The Parmamar Library was extremely large, to say the least. The best bit was that it was full of books, from left to right and top to bottom. There were books about Dragons and books about Elves. Books about baking cakes without burning down the house and books about personal hygiene and even a book about the language of trolls, (if you could call it a language. Trolls only seemed to point and grunt, occasionally whacking the ground with their clubs and stuff like that).
Sitting in one of the corners was an elderly man, wearing sea blue robes which seemed to compliment his gray beard and hair. He was reading a book entitled, "100 uses for Dragon Scales," for two reasons. One: Dragon Scales were extremely useful and could be used for all manner of things. Two: the author actually managed to get close to a Dragon and pull off it's scales without being char-grilled by the so-said Dragon.
The elderly man took something out of his pockets, a long pipe in which he placed one end in his mouth. He then began to ruffle through his pockets before finding a pouch of multi-colored tobacco. Sifting through the colors, the elderly man looked at the green one and decided that it would do. Placing the rest of the tobacco in his pocket, the elderly man stuffed his pipe full of green tobacco and then watched as the pipe lit itself.
He took a deep puff before blowing a smoke ring into the sky, whilst the smoke from the pipe filled the area of the library with the aroma of peppermint. He barely got another puff out when he felt a tap on the shoulder. Turning around: the elderly man locked gazes with the elven librarian, who pointed a sign above the elderly man that showed a picture of a pipe in a red 'no-entry' sign.
Immediately, the elderly man put out his pipe and stuffed it into his pockets before saying sorry. The elven librarian simply turned around and muttered something about silly old men not looking at signs, and how he hated the smell of peppermint in the morning.
The elderly man went back to his book, raising his eyes in surprise as he found out that Dragon Scales made good sombreros if made properly, before placing the book down and getting up to find another book.
Blade wishfully watched the elderly man read the book about dragon scales and what to do with them. Sitting quietly behind a bookshelve, he wondered what exactly the man wanted to do with dragon scales. For his friend was half dragon and had some of his scales pulled off in which he told Blade that it hurt badly, for him anyways. When he looked up again for he had fallen asleep, th librarian was standing over the man shoulders telling him to put out his pipe, blade then decided it was time to go up to the man and ask him how he could learn more about magic. But when he started to get up, he also noticed that the man closed his book and started looking for another book to read. "I'll wait until he sits down before going up to him." thought blade.
