Title: What will I become? (good topic)
Description: Private: PM to join
Tanya - June 11, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
The sun was bright and clear as it beat down on the world below. A young teenager felt the light on her face warming her. Her rod was held loosely as she walked up to the entrance gate. She looked around as the city was full of hussle and bussle. People going to and fro from the shops and markets greeting eachother with grins and waves. She let her staff rest on her shoulder as she walked hanging her arms on either side of it. She knew today would be a good day.
She had come to the santuary to learn about the world here. She wanted to find a path in life. Unable to do so in her hometown of Estolad she went off as her father did. Just wondering the world taking on any job assigned to her. That was how he earned a living as a blacksmith. She watched as different people moved about. Elves, humans, Angels. All working together with other races as well to live in harmony. Guards on foot and horse patroled the town as she walked through the markets. She found the center to be a large square with a fountian in the middle. She smiled and decided to observe the area for now untill she thought of something to follow up on. Many times before she had been allowed to work with loomers and watch people work. Even her father allowed her to help on moving the cooler peices he worked with. She had even been trained by one of the Estolad Guards on how to fight. She picked a spot and sat on the fountian watching those go by.
Gwen Gamore - June 11, 2007 11:42 PM (GMT)
Gwen sat in a garden not far from the square. She was tending to the plants, feeling at home amongst the green. She smiled and gave flowers and fruits to the man people that walked by. She was currently dressed in her usual scantily clad outfit of leaves. She definitely looked out of place in the city, but Gwen did not mind. She felt right at home amongst the lavished garden that seemed more like a miniature forest in the city.
She was watering a few flowers while she scanned the crowd of people in the square. The nymph hummed a sweet melody to the flowers, thinking they grow better that way. Her voice was carried out by a gentle breeze, along with the aroma of her blooming flowers. It poured out into the entire city, filling it with a hint of her old forest home.
Her bright green eyes soon scanned over a new comer. She was not completely ecstatic to see a new face, as the city life served up new acquaintances every day. She was friendly though and gave out a friendly smile and a wave.
She then went back to playing with her plant friends. She held down a hand at a creeping vine and it twisted its way up and around her arm. She smiled and giggled at the life and vigor it showed. She then held her hand out towards the fence that contained her mini forest " There you go little one. Now you have something to grow along!"
Gwen had quite the green thumb and she used it well. Where there was the slightest patch of green, she could nurture it into a flourishing threshold of life. It was a talent the nymph people had. Dryads were expert gardeners and caretakers of the earth. Where ever they were the place looked greener. This was a talent nobody but her kind could master, but she liked teaching people about nature and how they too can live as one within it.
Zenith Meria - June 12, 2007 12:47 AM (GMT)
Since meeting, and falling in love with, Esgalrin Zenith Meria had managed to regain his ties to the angelic world of Arda. He now regularly went to the Sanctuary of the Angels to see some old friends, as well as to teach some of the young children the ways of a Cleric and Paladin, as well as some basic Arcane Arts as well. On this beautiful day the angel was once again at the Sanctuary and had not long left the home of a childhood friend, however now the Archangel of Life seemed to have a group of about eight little angel children around him. He could not help but smile as he listened to the calls of the children, they were calling out for Zenith to show them a trick again, it was a trick that Zenith showed them every time he came to the Sanctuary mainly because it was an easy way to amuse them and then be able to leave.
Letting out a small laugh the angel then said, “Ok kids, We will show you the trick again, but lets get into the Square first so that all your friends can see as well hmm?” All of the children nodded and quickly ran off to the Square awaiting Zenith, and the angel knew that if he even tried to leave now that the children would somehow catch him anyway. Although in truth he did not mind the attention, it was nice to once again feel welcomed at his birthplace after so many years of hatred towards himself and his older brother, everyone seemed to be passed that now and were actually helping Zenith to prepare his upcoming wedding.
Today Zenith was not wearing his battle armour, or carrying any of his Holy weapons for that matter, no the angel had went for a very simple choice in clothing today. He wore a long baggy pair of black clerical trousers that draped over his black walking boots, on his top half the angel had on a white and black, sleeveless, clerical tunic with two opening in its back for his extremely large white wings. The hair of the angel was up in its usually way why three little spikes coming out of the top while the rest of his glistening brown hair flowing passed his shoulders and down by his cheeks.
