Description: open to all

Rand - July 22, 2007 10:42 PM (GMT)
Rand walked along the shoreline tired from travel. He had not been to the lakes in a very long time, and he thought it time to return. Walking along shoreplants was alot diffrent than walking in the forest brush. He stumbled a bit the ground was loose and difficult for any creature with hoves to walk on easily. The feel of the lake breeze was welcome but carried somthing strange on it, somthing he has not smelled in a very long time. But he only let that grace his mind for a moment then he went back to enjoying the view. He walked to a tree and layed down to rest. It was mid-morning so he thought he might get a little sleep as he did not sleep that night. Rand layed there staring at the lake till his eyes closed.

Running through the forest Rand came to a small house ,no bigger than ten feet wide and long, and knocked on the door. The knock was answered by a very loud and deep voice that asked him questions. "Why have you come?" Rand answered the voice quickly"I do not know. Where am I?" "How have you come to be here?" "Again i do not know where this place is." "Do you live your life?""I do not know what you mean.""Be gone from here."The Door swung open forcing Rand back. Rand looked inside the house and saw nothing but ever-lasting darkness. But then a small child with pure white skin stepped out. The boy looked at rand without eyes, a mouth or a nose. It then seemed to scream then fly at him faster than possible. Blackness.

Rand's eyes shot open to night. 'How long did i sleep' he said to himself. He looked around only to see a solid black figure standing in plain sight. The thing looked at him seemed to smile then shot out onto the lake backwards, not flying but floating. When it got to the center of the lake it burst into flames then flew into the sky and covered the moon with it's dull orange blaze. The sky faded to a dark orange even the air seemed to change color. The air grew unbearably hot and weird noises filled the air followed closly by stranged shadows. "What is this?" Rand shouted "Am I going crazy?" Rand looked around franticly for anything that could help him. But nothing came to his eyes he was alone, for now.

Berindel - July 23, 2007 05:38 AM (GMT)
Berindel, who had been apart from others a bit too long, and was feeling his inspiration wane, was thinking, not for the first time, that he should return to the city for a time, to recharge that part of himself that loved company, and a good laugh, if with a stanger.

No sooner than he got to his feet, quit happy trekking in the dark, than the most unworldly explosion imaginable lit the sky with a fierce light.

He ran out of the woods to te lake shore, and saw the shadow of a smimilarly stunned Centaur, staring up at it. "What it is?" He called out, and wished he carried a proper weapon, he best he had was a tiny knife, used for cleaning fish...

Vespa usually stayed well away from the water: It was a vile thing that slowed him down, and it was common knowledge that his people could not swim. However, he had been fooled by one of the many mistakes his people usually make. It was not as strong as the attraction for blood, but it was still powerful. He had seen the light in the sky, and felt instantly drawn to it, wanting to touch it, to find what it was.

When he came to the beach he realized how foolish and weak he had been. He twitched as he thought of his weakness, but then felt very uncomfortable. Water was lapping around his human legs, and he thought he saw some of the colour of his disguise go with it, as though clay were melting off. His feet had already sunk into the sand and he pulled them out, annoyed. To his horror he noticed that one claw was sticking up where a human toe should have been, and he decided to fix it as soon as he could.
