Sasami - July 9, 2007 11:15 PM (GMT)
Sasami was riding her giant spider through the desert, towards any form of water or civilization. 'Damn, I've been out here for four hours with no food or water. This sucks so much" the fallen angel thought before slowing the spider down by pulling back its metal reins. It was late in the night and the moon was red from the constant wind blowing dust into the air. 'Might as well set up camp' she thought before pulling out the supplies and starting a fire. Sasami needed not a sleeping bag or a tent, just a fire to make it through the cold desert night. The giant spider moved to the other side of the fire as Sasami laid back and looked at the moon. 'The moon...how peaceful you are, you mock me with your bright glow. I cannot wait until Raku blackens your white surface' the angel thought before staring off into nothingness.

Versant - July 11, 2007 06:23 AM (GMT)
... Cold Very, very cold.

That was the main thought flowing through Versant's mind. Not hungry, he had bread. Not thirsty, there was water in his backpack. But cold, because preparing for the sweltering sun during the day, and the freezing winds at night proved too much of a hassle, on him and his pocket. He wasn't even sure why we decided to go into the desert, but he assumed it was because he wanted to find a few travelers, alive or otherwise. The pains of being a subconscious genius.

Nothing around, barely a sound or smell except for the blowing winds and shifting sands. He'd call it peaceful, but he was too busy shivering. The sights weren't too bad, at least. The moon was beautiful, and the skies were the same. Little could be said of the horizontal plane, though, so his sight was mainly focused above... Wow though, the moon was bright out in the desert. He'd nearly forgotten that. He had forgotten how slippery these sand dunes were, though. Especially if you tried to use a cane. So, his own staff was stuffed between the straps on his backpack. Not very uncomfortable once you're used to it, actually.

"... I think... I've forgotten something," he said to himself. He wasn't sure what he could have forgotten, since he didn't own much, but he felt he did leave something behind at his last stop... Maybe he payed a gold piece too much for the bread? Bah, not likely. Even if he did, it would just help the friendly shop owner some more. Though his door was a pain to fi-

It was partially because of the sand, partially because he was watching the sky, but The young Necromancer still slipped off the top of the sand dune he had apparently been walking up without even noticing. He was about to curse, or maybe just yell, but once he started to roll side-ways down the hill, his mouth soon filled with enough sand to make sure it was otherwise 'clean'. But the upside was he forgot about the cold.

He rolled for maybe... A minute straight, before he finally felt it start to curve, and himself slow. And he didn't so much stop as go slow enough to finally stop himself. With a bit of difficulty, taking into account the spinning, the sand, and the staff on his back, he stood back up... No damage at least, or damage he could see. Very good... Hey, wait, was that a fire...? Yes! Off in the distance there really was a flickering flame, beside it a large boulder... And a person!

"Wonderful!" Versant yelled, obviously a bit more pleased by this turn. Maybe they'd have something to go with his bread... like sliced pork! The thought itself was enough to start him running... And also make him forget he was still disoriented. So after a quick crash, and some more sand going out and in, and then standing again... He started to run once more to his bastion of better food.
