Title: A Hiatus
Description: in the half-dragon's wanderings

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 13, 2005 02:50 PM (GMT)
A Silnimare was passing through a field one night, he saw a town a little ways off..I am rather tired..., he thought...He headed for the town, and when he arrived, was suprised to find that the town was so small...I would have thought Lomedor to be bigger, he thought. For that was the town for which he was searching. He decided to wait until daybreak to continue searching, so he went to the entryway to an alley, and, after shifting to half-dragon form, curled his black wings over him, and went to sleep, his black scales and wings making him no more than a black shape in the shadows--completely unrecognizable...or so he hoped...

Moving silenty through the night Snori shifted from door way to door way, he was being followed, he didnt know who but some one was trying to find him, why he did not know either. He moved from dark shadows to alcoves in the walls of houses trying to evade detection.

He ran swiftly (or at least for a dwarf) to another enterance. He stumbed as he foot hit somthing soft as well... fleshy. Taken aback he forgot about his pursurers and stepped out into the moonlight. Raising his hand he cast enervation and his hand was engulfed by purple energy.

The light it cast did not fully iluminate the doorway but gave the shadows a shape, it had wings. "Who are you?" He demanded then rembering his manners and that not evey one he met was as cruel hearted and evil as those that were following him he apopgised.

"Sorry i didnt see you there... half dragon... my name is Snori" Still alert and worryed he keeped his spell and his hand raised incase this dragon was none to friendly.

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 13, 2005 11:14 PM (GMT)
Slizer moved his wing to the side, and looked up. "I am Silnimare...I see you are not incapable of defense. I admire your caution. But do not worry, I will not harm you unless you give me cause. Why are you here?" he said. He stood and moved his wongs and cloak to expose his body to the dwarf's spell, to show his lack of fear, and his large amount of trust.

Samarin - December 14, 2005 10:18 AM (GMT)
"you asume that you could harm me in the first place." He smilled and let the magic fade away. "look i need to get out of the open, if you want to talk come to the tavern." he turned and walked down the street then looked over his shoulder to check if the half dragon was following.

Walking into the tavern he sat down and orderd two ales then waited to see if the dragon or who ever was following him would apear

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 14, 2005 01:57 PM (GMT)
Silnimare shifted back to human form, and then followed the dwarf to the tavern. He could use a break. "Cocky little fellow, though." he thought. Silnimare sat down with the dwarf, and said, "Thanks for the company. I don't meet many kind strangers on my journeys. By the way, which way to Lomedor?"

Samarin - December 14, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
"Lomedor... its quite a way from here my friend... take to road from this town to the east and you shall find it.... its not exactly hard to miss." He looked him up and down taking almost every aspect of him, whille he used his magic and spells to see what ells he could find. (Reading minds with out asking to use the spell is godmodding so im not actualy going to do it;-) )

"So your a wizard... and by the looks of you a warrior aswell... hmm." He sat back, it was just the kind of person he was looking for in his giuld.. or atleast the one he wished to make.... no time like the present to start recruting he thaught.

"I have a proposition for you... I am planning on making a giuld.... the giuld of the warrior mage it focuses on magic and fighting it will also acept people of any race age gender and alignment it will be a neutral giuld, its pourpus to protect its own in away. A war is surposidly on... i my self have signed up to fight and i think agaicned my will.... When iit is created I will teach those and i have a few friends who may be involved... how do you feel about becoming a member all it takes is some fighting abilty honour and five spells." He smilled at him and shifted over one of his ales.

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 14, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
"That's a gracious offer, Snori. In fact I am planning on studying some more magic once I reach Lomedor. I would be honoured to join the guild when it is born, but only once I have visited the Temple of Balance. I have heard of it and I desire to see it just once." He then took a sip of his Ale. "Thanks for the drinks my friend. I have come to this village to rest, but why are you here?" The dwarf seemed to be hiding something, but whether dangerous or simply private he couldn't tell.

Samarin - December 15, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
"There is no need for you to become neutral as the giuld is neutral as it acepst all who are of any alignment, but if you wish to make your pilgamedge first then who am I to stop you." He drank deeply from his ale taking solice in its murky deapths. "I am here as I am being pursude my dragon friend, I suspect some superstitus thugs were none to happy at seeing a dwarf practising magic..." Ofton beyond the capabilitys of men he thaught. Then he turned his mind back onto the subject.

