Ethari Xilophent - May 28, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
Ethari walked into the town, his eyes wandering through his surroundings. It had been many years since he had been here. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't been here since he was a child. The town had changed since he had last been there. The town had grown, and there were much more stores and stalls. The primary race was still angel though.

Ethari could spot the Archangels and the normal angels, but they all walked with there wings open at there fullest. Everyone here was proud to be a angel. Those who didn't have wings, walked around quickly, afraid of being shunned from the society.

Ethari walked to the statue in the center of the city, it stood majestically, a symbol of the beauty of a angel. It was one of the Imperial ArchAngels that was from Aman. It was a true follower of the goddess of light. Ethari was different from most angels. Instead of following the goddess of light, he followed the goddess of Balance, and trained in the ways of a Harbringer of Balance.

Ethari knelt by the statue, and looked up at, thinking about his family, and who was still alive. He thought that his whole family was dead, but found that his sister was alive and a half demon. That meant she had a different father than he, and this father could still be alive. Ethari shivered at the thought, of having a sister being the spawn of a demon. He still loved her though, even if she didn't know it.

Ethari saw a small twitch in the lady next to him, who was also kneeling at the statue. He had the ability granted by being a Harbringer of Balance to detect these things, and to figure what they meant. It was a twitch of nervousness. The lady stood and walked stiffly away, and Ethari stood and followed.

Zakarias - May 28, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
Disappointed at his inability to find a comrade in these wondrous halls Zak pushed out the large door of the Grand Cathedral and trampled back towards the heart of the city. A slight air of arrogance fluttered over him as he passed a normal person who it seemed came for the purpose of some sort of divine intervention. Realizing he had displayed this arrogant behavior he instantaneously drew back his previous thought and with a clear mind remembered an incident form his past. He was not so unlike this person that long ago...

Ages had passed since Zak was a young lad running wings spread with his brother in a green field, no it wasn't but a few centuries ago that he was learning his first aerobatic lessons from his father. No was it. Zak couldn't remember clearly maybe it was forever ago but his mind refused to allow him to relive his brothers kidnapping and falling encounter. As hard as he pried he could not recollect the events of his child =hood and as such how could he know how long ago, ago really was?

This complex and extended train of thought lead Zak straight into the heart of the city near the Imperial Archangel statue one form Aman. Looking up with a blank stare Zak peered at the statue only to be shocked slightly by how far he had gone. Gathering his wits Zak was about to continue his way out of the city when a slight gleaming piece of metal caught this eye. Upon further inspection Zak realized it was in fact a diamond blade one of expensive forgery. But more impressive was the winged angel with the blade. As he creature began to walk away, Zak followed curiously.

((Sorry its short had little time))

Ethari Xilophent - May 29, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
Ethari continued to follow the twitchy lady, curious why she was so nervous. She was constantly twitching at the slightest movements, but still oblivious to simple things by her. She was startled by a barking dog, even though she had caused it to bark, by walked noisily next to him. Ethari kept up with her, and she was oblivious that he was there. This would give him a chance to see what she was like.

She had a white blouse on, and a long white dress. A lot of the people in this city wore white, blue, or gray. Dark colors were rarely seen. She had long brown hair, and gray wings. Ethari stumbled on a rock. He quickly hid behind a building, and the girl turned around. She shook her head and continued. Ethari continued to follow her, dazed. She had stunning, almost unnatural gold eyes. He knew angels had strange eye colors, like bright shades of blue and silver, or some dull greys, but he had never seen such brilliant eyes before.

Ethari continued to follow the girl, when she reached a small house, crafted of white bleached bricks. Ethari put his back to the side of the house, and decided to listen what she was going to do. She reached in her shirt and pulled out a long gold string. She slid it under the door, and a few seconds later, a long silver string slid out. It must be code.

The door opened and Ethari heard some words being spoken. "I'm sorry sir, but some important matters have come up, there is trouble, and the leather winged angel is in trouble." Ethari peered his head around and caught glimpse of a male angel, clothed in a red shirt with matching red pants.

"You have awoken me, and you need more practice, angels don't have gold eyes, lowly slave," the man said. "I'm sorry, but I told you, the leather winged angel is in trouble, and could die," the lady replied. "Come in, we should speak in private," the man said. He held his door open, and the both disappeared into the house.

Zakarias - May 29, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Zak had followed this creature through many street until he saw him stop, wading in the shadows Zak noticed that this angel had made his efforts not to create some mystery quest of his own but that of following some woman. Zak could not identify either and was beginning to get anxious as thoughts of misery ran through his head.

What if this angel tries to kill her? What if he is stronger than me is there anyway I could defend her? His he allied with lightness or darkness? What am I to do?

Zak shrugged off these horrid thoughts and continued to creep closer to the man-angel. His wings tucked behind if one did not notice his vibrant muscular structure or his vibrant eyes it was nearly impossible to tell he was an angel from the front. Forward he went t until he heard voices.

