Title: Lost in the woods
Description: Open (that means post!)

ShienKula - July 5, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
The sun rose over the horizon, lighting up the sky and casting its rays across the woods. It shone through the leaves creating colored patterns through them, and casting shadows upon the floor.

At this time, SheinKula was currently sleeping, pleasantly, upon a strong branch with her head leaned against the trunk, her arms resting beneath it and one leg crossed over the other, her head leaned back slightly as she opened her mouth to take a breath then bowed again to let it back out. The light cast by the rising sun fell across her face, causing her to screw her eye up and moan slightly, she rolled over away from the light but in doing so tumbled off the branch.

ShienKula hit the ground and immediately woke up, rubbing her skull and sitting up angrily.
"Dumb tree," she muttered getting up.
She stretched for a moment and then settled down, looking about her for something to do.
"Let's see," she muttered out loud "I could probably go to get some breakfast, hm but there aren't any humans around here, guess I'll just have to settle with an animal."
Her stomach churned at the though, she was very specific when it came to food, in fact the only thing she could actually eat were hearts, and animal hearts didn't have much flavor in them at all, just instinct and that was about it.

She set off, sniffing about to try and find any stray wildlife, the problem being ShienKula was no hunter and made a really bad job of hunting animals, she passed by three rabbit holes and a squirrel up a tree without even noticing them, and once she spotted a banger she just leaped at it and caused it to charge away as soon as it heard her.
"Dumb creature," she muttered, spitting a few bush leaved out of her mouth.
She stood up and brushed herself down, muttering about uncooperative animals.

san shou - July 5, 2007 10:16 PM (GMT)
San shou was meditating in the woods,he was deep in thought thinking about new ways to train. San shou wanted a way of combining his elemental earth power with his ch'i.

He heard a thud and arouse from his cross legged-position. He looked around at his suroundings as he drifted back into awarness. He looked in the direction that he heard the bump. He saw a small girl getting up, it looked as if the girl had something on her head but he couldnt tell from this distance

San shou approached quietly. He was now close enough to see that the thing that was on her head are horns.

San shou Burst out laughing as the girl pounched at a badger only to eat leaves. He quikly calmed himself and realised that she had probably heard him laugh. Still he attempted to conceal himself from her vision though it would probably be in vein.

S shou whispered "come Guenwhyvere!" and a black panther leapt out from the tree's behind San shou and growlled silently. "Calm down friend,we don't know if she's friendly or an enemy yet"

San shou prepared his nunchucks and held them outfront incase he needed to block quikly. Guenwhyvere sank deep in her stance ready to pounce.

"It's ok,i mean you no harm,I was just wondering is there anything i can help you with?"

ShienKula - July 6, 2007 06:55 PM (GMT)
ShienKula grumbled a bit, still pulling a few loose twigs out of her hair.
"Dumb creature," she muttered "why can't it just accept that..."
She stopped and looked about, she'd heard something, or somebody, else; it sounded like laughing to her, and from the smell of it there were two of them, one smelled funny and wasn't the sort of scent she was used to.

SheinKula looked round and spied the two, one of them was clearly animal, keeping low to the ground, the other one looked fairly human. She then noticed the pair of nunchucks in his hands, however she had absolutely no idea what they were or why he had them.
"Oh," she said in reply to his statement "well if you're any good at catching things then...."
She looked round to see if the badger had come to its senses yet, gave up and looked back round at the stranger.
"Never mind," she said "it's nothing important."

She glanced down at the man's pet, it looked like a cat that had recently had a very large growth spurt and exercise; she knelt down, gazing at the creature in curiosity.
"So, I guess you're looking for breakfast too?" She asked, standing up "so I'd be grateful for some help; by the way, what are those?"
She indicated the weapons the stranger was holding, from her perspective they looked nothing more that a pair of sticks with a chain between them and her tiny mind was able to understand any other use than spinning around for the fun of it.

san shou - July 8, 2007 12:31 AM (GMT)
"I will help you,i do not eat meat you see i am a monk however my panther cannot live on vegetation as i can so guenwhyvere will help you stalk out some food, she is a master hunter."

San shou listened to her question about his weapon and smiled, he realised that to someone who had never seen nunchucks before they would seem pretty weird and harmless.

"well these weapons are called nunchucks and they're very fast and very deadly although they are hard to master."

ShienKula - July 11, 2007 05:25 PM (GMT)
"I see," ShienKula replied, still gazing at the 'weapon', from the name of it they sounded more like chucking nuns, and for a monk she though that almost appropiate.
"A monk, huh? Never met one of those before," she said "mind you I don't get out much."
She knelt down so her eye level was on the sma elevel as that of the man's large cat-like creature, it didn't look very cattish to her from this angle, more like some sort of badly evolved dog.

"So, Guenwhyvere is it?" She asked, not expecting it to reply "that's a bit of a long name."
She straightened up and looked back to the monk.
"Well, on the subkect of names, mine's ShienKula," she said "it's a little long too, so just call me chibi-Kura, okay?"
She gave him a childish smile, at the same time wondering how good an eversized kitten was at hunting.

san shou - July 22, 2007 03:33 PM (GMT)
"Pleased to meet you Chibi-kura,you may call me San shou,San for short."
San whistled and Guenwhyvere walked playfully up to chibi-kura and brushed against her leg.
"She likes you" San stated.
"Yes she will take you hunting i think."
"Yes it's not suprising you havent met many of my kind, there arent to many around especially ones that travel. I see no point in keeping to a temple, we learn ideals of living yet we are not alloed to practise or teach these ideals when we are confined to temple walls. So i travel teaching and learing at the same time."

