Title: Dmoney vs. Arthur Pendragon
Description: Grand Ardian Tourney Round 1

Luke Duke - August 11, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
Shades of green writhed and shifted in the grassy clearing as wind slid through it, and clouds passed by overhead, dragging shadows over the land. A sound of falling water could be heard through out the forest, whether in the form of a subtle whisper or rumbling avalanche. The clearing saw the loudest of this scale, but even so, the waterfall that stood just beside it brought about a peaceful, moist smell that softened the air and made the area quite pleasant. Sparkling colors of the spectrum danced about the watery spray at the bottom of the waterfall, and the river that ran in its wake was shallow and clean, with translucent waters highlighted by shimmering fish and shiny minerals that years of running water had unearthed.

The clearing itself was grassy and untrodden; indeed, it was a tiny oasis sheltered by great trees at two sides, with the other protected by a rock face and waterfall. A boulder sat just near the middle of the clearing with a few small ferns sprouting from the ground around its rough surface. Aside from this, the area of grass was clean and debris-free. Facing the clearing from the other side of the river was a small stretch of beach where several stands had been set up, from where spectators could watch the ensuing fight and enjoy the shade of trees that hung just over the water's edge. The stands were full of individuals from all age groups. One young girl held a poster of a poorly-drawn winged man fighting another man with jet black hair. One was missing an arm; the other, a leg and what appeared to be an eye. Or a nose. Luke Duke leaned over the girl, shuddered, and stepped away, towards a shoddy, make-shift bridge. Kids these days... Sheesh. He thought to himself.

Even with the sound of the waterfall, the sounds of conversation and cheers from the stands could be heard. “Ooh! I've been looking forward to this match for the past month!” Bellowed one man to his companion, who shook his head eagerly, brandishing a short sword. “I know! I'm bound ta learn a thing're two from 'em! 'Specially that Kenyari fellow. You know he's a half-demon?” A tall, bearded man in front of the two turned around at this comment. “Half-demon? Pa-lease. Arthur Pendragon's a half-dragon. Have you seen how big dragons are? C-razy.” To this, the Kenyari fan threw his hands in the air. “He's a half-dragon that slays dragons! What's up with that?” His companion nodded. “That's just plain contradictory right there.”

Luke cracked his knuckles and laid out atop the boulder in the clearing, slipping a small plant between his lips. Arthur Pendragon and Kenyari... Uh. He removed a scroll from his side and looked at the contestant names. Kenyari's last name was smudged, and he couldn't read it. Ah well, no matter. I wonder who will win? And how long must I wait? There were bets on both sides of the battle; in fact, there was substantial betting throughout the matches. There were plenty of people making quite a bit of money off these matches. Luke wasn't one of them.

Volunteering for judging the matches... What's wrong with me? He sighed and sat up at the approach of the two contestants, standing to his impressive height on top of the boulder. “Welcome, both of you. Your match will begin as soon as you're ready. I'm sure you've read the rules, but I must reiterate something: you must take care with your attacks as to not injure the spectators on the other side of the river.” He nodded in the direction of the stands. “Injuries to the fans due to your carelessness may result in your loss of the match.” The knight scratched the back of his head, suddenly grinning. “But I'm sure you know this already! Again, start when you will, and enjoy the match. Good luck to both of you.” With this, he leaped from the boulder and made his way to the river's side, to watch the match with the fans.

Arthur Pendragon - August 11, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
Arthur had waited months for a challenge like this, he had wanted for awhile now to test his skills in a battle arena. He knew in this tournament hosted by The Guardian of the Sun himself that the best would come from all around to join. They had and Arthur was among them, he was not here for the prize or the money but the glory of fighting the best, the glory of using all of his honed skills to win that was why he was here. He was not sure abour the man he was about to face, he had heard he was some sort of half demon and Arthur knew he was in for a real fight. He had confidence that this match was going to be one for the record a half-dragon versus half-demon was sure to yeild a good fight.

Before going out onto the field Arthur hung back looking around taking a few moments to himself. He drew the sword at his side and looked at the steel of the blade. It was shiuning brightly having been polished the day before the sracthes on the blade were no longer there as it looked almost brand new but it wasn't it still had the look of mutch use. Its hilt which was wrapped in leather was slightly worn but still capable of being used. He flourished the blade once and said," Old friend make me proud today, you have been with me in many a battle help me today".