QUOTE

"I'm sorry sir, but some important matters have come up, there is trouble, and the leather winged angel is in trouble," said the lady that he was apparently following.

"You have awoken me, and you need more practice, angels don't have gold eyes, lowly slave," a man replied.

"I'm sorry, but I told you, the leather winged angel is in trouble, and could die," the lady the angel had followed replied.

"Come in, we should speak in private," the man said.

Suddenly the voices stopped and Zak peered around the corner he had strategically hidden himself behind. Now was his change he took a deep breath and just as the voice echo drained away and the man and woman he was indirectly following had disappeared, he walked nonchalantly from out of the corner and in a proud manner introduced himself to the Angel he had followed.

" I am Da Zakarias Domin, and I am looking for a companion to aid me on my journey." --Zak

Shelendri - May 30, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
(OOC: Zakarias said I could join in)

Shelendri stood considering the statue that stood in the centre of the city of the angels, considering it. She wondered who the angel had been. Certainly someone well known by the founders of the city. There wasn't a plaque to tell her who this was, so she had to content herself with guessing. She'd come to the city out of curiousity, of course, and had spent the last two days exploring. It was certainly an interesting city. She found it interesting, also, that no-one wore dark clothing here. She was lucky, as none of her clothes except her cloak were dark, and her tunic was warm enough for her to go without the cloak.
Her stomach grumbled slightly, telling her that breakfast was wearing off. Turning away from the statue to decide which direction to head in to look for a food stall, she noticed a few angels following each other. The angel who seemed to be doing the leading was a female who looked very tense and jittery. She started at things you wouldn't expect, like a dog barking at her. The next in line was a male angel who seemed intent on her, and intent on her not seeing him. The final one was another male, who didn't look to have the intensity of the other. Like he was just following out of curiousity. She knew all about doing that, as she did it often. She shrugged slightly to herself. Might as well do so now, as her curiousity had been roused.
Follow far enough behind that it didn't exactly look like she was following them, she kept the trio in sight. The woman angel came to a house, and after doing something at the door and speaking with a man from within the house, she disappeared inside. The second male angel wondered over to the first at that point. Were they conferring? Deciding what to do now that the woman was inside? Shelendri moved closer. Now to find a vantage point so that she could hear what the two men said, without them seeing her. People didn't like being eavesdropped on, for some reason.

Ethari Xilophent - May 31, 2007 03:46 AM (GMT)
(Cool, I love RPing with a lot o' people  , and sorry if it seems that I mention my Harbringer of Balance class a lot, but I don't want it to sound like I'm power playing, so I'll just write it in  and sorry if it sounds choppy, I wrote the base and wrote lines on later, and it sounds choppy )

Ethari stood in shock. What were those people talking about? The female angel had spoke of a leather winged angel. That led Ethari to believe that it was a demon or a devil. The male angel had called the female a lowly slave, and told him that a angel didn't look like that. That led Ethari to suspect that demons were definitely involved. The city could be in danger, or may be he was just insane?

" I am Da Zakarias Domin, and I am looking for a companion to aid me on my journey." Ethari jumped, and turned around to face another angel. Ethari cleared his throat, embarrassed and said "Um, sir, have you been following me, because I hope you have, for I believe that there is a threat, a demon threat in the city. As for your question, I do think that now would be a excellent quest, to see if we make a good team." Using the intelligence granted by Therenody, he noticed the mans muscles were relaxing at a much faster rate than some one who just noticed him, so he was pretty sure that he was following him.

Ethari finished his sentence, standing at his full height, but still dwarfed to the angel, practically a foot shorter. He was hoping that he would accept, for the little instances he had found a friend, and a ally, they died. He lost his only friend a year ago, and almost lost his Balance priest follower to a orc, Morgo. Ethari whistled, now that he thought about it. His whistle was high pitched enough to catch the ear of his dove and newt, and they would be able to direct his Balance priest and familiars over here.

"Just wait a moment, I have some friends on the way," Ethari said. He then stuck out his hand, as if the other angel were to shake it and said "I'm Ethari Xilophent, Harbringer of Balance"

Zakarias - May 31, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Zak listened camly to who he now knew as Ethari, he heard the suggestion to go on this demon hun tso to speak. With a few thougths rumbling through his head he made the profound decision to reply.

" I will aid you on this quest and if there is a demonic threat we shall crush it."

" A few things you may want to know when I was in the Cathedral I heard a few rumors of my own of a great plague of fear and dread a dark elf leading hordes of demonic entites this way, I origanally blew it off but something these rumors had in common struck a cord. I will be honest with you my brother whom was also an Angel had fallen from grace and it is my beilef that he is this drow leading these eledged armies. I know this only by the stories I have heard but the manner in which he kills never changed the severing of heads from horseback."

"If in the course of battle we should need to end him Vergio will fall at my hands is that clear sir?"

Zak studied the Angel's physicque(sorry) and was surprised to find how short he was in contrast to himself but this was no problem it was easy to tell by his attire that he was in fact quite powerful and as a Harbinger of Blance he would bring great things to this journey maybe Zak finally found a friend.

