Title: Chaos vs Balance
Description: Sorry, private for Ethari

Morgo Domanu - May 31, 2007 03:33 PM (GMT)
Morgo walked into the massive building, towards the main desk. He approached the lady, who didn't bother to look up. "Hello, can I help you?" She asked him. "Yes I would like a training room please," Morgo asked. The women looked up at the massive orc.

"Ummmm, yes would you like lessons or training supplies?" she stuttered."No, I would just like to spar, with myself," Morgo said polietly. "Sure thing," she added, noticing his polietness "go out to one of the fenced arenas, and then you may begin. Some equipment is in the west wing," she finished. "I want be needing anything, just a dummy." He said. "Oh, then go to the farthest arena."

Morgo walked out the door and went to the furthest east arena, which had a straw dummy posted on a stick. Morgo opened the gate to the fence, and closed it, and put a sign on reading 'TRAINING IN PROCESS'.

Morgo signaled his followers. He didn't want to bring the alligator and lupine in the building, it would attract to much attention, so they went around. The two laid on the ground outside the fence.

Now for the reason Morgo was here, to try out his new abilities from his powers granted by Ita for being one of the Frienzied Acolyte. He was granted three spells, ashen shower, swarm of insects, and blur. First ashen shower. Morgo began incantations, inaudible from the fights going on in the adjacent arenas. A orb of red fire appeared at the end of Morgo's outstrecthed arm. As soon as the incantations ended, the orb launched above the dummy, and seemed to stop right above it. It exploded in a launch of fire and debris. It circled and landed in a circle of ten foot diameter. Several chunks of debris struck the training dummy, which caught fire. Morgo grabbed a bucket of water and doused the flame.

Next, swarm of insects. Morgo outstretched his arm, and began focusing his energy. Tiny green and earth brown dots began to materialize. As soon as a countless number of them appeared, they all formed a various assortment of beetles, flys, and other vermin. He swung his arm forward, and the cloud struck the dummy. Sucess. Morgo then sent the swarm to the nearest arena. He chuckled as those trainees began swatting at the vermin bitting and stinging them.

Finally, blur. He channeled his energy, and blue runes appeared in the empty space before him. The runes then shone violently. He then noticed the world slowing down before him. He unseathed Denger's Talon, and rushed up and sliced the dummy in half. He sat down, tired from his training. He sat down, exhausted. Even with his endurance, he had used the limits of his powers. "What a day," he murmered.

Ethari Xilophent - May 31, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
Ethari walked across the plains, happily humming a merry tune, excited about the new day ahead of him. He walked over a hill and caught site of a large building, with several wings. He decided to go check the building out. In about a half hour he reached the massive building and entered. In front of him was a desk with a lady absorbed in paper work. Ethari cleared his throat loudly, and the lady looked up, exhausted.

"Can I help you sir?" the lady said with a sigh. Ethari replied "I would like a training room please, two people or more, and familiars allowed." The lady pointed to a door outside and said "go ahead outside and pick any training arena you would like, and ignore the signs and pick one you see any famliar in. If you need any equipment, look in the west wing, and you can recieve training in the north wing."

Ethari muttered a thanks and began to head for the door. He hoped he could find some one of equal skill, not to weak or to strong. He noticed a explosion in the sky, and began to head towards that ring, hoping that the person would be skillfull, and a good training partner. Ethari turned around a wall and saw Morgo, a orc who had nearly killed his follower.

Ethari motioned with his hand, and Tarkin, his Balance priest, and Cataraza, his dove, who were slightly behind him, walked around the arena. Rahu, his newt, remained on his shoulder, quivering. If Ethari gave a command word, they would spring to help him in a fight against the orc. But Morgo wasn't done. Next he created a swarm of insects and then attacked the dummy with amazing speed. The orc had surely improved his skills.

Ethari entered the arena and approached Morgo, hand out stretched. "What are you doing here, Morgo," he said with a scowl.

Morgo Domanu - May 31, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
Morgo had trying to think of what to do next, but couldn't quite decide what. But his oppurtunity was approaching. "What are you doing here, Morgo," Ethari said with a scowl. Morgo took his hand, and shook, and immeadiatly dropped it. "Why the polite hand shake, with the rude comment to follow?" Morgo asked.

"Ethari, Ethari Xilophent if I remember correctly. Yes, that was it. And your fellow follower of Therenody. Tarkin, I believe. And I do not bielieve I met the newt, but you did have the dove. But it's name I do not know. Most warriors would bieleve that naming an animal companion would be silly, but most warriors do not feel the connection, the love between your companion, do they." He said.

