Title: Beastmaster PrC Released

Lothlómendil - July 22, 2007 01:04 PM (GMT)
I am proud to announce the release of a new non-deity PrC, the Beastmaster! :w00t: Because this is not a deity PrC you do not need permission from anyone to purchase it, you only have to meet the pre-requisites. Enjoy!

Vaudeux Jupiter - July 22, 2007 01:08 PM (GMT)
That first paragraph is.. wow

Kern Roy - July 22, 2007 01:12 PM (GMT)

Sanzen - July 22, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
NUUUUUUU I can't make it... unless something happens with my character ^^

This is probably one of the dream PrCs I've been wanting to see :D

Oooooooh...this is perfect for the Naga I'm doing up. :o :w00t: Okay, that settles it then...I'm creating the Naga early. :p Yay! All hail Lothy! ^_^

Hey, I have quick question about the PrC. If I'm going for fighter abilities, will the spells I take from the PrC count against my five-spell total? 'Cause I can only have five spells if I take fighter abilities...

This is explained in that little bit at the top of the Fighter Abilities shop.

QUOTE (Loth)
If you begin learning prestige classes that give spells, you must not take the spells unless the few you accept are part of your 5 max allowable spells. Remember that PrC abilities are not spells, so you can still have and use those.

Oh, yeah, and:

UBER AWESOME :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic:

Annihilate - July 22, 2007 10:00 PM (GMT)
Lotheh, you are amazing. Everything looks wonderful. Can't wait to see more.

Aloric - July 22, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
Yay, it's out, it's out! Woohoo! Suhweet!

Feldorn Natesh - July 22, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
Thanks, Al. And I assume I can choose whether or not to accept something from the PrC, right? Like a certain item or something that I don't want...

Oh! Also: What about spells specific to a PrC, like the Beastmaster's Summon Wild Boar spell. That's a PrC-specific spell - or is that an ability? Would it count as one of the five spells?

Sorry...I'm just full of questions. LOL

Okay, I've taken a second look at the Beastmaster PrC and I'm a bit confused on some things as to whether they're spells or abilities:

Summon Wild Boar (LV1)
Summon Owlbear (LV2)
Bulk (LV2)
Summon Gryphon (LV4)
Summon Thunderbird (LV5)

Which of these are spells and which of these are abilities? It doesn't really say...

Firstly, when you need help, please post in the Help forum. Questions go there. ;)

But, to answer your question, anything that is not available in the other magic shops, and can only be obtained through the PrC, is a PrC ability. PrCs give away spells that you can otherwise buy, but anything not listed under "Granted these spells" or something of that nature is a PrC ability and does not count against your 5-spell total.

Alaine Tyr - July 23, 2007 08:34 AM (GMT)
Oh this really is fantastic... If this is the first PrC to come out for normal members, I can't wait to see what else Loth has up her sleeves.

*Sheepish.* Heh. Yeah...sorry. I just figured since it was, y'know, related to the Beastmaster PrC...but anyway, thanks. ^_^

:frantic:

Gwen Gamore - July 27, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
This is a great skill for Gwen. My little nymph was just itchy to get even closer to nature. Can't wait to buy them all

Feldorn Natesh - July 27, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
It'll be really good for you if you manage to get the Goddess of Nature position. ^_^
