Title: Pretending To Read
Description: ;; Zenny

Louise Pnomelle - May 31, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)

A deep frown graced Louise's lips as she looked about, her eyes narrowed and her eyebrows furrowed just slightly in a sympathetic manner. Whom was she sympathetic for? Well, herself, and the books. She had always had a love for books, but she never learned the art of reading nor writing. She wish she could have had that pleasure, but alas, she had been born and raised poorly, and her parents had died when she was so young from a disease. She was all alone now, she knew, and well...She would never learn how to read nor write.

Walking over to one of the shelves, Louise grasped a random book's spine and gently pulled it free, laying it down with as much gentleness as she took a seat in a vacant chair. She opened it with tender, loving fingers, and she gazed at the illustration on the first page, her eyes widening slightly in awe. It was so beautiful...She just could not believe how many people took this wonderful ability for granted. She surely would not.

Turning the page, she was greeted with a small, foreign handwriting, and she narrowed her eyes, hoping she could at least notice one word. However, she failed, so she could only sigh and gently turn the pages a couple more times.

She soon gave up and closed the book, and when she did so, she pushed it away slightly and ran a hand through her hair, knocking the hood of her cloak back. She put her elbows on the table and rested her face in the palms of her hands, taking this opportunity to just think to herself. Her cloak obscured her raggedy clothes, along with her harp and flute, keeping her "occupation" a secret, almost. It was pretty obvious, however, that she was poor.

Zenith Meria - June 3, 2007 02:25 PM (GMT)
“Now I hope they have it in this time, I have been waiting so long to read it!” came the voice of a young man draped in a large, basic white cloak as he searched one of the large cases of books in the Parmamar Library for a book that had been taken out by someone a few weeks ago. The name of the book he was searching for was ‘Chocobos: How to raise a Chocobo’ of course the reason the cloaked figure was looking for said book was because he had acquired a Chocobo egg not that long ago and needed to some research on how to raise the chick once it had hatched.

Today was looking like the young mans lucky day as the book he was in search of was on the shelf, quickly taking it from the bookshelf the cloaked being softly said, “Yes! Finally, now I can start this research, just hope I am done before the egg hatches.” With that said the figure walked over to a large chair and removed his cloak, by removing the cloak a large pair of brown and red wings were shown to everyone else in Library. Tucking his wings into his back slightly the angel softly sat down on the chair and opened the book, instantly he began to read.

First, like any egg you must make sure the Chocobo Egg is kept warm so that it shall hatch safely. Now usually the mother would do this, but these days many people seem to be purchasing the Chocobo Eggs instead of watching for the Eggs to hatch. There are many man made methods to keep the egg warm, the trick is just to keep warm the right heat and not have it to warm or indeed to cold for the chick to survive.

Some examples of having the egg to warm or cold can be seen in past Chocobo Breeders, one Breeder by the name of Zander Featherheart stupidly kept him Chocobo Eggs warm by using the spell Ring of Fire. Of course this method failed dramatically as it ended in the Breeder cooking the Eggs instead of raising them, sure Zander had failed as a Chocobo Breeder but to this day the man still owns varies different Restaurants throughout Arda, his specialty being Chocobo Egg Omelettes.

The second example of how not to raise a Chocobo Egg is shown in Sanders brother, Zane Featherheart. Zane lived most of his adult life in the Khelek Tundra and in turn was use to the bitter cold, now just by letting you readers know that little bit of information I think it is clear what Zane did right? Yes Zane ended up freezing the eggs and then started working for his brother Zander at supplying the Chocobo Eggs for him to cook.

Once reading this the angel let out a small sigh before he said, “This really is not getting me anywhere…” Right after saying this he lifted his head from the book and saw a young looking woman reading a book. Now usually the ethereal one would have just returned to his reading but the woman seemed to place the book back down on the table and close it, after which she pushed the book away from her. Raising an eyebrow the winged being stood up and started to slowly walk over towards the woman. Once getting closer to the woman the angel said, “Hello Miss, my name is Zenith Meria and sorry if this seems a little out of place but can I help you find anything?” Zenith then waited on a reply from the woman.

Louise Pnomelle - June 4, 2007 12:19 AM (GMT)

Louise jumped when she heard someone speak, and so she snapped out of her thoughts, her gray eyes snapping open and fluttering up to see the man standing before her. However, he was no ordinary man, like she was an ordinary woman; no, he had wings on his back. Was he some sort of angel or demon? The thought only made her uncomfortable, resulting in her shifting uncomfortably in her chair.

"'Tis quite a pleasure, I'm sure. My name is Louise Pnomelle," Louise answered, a small smile on her face as she tried to mask her slight fear. "Do I seem troubled, m'lord? If I do, I can only apologize for the inconvience...Nothing ills me, I trust."

When she finished, Louise looked back at the book before her, and she began to ponder to herself. Reaching out, she grasped it gently and stood up from her chair, putting the book back on the shelf in its respective place. She then turned back around to face the man, angel, demon -- whatever. The male.

How long had he been there? Had he been watching her the whole time? Louise had no idea...She had no idea how she could have missed him when she came in, if he had been here before herself. Well, obviously she had missed him either way, and that was why she was so shocked.

"I shall take my leave, now, so I shalst bother thou not," Louise said with a small bow of her head. Her hair fell into her face as she did so, but before she turned to walk away, she took a moment's work of hesitation, pondering if she should leave or not. Surely it was rude, but she did not want to get on this being's bad side. She had enough on her plate; she did not need someone's anger on her shoulders as well.

Zenith Meria - June 5, 2007 06:43 PM (GMT)
Almost instantly after Zenith had spoken to the woman he saw her snapping open and looking in his direction, only then did the angel remember his wings were still out in full view. Many people Zenith had first met were shocked to see his wings, mainly because they had not met a lot of angels in their life. With a soft and almost undetectable sigh parting from his lips Zenith Meria heard the woman say, "Tis quite a pleasure, I'm sure. My name is Louise Pnomelle," Zenith was not sure if something was wrong with the woman, but somehow there was something a little cautious in her voice. She then went on by saying; "Do I seem troubled, m'lord? If I do, I can only apologize for the inconvience...Nothing ills me, I trust." Zenith was not exactly sure what he could say at that moment in time.

Not long after she had finished talking the woman had raised from her chair, book in hands, and walked over to the Bookshelf said book came from and returned it. Once returning her book the woman looked towards Zenith, and he looked back towards her. It seemed like neither knew exactly what to say as the moment of silence fell quickly over the pair of them.

The silence was quickly broken as the woman spoke once more with the words, "I shall take my leave, now, so I shalst bother thou not," mere moments after she had said this Zenith took a small step forward and finally spoke to her with the words, “Miss there is no need for you to take leave due to me. I merely came over to you as you well… if I can be so bold, you seemed to have trouble reading the book you just put back and I was going to offer you some help is all.” The angel then let out another small sigh before continuing on by next saying, “I apologise if I have crossed the line Miss, if you wish to leave then I shall not stop you. As an Archangel under the guidance of the Goddess of Life I do not wish you any harm.” With this said Zenith waited to see what the woman’s reply would be.