"Sorry, I am getting off the topic. But you must admit, the connection between man and beast can surely be strong. And yes, I do love, as unbelievable that sounds." Morgo then gestured to Aha, standing on the outside of the fence, growling at Tarkin approaching, "This is one of my new companions, Aha, the elven word for rage. I have been granted special abilities by Ita, and the previous spells, if you saw, were also granted for becoming a Frienzied Acolyte. And I do beileve you met Xoac." He said, remembering the previous battle.

"As for why I am here, that is different than normal. I want to train, without bloodshed. My new abilities haven't been tested yet, and I am, I mean I was uncertain of their outcome in the battle field. But now, I am ready to spread more Chaos with these talents. But I do not wish to fight you, let us have a peaceful debate or conversation. Chaos or Balance, Therenody or Ita? You may make your first point."

Ethari Xilophent - June 2, 2007 03:28 AM (GMT)
Ethari wiped his hand ferociously on his pant leg, disgusted. He hadn't meant it to shake, but to defend himself with a spell. That chaotic orc had touched him and tainted him. Ethari listened on as the orc continued.

Ethari searched his mind for an answer. The orc had come up with a debate so fast, and was ready for him to reply, and show how Balance was better than Chaos. Ethari had come with an answer, ready to make his case. "First off, I would like to congratulate you on achieving your goal of Frenzied Acoloyte, it is truly a accomplishment. Working for a power greater than yourself is truly rewarding. But I do believe you have turned down the wrong road, for there is a much better option, and it is much more successful."

Ethari took a deep breath and continued, not waiting to see what the orc had to say. "Why is it that the life of Chaos is so appealing to you. You seem to like the fact that there is bloodshed, for you kill to accomplish a goal, to protect yourself, from yourself, to put in perspective. Every path you turn, whether Good, Evil or Balance, you have to kill to accomplish a goal, and you kill in the name of that path. Most who follow Good and Balance don't necessarily enjoy killing, but know its necessary to protect the deities they follow, and kill ing the name of what they want to follow. Ethari breathed and looked at Morgo expectantly. "You may now present your case."

Morgo began to think of his answer, and soon came up with one. He did his best to try and come off as politely rude, if possible. "You merely made a statement about balance, with no room for an argument. I will show you how a civilized man goes about his debates. I merely believe in Chaos, because of it's free will. It doesn't necessarily mean that you enjoy killing, havoc, and destruction, but you can follow your own doing, with nothing binding you to this earth! There is no rules to stop you to become what you want to be, or doing what you love. Evil chaos is merely a stereotype, because many chaotic people do what they like, killing, havoc and destruction. I can do what I love, my passion, without any laws, rules or codes to worry about. Chaotic is merely a free spirit. Balance is filled with order, control and discipline! You, being a strict follower of the dull and pedestrian goddess Therenody, have no freedom. If you do, humor me with any example."

Ethari listened patiently to Morgo, surprised of his intellect. Ethari would outwit him though, to prove his case, and show him how maniac his life is. "You truly contradict yourself Morgo. You want a civilized debate, yet you believe in chaos. Sorry, but that's beside the point, it merely struck me as humorous, as you so strongly uphold chaos. As for me, I don't necessarily believe in laws, but rather a way of living. I believe in living in harmony in yourself, without strict rules, and fanatic paladins, or crazy orcs bent on destruction. I would rather live in a life of Balance, in which we can all live with inner harmony, and a life of peace and prosperity."

As Ethari finished, he motioned with his hand and Tarkin and Cataraza hopped over the gate and walked to Ethari's side. Ethari waited for Morgo to make a response.

It looked like a fight was blooming. Morgo couldn't handle a fight, he just used up his powers in a test of his abilities. He would have to stall, then flee. "Inner harmony? Is that what your goddess calls it? Well, not being able to enjoy yourself, that is not inner harmony. Ethari, let me ask you, have you ever killed a person?"He said, changing the subject. Morgo grinned, and licked his lips.

"I'm not talking about a provoked attack, no, but a innocent killing. The screams of pain, the blood drizzling throughout. But what is even funner is to have the family as onlookers. Their screams for mercy, their whimpers and tears mingling with blood. I would very much like to have that experience soon."
Morgo continued to persecute Ethari, "But I am sure you have killed a thug, haven't you? You must of found pleasure in that, but you, you,"he stuttered, trying to find the right words, "you good people tell youself that it is doing the right thing, that you enjoy being a good person by doing the right thing. But in truth, any death is inexcusable, in the eyes of a truly pure person. Ethari, you and I aren't different, both tainted, cursed souls, truly doomed to an eternity of torture in the underworld," he finished, and began to walk over the fence, towards the nearby town.