It was not long before Zenith had reached the Square and saw the children up ahead, although by now their numbers had grown much larger than the eight that had first spoken to him. Walking over to the children Zenith heard them call out, “Where is he Zenith? Where is Keal?” The angel let out another little bit of laughter before placing his right hand out towards the children, however the open palm was empty but not for long! Poking its head out of the collar of Zenith tunic was a little mouse; it then quickly ran down Zeniths arm and looked right at the children with its tiny, yet very cute, eyes. The angel then said, “There he is, now time to show the trick again then.” Once saying this Zenith brought his left hand close to his right, he then used one of his most basic of spells to create a small spark of fire in his left hand.
The mouse, known as Keal, looked at the fire then jumped up and down in Zeniths hand for a moment, Zenith then used the power within his Flame Dance Ring to shape the small spark of fire into a small hoop of flames. He then looked at Keal and nodded, with that the mouse suddenly jumped forward and through the flamed hoop. It had cleanly gotten through the hoop without getting hurt and landed in Zeniths left hand before the flame hoop dissipated. Seeing that the mouse was safe again the children all clapped and cheered, after a few moments Zenith said to the children, “Now go on now, your parents must be expecting you home for lunch kids. I should be in town till tomorrow so you will see me again ok?” The kids all laughed before running off towards their homes to their parents so that they could get fed.
Only then did Zenith look around to see who else was in the Square at that time, he saw a very young looking woman with a staff sitting and looking about at what was in the Square. With another smile Zenith looked down to Keal and said, “Come on boy, time to make the visitor welcome!” The mouse nodded before running up the left arm of Zenith, then climbing the angels’ hair before resting on the top of his head. It seemed this was one of the favourite places for Keal to rest; however Zenith did not exactly know why.
As Keal got comfy on Zeniths head the angel started to walk over towards the woman, while walking over to her he noticed another woman tending to the flowers in the Garden not to far off so he gave the woman a small wave and a friendly smile, after all on a day such as that when the sun was out in full and the beauty of the Sanctuary could be seen in full there was no need to show anything other than compassion to others. Only a few seconds after waving towards the other woman Zenith had reached the young girl with the staff.
He took a small bow towards the woman, while Keal did the exact same thing from on top of the angels’ head. Zenith then kindly said, “Hello their young Miss, are you new to the Sanctuary? If so would you like some company? Sorry I seem rather forward, but it is a sad sight to see people on their own on such a glorious day such as this!” Once saying this Zenith awaited on her reply, while at the same time Keal was looking down towards her with his cute little eyes.
Tanya - June 12, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
Tanya looked over to a garden as a Nymph...no not a nymph, dryad worked on a little garden by the square. Tanya watched her as she worked. She suddenly looked up at her. Tanya could not see the expression on her face but the woman had waved to her. Tanya gave a wave back and smiled. Suddenly children ran towards the square and began to talk amonst themselves about when someone, she did not hear who though, would come to the square. She looked away remembering her life at that age. Young and content on going off on adventures. She never had thought much of staying in one place for long, she hoped that the occupation she chose allowed her such things.
Finally the children called and she looked over as an Archangel joined them. The children called out to him, “Where is he Zenith? Where is Keal?” they asked him. The angel gave a chuckle and held out his hands as a small mouse ran from his collar to the palm. “There he is, now time to show the trick again then.” he said and as she watched she saw the little mouse, most likely named Keal, jump through a flame hoop and land safely in Zeniths other hand.
The children cried out in joy as Zenith shooed them away to return home which they promptly did. Tanya turned and watched the Dryad woman a little longer before looking at the merchants selling their wares. Maybe a merchant? They are always out and about looking for people to barter with. she thought as a shadow appeared by her, she turned and found the angel who had done the mouse trick earlier. She smiled at him as he gave a bow to her, his mouse did the same. “Hello their young Miss, are you new to the Sanctuary? If so would you like some company? Sorry I seem rather forward, but it is a sad sight to see people on their own on such a glorious day such as this!” He said.
Tanya smiled as the Angel offered her company. She stood and gave a bow to them. "Yes I am new here to the Sanctuary of Angels. My first time to be exact. And company sounds great. But it is considered rude to be in ones company, especially a girls, before you've been introduced and know each others names. I am Tanya Erudne, its a pleasure to meet you sir. And I thought the little act your mouse friend did was very splended." she said smiling at the small mouse.
Zenith Meria - June 14, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
It was not long before Zenith heard the young woman before him speak as she said, "Yes I am new here to the Sanctuary of Angels. My first time to be exact. And company sounds great. But it is considered rude to be in ones company, especially a girls, before you've been introduced and know each others names. I am Tanya Erudne, its a pleasure to meet you sir. And I thought the little act your mouse friend did was very splended." Zenith smiled once the young, and very well mannered, woman said this before he said in reply, “Oh I am very sorry Miss Erudne, my name is Zenith Meria, an Archangel of Life and Divine Protector of Lothlómendil and it is a pleasure to meet you. Me friend here..” He said motioning up towards the mouse, “Is called Keal, he may not look like much but he had always been by my side and in truth I owe him my life.” The smile was still across the lips of Zenith once saying all of this.