Suddenly light sprang into Zak's soul and this old sign was somehting he knew well someone was watching. Gently grabbing Ethari's arm Zak attempted to lead them to safer quarters.

Shelendri - June 1, 2007 04:36 AM (GMT)
Shelendri frowned as she listened to the two angels. Demons, here? Wasn't that impossible? And an army led by a drow. Could that be the same army she, Rand and the others came across, the one intent on destroying the Rocaen? That one had been led, or at least comissioned by a lordling, so maybe not. But for there to be two large armies within Arda not involved with the war was a bit worrying. Didn't people have anything better to do?
She shifted slightly, trying her best not to touch the precariously stacked crates around her. She'd found the pile of crates to hide behind, out of view but within ear shot. Now she was wishing that they were better stacked. One good sneeze would probably cause them all to topple, most likely on her.
She frowned around her at the crates. Eavesdropping was all well and good, but if there was a demon trying to take over this city, she wanted to help stop him. And it would be better just to show herself to the two men, rather than have them find her and take offence at her listening in on their conversation. Sighing softly to herself, she stood up, brushed herself off, and walked over to them. She showed no remoarse at having just come out of hiding and eavesdropping on them, because she wasn't. And if they didn't want their conversation to be heard, they shouldn't have held it on a public street.
She stopped beside them and met their gazes. She had the unusually experience of have to crane her neck to do so. She was a tall woman, so was used to having to only lift her chin slightly. She wondered why so many men in Arda were so tall. "Hello. I was listening to your conversation. Do you really think that there is a demon threat to this city? If so, then I'll help you. My name's Shelendri Finlay. I'm a druid, and a shape shifter. Just so you know." She smiled up at them

Ethari Xilophent - June 4, 2007 02:58 AM (GMT)
(I'm going to use colors each time one of you talks, just to make it easier for you guys and me to understand ^_^ Zak will be BLUE and Shelendri will be GREEN. Don't you just love color coating  And I'm going to Las Vegas so it might be a week or so untill I reply :bye: )

Ethari listened as the other angel continued to tell him about the demon threat in the city. If there was demons in the city, than surely some one else would have to know about it. A demon army couldn't form up in a city without being noticed. Unless, it wasn't a demon army, but rather a small troupe of demons. How could Ethari be so naive, thinking of a demon army. It was most likely a small group of about ten to twenty demons, assembling for a reason there own. They could be scouting for a demon army or they could be trying to steal a valuable artifact from the city. Either way, the pair of angels would have to stop the threat from spreading.

Zakarias gently grabbed Ethari's arm suddenly, trying to pull him away. Knowing that he probably was trying to avoid danger, Ethari complied, following him to a more closed area. Then a lady came up, stating her name. Ethari could tell by the way she walked that she just had stood up and was just now approaching them, so she must have been eavesdropping. "Hello. I was listening to your conversation. Do you really think that there is a demon threat to this city? If so, then I'll help you. My name's Shelendri Finlay. I'm a druid, and a shape shifter. Just so you know."

Ethari nodded lightly, grateful for her eavesdropping. They would need all the help they could get. "Great," Ethari said ,"We should proceed inside the house soon, and confront the two of the demons. Be prepared for battle, for demons don't take to angels well" Ethari closed his eyes, grimly, worried about the confrontation of the demons.

Zakarias - June 4, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
((Red for Ehtari!!))

Zakarias began to pull Ethari away when he heard a soft pater and then a proud stomp someone was approaching. Out of the shadows came a woman she spoke with authority.

"Hello. I was listening to your conversation. Do you really think that there is a demon threat to this city? If so, then I'll help you. My name's Shelendri Finlay. I'm a druid, and a shape shifter. Just so you know."

He turned and spoke to the woman but before he could utter a syllable Ehtari spoke.

"Great," Ethari said ,"We should proceed inside the house soon, and confront the two of the demons. Be prepared for battle, for demons don't take to angels well"

Having said what he thought Zak closed his lips and turned to the door the pair had gone through. Zak remeberd a feeling he had earlier before this new woman introduced herself. There was a sense of mystery in the air a sense of wonder, he suddenly knew there was no demonic army in the numbers but if he was right about Verigo leading them he was sure this would be the fight of thier lives for Verigo knew nothing but war, and yet niehter did Zakarias. blade clanking at his side he reached for the door and...

((Ethari you made the character up so I will let you start the way things go for now though Shel don't post anyhting about us going in let him do that then we can follow me in. E you have permission to Godmod my character inside first.))

Shelendri - June 5, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
(Okay. We'll do this your way. And Ethari, you have my permission to do a bit of Godmoding with my charry as well.)

"Great, we should proceed inside the house soon, and confront the two of the demons. Be prepared for battle, for demons don't take to angels well."

