Title: Visiting the Library
Description: open to all

Kitsu-Chan - May 10, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
Kitsu had heard that the city had a large and very popular library. And upon seeing it she could see why.
"Wow," she exclaimed as she looked up at it "how do they build these things so big without them falling down."
She walked around it, admiring every bit of it she could see. She probably found the outside more impressive than most other people did, and was probably attracting a lit of funny looks from passersby, however she chose to ignore them and continued her enthusiastic admiration of the building.

After a few hours of looking around it, she decided she may as well go inside.
After all, she thought if the outside's this good, then the inside must be great.
She wandered up to the large doors and walked inside; upon entering she felt the same hyper admiration as she did before.
"Wow, that's a whole lot of books," she muttered "it must have taken years to write them all."
She wandered around through the different shelves, taking a look at the different ones. She selected one of the books from the shelf nearer the entrance; it was a thick red one with gold printed text.

She sat down and flicked through the book backwards, skimming through the pages. She stopped and then turned back (or forwards in this case) with a confused look on her face, then replaced it with a puzzled expression.
"Aw, I can't read the language in it," she moaned silently "how the heck do you pronounce these thing anyway?" She continued, looking at the Ea equivalent of the word 'That'.
She skimmed backwards through it a bit more, the book had a few pictures in it, but that was about all she could understand. Once she reached the front cover she stopped, and then turned to the back again, and then the front.
"Why is the title on that side?" she muttered "some bodies printed this book backwards."

She looked at the back of the book again, looking down the small blurb and attempting to understand what it meant.
"Hey, wait," she muttered to herself "what if they write the other way around over her. This is too confusing."

Adam Hawk - May 20, 2007 02:44 PM (GMT)
Adam sat in an armchair giggling at a book. He read almost fifty pages that day, yet he really didn't read it at all. He tried making out the words before, but then he just gave up and acted like he was reading the book so the children that walked by didn't see him as a dummy. A stupid plan, but he was bored of his thief life, or so he didn't have anything to work on as a thief.

So he turned the paged and kept on pretending to read while a small group of girls passed by. Adam laughed as they went by, but the little girls didn't seem to notice him, or they were just afraid of the sword he had at his side. Adam had stuck it in, and he really didn't have trouble keeping it. He just looked like another guard taking a break. So he flipped to the next page and once again pretended...

Kelvor - May 20, 2007 05:31 PM (GMT)
A hand wrapped up into dark bandages has been suddenly placed upon the book the girl was reading, then it was pulled out of her hands and turned the other side around, before pushed back to her. It was pretty obvious that the girl didn’t know to read the language of these parts and that she was holding the book in a wrong manner. “Now try to read it…” The voice of a young man suddenly broke the silence of the library, if she would glance up at him, she would see that even the lower half of his face was wrapped up in bandages, only his eyes were visible and they looked red and tired, as if he didn’t sleep for a straight week. A hood was covering his head, and over the bandages he wore dark brown leather clothes and a cloak. He seemed like a rogue, but didn’t look better than a beggar, despite his young age and handsome features he once possessed. His eyes used to be of the most beautiful color, but not anymore, they expressed only sorrow and agony, and everyone looking into them could read the story of his life with such ease.

In fact this man was suffering from a rare disease which worsened his condition with each passing day, he was there in the library to document himself about similar curses as the one bestowed upon him and formerly upon his mother in hopes of finding a cure, but the more he tried the more felt like he departed from an answer and a cure for his disease. He was holding a book into his right hand, a book which concerned the many undead races, especially the undead sorcerers and wizards: the liches, they were the most feared of all, and one of them could be connected to his curse, at least it’s worth giving a shot to it.

In order for him to find some answers and gain a cure, he needed to leave the city behind, and leave into the quest of his life, but the time was not yet, he was slightly afraid of what he could encounter on the way, or even if he will survive that long.

