Title: Last night
Description: OTA

Shalura - May 31, 2007 02:40 PM (GMT)
Shalura woke up as the sun began to peak through the curtains of her room, she was still living in the same room above the Wilwarin inn, and hadn't bothered to find anywhere else to live, meaning she was still paying to have a roof over her head at night, not that she cared. Lately her spirits had been going down, very quickley, so much so that she preffered not to speak to anybody and if anybody tried she merely shrug them off and carry on with what she was doing, she looked different as well, the colours in her iris had grown so dark that it was impossible to tell where they finished and her pupil began, it looked more like a single black circle surrounded by white, also she hadn't given too much attention to her hair, since it was more tangled than usual.

Her dove, Aravis, looked down at her from the cupboard, which was where she usually roosted. However even her attempts to bring Shalura to her senses were completely unsuccesful.

Shalura ignored Aravis, and picked up her things, hesitating before she grabbed the sword lying by her bed post but putting it on all the same. The sword itself she'd belted into the scabbard so that it was impossible for her to pull it out without undoing the buckle first. She left the room and walked outside, ignoring what was going on around her. While she walked she thought about what had been going on recently, before she'd been just a normal person searching for something she'd lost a long time ago, but now she felt more like leaving everything behind instead.

She walked past a street with a large crowd huddling together near the far end, she stopped and looked up. From here she could just about make out their hushed mutterings, she moved closer to pick up what they were saying. Most of them however weren't saying anything helpeful, more stuff along the lines of 'terribe' or 'how can this happen'. Shalura looked up at the crowd, they didn't seem to want to part and she was in no position to jump over them. She sighed and closed her eyes, a light shone from her back and a pair of blue wings folded out of them, although they were much darker than usual.

Once they were fully grown, Shalura used them to glide into the air, landing softly on a rooftop and folding the wings away again in the same flash of light. She looked down and saw that they were crowded round a body on the ground, covered in blood. Several guardsmen were holding them back while a few others inspected the body.
"A murder," Shalura muttered darkly "not like them to make this much fuss about this."
She looked down at a few of the guards talking close to where she was.

"Must've happened last night," one of them muttered "anybody see who did it?"
"There was one witness," the second guard said, munching on an apple "didn't see them very well though, said they has long dark hair and some sort of flaming sword."
"That's it?" The first guard replied "not much to go on, there's thousands of people like that!"
"Yeah," the second guard admited "but not many people have flaming swords do they?"

Shalura had heard enough, she stood up and walked to the other side of the roof before jumping off and landing cat-like in the street beyond.
"Why do I bother with them?" She asked herself before walking off.

Shadowblack - May 31, 2007 03:29 PM (GMT)
"Yoro has arrived! Lómëdor, get ready to party!" Yoro yelled, entering the city. He leapt into the air and put his hand into the air. "Fly!" he yelled, allowing wings to spread from his back. He flew on ahead to the rooftops, to run across and leap off. He got his clock stuck on the corner of the roof.
"Damn," he stated. He reached up and unhooked it, before falling to the ground, unable to fly, landing face first.

"Ouch," he stated blankly, withdrawing his wings and standing. He straightened the bow fastened to his back and began to walk through the alley, until he came to a person on a different street.

"Strange," he said, walking in the other direction, turning to see a buff man walking through the crowds. The people were falling over, and finally he came and put his hand out, pushing Yoro to the side.

"Hey, what was that for?!" asked Silv. A horse came behind the man.
"Butt out," said the man. "Hey, I've never seen a horse with two rear ends," laughed Silv. The man turned and readied a punch, then Silv leapt over it and flipped backwards.

"A fight, eh?" asked Silv. He drew his bow, and launched a shadow arrow right at the man's stomach, which he just knocked off by letting air in. He man then gave Yoro a good punch and sent him flying in front of the girl he saw before.

Shalura - May 31, 2007 03:44 PM (GMT)
Shalura kept walking where she was, but she stopped after a while. She wasn't going anwhere important so she chose to just lean against the wall.

Meanwhile, Aravis was flying above her in the sky, looking down. It was almost possible to see concern in the dove's eyes as it looked down on her, Shalura might be the same person on the outside, but she was nothing like her old self. Aravis glided down and landed on the roof just above Shalura's head and started cooing down on her, however Shalura ignored her. Aravis dropped her head, almost sighing and flew off.

Shalura looked up and watched Aravis go, she was beginning to find the creatures repeated attempts to get her to talk to her a little annoying. She scowled and looked back down at her own feet, not caring much for anything else. However she was suprised when somebody flew across the street just in front of her, having just been thrown by a large man just down the street.
"What the...?" Shalura stood up straight, looking down at the man "what happened to you?"
She looked up and saw the man who'd attacked him advancing in their direction.
"Oh," she sighed Typical, she thought.