He sheathed his sword tightenign it and then he tightened teh sword on his back and then made sure his chainmail was on right. He then grabbed up his elven light sheild and slung across the back and entered the arena. He looked to the judge and bowed to him and said," We who are about to battle salute you". He then turned to his opponet and drew his blade and saluted his opponet and said," Let us fight honorably and give a good show". He then got in his stance and pulled out his sheild and said," Lets go my blade and show him what a half-dragon can do". He then waited for his opponent to move.

Dmoney - August 12, 2007 01:32 AM (GMT)
The now full demon by the name of Kenyari, had signed up for a tournament held by the one and only guardian of sun himself. Kenyari eagerly waited for the tournament to start by passing the time doing various tasks and jobs to train him for this event. It had been nearly four months since he sent his application and was accepted for the match of titans. He was ready for the fight and was hoping to win. Unlike most would say he was actually in this for the money as well as to show everyone the true power that this now fully demon possessed.

Before the tournament however Kenyari had under gone a severe physical and mental change. Everyone called him a half demon, but the truth was there was an horrible event that turned him into a full demon. He was no longer half human, or half demon. He had no more human in him. He was now nothing but hate, death, and destruction here to wreak havoc on the world starting with the best fighters of this tournament.

Kenyari had been in the falls for a few days now, ever since he heard of his first match in the tournament to be in these falls. He had been here so that he could get accustom to the climate and landscape of the falls so that he would not start this fight knowing nothing about his surroundings. He was there when people had started to put together stands for spectators as well as set everything else up for this match. Ken didn’t interfere with them nor bother them in any way. He went on about his business and let everyone be.

“We are ready for you sir” a man dressed in white said to ken interrupting him from the demon from his warm up and practice time. “Ok” was the only thing that came out of the mouth of the demon before he turned, picked up his weapons and follow the strangely dressed man to the battle field.

His opponent was already within the battle grounds and the sounds of cheering could be heard as he walked into the area designated area for this fight. The atmosphere was wonderful as the spectators cheered waved their hands waiting for the start of this battle.

“Hey he’s not kenyari” a man from the stands had yelled out while kenyari was getting into place across from his opponent. With an evil look across his face the demon warrior turned to the stands and started making his way to the person who said that. Pure terror fell upon the face of the people in the stands as they could see kenyari and a pure murderous intent sprawled across his face.

“I...I…I am sorry Mr. Kenyari sir” the man said shaking nervously as it was obvious that he could see his life flashing before his eyes tempting and angering a warrior such as kenyari. Even though the man apologized kenyari still made his way over to him when he was suddenly stopped short by the words of disqualification if the spectators got hurt in any way. “Lucky bastard” ken snickered to himself as he turned back to the real person he would be fighting on this day.

A sigh of relief rushed over the crowd as they were still eager to see the fight between these two experienced warriors. “You almost got us killed stupid” a spectator whispered to the man that nearly caused tons of trouble. A smirk appeared on the face of the demon looking at the judge. “Him! He’s the one I waited months to fight? If this is all you have then maybe I shouldn’t have signed up for this” kenyari said smiling devilishly at the man daring enough to challenge ken.

“I hate you. There will be no friendship after this. There will only be hate. You are just a stepping stone needed for my eternal power. You will not win this fight. You will not want to fight me ever again. You will have nightmares of me whenever the name kenyari comes to mind. With that out of the way shall we start” he said igniting the crowd into a violent roar of cheers and boos. The crowd wanted a heated fight and kenyari came for one as well. Time to get things started..

With a soft sigh and a small release of tension the demon fighter, Kenyari, was finally pumped and ready to go. He slowly slid his right leg in front of him. He quickly kicked the same leg outwards and placed it behind him lowering his entire body in one swift motion taking a defensive stance with his arms placed in front of him awaiting the moves of his contender.

Sweat wiped down the demon’s cheek as the warmness of the day itself. Ken was neither nervous nor scared. He did on the other stand in the same place for many seconds only to realize that his opponent was not going to move just yet.

A small breeze swept through the air and that breeze is when kenyari decided to make his move. “Teleport” he said to himself as he totally vanished from where he was and appeared a few feet behind his opponent within a blink of his eye. “Barbed embrace” he said as out of his body shot multiple spike everywhere as well as some lingering in various places meant to serve as a minor defensive shield. If his opponent didn’t act quickly he would be caught by many spikes directly to his back.

