Title: Leaving Home
veraina - June 22, 2007 12:13 AM (GMT)
Yunalesca stood on the forest floor, looking up at the city of the Elves, and shook her head. It was time for her to find a place that she belonged in. She turned with the grace of a dancer, and began walking away from the beautiful elven city. She shook her head silently as she thought of all the people that she was leaving behind. They are better off without me. She said in a cool tone of voice, trying to make herself beleive that. She saw her mother standing among the trees, her mom waved, but she did not wave in return, Yuna hated goodbyes. She continued walking smoothly through her home woods, the woods that she had grown up in. She did not run, she walked calmly through the trees. She kept her eyes focused on where she was going, she didn't want to look back anymore. She did not belong here. Her blood was tainted with human blood..three or four generations back...the rest was pure, but well, the elves seemed to forget how long ago that was. Yuna was nearly one hundred...but in human terms, she was barely twenty.
(not one of my better ones...)
The Blade Trinity - June 25, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
As the elf was walking away from her home, blade stayed in the trees to watch when he should jump down and say hello. in his entire life, he never really met a elf and this was the closest he could get to the city without being shot at by arrows. just before the elf was going to pass him, he jumped from the tree and landed with a thud onto the ground. "Hello." said blade kindly.

Yuna's muscles tightened as the male landed before her on the ground. She looked at him for a long moment before answering him at all. She didn't like the way he had been lurking in the trees this close to city. She raised one eye brow slightly. His voice had sounded kind, but there was something about him that made her uneasy.
"Hello. May I ask who you are?" Yuna said coolly, she did not sound angry, or like she was going to attack him, she just wanted to know who in the world he was.
She shook her head slightly, causing her light brown hair to fall oddly on her shoulders. Her eyes were shining in the now fading light of the deep forest. Her blue eye, on the left side, and her green eye, on the right, both looked at him very carefully, as if she was trying to decide what it was about this man that made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end but she could not put her finger on it.
Ellarae Listaire - July 7, 2007 06:39 AM (GMT)
Leaves crunched softly beneath her feet, disrupting the silence that the woods had fallen into, Ellarae walked swiftly, attempting to appear calm as her heart beat furiously. She was actually doing it. She was actually going to leave. It had taken quite a bit of convincing, seeing as she had no one to travel with, and her father was hardly about to let his youngest daughter leave by herself. But somehow she had done it, and there was no turning back now. Adjusting the bag she'd flung almost carelessly over her shoulder, her mind couldn't help but wander. Was she really doing the right thing? Sure her life had fallen into a boring cycle, but was she really ready to change this much of her life in such a short period of time?
She sighed softly, shaking her head as though to wipe the thoughts from her mind. The thoughts remained, however, and she was tempted to turn around right there. And what exactly would that accomplish? Ellarae pondered, I've spent so long to convince Father to let me leave, all I would be doing would be proving him right, that I'm not ready to step out into the world...
Her thoughts were broken by the sound of voices, and, not like she minded the absense of the seemingly neverending questions her mind could produce, she couldn't help but wonder who they were and what exactly it was they were discussing.
"Hello." Well, that seems courteous enough... she pondered, but continued to walk towards the voices, step pausing slightly as she heard the next voice, "Hello. May I ask who you are?" Mmm, wouldn't I like to know... again Ellarae's unwanted thoughts pierced through her mind, and, as she approached, she could tell that one of the people, she was guessing the second voice she'd heard, was another elf girl, while the man (if it was a man her thoughts echoed) appeared to be the first voice, and apart from that, she had no clue as to who or what he was.
"May I add onto that question and add 'what are you?'" Finally she spoke, certain that she was close enough to be heard, but, alas, Ellarae never really had a way with words, her brothers always moaned about the bluntness in which she spoke. A moment later, it occured to the elf maiden that for all the times she hadn't wanted to think, a potentially dangerous situation was when she decided not to think.
The Blade Trinity - July 14, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
"Blade Trinity. I came far to look in these woods when I saw the city, so before I was spotted, I jumped into the trees. And before you ask, I am a vampire and yes, I know I'm supposed to be immune to sunlight but I was attacked during the day, making me able to walk in the sun." said blade as he touched his double bladed mercy.
Yunalesca - January 2, 2008 02:07 PM (GMT)
Yuna's hand imeadatly went for her bow. "You're a what?" Yuna snarled, but she didn't pull it out all the way, nor did she go for an arrow. She stared at him.
A vampire that can walk in the sun. A vampire that can walk in the sun. Thats not funny...not funny at all. He could kill me......or worse. Yuna shook her head to stop that partciular train of thoughts before it could go any further what so ever. That was not a train that she needed to continue and scare herself even more with.
Another elf too? How odd today is turning out to be - and I've not even left the forest yet. What will I meet next, an Angel? A demon? A god 0r Goddess? Come on, vampires and another elf that wants to leave the forest...how common is that? Yuna's thought train had continued, but not down the same path, she didn't bother to force it to a halt. That just made for more work.
"Well hello, my Fellow Elf." Yuna said lightly in elven, deciding to be polite and greet her fellow elf, rather than to completely ignore her. While Yuna could be rude, she generally felt it better not to be. Even though she had spoken to the elf, her eyes had not left the vampire, Blade. His hand had touched his sword, and that was all that was needed to keep Yuna on edge.