The man reached Shalura and attempted to throw her aside with a casual swip of his arm.
"Outa the way!" He grunted at her.
Shalura however ducker the blow and her eyes narrowed dangerousley, she put her weight forwards and threw herself, shoulder first, at the man, knocking him down with his own weight. Once her was on the ground Shalura reached for the sword at her side, but as soon as she touched it her fingers leapt away as though they'd been stung, she shook her head and muttered something before drawing her staff instead.
"I don't like people who fight for the fun of it," she said darkly.

Shadowblack - May 31, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
Yoro slowly got up. "This guy is insane," said Yoro. "I'll play a game with him!" Yoro grinned before backing up and putting his hand into the air. "Fly!" he yelled, growing wings and flying over to the man.

"Hi, how are you doing? Do you like pie? I hate pie!" he started to fly in circles around the man too high in the air to be reached with a normal grab.

Slowly the man got up. He leapt up and slapped Yoro's foot, then grabbed it.
Yoro got the dagger out and stabbed the man's hand, but despite the blood, he kept holding on, trying to pull him down. "Knock him down with his own weight," thought Yoro. He pressed into the pulling with his foot, then let his wings disappear. He fell to the ground and used his own weight to knock the man's weight down, bringing him with it! He leapt off the man and grinned.
"Had enough?" asked Yoro. The man's horse looked like it was about to charge.

"The horse too? God..."

Shalura - May 31, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
Shalura looked casually down at the man, from her point of view he seemed to be having too much fun for his own good, she didn't find anything fun in having a fight with someone twice the size of you. She looked up at the man's horse, it seemed pretty random for him to have a horse follow him everywhere, particularly if it was a violent horse, which in this case was correct. Shalura however moved forward and stepped right in front of it, glaring hard into its mad eyes with her own.
"Don't push it," she muttered in an undertone to it.

She raised her palm, several orbs of light glowed and spiraled around her fingers and palm before coming together in the middle.
"Lyoh!" Shalura cast her most powerful spell, right in front of the horse's head.
The result sent a wave of powerful holy energy at the horse, hitting it when it had barely left the mark and creating a climatic light show blasting the creature off its feet and sending it sprawling to the ground several feet away. Shalura staggered backwards, panting heavily from using too much of her magic at one time, she'd never truly mastered the holy spell and in her current state it had left a large burn on her palm, causing it to smoke slightly.

She cluthced her wrist with one hand, staring at the limp form of the horse. She looked at the burn left on her palm, it had left a black shape behind that looked faintly like a pair of wings, but currently looked more like a mishapen diamond streaching across her skin. She clentched her fist, not wanting to look at it, and turned her attention back to the man on top of the brute.
"Next time, stay out of my way," she said.
She turned about and walked off, thinking she might give that body another look.

Shadowblack - May 31, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
Seeing all of this power float by, Yoro was stunned. "Cool," he said. He saw her running off, then ran up to her. "Where are you going?" he asked.

He had just met this person and she was already leaving? This made him feel very weak and useless. He was sad. :(

(Sorry for the shortness.)

Shalura - May 31, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
Shalura stopped as she passed by the form of the horse on the ground, it was still alive although she suspected the creature would have to be put down sooner or later, not many dumb animals got up again fully recovered from a blast like that. It looked up at her and made a movement to try and get up, but it looked as though Shalura had broken at least two of its legs, so it just wriggled on the floor like a helpless worm.

She carried on walking, but was stopped as the man called after her and caught up.
"Where I want," she answered before setting off where she was going again "I'm not taken to standing around and talking anymore."
She looked up and saw that the crowd was thinning, much to the gratitude of the guards surrounding the body on the ground. Shalura walked up to it, looking down as though she saw that sort of thing every day.
"What happened to them?" She asked casually.
"Killed last night," the guard said casually "lot of stabs and burns on the body, so it must have been some sort of falme weapon..."

Shalura stopped listening after that and gave a quick glance to the sword she had on her belt; whereas it was true it was a flaming sword, it only ever ignited in the presence of evil, and she hadn't used it for a while, preffering not to touch it unless she had to.
"There is one other thing," the guard said looking up at Shalura "a witness said that the killer looked female and had long...Dark.......Hair..........." He trailed off once he got a good look at Shalura.
"Something wrong?" She asked.
"E-err......" The guard hesitated, unsure of what to do next.

Shadowblack - May 31, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
As she walked away, it made Yoro wonder, "What was that all about?"
Yoro shrugged and walked through the tiny amounts of people. What he came to soon was a circle of people around a body.