"I am sorry to leave Ethari Xilophent, but we shall meet here again tomorrow, shall we not?" he asked. "I would very much wish to test these powers on you. Here tomorrow, at noon. Thank you for your time, Ethari," he finished, and made his way off.

Ethari glared as the orc left the arena. He dared to mock the way of Balance, and the way of Good. He acted as if he was sane, as if he had a right to even stand up for what he upheld. It would end tomorrow. If Morgo wanted a fight, Ethari would seize the chance to rid the world of him. Morgo wasn't the only one with new powers, Ethari had increased skill in the ways of Balance, and was ready to use them as well.

Ethari left the arena and approached the front desk. "I would like a room please," Ethari muttered under his breath. The lady looked up from her work and sighed, "If its rooms your looking for, then it would be in the East wing. Choose any room you chose, as long as there isn't any occupied sign on it." Ethari muttered a thanks and headed for the wing. He choose a room that wasn't occupied, room 26. Ethari opened the door and slumped on the bed mat and drifted into a uneasy sleep.

Ethari awoke the next day and ate a quick meal and then suited up. After he ate and dawned his weapons, he reentered the ring, his diamond blade drawn, dove, newt, and follower at his side.

Morgo Domanu - June 12, 2007 10:27 PM (GMT)
Morgo went to a nearby inn, and went to the barmaid wiping glasses. "I would like a room, please," Morgo said politely. The barmaid glanced nervously, and then replied, "Sure, last room on the left," she finished, tossing keys from a nearby rack. Morgo left silver on the table, and walked up a flight of stairs, leading to a corridor, with doors on either side, lined up.

Morgo walked to said room, and inserted the key, and slept. Xoac and Aha slipped in through the night. Morgo awoke refreshed, and went out. He thanked the barmaid on his way out, who waved at him uneasily. He went to the same lady at the desk.

"Yes can I help you?"
she asked. "Yes I would like to spar with someone, I think they already have an arena," he told her. "Well, just head on out and find him," she said glancing up, fake smile on her face.'It's amazing how much prejudice an orc can encounter,' he thought to himself.

He walked to the ring to the far left, and Ethari and his followers were there. He walked and faced opposite of him. Aha and Xoac were at his side, and the lupine snarled at the foes. "Ah, you showed up! I was afraid that you were afraid from last fight!" he exclaimed, grinning at Ethari. He drew his Denger's Talon, and bared his teeth at Ethari.

"NOW PREPARE TO DIE!" he roared, and charged. Xoac and Aha bellowed as well, and came behind. Before reaching Ethari, he launched several bolts of lighting at him, one to the left, one to the right, and one above and below, and one dead center. Morgo was sure that one would hit. He then slashed to the right at Ethari. The battle had begun. Balance vs. Chaos.

Ethari Xilophent - June 12, 2007 10:50 PM (GMT)
Ethari watched as Morgo entered, and glared. This was it, the battle that would end it all, and end Morgo's reign of terror. Ethari opened his mouth, as if to speak. It was to late. Morgo already shouted "NOW PREPARE TO DIE!" and was lunging at Ethari. He launched several lightning bolts at Ethari, one in each direction, and was attacking with mace as well. His familiars were close behind, showing similar rage and ferocity.

Ethari had foreseen this attack early on, thanks to his intellect given by Therenody. He noticed a muscle contraction on the orcs hand and leg. He was preparing to charge, and fling his mace forward for his lightning bolt attack. He also noticed his familiars getting ready to move. They were both preparing to charge as well. He now had a chance to counter the attack, before a normal person could. He flew before the attacks had time to even come close to him, so he was much higher than the highest of the bolts. Ethari stayed in the air and shouted "STOP! I wish to set some rules before this match starts!" Ethari willed for Tarkin to leave the arena, with Cataraza and Rahu on his shoulders.

Tarkin appeared to get his message. He jumped over the wooden fence that surrounded the dirt arena, fists upheld as if to attack any that came near. Cataraza then walked up onto Tarkin's hand. Tarkin raised his hand and Cataraza flew high in the sky, at least twenty five feet in the air, to avoid any damage. Rahu crawled down Tarkin's body, and then into a near by brook. He then crawled under a rock, hidden from the normal eye. From these safe positions, Ethari's familiars will be safe and able to provide energy to him.

Morgo Domanu - June 12, 2007 11:06 PM (GMT)
Morgo was stunned at this new ability of Ethari. Before any of his attacks could get close, the angel flew up in the air, and then sent his familiars to safety. Probably to get energy from them. Unlike Ethari, Morgo had his familiars in combat, their energy was their own, for their uses. They were stronger than a newt, or a simple dove. If Morgo reserved the energy as his own, he would be MUCH more powerful, but with more allies, Morgo's foes would surely fall swiftly.