"Do you actualy have any spells as of yet?"

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 15, 2005 04:26 PM (GMT)
"Yes,actually...I have studied infravision, and am currently studying the detection of the unseen. One cannot have power over what he does not percieve. I seek to open my eyes to help me to better survive the world. As for your reasons for being here, dear dwarf, I regret that one so noble must suffer so. But then, how can gold be pure without a trial by fire?" Silnimare then sank back into his chair, and assumed a pensive state of mind.

Samarin - December 15, 2005 05:40 PM (GMT)
"If you open your eyes you may end up seeing more that you mind can take, and before you try to come back with a whity comment dont ive been there and i came back a differnt man." He picked up his ale and drank once more. "Im lucky i do not need to see in the dark for you will very rarly see the true black and there will always be just enough for a dwarf to see by." He grinned. "I have asked you into my giuld and as of yet I have not heard you name."

He took another drink and looked around he was still wary of those who were following him so atentivly

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 15, 2005 07:19 PM (GMT)
"Silnimare is what I go by. Fire is not merely from the depths, Snori. Each soul has fire inside of them. Fire is a gift from the Valar. It is those demons who have perverted it. Just as we can be both evil and good, so is fire. In a sense, we are living fire. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, my friend. You have suffered from some form of demonic force, I deem. But you must remember that those who dwell in darkness, do not understand the light. True neutrality comes from understanding both sides and regarding them as equal." Slizer said as he took another sip of ale. "You seem to be not neutral in thought, or you would not be of such disposition. Rather, you are torn, Snori. Being neutral is not to divide yourself amongst good and evil, but to understand both. Experience is not the basis of truth. Because no one has experienced everything, but yet truths still stand. Neutrality is simply seeking to understand all you can of each side. Do not dwell in darkness, Snori. It corrupts the soul, and that is a fate I wish for none, especially a friend as you; And when I say friend, I mean it."

Samarin - December 15, 2005 08:17 PM (GMT)
"No No No! do not give me a lecture on what is happening to my mind! This demon inside it will not help me become neutral! It will eat away at all that is me, blacken and destroy my last vestages of humanity till there is nothing but a shell that it will use for untold destruction! I have more knoledge that you do now I have more power than you do yet i cant hold it back! you think you could?" His head fell down into his hands.

"I dont want it here If I could get rid of this parasite i could but no it is here and tied down like a bear I must fight the cource! All i can do is hold it and if it meens destroying me then so be it!"

He pulled his head up out of his hands his eyes were blood shot, little did Silnimare know that his pursures where not real but figments of his imagination, he had not sleeped for 4 days and it was taking its tole on hia mind as he had personifed the demons atemps to destroy him as imaginary pursures. He could not sleep lest the demon take him over whilst he rested, he was on the edge now and one small thing could tip him overl. Despite his demanure befor he was realy ready to snap under the weight of a demon.

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 15, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
"hmm...I see..."Slizer paused, and meditated for a moment. "You can fight it. The most complcated problems have the simplest answer. Relax. Just relax. You have to trust me, and simply relax. Sleep. I will not let harm come to you. Demons or no, I would die and betray all of Arda before I would let these pursuers catch you. Trust me. I've...I've known evil too. The darkness swallows you. I..I...I can only ask you to trust me. And I never ask more of another than I do myself. Relax. You are safe with me."

Samarin - December 15, 2005 09:38 PM (GMT)
"No I let my gaurd down once and I killed inocents i will not do it again! You think you could protect me you who as the power to see in the dark!" He laughed histericly.

"I will only ever be safe when I have thrown It from my body then rended its head from its shoulders!" He was atracting a lot of atention from the customers and other shadyer individuals whist he spoke.

"So you think you have the power to take away part of my burdon do You? Because you never will be able to." His nerves were stretched to brecking point now and he needed out.

Silnímarë Kikkamm - December 15, 2005 10:29 PM (GMT)
"Then I am sorry freind. If some demon can tell you who you are, you are not a dwarf. You are nothing more than a wooden puppet with a weapon. I hope someday you can find yourself. Farewell, demon. And thanks for the drinks." Silnimare then got up, and bowed courteously. "If you decide to be yourself, let me know. I'll befriend whenever you like. Goodbye. I'll be heading for Lomedor." Silnimare then walked out of the room, and began to head east towards Lomedor.