"Fly!" yelled Yoro to get a better look. He lifted into the air to see stabs and burns. A fire sword could've done it. Or any weapon not to mention some fire. Hmm... Yoro wanted to have some fun. He put his hood up and got a stick off the ground. He got some rocks that were able to ignite it. He walked through the crowd holding the stick that could have made it look like it was him.

"Mweheheh," he said, with people staring at him.

Shalura - May 31, 2007 07:36 PM (GMT)
Shalura glanced up at the guard, he was a good two feet taller than her, although he seemed a little nervous at first.
"Something wrong?" She asked.
"No I..." The guard stopped and looked around, noticing the man playing a stupid silly prank.
Shalura looked over at him too, but couldn't quiet believe what he was doing.
"He's crazy," she muttered.
"Erm, excuse me," the guard ran after Yoro, calling him to stop.

Shalura sighed and turned away.
"Whoever that guy is he's insane," she muttered.
She began walking away again when she felt a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. She looked round and saw another guard behind her, she sighed and turned around.
"Yes?" She asked.
"I need to ask you a few questions," the guard said seriousley "you know the only witness saw a person with dark hair?"
Shalura nodded. The guard looked down to her belt.
"That sword," he said "what kind of sword is it?"
Shalura looked down at it.

"Not a kind you know," she replied.
"Get it out," the guard ordered.
Shalura hesitated, then reached down to the handle, on contact her fingers leapt off it as though burnt.
"What's wrong?" The guard asked.
"N-nothing," Shalura replied, staring at her fingers.
She unclipped the sword and passed it to the guard, he undid the strap holding it in and pulled it out of the scabbard, Shalura winced as it came into full view, catching the light.

"Hm, does it have any magical properties?" He asked giving her a serious look.
"Not that I know of," Shalura replied "I don't use it much."
"I see," the guard stuck the blade back in the scabbard and handed it to Shalura.
She took it, wincing as her fingers closed around it and quickley clipped it to her belt. She looked up at the guard, noticing that he was staring at her closely.

Shadowblack - May 31, 2007 07:55 PM (GMT)
"Oi, kid! Get away from there!" yelled a guard. Yoro grinned. "Tomorrow you will be the one killed!" Yoro laughed and threw the stick in the air, then shot it with a shadow arrow and made the fire burst into fireworks.

He flew past Shalura and the guard, holding his bow like a maniac, turning around to see the guard still running after him.

"Kid, enough with this prank!!"
"Who's pranking? Are you sure this is a fake?!" He drew out his dagger and waved it about wildly.
"See? See? Look at it!"

"Look kid, we already have a suspect, and we're positive she's guilty!"
"I'm no girl, thank you very much!" He pulled his hood down.
"Kid, just stop the senseless prank!"
"Fine!" said Yoro, dropping to the ground and pulling his wings back in.
He walked back to the crowd, when suddenly people were tackling him.
"He's the one!" yelled a woman, piling on the top of them. "He must be! Demon! He's a murderer!" yelled a man. People cried out, shouting out random phrases and stuff such as this, for a while. "Gyahh! Get off of me!" He grew his wings out shouting, "Fly!" He used his wings to push people off, then punched them off and flew back towards the other guards, before hitting a wall while looking back. "Ow."

Shalura - May 31, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
(OMG! Quod posting  )

Shalura looked over at the commotion Yoro was causing, he seemed to be causing much more trouble than was good for him.
"I swear that guy's drunk," she muttered.
"Yeah well," the guard hesitated "what here!" He ordered and rushed off to sort out the commotion Yoro was causing.
Shalura raised one of her eyebrows in an inquizitive manner, she'd almost completely forgotten she was being framed for murder right now. She sighed again and ran a hand through her hair, this was turning out to be some day for her.

The guard returned, looking slightly flustered.
"Is he with you?" He asked, seriousley.
Shalura looked back over at Yoro, hardly daring to consider the thought.
"He's just following me about," she replied "don't ask."
"Wha..Err?"
Shalura gave him a serious glance and the guard stopped babbling.
"Is there anything else you want?" She asked "I'd rather not stick around."
"We'd rather you didn't go anywhere," the guard said "the witness said the killer had long dark hair, so do you, meaning we can't rule you out of this."

"I see," Shalura muttered "but I can rule you out."
"Huh?"
Shalura raised her hand and the palm glowed orange.
"Ekirts Emalf!"
"What the..!?"
A pillar of flame suddenly shot down from above them, striking the guard and burning him, the flames died and the guard staggered backwards, heavily singed.
"Now, stay out of my way," Shalura warned, lowering her hand.
She turned to walk away but stumbled over, landing on her knees, one arm flew to her shoulder, she'd used a great deal of magic in a short space of time and her current state had been slowly draining her mana without her noticing, causing her to go limp after using powerful spells.
"What....T-the..?" She gasped, having not known of this before hand.
