She walked through waist deep water and looked down at her reflection and splashed it away and cried somemore. What could have been should have been would have been the best moments of life but slpped right away in the everlasting flowing tears of pain and joy, knowing what could have happened knowing what should have not happened, would happen with the distractions of life reality, crying over porcelin skin glossy with the tint of new innocent life, Watching life slip away through those sapphire bluse globes, watching lifes finest moments slip right through fingers so fine and slender and watch that face turn white with despair and suffering in that round bowl of regret. Knowing there was a way knowing it could have been prevented caused her life to be no more. She walked through the waist deep water calling for help.


Knowing her life was a mess and everything in it was falling apart, she didn’t want it to end but the pain was so great in her heart the she felt like her heart itself was ripping open and letting all the memories and pain out and turn into sorrowful tears, teardrops fell into the water and caused little ringlets expanding farther out as one drop hit another one was already on its way. Covering her eyes with her hands she let all the guilt, the pain, the remorse come out and claim her, she couldn’t resist it anymore she had to get away to shun away form this life, if you can even call it a life after all. Life is filled with joy, happiness, glorious times, but hers? She was filled with immense guilt and pain. Lifting her head up and screamed one bloodcurdling scream and leaned forwards as she saw her reflection getting closer and closer until nothing but coldness.

Arthur had been in the rain forest clearing up the last of his 200 dragons. He had met the qouta he had set for himself and once it had been done he now had retired from dragon slaying forever. He would no longer hunt any of his kind even if they were evil he was tiored of it. Spillign the the blood of his kin even if they were evil. He now had a new purpose hunitng shadowspawn and saving the innocent. As he walked through the forest he heard someone crying for help and in a flash he ran for that direction hoping to get there in time. As he came up he saw a woman in this pond in the forest and was amzed by her beauty and he knew thta she was elvish because only twice had he been entranced so and both of those women were elves. He de transformed form the hideousness of his dragon state and became the handsome but rugged hlaf human he was. He said," What help do you need dear lady be it shadowspawn or bandits I will help by any means necessary".

she heard a voice but it was very faint and she didnt process the words, she only looked up at him eyes all black as if possesed not seeing him at all, She..instead looked back at the waters surface and fell forward into the water, unmoveing, she stared into the water as memories of pain and sorrow filled her head and overwhelmed her emmotions,she felt as though he had no other way out and this was the only way, she started to shake with the need for air but couldnt bring herself to break the durface, she was held down by the extreme need to end this pain this sorrow this life.

The elf maid fell in the water without answering and Arthur moved as fast as he could quickly removing his chain mail armor and shirt from his upper body and unbuckled his sword and quickly dove into the water after her. As he swam he saw that she was not trying to make for the surface and he thought," WHat is going on". He managed to reach her and grabbed her hand and began to push ofr the surface with all his might as she weighed him down but he would not let her drown not on his watch anyway.

She felt arms go around her and her being lifted out of the water she was taken by surprise but it quickly vanished and was replaced by unexplained anger she tried to free heself to plung into the water again but she held on to tightly her eyes shown Black as her body was overwhelmes with shakes and she was mumbling she felt like someone was inside her trying to take over she tried to escape but only the force was to strong for her weakness, she squirmed and wiggled tryig to get back to the water. she finally was still and her body went very limp and she fell into blackness again.

Arthur managed to get the girl to the shore safely and panted for breath and noticed the girl was out cold he knew he had seen her move so he knew she did not need resicitating. So instead he gathered some wood and some new clothes and built a fire and put his wet clothes on the fire as he put on his dry ones. He then then pulled the girl to the fire and made a blanket out of leaves somethign eh was use to doing. He then put it over her to dry her off and then sat down by the fire as he to dried. He said," Arthur you really can pick out people to help she wnated to drown it seems". Yet he cold not let that happen he would not and if she tried again he woudl tie her up and send her to the elves. HE pulled out his instrument and began to play while everythign dried.

She slowly regained her sight and strength. She opened her eyes and saw the man she felt before pulling her out og the water and felt extremly thankful that he did she did not want to drown and did not know what had happened to her before. She sat up looking straight t him with her eye color their normal shade of honey gold and blinked, thank you, was all she said and suddenly felt extremly tired and her eyes started to shut , so she slowly laid down just to rest her eyes a it, but ended up slepping hours.

Robert was a bit suprised when she woke up mostly because he not expected her to for soemtime but the moment she did, she immediatley fell back. He sighed and said," Arthur what have you gotten yourself into this time". He laughed a little at himself. He was soon dry and knew that the girl would not wake for sometime so he left for an hour to go hunting. He then came back and brought bakc a nice deer an put it on the fire cooking it slowly knowing that the smeel would wake her surely. He smiled at himsefl and hoped she liked deer real smokey.