Kenyari had also thought about this fight smartly and had a few of the spikes to grow out of his arm and make an arch shape that went past his hand by a few inches. He now had his normal fist plus five spikes on each hand that would serve as extra fire power and also defense.

Before he would give the person a time to react ken pushed his body forward as spikes popped out of his shoulder and stayed there. He moved forward with the idea of shoulder charging his contender trying to end this fight early. He also held one hand up near his face and one near his midsection as a way to be able to react to anything this man was able to pull out of his hat. And with those attacks this fight had officially began and kenyari would prove that he is not a fighter to take lightly.

Arthur Pendragon - August 12, 2007 10:00 PM (GMT)
Arthur eyed his opponent warily as the man went on his tirade saying this and that. Arthur sensed something strange about him. He saw a glimmer coming from the sword on his back and stared wonderingly at the man who got this crowd in such an uproar with just a few words. He smiled and said silently," This man knows how to start a crowd". He waited for the man to attack as Arthur had a strategy planned out. He would bait his opponent into thinking him disordered and unprepared therefore baiting him and thus allowing Arthur to come at the man when he was tired and win the battle.

The man then stunned Arthur by teleporting. He tried to sense where he had gone but as soon as he had disappeared he got behind Arthur. He then used a technique Arthur barely recognized and before Arthur could blink thorns as sharp as steel came whizzing at him. Arthur managed to flip his shield on his back just in time as the barbs clanked against the shield some bouncing off and others digging in the shield. That was not the end of it however because before Arthur could fully turn around the man charged with what looked like thorns on his body hoping to end the battle quickly.

Of course the man underestimated Arthur if he hoped to end it quickly because Arthur would not go down easy. He rolled to his side as the man charged past him and Arthur jumped back up with his sword in the air in a mid guard. He smiled at the man who had his arms up and Arthur sheathed his sword and pulled instead the one from his back which began to glow in white flames in the light. Then Arthur knew he was dealing with a full demon and an evil one at that for this sword was a holy broadsword and it only glowed like that when evil was near.

He smiled at the demon and said," I had hoped for an honorable fight but it seems I won't get one but know this if I die by your blade you die with me". He then charged at the mans back his sword held out in his right arm. At the last second however, Arthur jumped up and came down with his sword going for the mans head hoping to as well end the battle quickly.

The thought of the fight and it’s what looked to be heated contenders would just not leave the head of the young wandering blood demon. The thoughts of past, and thoughts of destruction had completely filled his heart and he planned on releasing his wrath on the contenders of this here tournament. This was a way to get his name known as a very powerful demon across these lands and it just so happens that this dragon guy would be the first to fall to the young demon.

“Your moves are as predictable as every other ignorant fighter I have ever fought. These pathetic moves, and stupid head on attacks. Tell me something….” Kenyari said cutting himself off bringing his out to his sides. He then brought them to his face and made around his mouth area with his hands and took a small sigh. “You fell right into it”

“Solar wind” the blood demon said taking in a giant breath of air. With a small smirk on his face he released the breath letting loose the spell. The wind alone would burn anything in its path except kenyari of course. Seeing as This man was falling towards him he would have to pull off some amazing aerial tricks in order to dodge it falling head first into the grips of hell.

Kenyari was forced to close his eyes the entire time he was doing the spell because it took some energy to keep a constant flow going but there was no sense of where the man was so ken stopped casting his spell and while his eyes were closed, did a series of back flips quickly opening the space between the two competitors.

The warrior finally opened his eyes still in the midst of his show case of maneuverability as his reddish brown body glistened in the sun as only thing he had on was some light pants and a sheath for his sword and they just clicked and clanged as he flipped his way to the small river patch of water nearby.

The sounds of the falls and the nice cool breeze calmed ken as he stopped flipping and stood in a defensive state his body turned towards the man. With a small twitch of his back he was readying his wings that lock themselves into his body until he needs them. He is able to retract them and call them out at a moment’s noticed and if used at the right times it could give the edge needed to win any battle.

Still smiling, standing fully up, ken looked in the direction of the crowd that seemed to be on their feet roaring at the built up action and tension him and the other man were putting out. “So why did you join this tourney” ken said looking in the direction of the man. “And don’t say that to show off my skills and not for the money crap. I want money and to defeat everyone that stands in my way. You just happen to be the first who is going to fall under my power.” Ken said taking a few steps forward. Ken was just completely setting the guy up for a trap and the next attack he wanted to pull would set this man, or dragon, or whatever he was into a serious problem.

