him we better be together than sepperate. In unity lies strenght." She said. After few moments of silance she poke once more "But if you realy want to go i will not try to stop you." She knew that if he leave it wont be the same but she wished not to stop him.
Azirel Silversin - August 15, 2007 06:14 PM (GMT)
"You do not understand," Azirel finally decided to explain. "I told you of my past, and that if I see my own reflection I become a demon, I believe that the demon in my dream was Rahsmiir, the demon inside me. If you are near me if I transform, he would certainly try to kill you," He said.
"But if you wish I can come with you," Azirel said, trying to make himself believe that what he saw was not a vision, but some kind of wierd messed up projection from Rahsmiir, or that the demon in his dream was not Rahsmiir, but someone else.
Jaina - August 15, 2007 06:21 PM (GMT)
"As i said i understand. But only being strong could you hope do defeat him. As i said i fought many deamons and i know how to defend my self.... i have heard that in this world many places hold powerfull magic agains demons and if you wish we can find one such place and rid you of him." She said hoping to make him reconsider and stay.
(OOC:oops short post but didnt knew what else to say)
Azirel Silversin - August 15, 2007 06:30 PM (GMT)
"Fine, I shall stay, but after you find what your searching for, I must leave and try to rid myself of Rahsmiir," Azirel decided.
"Shall we wake Bantorra and leave now, or wait?" Azirel asked, as he sat back down, warming his hands over the smouldering remainder of the fire.
(OOC: Yea, we need to get some action in here, my post are getting shorter and shorter. This one = Excactly 50 words.)
Jaina - August 15, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
"Maybe it is for the best to wake him up." Thne she went to Bantorra pushed him few times with her hands and spoke to him with her soft voice "Wake up Bantorra!
We must be going it is not safe here anylonger." HE didnt seem to be sleeping deep but Jaina could not detirmene now.
(OOC: heh mine was 56)
Bantorra - August 15, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
Sometime in the night, Bantorra couldn't tell how long he had been asleep, he was pushed by the woman and told to wake up.
"What is it?" asked Bantorra, making sure all his gear was still with him. He wondered how long he had slept, it didn't seem long, so he was worried if they were in danger.
I don't see anything. Bantorra thought as he got up.
Jaina - August 15, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
"Sorry to wake you up it have been only few minutes but we have to pack up and leave. Azirel think he got a vision and we agreed that we should get out of here and we could not leave you alone." Then as she was above him she offered her hand so he could get up quickly. After this she turned to Azirel and said "Take your gear we are going to search for treasures." Then again she spoke to Bantorra "we are goig into the caves should you wish you can come with us or you could leave.... by the way name is Jaina." She told him her name because she forgot to do it when they met.
Bantorra - August 15, 2007 10:07 PM (GMT)
"Jaina, eh? I will come with you if you don't mind my company." said Bantorra, taking her hand to help himself up, "I don't think I told you my name earlier, my name is Bantorra."
I haven't had a good battle in awhile, so if she needs my help, all the better. Bantorra thought as he stood up and faced the two people with him.
Jaina - August 15, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
It was nice to meet some one new though in ill and odd place and circumstances and she said "Always a pleasure to meet some one new. And under no way i could mind your company. You are welcome to come with us besides if we find for what we are all searching for you will become very wealthy man." Because she heard that the device is in a vault with 'endless' treasures and if the part about the device was true she would not need the riches that were burryed in the caves.
Azirel Silversin - August 15, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
Azirel stood up. "So it's agreed, we leave now?" He said, fastening his helmet around his face. He sheathed his weapons, fastened the scabbards onto his belt and threw his pack over his shoulder.
"Do you have any idea where these caves are?" He asked, hoping Jaina actually knew where she was going.
"The man in Estolad said that the cave that the treasure was in was like 'the gaping jaws of dragon, jutting out at least fifty feet before actually boring into the mountain, and above the mouth of the cave, two humongous rubies.' He said that he went after the rubies at first, 'but it was like they had some sort of mystical protection.' " Azirel said, twice quoting the excact words of the man.