"STOP! I wish to set some rules before this match starts!" the angel yelled from above. Morgo glanced up at Ethari. He chuckled under his breath. Ethari was strong, and Morgo was as well, but Ethari was blessed by his goddess more than him. Morgo was striving to become the chosen of his goddess, but knew that his chances were slim. He was an individual, and could reign supreme chaos on his own. Chaos and misery walk hand in hand, they enjoy company, but rarely are blessed with it.

Morgo's chuckle turned into a full laughter. "You idiot! Why, your hilarious! Your stupidity has out surpassed much more than I would have expected. Rules? RULES? A devout follower of chaos follow a set of rules? Absolutely not!" While Morgo said this, he put his arm behind his back and focusing his mana. The foolish angel would not be able to sense something as incorporeal as mana.

A ball of fire materialized behind his back. "NOW FIRE WILL RAIN UPON YOU!" he roared, and launched the chunk of flaming rock. Normally, the spell would stop in the air and explode in debris and fire, but luckily for Morgo, his foe was in the sky. The plummeting orb of rock and fire would hit the angel, and cause massive damage to the landscape, and more importantly, the angel. If Morgo was espessicaly lucky, Tarkin would be affected as well.

Ethari Xilophent - June 12, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
"You idiot! Why, your hilarious! Your stupidity has out surpassed much more than I would have expected. Rules? RULES? A devout follower of chaos follow a set of rules? Absolutely not!" Ethari cursed sielently under his breath. He hoped that he would accept his offer and set up some rules. Ethari wanted no companions in the fight, and each allowed a heal spell, cast by his companion, Tarkin. Obviously he didn't want a fair fight. After he finished his statement, Ethari noticed him put his hand behind his back. Ethari saw this early on, but had no idea what it was for. "NOW FIRE WILL RAIN UPON YOU!" Next thing he knew, a orb of rock and fire was headed for Ethari.

Outcomes of the fire orb quickly raced through Ethari's head. It was most likely going to explode once it reached a peak in the sky. He judged its wieght and was able to tell it wasn't that heavy or hard, and a impact would have not to great damage done by it. Ethari decided not to dodge it, knowing that if it did explode, it could be devistating. If all that debris fell to the earth, it could affect Tarkin and Rahu, waiting in the small, shallow brook. And if the debris fell, it would make him not airborne, losing him the advantage of height.

Ethari stood still in his place, accepting as the orb slammed into his stomach. A burning sensation overwhelmed him as the flaming orb hit him. Ethari flew back, winded. He then used his hands to push the orb behind him, and it slammed into the ground ten feet away. He then rocketed towards Morgo, hand outstrected. He muttered Arcane words and his hand began to glow emmensly. Ethari plummeted towards Morgo, ready to end the battle that Morgo had started.

Morgo Domanu - June 13, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
Ethari had been clearly displeased with the out come of Morgo's disagreement of the rules. But he had unexpectedly been aware of Morgo's spell. He did let the burning debris hit him, in which he allowed to fly backward.

Morgo didn't notice Ethari swooping down with his Energy Drain spell. It hit Morgo, draining his energy massively. He groaned in pain as he fell to the ground. When he got up, the battle field had changed drastically.

The debris and flames falling from the sky lit fire to the grass and fence. A circle of flames from the enclosed fencing had enclosed the battle field, and several small fires started dancing in the fields. This would surely prove to be an interesting battle field.

Nearby watchers began to scream in terror and running away. The flames and circle of fire caused the nearby novice warriors to run in fear. Morgo chuckled at the panic, and then said to Ethari, "Yes, chaos reigns supreme again! Mass confusion, panic, and chaos is present!"

He launched more bolts at Ethari, in the same pattern of inevitable hits. More than likely, he would sense the attack, and dodge. So, focusing his mana, he outstretched his hand. Tiny earth brown and green dots materialized. Then, as soon as a myriad appeared, the image of insects and vermin to shape. As the last began to form, Morgo launched them at Ethari. Even though the angel of Balance would dodge, the Plauge of Insects would home in on Ethari, causing mass disarray.

Morgo then launched lightning bolts at him. One directly in the center, another above, and another above that, and more, about eight up. This way, the angel's dodge would ultimately cause his own demise. Morgo knew that the only way the he could succeed in an attack was a joint attack, due to the fact that the angel knew of the attacks, but didn't have the ability to dodge.

