In the middle of the Palanen Ocean a storm rages, its ferocity puts it on the edge of being a hurricane as the waves stand tall and come down with an almost unimaginable force. The sun is completely blotted out by the dark clouds overhead and the winds blow with great force, blowing the rain as fast as it can go in every direction. Anybody who would be out on the waters at this time would be considered insane for attempting such a journey.
On the top of one of these monstrous waves was a ship whose captain was highly paid by Juste Belmont who had information that the Belmont Whip’s location may be easier found on the Haudhiaur Island. If he could find anything that would shorten his search for the Belmont Whip.
Juste sat at the bow of the ship with a whip he had bought from a merchant, wrapped around the railing in front of him. The captain of the ship struggled to keep the ship on course while shouting at Juste. ”I expect you to pay me double for this Belmont!” The captain shouted at the top of his lungs with an unimaginable anger. ”If we do not get to the island you will not be paid at all!” Juste shouted back as they shot down a gigantic wave. He water shot across the ship as several lightning bolts shot around the ocean.
”Okay Belmont you pay me that last bit of money now!” The captain shouted again as they scaled another wave. “I will not pay you until we arrive back to the bay from the island!” Juste replied as the rain drops hit across his face, His hair was dripping from the water. “No! You pay me now or I turn this ship around!” The captain’s anger was starting to greatly annoy Juste. ”If I was to pay you now you may lose the money and I will not pay you again!” Juste shouted as he continued to watch the travel.
At the top of the wave he could see the end of the storm and Haudhiaur Island. He let out a smile as he shouted that the island was not far ahead. By the time they would arrive the storm would cease. Juste clearly knew this and he let the whip unwind from the rail as he went into a small room located on the ship. The ceiling leaked with the ocean water and a window that looked off of the ship was fogged up. He did not mind this but would stay in here until they arrived.
Out of sheer boredom Crystal looked out into the sea smelling the ocean saltiness. He began thinking about mundane thought as in how it would feel to be off this Island with the mother alive and well. When he suddenly saw a ship coming off in the horizon, shaking himself away from his thoughts he wondered why would someone would come to the acursed Island that he grew to hate with a passion. So doing what everyone else does in this position he watched and waited.
It was his, all his. He found it and he shall keep it. P'jeil could see the shimmering magic rise from the artifact that he had found. He had been minding his own business flying over the deep blue ocean and had decieded to rest on a small island with a steep mountain. He perched at the very top off the island. Well, it couldn't really be said a mountain for it wasn't that tall in the first place, more like a tall sandy hill that was only climbable from the south side due to trecherous sharp rocks. P'jeil soon discovered that the place was riddled with small caves and he had ducked into one as a storm was coming. Several times he got stuck trying to move his tremendous girth into one of the caves but he had prevailed.
Inside one of the caves he found it. He knew it's worth from his teacher and uncle, the greedy creature. It was a coil of leather which exuded magical energy. Now he was never really a greedy dragon, P'jeil, but upon seeing it a great desire filled his heart, he knew he could never take himself away from it. He of course had no idea what the thing would ever be used for, but that wasn't something he really cared about, it was his and his alone.
The storm was starting to clear up and PJ was getting abit restless, his yellow wings cramped and his tail was curled up in an uncomfortable fashion. He could not wait any longer so he jumped out of the cave, probably looking like a great golden beacon as he did so, and stood out to guard the fanastic coil of leather and magic.
Little did he know that the whip was in itself a decoy that would only send the user to next clue.