Shelendri was pleased that the Ethari hadn't taken offence at her eavesdropping. Zakarias looked like he wanted to say something to her, but kept his peace. She wondered at that. Why not just say whatever was on his mind? Or did he think that there was no need now that the other angel had accepted her help in this. She mentally shrugged to herself. It wasn't her problem.
Seeing Zakarias moving toward the house's door, she shifted out of his way and drew her sword. She could have shape shifted, but figured that in this situation using magic and her sword would be the better way. Anyway, there was no telling how big the rooms inside the house were. Shape shifting into a big animal might just leave her open to attack.
She flexed her sword arm to loosen the muscles and nodded to Ethari. "You can go before me, if you like. I don't mind bringing up the rear. And you are bigger then me." She flashed him a quick grin and turned to the house to watch Zakarias open the door. She tensed. Here we go.

Ethari Xilophent - June 8, 2007 04:14 AM (GMT)
(Yea, I'm back!, sorry for the delay! And I won't god mode your characters to much, so don't worry, yet....... :D )

Ethari sighed, relived that they had all gotten along, and had chosen to prusue the demon threat inside the house. Hopefully they could face the demon threat inside the house together, and eliminate the problem, without much difficulty. May be it was only two demons in there. If it was only two, the three could defeat them with ease, and without much effort.

Ethari was rushed with relief. It was probably only two demons, or at least he hoped. The head demon had only said he was awoken, so may be it was only the two inside. Ethari shook his head, shaking off the thoughts. He had to go inside the house. Zakarais reached for the door, ready for combat. "You can go before me, if you like. I don't mind bringing up the rear. And you are bigger then me."

Ethari nodded and said "That's probably the smartest choice, so go ahead and stay close behind." Ethari nodded to Zakarais, and Zakarias opened the door, the hinges creaking. Zakarais shuffled inside the building, with the others closely behind, ready for danger. They all reached the room, ready for combat, except there was no one inside. The only light in the room was from the sun from the out doors. "Demons can see in the dark", Ethari said, while lighting his own diamond blade with the light spell, "they probably won't have any lights, so this will have to suffice."

Ethari scanned the room, worried about the abcense of the demons. Where did they go? The only reasonable solution was a trap door of sorts. Ethari scanned the room quickly and noticed a small hole in the ground, covered by a wooden chair. Ethari pointed at the wooden hole and said "who wants to go first."

(Go ahead and play your characters normally, and god mode my character if you want to go down the tunnel.)

Zakarias - June 8, 2007 05:55 PM (GMT)
{{Sorry guys I broke meh arm after graduation kinda sucks and I have to use this stupid vocal program but I am back!}}

Creeping towards the entrance Zak made the move to slowly turn and look toward his companions and spoke with quiet but resounding authority.

"Shel you cover me and Ethari take the rear just in case one of our friends decides on a ambush." ~ Zak

Into the cave he went through ash and rock and toward a dim flickering light was there path. Forward....
Finally the cave-like tunnel was at an end when Zak saw a worse sight in the distance the flickering light increased in volume and brightness there it was thought Zak. Suddenly a blinding flash of light covered the area, when it faded away Zak could see the room. It was a death-like horror a demonic fortress used of summoning creatures.

Something happened he did not intend however a drunken fool fell from were the light was cathing himself the fool looked toward Zak.....Vergio! It was his brother for a single moment time stopped as they both relived his falling.

Gathering his senses Zak spoke
"One word Brother?

Shelendri - June 10, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)
SHelendri cast her gaze around when she followed the two angels into the house. No demons, or anyone else for that matter, to bge seen. That was concerning. Where had they gone?
The question was answered when Ethari pointed to a hole in the ground. Shelendri moved closer to it and felt the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. There was something evil down there. She turned uncertainly to the other two, not wanting to go down first. Zararias settled the matter by walking over and entering. Shelendri sighed softly and followed him. She had a bad feeling about this.
After a few meters, the tunnel opened out into a chamber. Against the far wall was a large stone statue with two demons kneeling before it chanting. Shelendri shuddered at the sound of the chanting. She knew dark magic when she heard it.
The statue's outline began to look strangely liquid and blurred. Shelendri tensed. That couldn't be good. The chanting reached a peek and an armoured demon stepped out from it. He swayed slightly, almost as if he was drunk.
Shelendri opened her mouth, to say what she didn't know, when Zakarias beat her to it. "One word Brother?"
That made no sense and she frowned at him. "You know this demon?" The other two demons had reached to Zak's voice and were now drawing weapons. Shelendri tightened her grip on her sword. "Look's like we've got trouble."

Ethari Xilophent - June 17, 2007 12:27 AM (GMT)
Ethari watched as Zakarias climbed down the tunnel, Shelendria following behind him, and Ethari in the rear. He climbed slowly down the tunnel, having a bad feeling by the whole situation. He reached out his will and tried to detect evil presences. He was suddenly winded by casting the spell, for strong evil was present. Ethari continued down without a word, for the others seemed to sense this presence, even without the detect evil spell.