Caine Faarl - July 22, 2007 09:58 PM (GMT)
Caine trodded hurriedly through the forest, keeping his footsteps as soft as he could, not that that was saying anything, being as clumsy as he was. He was starting to get sick of being lost, eager to find his way back into town and get something to eat. Having grown up in a city the shapeshifter had no idea how to recognize edible plants, and he's rather die than kill an animal. At last his ears began to pick up the sound of voices talking, though the actual conversation escaped him. Not that conversation was important, he was aware of their presense and approximate location, while they didn't notice him; he had the advantage. Or at least, he hoped he did.

Slowly moving closer to the voices he began to make out what they had been saying, though only tiny bits reached him well enough to actually be understood,
"A monk... one of those... I don't... much..." Then the second voice joined the conversation, continuing in Caine's ears as choppy words and fragmented sentences, "Yes its... many of my kind... especially ones... see no point... temple, we... we are not... practice or teach these... confined to... travel teaching and... same time..." Caine's eyebrows furrowed as he attempted to make sense of the conversation, trying to piece together imaginary words to form complete sentences, but to no avail. As the two commenced with their talking he took a couple steps backwards, intending to return to his quest of getting out of the words, only to step on a rather large branch, a cracking noise then echoing throughout the area, "Why the hell do I always get myself into things like these..." he whispered under his breath, taking the brief moment to ponder if escape was at all possible. There were a wide variety of birds in the forest, he could easily take the shape of one of them and fly off before they knew what hit them, but... Cursing slightly Caine kicked the branch out from under his feet, moving around the trees so as to bring himself into view, "Umm... hi..."

ShienKula - July 23, 2007 12:38 PM (GMT)
ShienKula laughed as the animal's fur brushed against her.
"She tickles," she explained, looking down at the creature "okay, hunting it is then."
She looked down at the animal again, smiling and giggling childishly, it may be huge but it was still just another friendly cat.
"Thanks," she said, smiling up at San "I'm kinda clumsy, so hunting isn't exactly my strongest point."

At that moment however, she looked up, apart from the hundreds of mixed scents available in the woods, she also caught something else that was different, and she was surprised that she hadn't smelt it before.
"Sorry," she said "I thought I..."
She tailed off, wandering if the Cat could smell it as well, her dragon-like senses meant her hearing was sharper than most demons and she could certainly smell unusual things, but whatever this thing was it smelled like nothing she'd seen before.
"Hm..."
She seemed to have completely forgotten that San was there, she seemed lost in her curiosity.

She looked back to San, her expression returning to her normal childish smile.
"Probably some sort of plant," she said "I kinda smell stuff really easily."
However her assumptions were cut immediately short by the sound of breaking wood and hushed curses. ShienKula jumped at the sound, having completely fooled herself there was nothing there after all. She looked up and saw a new figure looking nervously at them from behind a tree.

She sank to the ground, letting out a sigh of relief.
"Damn, that took me by surprise," she muttered as though she was the only person there."[/B]

san shou - July 24, 2007 02:48 AM (GMT)
As guenwhyvere brushed against the girl they both stiffened. San was used to the cat picking scents up but he had no idea a girl could even a demon child.

Guenwhyvere's face became taught and stiff and several lines apeared on her face as she stalked in a circle sniffing. She paused and looked in a direction and let out a fierce growl.
A thin figure walked out nervously from the trees and weakly said "umm....hi"

"Guenwhyvere, halt!" San called as guenwhyvere stopped in her tracks.

"Hello how may we help you sir?"Questioned San.
San guestured out a hand to help the girl up while looking at the stranger waiting for a reply.
Guenwhyvere slowly stalked toward San Never taking her eyes of the stranger.

Caine Faarl - July 27, 2007 12:26 AM (GMT)
((Sorry it took so long, the power's been out in our office for a couple days now :grr: And, since I'm leaving on Saturday, I'm going to try to withdraw Caine from the rp with at least a semi-believable reason Dx So if I fail to do that just continue on without me, pretend he's standing in some corner doing nothing >>))

Caine's body did nothing to relax, his hands twitched to be able to pick up his bow, feeling almost naked without it "Damn, that took me by surprise," the girl muttered to herself, having dropped to the floor, and the shapeshifter couldn't help but give her a sheepish grin as the other person present spoke, "Hello how may we help you sir?" Running one hand lazily through his hair, Caine diverted his attention towards the man, taking a couple steps forward as to show he meant no harm.

"Actually, I've... kind of gotten myself lost..." his grin flickered slightly, shoulders still taunt as the panther gazed at him, eyeing him suspiciously, clearly not trusting his presence, "So... I can just... you know, continue on my way, I figured that keeping myself hidden might not bode well with her." Caine's head nodded towards Guenwhyvere, "Or, should either of you know how to get out of here, any help would be greatly appreciated." The shapeshifter's differently coloured eyes shifted back and forth from the three beings sharing the small clearing with him, keeping an image of a hawk steady in his mind, ready to shift at any given moment. It was times like these that really made him glad he spent so much time working on perfecting his forms.