Slowly he took a seat near the woman and shifted his travel pack to the front of his form, reaching into the pack Zenith took out some Lembas Wafers as well as a couple of Fizzy Beverages. Breaking off a small chunk of one of the Wafers Zenith handed up to Keal who frantically started to munch down on the snack. Once Keal had taken his piece Zenith turned towards Tanya and said, “Would you like some Lembas Wafers and perhaps a Fizzy Beverage Miss Erudne?” Once saying this Zenith set the drink down for her in case she wanted it and also passed forth some of the Wafers.
As Zenith sat there with the woman he felt a strange energy, it was as if this young Tanya woman was looking for something, but what that something was Zenith did not exactly know. The angel then said once more, “Miss Erudne, if I am crossing the mark here just let me know. But I was wondering if you would be interested in learning the ways of a Paladin or a Cleric? You see I have been searching for an apprentice and I have a strong feeling that you have the soul needed for such a placement.” The angel then stopped talking and waited on the reply of the woman, if she would take up his offer then Zenith would gladly teach her all that she needed to know in order to be a powerful force of Light in the world of Arda.
((OOC: Sorry my post sucks  ))
Tanya - June 16, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
Zenith seemed pleased that Tanya was well mannered, and she liked that. “Oh I am very sorry Miss Erudne, my name is Zenith Meria, an Archangel of Life and Divine Protector of Lothlómendil and it is a pleasure to meet you. Me friend here..” he said then gestured to the mouse, “Is called Keal, he may not look like much but he had always been by my side and in truth I owe him my life.” He replied. Tanya smiled and nodded at the mouse who still looked as cute as he did doing tricks. She knew that Zenith would not let anything happen. If the mouse would miss he would cancel the spell and help him before anything happened. Zenith slowly sat next to her and took out a pack rummaging through it. She wondered what he was looking for. She saw him take out some bottles and some sort of waffer. He broke off a peice and handed it up to the mouse who took it and began to eat it rapidly. He set a bottle next to her and handed her a waffer as well, “Would you like some Lembas Wafers and perhaps a Fizzy Beverage Miss Erudne?” he asked. She smiled and nodded, "Thank you sir." she said and broke off a small peice and popped it into her mouth. It was sweet and tasty and she smiled as she watched the mouse eat his peice. She watched the square once more, it seemed as if people were continuing their lives even though the war was still going on. She wondered how those she knew in Estolad were doing on the Moon, she worried for some of them. Some went to help protect it while some went to aid Raku. If she was asked to join the war, what side would she choose. She had learned a few things about herself, such as the disease was somehow connected with another being who was once in Arda, but that was basicly it. And that she learned from a friend who was more like a sister to her.
She felt Zenith watching her for a moment, almost as if he was puzzled by something then he began to speak. She turned back to him. “Miss Erudne, if I am crossing the mark here just let me know. But I was wondering if you would be interested in learning the ways of a Paladin or a Cleric? You see I have been searching for an apprentice and I have a strong feeling that you have the soul needed for such a placement.” Tanya seemed puzzled at the thought. She looked at the ground and popped another peice of waffer in her mouth to allow herself to think, Hmm...A paladin or cleric? I know of paladins, Umbra told me they were always to be trusted. And Clerics are healers. Maybe a cleric, I never was much of a fighter, I actually liked helping people, and both do that. She thought then swallowed the waffer. She looked over at Zenith, "Actually, Mr. Meria the thought never occured to me. I have been looking for a path to take. My father almost all over Arda when he came to Estolad and became a blacksmith. He said that I should find my own calling. But a Paladin or Cleric sound most interesting." she said smiling.
Zenith Meria - June 18, 2007 03:16 PM (GMT)
As the angel waited on the reply of Tanya he softly placed a small piece of the wafer into his mouth savouring the flavour given off by them on his taste buds. These very wafers had become a delicacy for the angel as he had been eating them on his travels for a while now. He then took the bottled beverage into his left hand before removing its lid and placing the head of the bottle close to his lips. Then tilting his head back the angel allowed the liquid to smoothly flow down his throat, the taste of the beverage a little unclear due to the lingering taste of the wafers. Once Zenith had taken a large drink out of the bottle he gently placed it back down to his side before passing up another small segment of the wafer to Keal, who in truth was getting wafer crumbs all over the angels hair. It was then that Zenith heard Tanya say, "Actually, Mr. Meria the thought never occurred to me. I have been looking for a path to take. My father almost all over Arda when he came to Estolad and became a blacksmith. He said that I should find my own calling. But a Paladin or Cleric sound most interesting." Her reply had made him smile, and had also made Keal let out a little squeak as if he was happy as well.