Ethari jumped down quietly, not making a sound. There were two demons, that didn't seem to notice the group entering down the trap door. The two demons began to chant around a demon statue, red runes appearing all around it. A portal seemed to open and a drunk seemed to come out of it. Zakarias opened his mouth and said "One word Brother?"

"You know this demon?" Shelendria said surprised. Ethari's own gaze faltered, for he knew what it was like to have demon siblings, since his sister, Kira was of demon heritage. The other two demons reached for there weapons, and Ethari quickly drew his own diamond blade, ready for combat.

"What do you want us to do Zakarias," Ethari said, concerned. "Should we kill these demons or not?" Ethari sensed a small twitch in one of the demons, sensing there nervousness. They must be concerned by the presence of the new comer. Ethari muttered some arcane words, and cast a weakness spell on the first demon, and repeated it with the second, in case of combat. He then cast a Protection from Shadows spell on himself, Zakarias, and Shelendria. He hoped the fight wouldn't be to difficult, for he had spent a lot of energy on spells, but he was ready to cast his Energy Drainage spell to ready him for combat.

Zakarias - June 17, 2007 12:37 AM (GMT)
'Here we go," Zak muttered to himself.

Zak began to stride forward motioning for the pair to stay back. It was his only hope that his companions knew of his intentions here. He would confront his dark elven brother the fallen angel he was and seek the bottom of this demonic infestation. Forward he went into the spiked altar past the two demons. He saw a quick flinch from one of the demons a dagger came out of his cloak. The demon came closer and suddenly Verigo spoke loudly and quite soberly.

"Efolates stop!" ~Verigo

With a cocky but disapponited smirk Efolates veered backward. Verigo adorned in flahy dark armor came down the stairs and peered toward Zak. Simultanisously they both spoke.

"Hello brother, why are you here? Were have you been" ~Zak
"Hello brother, why are you here? Were have you been"~Verigo

Psh...just like when we were children you always were in my head screwing around! ~Verigo

With a hateful jeer Verigo launched a massive ball of dark matter at Zak, dodging by a hair Zak leapt from his position back to his companions and drew his sword. A slight pain had touched him peering down he saw his injury a burn mark on his left arm it hurt quite unnaturally...

Shaking off the pain and witha cocky disposition Zak spoke to his companions,

"Looks like we are in for a fight!

Raising his sword and spreading his wings Zak launched toward verigo with a forward penetrating stab....

((One rule guys can't kill Verigo))

Ethari Xilophent - June 17, 2007 03:44 AM (GMT)
Ethari watched as Zakarias approached the demon, both seemed on end. The smaller demon, whose guise was gone, had drawn his dagger and attempted to attack Zakarias. "Efolates stop!" the newly summoned demon said. The demon smirked and ruefully put away his dagger, smirking as he sheathed it. The new demon, apparently called Verigo, adorned a set of dark looking armor, with was black and had many spikes and other flashy things attached.

"Hello brother, why are you here? Were have you been" "Hello brother, why are you here? Were have you been" the two said simultaneously. Ethari couldn't help but smirk. Even though they were obviously enemies, they still had brotherly moments, like recently. Psh...just like when we were children you always were in my head screwing around! Verigo said. Ethari's smile quickly faded. He obviously didn't like the fact of having an angel brother, like Ethari's sister didn't like him because he was an angel.

Verigo glared a Zakarias spitefully and conjured a ball of dark energy. Ethari was fascinated and wanted to study what spell it was, but didn't have time, since it was hurdling himself towards Zakarias. Zakarias shifted in the last second, and the dark energy orb only grazed his arm. "Looks like we are in for a fight!" Zakarias shouted. He lunged for Verigo, sword aimed for him. Ethari looked towards Shelendria and said pointing to the second demon, "I'll get the thinner of the two, and you can get the fatter one."

Ethari drew his own diamond blade and circled around the demon. The demon drew a wicked looking barbed sword and lunged for Ethari. Ethari had sensed the mucsle contraction and flew backwards, dodging the blow. He then flew forward, avoiding the sword and placed his hand on his shoulder and muttered Arcane words, casting the Energy Drainage spell. His hand began to glow, and he sapped one fourth of the demons energy, refilling the amount he spent casting his Weakness and Protection from Shadows spells. The demon was weak now, from the two spells, and he crumpled on the floor, exhausted. Ethari pulled his sword back, and decapitated him.

Shelendri - June 17, 2007 05:56 AM (GMT)
Shelendri frowned when Zak and the demon, whose name it seemed was Verigo, spoke. So, they were brothers. That made things...interesting. It was obvious that there was no love lost between them when Verigo shot a the ball of dark energy at Zak. Zak dodged it at the last moment, getting only a burn on his arm. She let out a sigh of relief. That was lucky. She wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of those. She tucked what the ball did away in her memory. A good thing to remember for the next time she came up against it.
Zak launched himself at Verigo, leading with his sword. The other two demons were now moving away from the altar, making for Shelendri and Ethari. Ethari pointed to the bulkier one. "I'll get the thinner of the two, and you can get the fatter one."
Shelendri frowned after him. "Gee, thanks." She turned to the demon, who was drawing a wicked looking sword. She raised a brow at him. "Now now, drawing a weapon on a lady isn't very nice." She raised her free hand and twitched it. The sword flew out of the demon's hand and embedded itself into the cave's wall. She then pointed to the demon. "Achrannach." Thick vines shot up from the ground, surrounding and capturing the demon, lifting him off the ground. He struggled against them, but they only rapped around him tighter.
She turned to Ethari, who was decapitating his opponant. "I've dealt with this one. We should be able to get some information out of him. And thank you ever so much for giving me the bigger one." There was a hint of sarcasim in her voice when she said the last sentance.

