Title: A Dark Evening
Description: Open to all

Lan - May 24, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
Lan drifted onto the shore of the Eastern Coast. The boat he had been on earlier in the evening had crashed into some unknown creature he couldn't give a name too. The creature smashed into the ship almost destroying it completely. When it crashed into the boat Lan had tried to destract whatever it was from killing the crew. So he jumped off the boat and began to swim away from the boat making the creature switch its attention to him. He never knew what happened to the rest of them after that...the creature flung him up into the air knocking him out in one swack of what he thought was a tail. Lan wanted to know what the thing was but he decided it wasn't worth risking his life to find out. He couldn't swim for long anyway...he just floated in the water on a broken peace of wood...it was the only thing keeping him from the depths of the ocean.
Lan washed onto the shore, sand, various green plants, and the smell of the ocean on him. First Lan carefully removed the green plants that littered his shirt then he brushed the sand off of his clothes. A chilly wind blew against him; would have made any human shiver in discomfort, but he couldn't feel it he was a vampire. Lan didn't even notice there was a breeze.
Luckily Lan he still had his staff so he could heal any injuries if he had any at all. Lan carefully made sure he had no wounds of any sort. Just a slight scratch across the face and a red mark on his left side from where the creature hit him. Neither caused him any pain for he lacked the feeling sense.
Lan scanned his surroundings making sure nothing was a threat to him. As soon as that was done he leaned against his staff wandering what should be done next. traveling was fun...but where to go next? This place sure was nice for a quick rest and he needed one too. Lan decided to rest here for a bit. No harm in that.
Lan watched the moonlight shine on the sand and other rocks among the sand. The Eastern Coast sure was beautiful at night.

Kyran - June 19, 2007 04:35 AM (GMT)
Kyran walked along the beach, moving slowly but nearly silently. Shivering as the cold wind blew against him, Kyran wrapped his cloak around him tightly. Looking up ahead, he saw the shape of some sort of being resembling a man. Causious of him/it, Kyran stayed a few hundred feet away and raised his voice. "Greatings. I would like to speak to you face to face, but I am unsure of..." Kyran paused to gather his thoughts. "Intentions. Am I welcome?"

Lan - June 20, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
Lan turned at the sound of a strong voice. He was alittle alarmed at first but calmed down quickly.
"Welcome." Lan replied in a cheery voice. "It is alright. I am no threat to you."Lan paused for a moment unsure of what else to say. After a quick moment of thought he then spoke in a friendly voice,"You can join me if you wish. I'm only resting here for a while. My name is Lan. Its nice to meet you."

Lan smiled and waited for the other man to appear before him.

The night had started out innocent enough, Caine wandered across the shore, heading in the general direction of his home, whistling cheerfully. Then he heard a voice, and was forced to dart to the shadows, instantly on guard. So much for a normally peaceful walk on the beach. Coming to a standstill he listened to what the two were saying, brushing away a stray strand of hair that had fallen in his face. From what he could tell, there was only one other person on the shore with him, but he highly doubted this 'Lan' person would go about talking to himself, and the two voices sounded distinctly different. Crouching onto the sand he waited for more to be said, assessing his current situation. Caine didn't know who either man was, but until one of them proved him otherwise, both were enemies.

He hated having to judge people without getting to know them first, but the world was in war. Having choosen neither side, Caine didn't exactly expect to be welcomed by either, so he was forced to examine the situation and move from there. Cursing slightly under his breath, he reached to his back to pull out an arrow, only to remember he'd been coming from work, he hadn't needed the arrows.

Lan - June 21, 2007 03:06 AM (GMT)
Lan waited for the other man to make a response. For some reason while he was waiting he sense he was being watched. Lan couldnt tell if anyone else was out there but he had that sense in his mind for some reason.

Lan searched the area for anything suspicious but found nothing that looked strange.

I know...someone else is out there...but i wander why...Lan thought looking at the sand.

Lan was indecisive for a moment. Unsure of whether he should say something else or not.

"Is anyone else out there?" Lan called politely. "I'm a mere healer and I have no wish to fight. Please let no harm befall me. I won't hurt you I promise. I'm just here to rest. Join me if you wish too."

Kyran - June 28, 2007 05:54 AM (GMT)
Walking the distance that was between Lan and himself, Kyran relaxed a slight amount. He had found healers, for the most part were not as ready to start a fight as others. However, the unknown other that Lan had somehow senced was still a potential threat. "Yes. Come join us. I myself are a meer cleric, not trained well in combat. Surely, a healer and a cleric can not pose much of a worry for others?"
