Loriauna waited calmly on a low boulder, eyes closed as she went deep in thought. She was usnure as to why she was here...she had felt a strong pull to come to the rainforest, an urge she did not understand. She wondered if there was some sort of ulterior motive for coming...some sort of reason as to why she ahd waited on the boulder for a good hour.
She sounded insane...absolutely insane. She was sitting on a boulder for no apparent reason, merely so that she could do what exactly? she didn't even have a decent reason...this was stupid. Insane. Idiotic.
And yet, for some reason, necessary, which was probably what made it grate on her everlasting patience. For some odd reason that she did not understand, her instincts had told her to come there. So there Lori sat, waiting for whatever it was that was worth coming.
The sky began to rumble, announcing its discomfort and impending rain. A single bright light danced across the clouds. An elderly woman came into view. Only a tattered and blood stained robe kept the cold out. She carried a oak walking stick, worn from use. Slowly the lady hobbled over to the rock. Simply nodding to the woman and setting down with as much grace as she could muster. The only thing that seemed out of place on this woman was her eyes. They sparked a deep blue, a radiant hue of ocean and sky combined. “I hope ye don’t mind if I settle here for a bit. To rest my old bones.” For only a second she glanced at the woman atop the rock, then turned away. Being obstinate was just her way.
“It isn’t often I see travelers in this area. Watch ya up to?” Her breathing became heavy and she lowered her head, taking a deep breath. “I remember a day when I was able to walk around Arda and it took no more out a’ me then whipping up some fish for breakfast. Now I’m lucky if I make it a few feet for’ these here legs give out.” She smiled and returned to picking blades of grass out of the ground.
((note: If you try telepathy on her, it will not work.))
Lori looked at the woman. an elderly woman...in a rainforest? She seemed rather tired and absent-minded, yet it also seemed like a bit of an act. She doubted she could use telepathy on the woman...there seemed to be a cunning spark in those elderly eyes.
Calmly, Lori pulled a piece of bread off of a loaf in her pack. The bread was soft and, while plain, had a nice taste to it. It was even still a bit warm, though would get wet soon. Holding it in one hand, she shielded it from the rain with the other. "Here...you look like you could use it."
The woman did indeed look like she needed it. Besides, the food would give the lady energy. An obvious perk, seeing as to how the lady was speaking of being so tired. "Sorry there's no spread."