She woke and wiggled ehr nose at the smell of something cooking, she slowly sat up and looked at what he was cooking and nearly gaged she saw the partly decomposed and mutalated carcuaa of a deer and hide the expression from him, she would eat it if she really had to but disliked the idea of killing an animal she looked aroiund her and saw where they were and wondered how she got there, she only remembered being somewhere cold and wet and not being able to control anything at all.

Arthur looked up at her and smiled and said," Good your awake I was worried for a minute, but alls well it seems, hungry". He pointed to the deer on the fire. He smield and said," I ain't the best of cooks, but I can smoke pretty well, I only cook for myself so you'll have to forgive me if its not that good". He cut off a peice and put onto a plate made of wood he had carved while she was asleep and pushed it toward her nad said," I am Arthur by the way, Arthur Pendragon that is and you would be" ?

She took the handmade plate and smiled, i am Nissa Rhiannon, and thank you for saveing me, its ok if you dont cook well. She then looked down at the deer and decided she better eat it if she was to survive and regain her strength, she bit a piece off and swallowed it thinking it tasted decent, and looked back up at him, so what are you doing in the forest?

Arthur smiled at her and went back to cooking the deer before answering. He then said," I was handing in my resignation literally handing it in, I was slaying the last of the 200 dragons that captured and tried to kill my father, I have been hunting them for 6 years and well a few hours ago I killed the last of them so I am now offically retired from Evil Dragon Slaying so I was literally handing in my resignation". He chuckled at that and cut himself a peice of meat and set it aside. He then said," If I could guess anythign you came to the forest to ummm drown yourself bcause it sure seemed like it, especially when you tried to head back, of course its really none of my buisness but I can't help but be curious".

Her eyes darkened for a minute but then went back to their normal shade, she looked down ashamed, no i was not trying to kill myself, well i was but....your going to think im crazy, but i was sort of possesed and i couldnt control anything i was doing, thats why i fought to get back to the water, im sorry about that, she laughed nervously and looked back at him, lucky for me you were there to stop me otherwise i would be dead. So you killed 20 dragons? wow how mean. She gave him a accuseing look that said "you didnt have to kill all of them even though one killed your dad."

Arthur looked at her with a glare and said," Not 20, 200 and my fathers not dead not yet anyway they threatened to kill him but they did not succed, I was there to make sure they did not succed I was 16 at the time of course and I with my father managed to beat them back I killed 16 of the 200 myself that day my father he was wounded so he only injured them". He then looked away for a moment and then said," Its not mean to kill them if they were Evil, these 200 were the evilest of the evil dragons and so I saved thousands by ridding Arda of them so it was not mean only vengence that had a good end". His anger had flared with that Arthur was not very quick to anger but when a person did it was not pretty. He calmed himself though and said," I was gald to help you though, as for not believing I have seen a few cases of possesion in my line of work so its not that hard to believe you were possed". He smiled and then turned back to the deer on the fire and began turning it again.

She just rolled her eyes at his glare and looked at him with the intensity, killing is evil so what makes you not evil since you killed 200 when they didnt even have a chance, you r father isent even dead so why kill a creaure, that would make you eveil to, unless they came at you first which it sounds like they didnt you went after them and that means you were killing unjustfully and you life was not in danger.

She looked away angery at him for thinking killing was not evil and that it was right. She looked back at him a little less angery than before but still a little pissed. Where have you seen such cases of possession?

Arthur stoop up as anger flared back into him and he shouted as he had never shouted before by saying," Killing Evil is not Evil, Elf Maid I was in the right I was punishing them for a crime they committed it was not evil to slay them, for if you saly evil you are not evil evil cannot kill evil girl". He unsheathed the sword on his back and pointed it at her and sadi with so much anger it shocked even him and he said," You see this sword it can only be held by those who are good in their heart and are pure in their souls, I have sworn allegiance to the Goddes of Life, I have fought Chaos and Darkness for 6 years, how dare you say I am evil when all I have done for 6 years is good in the sight of Lothmendil and Keiraline".

Hate filled him like never before and he lost control transforming before her into what he really was. The blue half-dragon looked down at the elf maid with anger fillign his deep blue eyes. He then said," You have seen what I really am a half-dragon, my father was no ordinay person he is Nar'Vaeg the Lord of Dragons the best of the Good Dragons who have sworn to fight Chaos and Darkness forever, Good dragons do not sire evil dragons I am not evil".