“So tell me what a average guy like you is here with us. Try to tell me why this fight is not a total waste of my time. Tell me why this fight will be worth my while. Tell me why you joined this fight but you do nothing but average attacks and are too predictable. Answer those and maybe you have the answers on who you are exactly. But it doesn’t matter to me what you are. You are just a stepping stone to my greatness in my eyes. You are just the thing I have to fight before I can get into the real challenges of this fight. Are you worth the fight? Are you worth my time? Is your life so great that it would be an honor for you to die begging me not to kill you? If it is then let’s get this over.”

With those words the crowd lit up in a loud rage of cheers and excitement as the trash talking and the heated battle was going to serve as their greatest entertainment that they have more than likely ever seen. And kenyari could do nothing but smile thinking about how making him mad and making him attack again was going to completely set up the dragon man.

If things went the way ken wanted the dragon guy would attack. Nobody could endure that kind of words and keep a calm composure. Him losing his temper in a blind rage is one thing that kenyari actually wanted him to do, and taking a defensive stance again and waiting on the reaction of the man, Ken plotted out the whole scene in his head. This fight just might be interesting after all. Well at least hopefully it would be!

Arthur Pendragon - August 17, 2007 03:30 PM (GMT)
Arthurs eyes widened in surprise at the man when he cast his spell. He could feel the heat of the wind coming fast for him and he acted purely on fear and instinct letting his dragons wings out he managed to fly out of the way just in time as it sizzled toward the crowd burning into the stands. He looked at the man who had flipped into a corner obviously setting up another trap. Anger filled Arthur’s eyes because the man gave no regard to what the wind would do to the people. He looked back towards the stands and was relived that no one seemed to be hurt.

He landed and put his wings back into his body and listened to the man talk. The crowd started cheering him for his talk and Arthur smiled. Mostly because the man could stir a crowd even if he was evil. Arthur sighed and knew he had his work cut out for him. He thought to himself," Alright Arthur no more playing around enough of the warm lets kick it up". He looked at the man then the area surrounding the man looking for where and how he might set up the trap there was one thing Arthur never did and that was make the same mistake twice.

He sheathed his sword and answered the mans rant with his own reply" I joined this tourney to fight the best, because the best fighters in the world are in this tournament and I wanted to face them and see how well I would do, so far I haven't done so good but I was only warming up then, now no more playing around". The crowd cheered at his words liking the banter between the two combatants.

He then smiled and said," I am no average human demon, I happen to be an Ex-Evil Dragon Slayer, and as to why this fight isn't a total waste of your time is because I am a half-dragon a being as powerful perhaps more powerful than you can you compare to the might of the dragons I think not". He smiled and said,' The predictability of my attacks are not of your concern, for you see I was only playing then now I think its time for me to get serious so lets see how you deal wit two of me". He reached inside him for his magic and then said," Summon Master Warrior". He started to split and soon there were two Arthurs on the field and the crowd cheered. Both Arthurs drew the swords on their back and the took their shields in their left hand and separated going around the man. One Arthur would attack from the left the other the right. Then they both went in but slowly not charging in head first for that would surely set the trap.

Dmoney - August 22, 2007 02:48 AM (GMT)
With a large smirk the man’s words seemed to have made kenyari very, very happy knowing that this man was going to be an easy kill no matter what he said. The whole way he carried himself. The whole way he talked. The whole way he was able to stay calm after hearing such hateful words made it certain that this man was just another simple push over that was going to bow at the feet of Kenyari. This fight was already won simply by this man’s actions.

The crowd roared cheered and laughed at this dragon guy and his clone of himself but yet the blood demon only stood there. Ken only stood still with his fists clinched and the black spikes out of his wrists glistening in the sun’s rays. The taste of new blood was craved by ken all over and the perfect person to get it from is this clown.

This man was not smart. His actions too simple! He made a clone and did nothing to try to confuse ken on which is which but rather he just comes straight forward obviously believing in the simple bluff kenyari had set up. His big plan was not until later but yet this man walked head first into a bluff showing that he was probably inexperienced at best. From how simple his actions were it would be nothing more than a simple two sided attack.

“Your more simple minded than I thought. I thought you would be a fun competitor but you’re not.” kenyari said growing the black spikes that covered his hands more. Each time he grew or respawned new spikes it used up some of his energy to do it but it also was a very painful thing to keep doing but he has learned to not show the pain all the while though.