Zakarias - June 17, 2007 06:12 AM (GMT)
A slight twinge of knowledge shot through Zak as he acknowledged the demise of one of the demons and the submission of the other. Now was the time to strike gathering all his energy he fell from his Imperial flight and fell upon Verigo sword outcast. Verigo blocked and dodged each swipe all but one and one was enough. the over head arc Zak threw at Verigo landed on the tip of his helm knocking him backwards and nearly into unconciousness.

Gathering dark powers somehow Verigo clung to his power and stood upright with a slight shake as he quickly recovered from Zakarias' blow. Zak was ill-prepared to match Verigo's magical prowess but there was no better swordsmen, with a spinning attack Zak swung his sword in an average low cutting arc--easily dodged--before he followed through Zak cut the blade up into a Deciphyl stance and pressed the blade toward Verigo. The flat of the blade nailed Verigo in the face, while he was confused and stunned Zak took his shot. Twisting the blade fort right he cut Verigo's throat. Not in the manner he intended some Dark power gave Verigo strength enough to draw back. He was wounded but not dead.

A massive black and purple stream erupted from the center spike column , blinded by the light Zak leered back shielding his eyes. When the light dimmed Verigo was gone and naught was in his wake no clue or concept to lead them on. Suddenly a flash of metal came towards Zak's eye. turnng he saw nothing and yet in the distance there was indeed a coiled scroll case. With a disapponited and self-doubting expression Zak walked toward the case with a sense of curiosity there inside the case was a scaematic and ancient text written as code for the demons or so he presumed.

"It seems we've found it the legionarre for the demonic armada!" ~Zak

Ethari Xilophent - June 18, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
Ethari finished his decapitation of the demon, and followed through, ending with his sword held high, blood seeping down his blade. Blood was spattered on the cave wall, and the head of the demon rolled down the side of the cave, and eventually reached a stop when it bumped into the caverns wall. Ethari then turned to see how Shelendri was faring against her opponent. He saw a similarly barbed sword stuck in the cavern wall and the demon was held in the air by some vines. Ethari was some what surprised. He had thought of her of a more physical fighter, but she had rendered the demon helpless with a wave of her hand.

"I've dealt with this one. We should be able to get some information out of him. And thank you ever so much for giving me the bigger one." she said sarcastically. Ethari grinned and said with similar sarcasm "He didn't give you to much trouble, did he? And good job for not killing him, he should prove useful to interrogate later."

Ethari then turned to see how Zakarias was faring against his brother. He was in intense combat, but he had proved himself successful and slit at his brothers throat. A pillar of dark energy hit the stunned demon, and after the pillar disappeared, the demon was gone. A small glint caught Ethari's eye. It was a small scroll case. Zakarias bent over and picked it up, saying "It seems we've found it the legionnaire for the demonic armada!" "Don't open it!" Ethari said worriedly "it may be a trap! Demons are devious creatures, and smart two. I recommend that you try to open it from afar, so if there is an explosion or poison, it will not be released on you."

Shelendri - June 19, 2007 03:37 AM (GMT)
Shelendri made a face at Ethari at his retort to her words, and glanced over at her captive. The demon seemed to have accepted for the moment that he couldn't escape the vines, and was glaring murderously at her. She raised a brow at him. If looks could kill, she would be laying on the floor, dead.
A sudden burst of black and purple errupted to the side. She only saw it out the corner of her eye, so she wasn't blinded by it. When she turned to see what had happened, the third demon was gone, and a scroll case lay on the ground. She reguarded it with suspision. Demons rarely left anything behind they didn't mean to, so there was a reason it had been left there.
She turned to the captive demon again. "Why would that scroll have been sent?" The demon remained silent. She looked over at the two men. "How about you two question him? If I try, I'll just blow him up." She noted with some satisfaction that a worried look came into the demon's eyes. Let him think on that while the men questioned him. Nothing like the threat of being blown up to keep someone honest.

Zakarias - June 19, 2007 12:35 PM (GMT)
Lifting the seal to the scroll case Zak stopped upon hearing,

"I've dealt with this one. We should be able to get some information out of him. And thank you ever so much for giving me the bigger one."

Maybe he was right it could be dangerous, besides it was from his own decieving hateful brother. Damn him. Taking a minute to think Zak heard Shelindri ask for himself adn Ethari to interogate the demoinc fool. Turning to approach the Demon Zak had an idea.

