Title: going underneath

Sora - December 27, 2005 10:42 PM (GMT)
Sora peacefully looked at the lake, her cold blue eyes traveling from one spot to another. The lake was deserted at that time, noboy around, She would have thought that a lot of people would be already here, spending their time with joy, but now she knew she was wrong. She walked up to the lake looking into the water, seeing herself in the water. She noticed how much she had changed. Both her hair and eyes.. not only her appearance but her mind as well. She tilted her head, and then looking back up, she sighed. She took off her shoes and then sinking them into the water, she pulled it back quickly, the cold water almost freezing her foot. "Cold.." she muttered to herself. She looked up, seeing the clouds were grey. She sighed, her eyes downcasting again. She sat like that, just for a few minutes... when......

Sijal Rathel - December 30, 2005 04:02 PM (GMT)
Sijal watched the young women from behind a thicket and a few trees. She was staring stragiht into the dark, deep, blue lake. He could tell she was worried, unsure about something. Slowly the young women took off her shoes and lowered her feet into the lake and then pulled them back quickly, suprised.

The women then stared at the sky for a few moments and then slumped, looking at the ground, her eyes unfocused. She stayed that way for a few mintues. Questions buzzed through Sijal's mind. Is she hurt? Sick? Should I help her?

Before his brain could process an answer he got up and started to walk toward the young women. "Hey, are you ok?" he said softly, walking slowly out of the brush. "I..I..I thought you were hurt or sick." His silver eyes were soft and his voice was a bit shaky.

Sora - December 30, 2005 07:15 PM (GMT)
Sora immediatly looked up seeing a guy there. her hand going immeidatly to her sword. "She saw how he stammered. Is he possibly afraid? her thoughts trailed off. She sat there, her feet cold, and she got up. Somehow, she felt a small glow inside her. "No.. my mind is just.. somewhere else.." she said quielty. She quietly slipped her feet out of the freezing water. Her feet were numb and she just stayed that way. Her eyes traveled along the floor. She stood up now, ignoing her feet, She bowed like she always did when she met another person. "Hello.. my name is sora.. its a pleasure to meet you.." she said quietly. She was actually paying respect to somebody, a complete stranger.

Sijal Rathel - December 30, 2005 07:36 PM (GMT)
Sijal gave an audible sigh of relief. Thank the gods shes ok. He looked down at Sora. "My name is Sijal Rathel, nice to meet you Sora," his voice had a clear tone of relief to it. He never was really this soft and nice to a complete stranger, he was changing.

"Why are you here, alone," he gestured around at the large lake and the deserted woods and banks, "I heard many people venture to this lake for the undescribable beauty, but, you are the only being I have seen for many miles. What brings you here."

Sora - December 31, 2005 01:59 AM (GMT)
She froze at the question. "There is no one else to be here with.." she said quietly to him. She looked down towards the ground and she suddenly dropped down to the ground looking at the lake again. He's gone.. I almost forgot that... Nox... Tears threatned to fall, but she held them back. She couldn't cry right now. She leaned over the lake, and dipping a hand in, she stayed like that for a few seconds until she composed herself. However, she still stayed there, just looking at the lake, probably lost in her own thought now.

OOC: Sorry this is soo short.. -_-; BIC:

Sijal Rathel - December 31, 2005 04:18 AM (GMT)
((OOC: Don't worry about how long your posts are. I just like to write, it relaxs me. B) ))

Sijal watched as the young women dopped to her knees, reaching her hand in the lake water, her eyes were again soft and she seemed ready to cry. Again he questioned, "Are you ok, you surely seem worried or...disappointed about something?"

"You can tell me what you are so worried about", he said, his voice soft and not the usual sharp, gravelly, rasp, "Or if you don't want to, it's your choice." Sijal looked up and scanned the surronding landscape. It was peaceful and serene, not like the crowded and bustling city streets he was used to.

He looked back at Sora. Her eyes were unfocused and distant yet again and she seemed to be in some distant world. He was so unsure why he was worried about the women, in his everyday life he was a ruthless killer barely making a life on the streets.

Sijal closed his eyes and sighed, concentrating on the sound of the trees and foliage rustling peacfuly and the birds singing their soft melodys in the slight breeze.