He then fell to his knees and de transformed as tears came into his eyes light how he cried and he said, to the elf woman," I am sorry for being angry at you it is not your fault, I do not like being though of as evil, I hate killing, I always hated it, I only did it to carry out judgement on those who did evil, evil cannot kill evil I am sorry for pointing my sword at you but I lost control I got dragons anger from my father as you can see I am a half-dragon".

He finally stopped crying and said," As for where I have seen possesion, once an elf maid like your self was possed and I saved her from it by taking her to the Temple of Light, another time Chaos possed one of my sworn brothers and I had to save him as well even though he tried to kill me while possed".

She watched as he let out his anger with bored eyes knowing e cannot harm her for her magic is to strong. She looked t him like he was a little kid throwing a tantrum. she quickly got to her feet and withdrew her sword and swung it around till it was a centimeter away from his neck, You think i wouldnt kill you if you did something wrong, you say only strong willed and pure of heart can hold a sword well look at me now i am not afraid of you and nor will i hestitate if im in danger i have killed before and i will not hesitate to do so now. She sheathed her sword and sat back down eyes now a dark gold seething with anger.

You say i am not strong willed and pure of heart and soul well you are wrong, and i know elfs get possessed the most and it was right for you to take her there but elves are one of the stongest willed creatures there are and on top of that the proudest.

Arthur looked at her and said," I never said you could not hold it I onyl sad those who had nothing of pure hearts or soul could not, and not all elves are pure I have seen my fair share of dark elves, I know alot about elves dragons and elves have an old alliance and I myself once saved the princess of the elves from the claws of an Evil Dragon, so the elves are my good friends I know alot about them". That was true he knew more than some but still it was not enough to fully understand them. He tjem said," If I had done wrong I would have let you kill me, I am sworn against evil, my ancestors wore an ever bidnign oath to fight evil with their last breath and that if they would never doevil or wrong it afffects every generation of my family, if I ever did wrong or evil my life is forever forfit until then I cannot be killed by those who do good, sure I can die still but someone who does good will not be able to kill so strong is the oath that I can only die fighting evil". That was true enough of course beign half-dragon he would not die of old age either he recived their immortality except to the blade and poison from them.

He then said," Though I was a bit suprised when you did not react to my dragon form even elves have a time growing use to half-dragons, of course if I wasn't one myself I would to, you say the elves are proud and strong willed, well so are my kind, Dragons and Half-dragons aliek more so than any elf".

She got up quickly and glared at him, Why do you hold yourself in such high esteem? You dont know wlves i mena REALLY know them in depth,you have seen our ways but not our souls, you think you can just say things like this and compliament yourself? do you not get attention from ladies? or people at all? She turned around and started walking away not waiting for an answer. She said over her shoulder, Good night Arthur, i thank you for your help and food,I need to find somebody. She continued to walk away.

Arthur was shocked by what she said but let it go. As she left he put out his fire and and put up the rest of the deer in a sack he had made. He then went after her tracking her by scent as well as foot prints until he caught up and he sad," I am sorry if I ofended you efl maid, but sometiems my tongue gets away with me to easliy, for one so proud I am still far to foolsih, you are right I do not knwo elves souls, but neither do they know mine or my peoples, as for attention I get it more than I like, I prefer solitude to people, I share that in common with the elves we are not to fond of crowds and people, as for ladies what lady would want a half-dragon, even one such as myself". He sighed and shook his head and contineud to walk and said," I am to arrogant and Egotistic for my own good, I swear it will get me killed one day, by the way if your looking for someone I can help you with that, I can track pretty well and plus I have a friend who would be glad to help you find your friend".

She looked at him and said i am good at tracking, he is my boyfriend and i think i can find him but maybe with your help we can find him faster, she smiled at him. As for your girl troubles you will find someone one dayjust stop looking and let things happen as they would natrually. My tongue gets hold of me sometimes to but we both have to learn to control it, it will be hard.

Arthru smiled at her and said," Yess we do and thank you, now let me get my friend he will be of great help". He came into an opening in the forest and whistled very loudly. There was this great roar and soon the sound of swooping wings could be heard. Soon a great Steel Dragon landed in front of Arthur and he looked at Nissa and said," Nissa met my good friend, Son, Sworn brother Valinor the Steel Dragon he can find anythign or anybody", The dragon looked at the elf maid and said in a deep male voice," It seems you have found another elf to help Arthur, you meet more elves to help than humans, a pleasure to meet her still the same". Arthru smiled at the drago then at the elf and said," As I said I retired Nissa but still I can raise one of my own kind if I choose".

she gaped up at the dragon then smiled, it is very nice to meet you to sir, you are very beautiful indeed, she looked over at arthur and smiled, you help elf's more than humans? shame on you we can fend for ourselfs unlike humans who have virtually no defenses. she said this sarcatically as for him to know she was only jokeing, She turned her head back towards his brother and said, wait he raised you? or do you mean calls you?