[cokor=blue] Wiat a second Shelindri you have the telekinisis ability running through your veins. why don't you take the scroll case to a distant part of the room and open it via mind wave?" This way we are all protected from its blight"[/color] Perring at the demon with a mysterioous and hateful look Zaj tossed up the scroll into the air and there he waited. There it was the sign he was waiing for, in mid flight the demon cast a sharp look towards the scroll case, it was in fact an accident for it to be left......an interesting twist.

Shelendri - June 20, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
"Wait a second Shelindri you have the telekinisis ability running through your veins. why don't you take the scroll case to a distant part of the room and open it via mind wave? This way we are all protected from its blight."
Shelendri considered what Zak had said and nodded. "Yes, I could do that. Quite easily, in fact." She frowned when Zak sent a look at the captive demon and tossed the scroll into the air. The demon cast a quick look at the scroll case. Shelendri rolled her eyes and muttered "Men. Always showing off." Then she lifted her hand and stopped the scroll in mid flight. She raised a brow at Zak. "It would probably be helpful if the scroll isn't broken when I open it." She then brought the scroll towards her and looked it over. "Well, this should be interesting."
She glanced over at the demon. "Now, is this thing going to explode when I open it or send out any sort of shrapnal or anything. And before denighing it, think of this. I'm going to put up a protective wall. Now, do you want to be with us behind it or not?" The demon didn't say anything, he just nodded. Shelednri took that as confirmation that this would come shooting out of the scoll once opened.
She sent the scroll to the furthest part of the room from the spot the demon was held by the vines, and placed herself next to the demon. She looked over at the two angels. "Now, would you two please come over here." Once they had come over, she crossed her forearms and spoke the word Balla. A wall of wind rose up, surrounding them. She then raised her hand and opened the scroll.

OOC: I'll let one of you two guys post what happened when the scroll opens. My inspiration well isn't working on full today.

Zakarias - June 20, 2007 04:12 PM (GMT)
Zak watched the scroll fall and land in Shelendri's mental grasp and he began to turn back towards the demon to begin the interogation when she cast it into a corner of the room and opened it mentally. Speaking the word Balla the scroll collapsed in on itself and opened. Out came a massive imploded blast of poisonous gas, it was not strong enough to reach them but still Zak lifted a wing just in case.

Spreading his wings Zak fluttered to the scroll and opened the ajar container, inside there was an interesting paradox. A demoinc armada was growing near some uncharted island in the great ocean. Its numbers were in the hundreds supressing this force would be diffucult. Though the demonic writing was quite diffucult to read Zak picked up a few words.

Ihan haihas husbas uihuhsnbn sounsin

The translation of course Zak knew in short was The island of hell be to the son of Verigo. This is interesting it would seem Verigo has more to do with this than I thought.

"It seems my demonic elf of a brother is planning somthing quite terrible off the coast."

Zak took the scroll to the demon lieing on the floor, shoved it in his face, and with a dagger drawn from his left thigh ordered him to read it in basic Ardain. The demon would not comply, in a rage Zak slit his throat only just a little. Massive amounts of blood sparyed from the demons throat...green blood in fact. Stepping back alarmed Zak spoke quite loudly to his companions.

"Since when are demons so weak? For that matter why do they spurt green blood exactly?"

Zak had a hunch it was not a demon but instead was a changling similar to Shelindri but he waited for the others interpretation.....

Ethari Xilophent - June 21, 2007 03:06 PM (GMT)
Ethari watched as the two began to formulate a plan, based on what he had said about the trap. He quickly shot a glance to the demon who was hanging from the vines. He looked uncomfortable, and didn't want to be in this situation. Ethari pointed his diamond blade at him, and the demon seemed to shake. Ethari smiled and turned back towards the scroll, ready for what would happen.

Zakarias tossed the scroll in the air. Shelendri caught the scroll in air with her telekinesis. She turned towards the demon and said "Now, is this thing going to explode when I open it or send out any sort of shrapnel or anything. And before deigning it, think of this. I'm going to put up a protective wall. Now, do you want to be with us behind it or not?" The demon did nothing, so they continued with the opening. "Now, would you two please come over here," she said. Ethari walked over quickly, and waited to see what would happen.

Once they were all far away from the scroll, she opened it with her telekinesis. The scroll shot out a large cloud of poison and it filled the room. Ethari held is wing in front of his face, so not to inhale any of the poison. He didn't know what affect the poison would have on him, so he wouldn't risk it. After the poison cleared, Zakarias translated a little of the script. "It seems my demonic elf of a brother is planning something quite terrible off the coast."
He then began to torture the demon, cutting gently at his throat. Ethari couldn't blame him for it, because he was helping others at the expense of a dark life. "Since when are demons so weak? For that matter why do they spurt green blood exactly?" he said, as he continued his torture on the demon.