Sora - December 31, 2005 03:35 PM (GMT)
Sora looked up at Sijal, snapping out of her little far away world. "It's not what i'm worried about.. its what had happened.." she said quietly. Again, that flashback, him dieing on the floor, just still, the corspe just staring back at her. She felt guilty for what had happened, even though it was his own decision. She couldn't help it, one tear rolled down her cheek, but being the person she was, she wiped it away, hoping he didn't see. "Sijal... I lost..." she said quietly. "I lost my life... I lost him.." she said quietly, her fists tightning. Everything was spilling for some strange reason. Everything that was inside her head, every thought and image was spilling. "It was because of him.. Nox.." Her eyes watered at the name. "He died... He was fighting an enemy of his.. one that killed his clan, and I came into the picture... " she closed her eyes, trying to ease the pain in her chest. "I fell unconscience.. while we were both fighting.. and Nox... he just... I don't exactly know what happened.. but his enemy died.. and instead of healing himself.. he healed me instead.." Tears started to spill from her blue eyes. Keeping them still, towards the ground. "IT was because of me.. that he died.." she choked over her words, she couldn't continue. She broke into sobs as she sank lower and lower to the ground, her shoulders shaking from her crying. When was it that I cried this much... when was it.. that my chest hurt this much.. just over a person dying.. in my prescence.. she thought, she stayed there, her sobs breaking through the calm atmosphere. It wasn't just cries.. it was cries for comfort, help, she couldn't do this on her own.. she needed someone..

Sijal Rathel - December 31, 2005 05:26 PM (GMT)
Sijal watched Sora with guilt on his face. I made her remember terrible things... What have I done..? He watched as she cried, trying to think of a way to comfort her. She must have looked up to or loved this Nox...and he must have loved her because he saved her instead of himself.

He looked up, his eyes absently wandering over the lake and surronding trees, "Nox must have known that your life was somehow more important than his own, he must have loved you to do what he did Sora, cry for him if you must, but his death was not your fault, it was his choice."

Sijal turned away and looked up at the soft blue sky.

Sora - December 31, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
Sora's sobs subsided into silent cries but they immediatly stopped. She rubbed her puffy red eyes. "Hey.. let's go... before it turns dark.. " she was suddenly reminded again. "Wait.. is tonight going to be a full moon?" she asked. She suddenly froze. Her posture becoming tense again. She looked aorund the lake, seeing that the sun was already setting. "Do you know?" she asked, the guilt from her voice disappearing and replacing it, it was a cold one, with a tiny bit of fear in them. Her eyes looked towards the lake. She muttered a few curses under her breath for being so stupid. It was going to be a full moon tonight.. she was positive. This feeling inside her stomach, she wanted to come out.. she wanted to come out tonight.. and do what she had to to destroy her close friends. She cursed more, louder this time. She eventually stopped and she sighed. The sky was now turning a dark red color.

Sijal Rathel - December 31, 2005 06:01 PM (GMT)
"So, your a half angel and tonight, you will come into your demonic form" he said, a glint of suprise in his eyes, "Yes tonight will be a full moon, do you know were the nearest city is?" He looked to the west, the sun was a blood red and he wore a worried expression on his face.

"What happens...when you come into your demonic form?" Sijal asked, Sora's eyes were red rimmed from the earlier sobbing and she looked exhausted. Is there any possibile way to stop this from happening? His mind was filled with possibilities what could happen to him or Sora.

Sora - December 31, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
She winced, he knew. She was afraid of this. "Ummm.." she hesitated. Then he asked that question. "Isn't it obvious what I do.. I kill..." she said quietly, she closed her eyes. "leave... you can't do anything to stop it.. and i'm not going to go into town to try and stop it.." she said coldly towards him. Never should have been close in the first place.. she thought to herself. Taking out her sword her eyes held coldness in them, but underneath, she was crying. She didn't want to do this.. but she had to. "Go back where you came from! NOw! I never wanted you here in the first place!" she shouted loudly towards him, her voice ringing out throughout the lake. She glared at him, her blue eyes, cold and unforgiving. Her insides were squriming, she didn't want to do this.. but she had to. "I'm sorry.. but I can't let you get hurt.." she muttered to herself, hoping he wouldn't here her words. She stood there, her sword outstretched pointed towards him.