Ken watched carefully as the two slowly made their ways towards him but ken stayed steady not moving. Plotting out his way to take this dragon person out. Ken didn’t know his name just yet so there was nothing more to call him but some kind of dragon person just because of he said he was half dragon.

The two clones slowly made their way to him and ken just lifted his hands in a defensive position and waited for them to close in on him. After waiting only a few seconds they had finally come and quickly hopped on the offensive. With predictable as always attacks on each side, ken would have to find a way past the shields of the two of them but that would not be a problem.

As the two of them went on the offensive kenyari lowered his hands slightly and turned his wrists downward. The crowd roared at the excitement this was bringing but it was nothing but boredom for ken. The two attacked just as he thought but kenyari had an idea on how to counter it.

With his spikes kenyari quickly reached out catching both swords within the spaces between the spikes and the flesh of his hand. He quickly made the spikes grow and tighten up around the swords stopping the attack completely but now put himself in a position where he was in close range combat with a half dragon.

This did not discourage as he quickly rotated his wrists and spikes and dropped his hands to the ground dragging down the swords with him but still capable of being in the grasp of the warrior. Kenyari quickly released the spikes on his left wrist letting the sword of the summoned warrior go and he quickly countered with an attack of his own.

Kenyari jumped into the air slightly bringing his legs up and extending them forcefully as he aimed a kick for the face of the clone and hit right on target. He also aimed a side kick for the clone using the momentum of his jump to send the clone falling backwards a few feet but defiantly not out of this fight.

Thinking quickly, kenyari let the spikes on the real contenders sword go and at the same time while still being air borne, he quickly released a set of large set of demon wings. Ken used his wings and flapped them one time sending him into a very fast 360 degree rotation. While in the rotation kenyari outstretched his leg and aimed a rotating leg sweep for the back of the man’s neck but still rotating he aimed a second one for the same place.

Kenyari quickly came to his third and final rotation when he unsheathed his barbican heavy blade and aimed a crushing downward thrust to the back of the man but not using the edge of the sword but using the flat edge of the sword for some serious damage.

Kenyari did not use the sharp edge of his sword because of the fact he wanted to try to have some kind of an amusing part of this pointless fight. With an aimed two hit leg sweep to the neck and a sword drop, the crowed was on their toes but kenyari deep down was yawning. Will the fight pick up? The blood seeking demon sure hoped it would.

(OOC-if there are any questions on my attack pm me just in case I didn’t make it very clear. Other than that disregard)

Arthur Pendragon - August 22, 2007 02:20 PM (GMT)
Arthur would have thought the demon suprised by his summoning of two warriors but the man was not even fazzed and Arthur had no idea what to do. This would definitley be the fight he had waited for all his life a fight where he would have to use ver last inch of his skill. For he had clearly underestimated this demon. For when he came in the babrs caught the holy boradsword when thus making its magic ineffective. The man then sent his clone flying back with some swiftly placed blows and then Arthurs eyes widened as the man then turned to him and attack and placed tow kicks to his neck. Arthur felt jolts of pain as his vison turned blood red for a moent luckily for him he began to fall as the mans barbarian balde came down on him. FOr the blade just merely caused a slight dent in his Masterwork Chainmail but still it knocked Arthur breathless for a moment more and Arthur lay trying to get back his breath as pain still flooded his vison.

Arthur then in the pian concentrated on somethign hsi father had tuahgt him he concentrated on a flame and poured all emotion and feeling into that one flame. He then wrapped the flame around his mind and became one with it andt he the pain became someone elses, the breathlessnes was no longer there and Arthur stood slightly shaken as the crowd cheered.

Arthur picked up his sword and it glowed in white flames once more at his touch and his clone also returned to conciousnss and Arthur said," Nice moves I did not see that coming I clearly underestimated you, but you udnerestimate me if you think this fight will be simple". Arthru cackled and pulled back and transformed to his dragononic transformation.

Soon the crowd oweed and awed as well as screamed as suddenly a 12 foot tall blue dragon with chainmail armor and a sword blazing white in the sun stood before the demon. Arthur then said," Like I said never underestimate a half-dragon". He let his wings out of his armor and drew hsi sheild and said," Lets see how you deal with dragon fire". He flew in the air and circled around the field one time before letting a huge balze of fire death reign toward the demon. If teh demon retreated from the blazing deat hit would be all the distraction Arthru needed for his clone to clsoe in and attack thus giving Arthru tiem to close in himself.