With the ring of fire, and wonderful attack, Morgo knew that this was going to be a truly epic battle. Each fighter acting as a representative of their goddess, each hoping to gain victory over the other. Morgo knew in his heart that Chaos always reigns supreme.

Ethari Xilophent - June 13, 2007 03:14 AM (GMT)
Ethari smiled, knowing his attack had been successful. He could only use it once per battle, and had hit his target, and healed all damage and more from the fiery orb. He had drained a fourth of the orcs energy, and claimed it for his own, and it was sure to give him an edge to the battle. Ethari flew back, and readied his diamond sword, ready to face Morgo's next move. People began to scream. Ethari quickly glanced around. There was a fire ring surrounding the two of them. Morgo wanted it to be a Chaotic battle, and Ethari would restore Balance.

Morgo then launched the same pattern of lightning bolts towards Ethari. He never did any thing different, always fighting, killing, torturing. Well, he would put an end to it. Ethari flew into the sky again, using the same style as before, since he foresaw it early on through his muscle contractions. He then cast a plague of insects spell, which was homing in on Ethari. He launched several more bolts at him, one straight ahead, and about eight above him. That cut off his route to the sky. Ethari knew that he couldn't avoid this bolt.

Ethari decided to cause as much damage as he could. He flew into the center, and the swarm headed for him. The two lightning bolts cut through the swarm, killing most of the bugs, but still making direct contact with Ethari's skin. He screamed as the two bolts struck him, and what was left of the bug swarm bit at his skin. Ethari took the pain and muttered some words under his breath. Using The Touch of the Mage ability, he cast the Blind and Weakness spell at the same time, blinding Morgo, and weakening him as well. Ethari then lunged with his diamond blade pointed for Morgo's heart.

Morgo Domanu - June 13, 2007 03:03 PM (GMT)
Morgo laughed seeing that his combo attack worked so successfully. He glanced around, feeling proud, and for a change in a while, a victor. But, before he could revel in this victory, he was struck by magic.

He lost vision, and then fell to the ground. He attempted to get up, and was able to with great difficulty. He had lost a lot of his energy, and was now blind. He could hear the wind rushing, and at first thought, it was a nice breeze. But then Morgo realized that it was an attack from the sky.

He quickly dived to the side, hoping that the attack would miss. Unfortunately, Morgo's weakness was so great that part of Ethari's sword had cut his arm. The cut was deep, and blood hissed as it spilt into the fire.

Morgo fell to the ground, near a fire. The orc could tell because of the heat. He had to crawl a little distance away from it. He didn't want to die. He began to crawl very slowly away from Ethari, only to find a impassible fence of fire. Screams could still be heard, and blood was in a line from Morgo's previous location.

Morgo turned on his back and looked at Ethari. "Finish me if you like! But look around you! Chaos still prevails!!" Morgo pointed all around him, as mass confusion and panic spread throughout the city. He laughed, and coughed up blood, and looked back at Ethari's previous direction. "Kill me if you like, Ethari. I will never die! My legacy in Arda is immortal!" Morgo spat more blood out, and blackness over came him.
((OOC: Ethari may want to kill him, but remember, I still want to RP another day ))

Ethari Xilophent - June 16, 2007 02:27 AM (GMT)
Ethari held his blade up to make the finishing move. He had said he was going to finish it, and he was. He had Morgo blinded and weakened, and he was going to end his reign of terror. "Finish me if you like! But look around you! Chaos still prevails!!" Morgo shouted in his weakened state. "Kill me if you like, Ethari. I will never die! My legacy in Arda is immortal!" Ethari smirked. Morgo wasn't going to last long enough to make a legacy in Arda. Ethari was going to finish him before he could harm and kill any more innocent lies.

Ethari began to bring his blade down to strike, aiming for Morgo's neck when a cry rang through the arena, louder than the sounds already from the fire. There was a women fighter, with her hand outstretched as if to reach for some thing. Ethari's gaze followed her hand, and in another ring of fire was a small child. She most have brought him here because there was no one to watch him at home, and now he was trapped in a ring of fire. The fire was raging, so niether could enter or leave without some serious wounds.

Ethari began to think, this ladies life or her babies for that matter was more important than Morgo's death, and Ethari would save them. Ethari flew and sheathed his diamond blade and landed in the ring of fire with the small child. He opened his hands and cast a bless spell, to raise both the mother and child's moral. The little boy leaped in his arms and Ethari flew over the ring and to the mother. The little boy leaped out of his arms and into his mother. Ethari quickly flew away and motioned in the sky for Tarkin, Cataraza and Raha to follow, hoping Morgo would die in the flames.