Sijal Rathel - December 31, 2005 06:21 PM (GMT)
"If I must," he said casting one last glace at Sora. The moon is changing her and she doesn't want me to be hurt. He drew his bow and knocked an arrow, just incase, he thought. He yelled back to her, "Meet me here tommorow morning if you are ok then, we have more to talk about."

He broke into a quick sprint keeping one eye on Sora and the other on the trees looming darkly in front of him. He wished they could of talked more and the way she had screamed at him had hurt his feelings but it was the change and she did not want him hurt.

He lept quickly up onto a large tree branch and continued speeding, leaping branch to branch. A twig snapped behind him and there was the slight sound of paced breathing behind him, he sped on, death was on his heels...

Sora - December 31, 2005 08:28 PM (GMT)
Sora saw that dark had approached and the moonlight gloomed over her. She felt her heart fill with pain. Her heart was becoming dark once more. She gritted her teeth, not wanting to make a sound. The pain was unbearable and this, she screamed. Her eye color changed to a red color and her hair grew longer, red tips forming. Her nails became longer, and sharper, as she rushed foward. "Now now.. sora.. trying to hide a friend from me?.." she said to herself. She smirked. "Now .. let's go find my prey for tonight.. " She started sprinting towards the human who dared cross her path. SHe smelled him out, and soon was right behind her trail. "my my... you will die soon.." she said quietly as she rushed foward, going faster. Now, she was running right next to him, her red eyes gleamed. "it's too bad... " she said quietly to him. "You'll be the second to die.. I pity her you know.. she cares for you... sooo much...and yet.. i'll have to kill.. because.. i need the blood.." A smirk appeared as she lunged towards him while running, if he didn't dodge soon, then her long nails would lodge themselves in his stomach, and probably from the lack of blood.

Sijal Rathel - December 31, 2005 08:41 PM (GMT)
He looked back. Sora had turned purely evil and was trying to kill him. What could he do. All of a sudden the demon smirked and leapt out at him, Sijal leaped, almost ten feet into the air. He had still been peirced but not as horribly. He had a long gash down his left side that was bleeding in a steady stream.

Sijal put pressure on the wound with his left arm and continues to leap tree to tree, trying to lose the horrible being laughing merciliess behind him. Quickly he turned around and quickly lept over the demon running back towards the lake.

He ran on faster then he had ever run before yet the demon never seemed to exhaust itself. Finally Lake Aelin was in front of him. The last tree next to the shore of lake was only a couple hundred feet in front of him.

The beast had caught up to him and was laughing hystericly. He looked it in its crimson eyes with hatred and then, just as the demon was going to grab him with her long, sharp nails Sijal took a deep breath and lept straight into the cold, black water of the lake.

Sora - December 31, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
The demon stopped half way, she didn't want to get wet, lets just say, she was afraid of water. She couldn't swim, she didn't know how to. "you have to come up for breath eventually.." she said quietly, her eyes looking at the water, trying to find any trace of the man. "He's going to die when he comes up for breath.." she said quietly as she took out a few throwing daggers from her pocket. You can't!don't hurt him! This is still my body.. and I still have control over it! her htoughts screamed. The demon suddenly held her head as a screamed pierced her mind. She also started to scream. "This is my time to be out! YOu have no control over that whatsoever.." she said quietly as she onc eagain took full control of the body. She smirked as she began to get ready. That guy was going to be dead.

Sijal Rathel - December 31, 2005 10:01 PM (GMT)
Sijal opened his eyes, the water was freezing! Am I going to die from this crazy demon or freezing in a lake? He swam as fast and as hard as he could, if he reached the center of the lake he would hopefully be out range, or at least have enough time to stay out and wait for sunrise.

His lungs felt as if they were going to burst, he had been holding his breath for over two minutes and he didn't know how far away from Sora he was or how far away from shore was.

He came up for breath trying to suck air in before he even broke the water which caused him to take down a mouthful of horribly salty water. He looked back to where Sora was perched in a tree in her demon form. I hope she doesn't see me...

Sora - December 31, 2005 10:38 PM (GMT)
Sora saw him, he was right there. She got ready, as she grabbed her throwing dagger, and aiming she threw it, directly at him. "You will die!" she hissed. as she threw one of them, with precision. "well well well.. try dodging that..." sheh said quietly. She jumped off the tree then coming to the edge of the lake, she threw anohther one at him, smirking slightly, a smile on her face. "If you don't die now... we're going to have a long night together.." she said quietly with a smirk. "And by morning, you will be dead.." she said quietly to her. her face gleaming with pride.