Adam Hawk - May 20, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
Adam looked up when he heard the voice. He put down the book he was pretending to read a stood up. He still didn't reach for his sword for there were guards posted all over outside. He ducked behind a bookcase and spied on the two that stood near the doorway. Still the one that really fascinated him was the man in bandages. Adam stared at him in awe, for he looked just like he had always wish. Mysterious, strong, and scary. Adam then got a closer look by acting like he had walked out the door. He caught a glimpse of the book and then scurried out the door and peered through a window. "Man I'm good" he thought think he was a master spy, mostly he was just pretending...

Kelvor - May 20, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
The red eyes of Kevlor remained lingering on the girl before him, he only now noticed her strange features, and even though he was curios and impressed at what he saw, he remained silent about it, and didn’t exteriorized any feelings, in fact he didn’t have any time to do that, strange noises were coming from one of his side, it sounded like someone was trying to sneak up on him, and the said person looked like an amateur. You can’t fool Kelvor with such things, he was an experienced rogue, despite his very young age.

His hand turned in a flashing of a second, scanning the surrounding areas, but the prospect of encountering some trouble or someone dangerous was actually minimal, guards were scattered everywhere across the library, and they didn’t allow everyone in, or at least they didn’t allow troublemakers in.

For the time being he chose to ignore the sounds, perhaps his mind was just playing some tricks on him, he was very tired, he came after many sleepless nights. His attention turned back towards the girl, and his hand slowly slid away from her book.

"Enjoy your book, miss!"

He gave her one more look before he started to take small steps behind, one by one, the darkness of the library slowly starting to engulf his being, he seemed as if he was disappearing. He planned on going back to his reading, unless something else interfered.
Though the thought of a stalker still haunted his mind, he could also feel its presence.

Adam Hawk - May 20, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
Adam watched from the window at the figure until he disappeared into the darkness of the library. He then looked at the girl reading the book. She wouldn't make a good prize, to have true fame Adam had to take down a more experience individual. He once again entered, but was stopped by a guard. Adam noticed that his sword was showing, he could go in with it. Still he had to get inside again. He drew the sword and slashed three of the guards down to the ground.

Commotion filled the area as Adam dashed inward. Guards circle the building blocking off Adam. Adam once again drew his blade and cut through two of them and charged into the building. The reader jumped away in fright of the rogue. He ran down the dim rows of books until he reach the rogue, but just as he was about to slash the man in two, Adam was hit from behind by a guard. He was quickly cuffed and thrown to the ground, he was only three feet away from the rogue, he had been so close!

Kitsu-Chan - May 20, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
Kitsu gave up attempting to read and just sat there staring at the page, it didn't make much sense to her since she came from a different country altogether that had very little contact with this one. She'd only been able to learn to speak the language on her way here, and she hadn't even done that right. She sighed and leaned back, then noticed somebody watching her nearby, he spoke and then wandered off and vanished. Kitsu stared after him, confused.
"What was that about?" She muttered.

She looked back down at the book, sighed and picked it up to go and put it back. She slotted it back in the appropriate shelf when she heard a comotion nearby, several yells and a sword being swung. A man ran past with blood on his sword, persued by a few guards, Kitsu flattened herself against the shelf as they passed by, the guards caught the man and forced him to the floor.
"Man, this place is wierd," Kitsu muttered looking at the man on the ground "so much for peace and quiet."
She sighed and leaned against the shelf, feeling sligh shock from the sudden arrival and abrupt end of the man's attempts at chaos.
"What was he after anyway?" She muttered.

Adam Hawk - May 20, 2007 10:18 PM (GMT)
Adam struggled to get free and moved all over, but the guards grip was too tight for him. He tried to reach for his sword, but as he did another guard quickly kick is down towards the brown rogue who was still there. "Help me!" Adam cried to the rogue, "Help!" Still Adam knew the rogue wouldn't be so happy if he had almost killed the man, but it was still worth a try. He tried nudging the guards with his elbow, but it was no use. He was slowly dragged away and taken out of the building and onto the streets.
