Description: open to all. 200+ words please!

Drygonsky - June 4, 2007 11:52 PM (GMT)
Drygonsky sighed as he strolled down the sunlit streets of Lomedor square. For an unknown reason, the streets were nearly empty, except for several frantic shoppers buying big stores of food. Many people stared at him, perhaps wondering why he was so casually strolling, while others hurried into their houses, locking them quickly, and peering out of small windows, faces pale. Finally, an old lady came up to Drygonsky and whispered fiercely, bearing a small lisp, "What are you doing out in the open? THEY could kill you! You had better hurry to your house! Where do you live?" Drygonsky looked at the woman's eyes. She appeared to be telling the truth, but Drygonsky had just come into Lomedor Square. He cocked his head slightly and then said, "I am sorry Ma'am, but I have don't know what you're talking about. Is there a beast roaming around somewhere? Why do people eye me strangely and rush to their houses?" the woman sighed and then began to talk quickly, while edging towards a small house, "Pipe down! Must you talk so loudly? At this, she scanned the streets and then dashed to the door. "Come, we can talk more inside!" Drygonsky followed the old lady inside, noticing the beat-up furniture, and a warm old feeling around the house. There was no one else in the house. "What is going on? Are all people in Lomedor crazy, or--" Drygonsky began, before stopping from a fierce look from the lady, "I'm not crazy, and I can tell from your clothes and what you know, that you are indeed a wanderer. Am I incorrect? Drygonsky shook his head. "Well, there are unseen things that float around this town. Every so often, they get angry and kill people out on the street. They die quickly and quietly. No one can be killed in buildings though." the woman waited quietly for his response. Drygonsky stared at her uneasily, before heading towards the door, " I am sorry Ma'am, but I must be leaving." He stared out a window, before walking out into the streets, looking around quickly, then just standing there with his hands to the sky. "Nothing's happening!" he called.

Luces, tired, stumbled into the old lady that Drygonsky stumbled into. "Good day, Marm. Who are you running from?" It's them! she shouted. Luces turned around and looked behind him. "Marm, what are you..." The old woman wasn't there. "That's strange," he murmured to himself. He kept on strolling along down the streets. He spotted Drygonsky. "Hello, Drygonsky. How are you doing? You aren't drinking to much, are you? You're shivering." As he was talking, a white mist wrap around him. "And do you know why the streets are jam-packed with emptiness? They should be full by this time." His fangs shone in the sunlight. The mist was light, but it was fogging up quickly. What in the world is this mist doing here? Out in the distance came a loud hiss. Luces drew in closer to Drygonsky, his fur brushing against his. "Good Liara! What was that?" The hissing grew louder and louder. It grew so loud as it drifted closer. Then, suddenly, the hissing stopped. Luces took a step foward...and froze. His fur was icing up. "What the--?" He tried to unlock himself from his frozen binding, but it wouldn't give away. "Help!"

Drygonsky - June 5, 2007 11:38 PM (GMT)
Drygonsky gasped, so the lady was telling the truth! he thought, bewildered. "Quick Luces, we must get into a building, I'll explain later!" Drygonsky said as he grabbed Luces hand and dragged him towards a building. He began to walk in, when a man stopped him. He appeared to be a guard of some sort. "Excuse me, what do you think you are doing?" the guard
said slowly, showing off a very falsetto smile. Drygonsky growled at the man quickly, "Excuse me, sir, please let us in!" the guard's smile grew wider, and he shook his head, "Sorry laddy, no one that doesn't have a pass shouldn't even think of trying to come in!" his smile faded and he began to sweat when he saw the cloud of mist that followed them, "the unseen..." the man breathed, "Hurry, in, in, in!" the man shoved them through the door and then launched himself in as well. He bolted the door shut, his adam's apple bobbing up and down his thin throat. The door was being shoved by some strong force from the outside, and the bolts and locks were on the verge of breaking, when suddenly all was calm. It was as if the mysterious forces had just disappeared. "You should of told me that THEY were chasing you! I would have let you in sooner." Drygonsky thanked the man and was about to walk out of the door, when the man held the handle. "you won't want to be going out this soon, young one. No one ever goes out after an attack until around an hour after it happened." he smiled weakly and then explained more, "Just a rule of the town, son." the man rang an alarm, then his voice sounded out on the Loud speakers. "No one may go out of a building until the clock strikes 12:00, I repeat, No one may go out of a building until the clock strikes 12:00!" Drygonsky stared at the man dumbstruck, Twelve? he asked weakly, Twelve," the man confirmed quietly.

Luces clawed at the mist. "I'm coming Drygonsky." He tried to run but the mist seemed to cling onto him. "Drygonsky! Help again!" Too late. Drygonsky dissapeared into the darkness. Luces ran, gasping for a breath as the mist seemed to clog his throat. He stopped in his tracks and fainted.