Sijal Rathel - December 31, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
Siajl dodged smoothly to the left but the dagger found it's mark piercing his left shoulder. He pulled the dagger out and uttered minor heal to reform flesh over the cut to stop the bleeding.

He dove back under, swimming straight towards the demon, a plan forming in his head. She must be afraid of water or else she would have came after me. I have to get her into the water. He put the dagger in between his teeth and paddle towards shore as quickly as his arms and legs could allow.

Sijal leapt up, throwing dagger ready in his and. The demon was still staring out where he was minutes before throwing dagger after dagger. He look careful aim at the demon's ankle and threw the dagger as hard and as quickly as he could, hoping it would hit and she would lose balance, falling into the lake.

Sora - January 1, 2006 02:41 AM (GMT)
Sora looked at that dagger that was aimed at her leg and she howled in pain as she grasped it, falling backwards onto the grass. "Well that helps a lot.." she muttered to herself. She grabbed, feeling the blood dripping down her ankle. She couldn't move, she couldn't get up without the support of that leg. "Dang.. he got the one that I use the most " she muttered. She struggled to get up, but unfortunatly couldn't. "Hmmm... well try to get out,, i'll start throwing.. she said, taking out another throwing dagger as she lied down on the grass looking up, her leg stretching outwards. trying to rest itself.

Sijal Rathel - January 1, 2006 02:50 AM (GMT)
He watched as his dagger peirced her ankle and she fell backwards...right onto the grass. "Damn," he said swiftly stringing his bow and knocking an arrow. He leaped up a tree, hopefully the shadows would be concealing him at this time of night.

Sijal balanced nimbly on the branches as if he were an expert rope walker until he was almost directly over Sora's demonic form. He leaped from the tree, not making a sound and landed directly over Sora.

He swiftly grabbed her wrists and pinned them to the ground, making sure that the dagger was not pointed at him. "I think it's time for your bath," he said, his voice full of hatred and his eyes burning a gleaming silver color.

Sora - January 1, 2006 02:56 AM (GMT)
"This is an odd position isn't it.." she said to him. Her eyes looked at his, showing pure laughter. Her red eyes gleamed. "Well.. bath or not.. i'm not going in there.." she said with a smile, showing sharp white teeth. She quickly bit onto his arm, probably causing pain to shoot up his arm and also causing him to let go of her. Her long nails also tried gripping his wrist, trying to cut him as well. "your not going to get me into the bath.." she said, her voice muffled by her bite on his arm.

Sijal Rathel - January 1, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
He let out a gruff bark and pulled his wrist back. "Your really starting to piss me off," he said slowly. His left arm was spilling blood. He put pressure to it. "I really hate to do this," he said, his voice a mixture of hate and guilt.

He swiftly dodged her long nails and thin nails then grabbed back at the demons neck strangling her. he picked her up, her legs lashing out at him, kicking hardly in the chest and legs, knocking the wind out of him.

He was going to exert all his strength on one last move, the blood loss causing his skin to become even plaer then it was before. He would soon lose conciouness. This Better work. He thought scornfully to himself, it could cost him his life.

He whipped Sora out as far as he could into the shallows then fell onto his knees, The moon losing it's vibrance and light.

Sora - January 1, 2006 03:25 AM (GMT)
Sora looked at him and suddnely, she became scared, fear in her eyes. THen bein gthe person she was, she was thrown into the room, the wind being knocked out of her. She fell into the freezing water. She plunged in, taking a deep breath of water but came up to get air. Her feet barely touched the ground and she lifted her head, getting a deep breath of air, coughing hard. "You... " she coughed again. She started walking again, towards him. She put pressure on her foot and she sunk again. She looked up, seeing the tint of light. "Damn.." she whispered. The sun came up, now, her going to the normal state and becoming unconscience so she fell into the water, sinking down towards the ground.

Sijal Rathel - January 1, 2006 03:42 AM (GMT)
Sijal awoke as the soon came over the horizon. "Sora!" he glanced to his left towards the lake, as he had awoken she had collapsed. He ran towards her. Please, please, let her be alive. He ran and put his index and middle finger against her neck, checking her pulse.