Shelendri - June 22, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
A large cloud of poisonous gas shot out of the scroll when Shelendri opened it. She pressed the sleeve of her tunic to her nose and mouth and tried to breathe as shallowly as she could. When the gas had cleared, Zak went over at read the scroll. He said something about his brother, but she wasn't really listening. She was watching the demon. She couldn't be sure, but she thought she had seen its face blur ever so slightly. If she had seen that, it would mean it was some kind of hape shifting creature, and the blur had been caused by the stress it was under.
Zak took the scroll to the demon and demanded it translate it. The demon refuse and Zak cut its neck. Green blood spurted from the wound. She frowned at the drops of it on the stone floor, trying to figure out what was going on. Then she hurried forward and grabbed Zak's arm. "Stop. This isn't a demon. At least, I don't think so." She looked over at the demon. "You aren't, are you? You're some kind of shifter." She lifted her other hand. From the elbow down it blurred and became an eagle's wing.
The creature hung its head and nodded. "I am."
Shelendri shifted her hand back to normal and looked over at Zak. "I doubt that it can help you with the translation." She extrended a hand to the vines and they retracted back into the ground, leaving the creature sitting slumped on the ground.

Zakarias - June 22, 2007 01:02 PM (GMT)
Zak taken aback by what ahppened heard Shelkendri speak as she grabbed his arm.

"I doubt that it can help you with the translation."

For no reason Shelendri realesed the creature from its vine intanglment. But she was right he could not help with the translation but he did give more information to Zak than any scroll could. Speaking his thoughts aloud.

" No he can't give us the translation of the scroll but he did just tell us he was a changling of sorts and as such not part of any demonic armada. Unless this armada is not an armada at all but intsead a small army an inrtgrated unit of chaos and destruction this could lead forward into the abyss."

Zak called Ethari and Shelendri over

"We should take a break maybe we can meet up later but I must go to the misty forest to unlock a hidden key of sorts to my future, time is on our side and he will protect...us. Time and tide my friends be wary of anything you see never trust anyone completly, my friends this is goodbye for now. Once I return from the misty forest I will find you my fellow warriors.

Turning to the demonic apparition of a changling Zak spoke again holding the blade close to the more senstive part of the changling's body.

"Where are your masters?"tell me now!

In a raspy and hateful voice the changling replied.

"Taurerosa Rain....."

There was no more to be said Zak cut the changling's throat mid sentence and rising he nodded to his companions and set of up the tunnel from wence they came so bravely. There was more to this than a local problem...time and tide.

Shelendri - June 26, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Shelendri glanced back at the changeling as Zak spoke, and sighed. What were they going to do with the poor thing? Zak settled the matter a moment later when he slit the changeling's throat. Shelendri gave a low cry of protest and went forward. She stared at the dead changeling for a second, then watched Zak disappear down the tunnel. Going forward, she picked up a rock and threw it at the tall angel. "You didn't have to do that Zak!" She felt some satisfaction when the rock bounced off the back of his head. "You didn't even know why it was with the demons. They could have forced it to help them." Zak killing the changeling without any seeming thought to why it was there caused a raw spot for Shelendri. As a shape shifter, she couldn't help wonder what would have happened if it had been her. Would he have killed her, like he had the changeling?

Zakarias - June 26, 2007 12:39 PM (GMT)
Zak nearly reached the end of the tunnel when a big rock hit the back of his head, instintivly reaching for a blade he turned to she it was a maddened Shelendri. She was furious.

"You didn't have to do that Zak!You didn't even know why it was with the demons. They could have forced it to help them."

Peering down towards his feet and with a slumped shoulder Zak slowly approached Shelendri.

" I will not spologize , he was of no further use not to mention the fact that by blood and duty alone he would have returned to the demons a failure....there is nothing worse to a demon than failure nothing. They would have tortured him to death, he has gained justice and mercy in the same hour.

Zak made the effort to lift her chin to his gaze and spoke.

Shelendri I have known you for little more than a day and yet I feel I have known you a year, or more. I know what you are thinking and niether of us would ever harm you. I did what I did for his own good for his happiness. Now he will walk through the gates and he will have his fate chosen. But at least his last moments were swift and quick. Mercy is our greatest weeapon and our mightest shield." Turning his back once more, Zak went step by step to the exit and launched himself high into the air headed for the Misty Forest.

Shelendri - June 28, 2007 05:03 AM (GMT)
Shelendri considered Zak's words, and then nodded. "All right then." She watched him leave, then turned to Ethari. "Now what? I don't know about you, but I've never had to prepare for a demon army, or whatever it is that's threatening the Sanctuary, before. Zak telling us to take a break is all well and good, but it doesn't help in the other stuff." She glanced at the dead changling, then walked over to the tall angel. "I've been in one or two battles before, but this sounds like it'll be on a scale I've never seen before. We should probably find ourselves some people to help us. I know a few, but they're all prbably quite a distance from here. Do you know anyone who can help us?" Backing down and not entering this fight didn't occure to her. She'd allied herself with Ethari and Zak, so she was going to fight with them. It was no different to if one of her friends needed her help in a fight.