Luces felt light. He felt transparent. He opened his eyes and gasped. He opened his mouth and tried to speak but no words came out. A voice appeared in his mind. Who goes there?
I'm Luces from Lomedor.
So you are. Why have you come here?
Where are you?
Over here. A vivid figured appeared out of nowhere. He was an elf, bright as day. He was also standing.
Do you know where you are?
No.
Mean either. My name is Larmee.
Hello. I don't know how I ended up here but I remembered I was running from this fog.
Oh! The unseen spirits?
Is that what they are called?
Yes. I think I can help you... The elf faded from his site.
Do not leave Larmee!
I'll be back. Just stay right here.

Arkaru - June 6, 2007 09:48 PM (GMT)
Karu strode down Lomedor Square, completely not terrified of the so called: "unseen". He smirked at anyone who came to near to him, and startled a couple of other people. He caught sight of many people staring frightened out of half-closed windows. All he did was point at them and laugh to himself. He heard screams and then sauntered over to see what had happened. He saw a Lupine trapped in a cloud of mist that surrounded him completely. He seemed to have fallen unconscious, and was laying on the ground. Karu was normally evil, but he took pity on the young Lupine and knelt by him to feel for a pulse.

Thump..............................Thump..............................Thump

There it was, but very faint, and each one was separated by the next one by a long pause. Hmmm... I could use a Lupine that would fight for me... Karu thought as he made a plan in his mind. I'll just pretend to be the young Lupine's friend, then I'll ask him a favor, and... or I could just capture him... or... There are so many choices that I could do... I wonder. Hmm, yes that would work! Karu smiled and put the Lupine's head in his lap. "There, there." he murmured, stroking the unconscious Lupine's head. He laughed, it wasn't a happy, or normal laugh, it was a bloodcurdling evil laugh that one makes before beginning an evil plan.

Luces sat there, feeling lost. There was absoulutly no light except for the faint glow of a distante Larmee. He sighed, waiting for her return. The light suddenly blanked out. Larmee! he 'cried' out. Where are you? There was a eerie silence. He started to sob when a distant speck of light caught his eyes. The speck grew into a walking man. The walking man grew into a tall male elf with long flowing hair and a habit. There was a woman next to him that looked like him, wearing a gown. There was also Larmee. The woman was carrying a large messenger's bag and the man, a lanturn. That is Luces. Larmee pointed at him. The woman smiled at him. Hello, Luces. I'm Delarien.
And I'm Belselque. The man bowed dramaticaly at him.
Hello, Delarien. Hello Belselque. Do you know why I'm here?
Yes. You have been captured by the Unseen, but They haven't killed you yet.
And we have come to free you.
You see, Luces, Delarien is the master of locks and Belselque is the master of tools.
Belselque bent down towards his feet.
Those are some pretty nice shackles. It appears that they are Class F, Section 22 shackles. You need a knife.
Thank you, Belselque. Delarien drew a knife from the bag she was carrying. Belselque lowered the lamp to Luces's paws. Delarien raised the knife above her head.
What are you doing?
This won't hurt a bit, Luces. Just stay calm.
Luces shut his eyes tight as the knife was brought down on his feet. He felt heavy and solid again. He heard Larmee call. Good bye, Luces! He waved back. A thin mist was closing the hole where he disappeared. Right as the hole was about to close, Larmee screamed. He felt himself materielize as the elf girl slamed into him. It hurt. Luces screamed. He felt the hard stone of the Lomedor streets. His eyes fluttered open. A elf girl laid sprawled across his body. He put a soft paw on her and looked up into the eyes of a man. He yelped. "Who are you?" He tried to scrambled up, but the weight of Larmee held him down. "Are you a friend or foe?"

Arkaru - June 7, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)
"Oh, don't worry," Karu reassured the young Lupine, "What is your name?" he smiled fakely, "I'm Arkaru Goldeye, but you can jut call me Karu." he smiled again, showing pearly white teeth that stood out against his mane of black hair. His gold eyes sparkled in the sunlight. He stood up, holding out a hand to the Lupine. "Need help up? he offered, smiling once more. For just a moment, it seemed as if evil and darkness flashed in his friendly looking eyes, but it disappeared instantly. Arkaru sighed and then his brow furrowed, "I'm very sorry, but I am afraid that I must go do some buisness..." He smiled once more before turning and walking away.