She was fine, yet unconcious. He picked her up and walked to a warm sunny spot away from the slight breeze of the lake. He checked her pierced ankle, he wouldn't be able to heal it back to perfect condition but he could stop the bleeding and try to heal the muscle the dagger had peirced.

He bent over and uttered the minor heal spell. Slowly the skin on her ankle began to form over and the muscle was repaired, barly. He walked over to a tree and colected a few brambles and twigs then walked down to the lake shore in search of flint and a stone he could strike it with.

Sijal found what he was looking for in about thirty minutes and walked back to Sora, glad that she was herself and not that demonic evil she was before. He walked back to where the tinder was laid out and struck the flint three times before the tinder lit, casting a bright light over Sora's shadowed face.

He leaned back against a tree and inhaled the thick smell of salt, and went to sleep.

Sora - January 1, 2006 04:24 AM (GMT)
Sora coughed becoming conscience again. "Sijal!" she yelled as she shot upwards, seeing him right there. She rushed towards him, looking him over. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry.. I didn't mean to..." she trailed off, her body now slumping. "Sorry.." she said quietly, her eyes on the floor. "I didn't mean for her.. to... hurt you..' she closed her eyes her fists tightened her nail digging into her palm, leaving nail marks on her hand. "I didn't mean to.." I hurt another... when is it going to end.. she thought. Her tears stinged her eyes, trying not to cry. "Sorry.." she muttered again as she bowed towards him with respect. "I'm really sorry.." she bowed again. She was shaking now, she was angry at herself for being that way. Why was she that way in the first place. Her thoughts were going wild now emotions building up.

Raven Silverflame - January 1, 2006 05:58 AM (GMT)
((Can I join?))

Sora - January 1, 2006 01:19 PM (GMT)
((You didn't have to ask.. but okay.. you can join.. ^-^))

Raven Silverflame - January 1, 2006 01:53 PM (GMT)
Raven stared at the scene around her. There were two people...and one of them seemed to be hurt. She lingered around the trees, doubting whether or not she should go and see what was wrong. Finally, she decided to go. She walked over to them.

"Is there anything wrong?" she asked.

Sijal Rathel - January 1, 2006 10:46 PM (GMT)
Sijal looked up with curiosity at the women who had just approached them. "No ma'am, theres no problem here." He stood up slowly and cracked his neck then bowed low to the newcomer. "My name is Sijal Rathel and this is my dear friend Sora," he said.

He looked around slowly, and then at Sora. "I'm fine by the way, I was just taking a nap. You should really get your weight off of that ankle and prop it up, it's not fully healed."

Sora - January 1, 2006 11:00 PM (GMT)
Sora looked up at Jason. "It's fine.." she said quietly. She rubbed her ankle, feeling it falter so tha she winced. "it's fine.." she whispered again as she got up slowly. 'i'm fine.." she leaned against the tree and then glaring at the girl, she didn't replyto her but merely just looked at the ground, not wanting to talk to her at all. She looked at her sword which was laying down nearby. ALthough she wanted to get it, she couldn't, her ankle hurt too much. "damn.." she muttered to herself, wincing again and closing her eyes, trying to get rid of the pain.

Sijal Rathel - January 1, 2006 11:58 PM (GMT)
Sijal watched as Sora cast a glance at her sword. What was she going to do? Kill the women that had just walked up to us? He looked back up at the young women in front of him then back out at the lake.

The breeze was thin and their was a slight smell of salt in the air. It was already mid-afternoon and his stomach was rumbling. He walked over to Sora's sword bent over, picked it up, then set it by her side.

"Don't talk about what went on last night," he whispered, taking a quick at the women in from of him, "We don't want you in any trouble." He stood up and causually leaned against a tree, looking at the forest oppisite of the lake.

Raven Silverflame - January 2, 2006 02:41 AM (GMT)
Raven stared at them. The man, Sijal, told her that there was nothing wrong, but for some reason, she didn't really believe that. She bent down and inspected Sora's ankle.

"You're sure everything's okay?" she asked, "Your ankle looks pretty messed up."