Turning to face Tanya once more Zenith said in reply, “Yes the life of a Paladin and Cleric is very interesting indeed, take me for instance. I am only nineteen years of age, yet I have already done all training as a Divine Protector with Lothlómendil and gained many other skills in doing so. I feel that with my help you could become a powerful healer in the world of Arda and do so much good for this world. With your help Miss Tanya I feel that the powers of Life and Light will be able to push back the Chaos and Darkness in Arda farther.” Once Zenith had said this Keal vanished from sight, his true power now being shown as the mouse Teleported right next to Tanya and looked up towards her.
In truth Keal was linked to Zenith in a very special way, the mouse was able to use every single spell that the angel had learned throughout his life, and would also be able to use any new ones Zenith was to learn in the future to come. The angel had suddenly went silent when Keal teleported as he did not exactly know how Tanya would react to it, he just had to hope that the young girl would not be freaked out by the sudden display of true magic the mouse could do. With nothing else passing by his lips and waiting on the reply of Tanya Zenith started to circle his wedding ring around his finger.
Tanya - June 19, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
Tanya watched as Zenith gave another piece of wafer to Keal, the mouse began to devour it immediately, apparently he loved them. Zenith turned to her as she expressed her feelings about being a Cleric or Paladin. Zenith smiled and Keal gave a slight squeak like he was cheering as well. “Yes the life of a Paladin and Cleric is very interesting indeed, take me for instance. I am only nineteen years of age, yet I have already done all training as a Divine Protector with Lothlómendil and gained many other skills in doing so. I feel that with my help you could become a powerful healer in the world of Arda and do so much good for this world. With your help Miss Tanya I feel that the powers of Life and Light will be able to push back the Chaos and Darkness in Arda farther.” Zenith said.
Suddenly at that moment Keal teleported to Tanya’s side, she seemed shocked for a second but she smiled and pat it on the head. She broke off a piece of wafer and handed it to him. She then put another piece in her mouth and thought of what Zenith had said. He had taken the path of the Divine Protector. He was the only person she knew to take that path, and to be trained by the Goddess of Life, that would be something amazing. He even commented on her helping heal the people in Arda. She looked at Zenith once again, he seemed to know what he was talking about, he was only nineteen years old and he had accomplished so much.
She looked at Keal and pet him once again as Zenith fidgeted with a ring on his finger. She smiled as she thought about being a cleric or paladin. She was not much of a fighter, but to be a Cleric, that might be an adventure in itself. She considered the path of a Cleric; she would be going everywhere and helping heal people. She had thought of many things she had considered but Cleric seemed to pull at her more than others. “Perhaps being cleric would be a path I would be wanting to take.” She replied looking at the Angel with a look of interest in her eyes. Perhaps this was her calling after all.
Zenith Meria - June 20, 2007 03:41 PM (GMT)
Keal looked up towards Tanya as she petted him lightly on the head on handed him another small piece of the wafer. The mouse gentle took the small piece before jumping from side to side with glee. It seemed he was having a good time on that day, and in turn was also being fed a lot. As the mouse jumped from side to side he munched at the wafer, tiny little bits being caught in its whiskers. Once the wafer was finished Keal looked from Zenith and back to Tanya, he then used another little spell and raised himself into the air. Yes, the mouse was flying, deal with it.
Now in the air Keal used some Telekinesis to break off another piece of wafer from Zenith and drag it towards himself before he frantically started to eat it. At that moment Zenith was about to say something to Keal when he heard Tanya say, “Perhaps being cleric would be a path I would be wanting to take.” This brought another smile to the angel as he looked towards Tanya. He was glad to hear that she was thinking of becoming a Cleric. The angel then softly said in reply, “Well the life of a Cleric, although demanding, can be very rewarding. Knowing you are helping aid the sick, it is truly spectacular Tanya. If you do choose to take the path of a Cleric then I shall do all that I can to help in your training, I will even try and teach you the healing spells that I know.” He then stopped talking and looked back to Keal for a moment before looking back to his ring.