Karu strode back down the street, looking for any more clouds of mist. He saw another one surrounding a young kid. He walked over to an alley and hid behind it watching the kid. Just like Luces, the kid suddenly woke and the mist disappeared. He went over to the kid and smiled, he began to try to convince him to come with him, as soon as he learned that the kid was an orphan...He would be a good appretice to teach things to... He looked young and innocent enough, but that will all change soon! he thought as the kid finally nodded his head and followed him.

Drygonsky - June 8, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
Drygonsky looked around, before finally realising what was wrong... " Luces, where are you?" he yelled frantically, before pushing the guard out of the way, and emerging out on the streets. He saw a man with black hair walking away with a small orphan child, but no sign of his Lupine friend anywhere. Drygonsky pulled his fingers throught his hair frantically, before looking around again, still no sign of Luces. "LUCES!!!" he yelled once more, looking agitated. He took a couple of trembling steps forward before coming to a halt. Drygonsky put his hands in his pockets and then walked around Lomedor Square, trying not to look suspicous. He kept a very careful watch for any sign of mist, and didn't see any. The mist must be attacking elsewhere... he thought, trying to figure out where the mist was. He saw some smoke rising from a house, and ducked down, before realising that it was just smoke. He sighed before wiping a trembling hand over his forehead. He kept on walking, until he stumbled over a human body. He tripped and fell. He looked behind him and saw Luces lying in the ground. "Luces?" he whispered quietly, hoping that the young Lupine was still alive...

Marget - June 8, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
Luces woke Larmee. "Where am I?" she whispered.
"In the streets of Lomedor," he answered so only she could hear him.
"Where...is that?"
"Stay awake, Larmee. I know you are new to this place but just keep awake." Larmee nodded. He turned back to this Arkaru. "I'm Luces. This here is...uh...Delarine." Larmee gave a weak smile and waved. "No, I don't need help." Helping Larmee stand up, he took her hand and stood up himself. "I'm very sorry, but I am afraid that I must go do some buisness..."
"That's okay..." As Karu walked away, Luces glared at him. "I don't think he really wanted to help..."
"Let's not make assumptions.""Something's fishy about him..."
Minuets after Karu left the alley, Drygonsky came flying around the corner, crashing into Luces. "Luces?" "Drygonsky? DRYGONSKY!" He hugged him barely letting him go. "You're here, Drygonsky. I knew you would come for me." He whipped Drygonsky around. "This here is Larmee. She is this elf I met in the..."
"I don't know what it's called, but Belselque calls the land Enigami."
"Yes. We better get back into the building. Actually no, the fog has cleared away. Thank you Drygonsky. I'll see you later." With that, Luces walked out with Larmee, hand in hand, elf and lupine.

(Out, but I'll make one last reply if you post back.)

Drygonsky - June 13, 2007 11:10 PM (GMT)
Drygonsky blinked his brown eyes, there he was! Drygonsky smiled warmly in the strong grasp of Luces. "Where have you been?" Drygonsky demanded, his eyes full of joy. Drygonsky furrowed his brow as the two walked away, " Are you sure that you two will be okay?" as they walked away, Drygonsky sighed, Oh well... he thought to himself, just a little bit depressed, I can always find something else to do. he sighed again, longer and deeper. I guess maybe I'll just go and try to find some more of that weird mist. I wonder if it can be killed? Drygonsky thought, imagining himself swinging his short sword quickly, and chopping the mist in half, to turn around and see all of the people cheering for him. His eyes glazed over and he sat down, seeming to see something faraway...

Drygonsky! Drygonsky! Drygonsky! The cheering grew and then suddenly faded... One of the people came up and gave him a trophy. His name was carved into it, and it read:
QUOTE
Drygonsky: "Unseen Slayer"
he smiled in his state and then the smile dropped. The mist had come back alive and there were now two, Drygonsky weakly grasped for his sword, but the mist was now upon him...

Drygonsky flinched as ice cold, filthy water dropped down onto his head, running down his back. The images in his head instantly snapped away, and Drygonsky came back to the real world. He looked up, expecting to see some laughing child that had pulled a trick on him, but instead saw a window shutter to a clothes cleaning store bang closed. He groaned, today had probably been one of the worst days he'd had...

Luces had left him, and no one else was with him, his dream had gone impossibly wrong, and now this! Why couldn't his day have been better... He now had no where to stay, and with no one... He groaned again, before slowly leaning over, and sleeping in the trashed streets of Lomedor...

Marget - June 17, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
"Somewhere."
"Yes, we are okay."

Luces strolled around the corner. It had been shortly after what happened to him. Larmee found a distant cousin of hers and was now snuggly tucked away in the house. He sighed.
That reminds me. I still have to see my sister again. Yeah. She was somewhere in... He drifted off in his thoughts, rounding a corner. There was the tepee. Luces took one last look around before crawling inside the tepee. The city seemed strangely quiet...