Sora - January 2, 2006 03:33 AM (GMT)
Sora, being the person she was quickly withdrew, and tripping over a root branch, she fell backwards onto the ground. She was breathing heavily, grabbing her ankle again. "it's fine.." she spat out. "I just need to rest.." her voice trailed off. Her blue eyes rested on Sijal and she nodded her head, not a lot, but just a bit, telling him that he was right, they needed to keep this a secret. Her blue eyes glared at the girl telling her not to get close to her. I don't want anything to do with her.. what am I talking about.. I dont' want anything to do with both of them! her thoughts trailed off. She mentally hit herself in the head for being so stupid. "Crap.." she muttered to herself as she picked herself up from the ground and heavily leaning on her good leg, got up with support of the tree. Her breathing was uneven, well what did you expect, she just transformed from good to bad and she was weak from the battle.

Sijal Rathel - January 2, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
Sijal walked over to Sora and bent down, leaning close to her. "I know you don't want to be near me, you don't want me to get hurt, I know. But please, just let me stay with you until your ankle gets better." He at the fire and tossed her a sweet cake.

"Eat it, you'll feel better with something in your stomach." He turned his attention back the the other women.

"We were just coming to the lake to see it, she twisted her ankle in a small hole and she just needs to rest. Don't worry about us, were fine. You can join us by the fire though.

Sora - January 2, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
Sora nodded her head again. She caught the sweet cake, and sinking towards the ground, she slowly began to eat it. Then hearing the conversation, she msiled slightly. He was a good liar, at least she thought. Finishing the sweet cake, she did feel better. "Thank you.." she muttered, her eyes onthe ground. She looked at the fire, the light reflecting off of her blue eyes. Fire and ice, mixingl fighting. She quickly looked away and her eyes were heavy now. She hasn't been sleeping all night, and her being the one fighting and all, she was tired, basically, she wasout of energy and such. "She tried keeping her eyes opened the whole time, but now and then, she would just drift off.

Sijal Rathel - January 2, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
Sijal watched as Sora drifted off to sleep and wanted to follow suit but something about the young women in front of him was keeping him awake. He looked up at the sky and sighed, another day wasted he thought to himself.

If he didn't get sleep anytime soon he would pass out from exhaustion. He took out a peice of flint and one of his new daggers and began to sharpen them. Sijal looked over at Sora, still peacefuly sleeping.

Raven Silverflame - January 2, 2006 08:43 AM (GMT)
Raven sighed.

"Well, all right," she said, sitting down. She looked up at the sky for a moment before turning her attention to the others. Sora had fallen asleep and Sijal was busy sharpening daggers. The forest meanwhile was full of activity as nocturnal animals--owls and the like began coming out. Far away in the distance, she thought she heard the howls of wolves but closed her eyes. It was probably just the wind.

Sora - January 2, 2006 01:55 PM (GMT)
Hearing the wolves awoken her. She quickly looked up seeing the moon and she shivered. "I don't wantto be here.." she muttered to herself. She rubbed her eyes, she was still tired. However, she could hear the soudns of the wolves clearly. "They are here.. we need to run.." she said quietly. "Wolves basically mean trouble.. at least to me.. they will eat you alive if they are hungry enough and seeing how it is becoming to turn cold, yea they are hungry.. and I think they found us.." she said quietly to them. She sat still, almost calmly.

Sijal Rathel - January 2, 2006 05:42 PM (GMT)
Sijal stood up and strung his bow after strapping his daggers back into his belt. He looked to the east calmly, the howls of wolves could clearly be heard throughout the lake and forest. "I agree," he said slowly to Sora, "Wolves usually mean trouble. Do you two want to run or fight."

The shrill howls of the wolves were coming closer. He knocked an arrow and kept two others in his left hand, closing one eye and taking careful aim in the direction of the wolves harsh howling.

The sun had set only minutes ago and it was a cloudy night, meaning there was not going to be much light from the moon but, Sijal was fine, being able to see better then humans in light or none.

Sora - January 2, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
"no.. i'll fight..." she said, leaning on her good leg. She picked up her sword as she was getting up, and by doing that, she lost her balance, now leaning on her injured leg, she let out a yelp and she leaned against the tree again. "Jeesh.." she said quietly to herself. She limped into her fighting position, she closed her eyes, ignoring the throbbing pain in her ankle and she heard it, the running, the pads touching against the earth. "They are in packs.." she muttered. She put up her sword. "We can fight them off easily. " she said quietly to both of them. Her blue eyes were icy once more and they looked towards the direction where she heard the howls. They had stopped and now, she couldn't even heard them running. She looked confused for a second. There was total silence, not even the wind was moving. Something wasn't right.