Arthru smield at her as he knew she was joking. The dragon looekd at her and said," Arthur found me as an egg, my mother had been killed by another dragon known as Alkair, and so Arthur took my egg and when I hatched he raised me to be the dragon I am, I am near a year old as it is but still an adult Steel Dragons grow faster than other dragons". Arthur smiled at his friend and then turned to Nissa and said," I never leave a Dragon Egg to fend for itself he would have died when he hatched so I decided to take him and raise him". The dragon then held out a leg and Arthru got on and said," You may ride him if you wish he won't bite". The dragon chuckled and said," Unless she hurts you Arthru I will not bite her that is true".

She looked at the big dragon and nodded with respect knowing how smart and wise dragons are. She looked at Arthur and looked at him proudly, you raised a big dragon all by yourself? that must have been really hard, knwoing someday he would have to leave.She looked at the steel dragon sadley, how can another dragon kill one of its own kind, that is really to bad and it is really sad. Where did you find him? and how dd you raise him? that must have been hard raiseing him so noone could find him and and harm him.

Arthur shook his head and the dragon said," Dragons have always fought each other elf maid, they did it at the beginning and will surely do it at the end, they gain power, they gain honor, they gain rights by doing so. I have only killed evil dragons around 5 actually since I am new to the world and those 5 with the help of Arthur, my brother you see does not hutn them outright what honor would be in that he merely surches for them listening to rumors of dragons as well as people who have been attacked by killing them when they have hurt people he gains honor and so do I by helping him, better it is for them to die than others suffer still because they are alive".

Arthur smiled and he said," Now thats a dragons truth if I ever heard one, Valinor doesn't lie most dragon's cannot in their own language in the human one they can but most evils ones only do it". He then sighed and said," It was hard being I am a half-dragon and only know about half of what a real dragon knows by instinct but in the end I got it and I understand them more now, as for him leaving he can leave when he wishes I will not hold him to it all children eventually leave the nest." That was true enough Valinor might leave someday but then again he might not for Valinor and Arthur had formed a deeper bond than just father and son, brother and brother, friend and friend.

Arthur sighed and said," I found him in this same rainforest actually, as how I raised him tose are secrets no dragon will tell and I will not either, hard not really I rarely go among humans anyway, elves wont harm a dragon unless it threatens them and Angels will not touch a dragon that is on the side of the Light, Dwarves I never go among Dwarves they don't like my kidn oh they may respect it but they do not like it and humans well I had to hide him of course at the tiem he was small enough to fit in my pack so it was not difficult when I did go among humans, now he just waits for me outside of the cities he is quite able to defend himself". The dragon shook his head and said," So elf maid if you want to find your boyfriend climb on and let us go".

She listened as the dragon told his tale and nodded with understanding as he came to the part where he would not reveal the way he was raised, i understand you not telling me and by what you have told me i have heard stories like your and have a fair idea what it is like, haveing rately seen a real dragon, this is all a bit of a shocker to me.

The way you speak drips with sencerity and i am glade you did not lie to me and for that i thank you. She turned to Arthur and smiled, yes we shall go, although i do not have the faintest idea to where he may be he could be anywhere. She glanced a the steel dragon and although she trusted him she had never, in her life riden a dragon and wasnt all that sure how to.

Rafi ran through the forest swiftly with his bow and arrow in hand. A party of bandits had been chasing him for a while now. Rafi stopped to catch his breath. A axe flew and hit a tree inches away from he face. His eyes widened and ran for his life. He saw a lake overhead with a cliff overhead. He dived in the water and held his breath. He hoped the bandits would pass. Rafi could make out about 4 figures looking around then slowly walking in the other direction. Rafi sloqly emerged out of the water and put his arrow in place. He had to be totally silent. He realeased and the arrow cut through the air and hit the bandit in the back. Rafi quickly jumped out of the water and into the forest. he came around the flank of the party and grabbed one by the mouth and drung him in the forest away from the rest. He wrapped his hands around the head and twisted them sideways violently breaking his neck. He dropped the body and shot another he fell and the other 3 turned and began chasing rafi. Rafi ran to the cliff and the 3 men cornered him. Rafi was running out of options...