It was then that Zenith said, “Hard to believe that at my age I am already getting married right?” As he said this the angel started to slightly laugh before taking a small drink of his Fizzy Beverage and waiting on a reply from Tanya, Keal on the other hand was still using Telekinesis to steal more and more of the wafers.
Tanya - July 5, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
Tanya smiled as she watched Keal steal another peice of waffer. Zenith smiled at her answer and then spoke up. “Well the life of a Cleric, although demanding, can be very rewarding. Knowing you are helping aid the sick, it is truly spectacular Tanya. If you do choose to take the path of a Cleric then I shall do all that I can to help in your training, I will even try and teach you the healing spells that I know.” he said. She smiled as she watched Keal take another peice of waffer.
She had once felt the need for strength, but strength came in many different ways. Perhaps the true strength she desired was really in her heart, not muscles. She looked at the sky as the clouds rolled by remembering how she looked at them as a child. She had dreams of where a man took her flying in thunderstorms, but those were her secrets. She wondered what it would be like to fly up there in the sky.The life of a cleric. one of healing and helping. I remember all the time when we used to play and I was a hero and such. Maybe this is my chance to become one. she thought as she remembered her adventures as a child.
She closed her eyes and thought of what her mother would say about it. She knew what her mother would say, to chose a path she wanted, for destiny would reveal it to her. But she also wondered what her friends would think, she had some who were all for strength, but she was not one who easily won, her strength was in her heart. She knew this to be true, if she went down any path she would not be successfull. She nodded and got up and looked at Zenith and gave a bow. "Mr Meria, I would be honored if you would train me as a Cleric." she said hoping that he would train her.
Zenith Meria - July 10, 2007 11:47 AM (GMT)
The Archangel still sat there looking at the wedding ring on his finger, he was starting to get very nervous about the wedding that would be happening soon but at the same time he knew that Esgalrin was the only one he ever wanted to be with. With a happy sigh passing by his lips the Angel lifted his head to look towards Tanya seeing the woman with her eyes closed as if she was deep in thought. Just seeing Tanya like this made Zenith smile as he thought to himself, “She really would make a great Cleric, I do not feel any evil coming from her, and her kind nature would help anyone feel at ease that she was trying to heal. Yes, she really does have everything needed to be a perfect Cleric of Life.” Once thinking this Zenith moved his head to look at Keal and saw that the mouse was now asleep on his shoulder, it was actually a rather cute little sight.
Suddenly Tanya nodded and got to her feet while giving a small bow to Zenith and saying, "Mr Meria, I would be honoured if you would train me as a Cleric." Just hearing these very words made the smile across the lips of Zenith grow wider before he stood to his feet again and said in reply to Tanya, “Of course I will train you as a Cleric Miss Tanya, and it would be my honour!” With the last of these words slipping past the angels slightly opened lips he bowed to Tanya so that she knew he was sincere. Standing up straight again Zenith went silent for a few moments as he looked up towards the beautiful blue sky, the Archangel of Life really did enjoy the beauty of nature and even though his goal was to follow the teachings of Lothlómendil he would still always so all that he could do protect nature as well.
Looking down towards Tanya again, still with the large smile spread along his lips, Zenith said in a calm voice, “Well before we start your training Tanya would you like to get something to eat? While we are there we can discuss the skills that you already know so that I know exactly what kind of training I will have to teach you.” Once saying this Zenith stood there waiting on the reply of the young woman.
Tanya - July 12, 2007 10:12 PM (GMT)
She stood up straight and watched as Zenith too stood up after a moment, Keal sound asleep on his shoulder. “Of course I will train you as a Cleric Miss Tanya, and it would be my honour!” he said. She closed her eyes and smiled as Zenith bowed to her. She was going to be a Cleric, and with Zeniths help, she might be one of the best Clerics ever. “Well before we start your training Tanya would you like to get something to eat? While we are there we can discuss the skills that you already know so that I know exactly what kind of training I will have to teach you.” he said.
She nodded to the Archangel, "Sounds like a plan sir." she said and turned to look over at Keal as he slept silently. The mouse was certianly cute when he was sleeping, no wonder the younger children loved to see him. "I know of an old tavern that has some of the best food here if you want to go there. You might know about it; it is called "The Wings of the Santuary." They have some of the best food in Arda." she said "Or we can go somewhere else if you want to." she added.
She wondered how it would be when she became a cleric, would she be traveling through the land of Ea or would she stay in Estolad to help people there only; no matter what she did she felt that this was her true path in life, she knew she would become a good friend to those who were injured. She had always been one of the strong people in the group of children she hung out with.