Arthur smiled at her and said,' Let us be off him, even if he is in the deepest of shadows". He then looked at her and said," I a mnot sure if you have evr ridden a draon boefre, basically you just climp up the leg watch for the spikes and hodl on to me tightly". He smiled mischeviously at that even if it was the truth. He then looked around a bit looking for a good clearing and then said," Its not that hard to ride really not as easy has horse and tougher told on, but its simple once you know how, the arch I am sitting is where the saddle goes but I prefer bare back even if the first time my legs were raw but I got used to it". He chuckled to himself and made Valinor put down his leg for her to climb up.

She scowled a the way he said her legs will be scratced raw and said, Maybe we better walk for i need these legs and dont have the time to heal them if i were to get the legs rubbed raw. She all of a sudden looked up and into the distance, she had a worried expression on her face as she looked back at Arthur, we must hurry, she quickly got on the dragon and looked back at him, are you coming?

Arthur smiled at her when she chaged her mind and he jumped on in front of her and said," Hold on tight and don't squeeze your legs around the dragon, that way you woun't be scratched raw thats the secret of it". He chuckled and lthe dragon lifted into the air and soon they were avove the trees and he said to the dragon," Sweep over the forest fist Valinor if he is in here you can find him, dragon sensesif you would" Inseatd of nodding the dragon banked to the west obiously going to do a sweep around the forest and he looked back to her and said," Having fun yet".

She was holding on tight with her legs and felt the start of her legs being rubbed raw, but she couldnt help it she ws terrified, she didnt want to fall off. When he asked her if she was haveing fun she hit him in the back lightly, and said, oh yes lots of fun, as she screamed when the dragon started going down and banking. Although she was afraind she couldnt help but enjoy the spetacular view of the forest and sky, she loved the feeling of the wind blowing.

Arthru laughed when she hit him she was definitely not use to it but he was. HE saw a flash of steel in the distance, merely a glow but he flew toward it and saw amn cornered by three bandits and said," Well we may have found him and he is surrounded by Bandits it seems and he has no palce to go but down". He drew his bow from a pack on the dragon as well as his quiver and pulled an arrow out and knocked it and he said," Long range from the back of a dragon, they won't suspect a thing". HE took aim and fired as the dragon banked toward teh cliff and he looekd and he had hit one of the bandits in the back. As teh dragon flew in he put away his bow and quiver and drew hsi sword and jumped from the dragon into the fray of two last standign bandits and said to the man in front of the stunned bandits," You need any help friend".

Valinor banked and landed in a clearign just about 10 feet from Arthru and said to the elf on his back and said," Heres your stop I think that might be him or not if its not Arthur won't leave him to die". He put out his leg for the elf to climb down on and he then would wiat whiel Arthur fought.

She watched and was quit angery that he would not allow her to fight i mean it was HER boyfriend and here he was rescueing him from the bandiates, which was her job. One of the bandites snuck around Arthur and was about to strike him in the back but she quickly knocked her arrow nad let it go, it hit him square in the head and he fell dead to the ground.

She grinned towards Arthur and smiled at Rafi, she walked towards him and jumped on him raining kisses on him as he fell, she then pulled away, and looked at him, you just cant stay out of trouble can you?

Rafi was happy to se the mighty dragon and warrior on it. It made him have a fantasy as a child would of becoming a mighty archer who could killl easily. Then he was brought back to reality when Nissa start kissing at him widly to the ground. When she got off she spoke and rafi replied. "I was just walking about when they came, i coulf olny hold them off. But i didnt need to worry about dieing becuase of this fellow" He said at he pointed to the dragon and its rider. He bowed low to them and thanked them then he turned to Nissa and hugged her. "Nice hsot by the way honey" He whispered in her ear as he was hugging her.

She hugged him back and wisperedshe kissed him on lips then she backed away and said Arthur this is Rafi, Rafi this is Arthur. She turned back to Rafi and scowled at him, when you said skillful archer you were talking about me werent you, she grinned and playfully sawtted his arm and went to retreive the arrow from the mans head and cleaned it off and put in back with her other arrows. See this is why we needed to get my bow from my house, becasue when you get yourself in a fix i can come rescue you. she winked his way.

Arthur bowed his head to the man and said," My pleasure to help any time Rafi". Hr dmilrf st them and let them to themselves for a moment and then said to Nissa," Well I found him for you if you ever need anythign else, well just ask the nearest elf or good dragon and they will point you straight to me". He thurned and thne looked back at Rafi and said," Oh and hold onto her boy don't let go, women like her are very hard to find even for the likes of me". He turned and walked toward Valinor having done what he had said he would do.
